Ugh, that bed is so uncomfortable! But you know what I will probably get used to it over time. And last night I met the girl who lives in the dorm next to me, she is really sweet and she is so pretty. I think her name is Niki, I don't know, she just told me to call her that. We met while walking into the bathroom at the same time, because of both doors that lead in. She needed to brush her teeth while I needed to have a shower. We started a conversation and eventually, we both forgot why we were in there.
She then invited me over to her dorm and it was aesthetic. Niki and I talked for hours, about our hometowns, our goals, and just overall girly stuff. Until she noticed the time, "Oh shit y/n! It's already past midnight! I am so sorry, I don't want to keep you up, you need sleep!" She said. "Oh no please, it's fine Niki. To be honest with you, I am normally up later than this! But thanks for the night!" I said. She smiled and waved as I left her dorm.
As I lay there, on my bed thinking about the fun me and Niki had, she burst into my room, "Hey you up Y/N YOU'RE NOT EVEN UP!!" She slightly yelled. I sat up slowly, taking my time, "Wha- Huh?" I asked, slightly dizzy. "Oh, wow," Niki said facepalming, "I knew this would happen. So, so I helped you out and got some of our stuff ready for class, I just hope this helps because I didn't have a lot of time," she continued. "No, no, Niki please, you didn't have to. Thanks so much." I chimed in.
"Well it's your first day so I wanted to do something to help," she began, grabbing her stuff to get out the door, "Hope your day goes well, all the best," she waved and walked out the door. Oh, I am so thankful she is so nice, that other girl that just looked and walked past me yesterday and gave me a dirty look was pretty rude. But today was okay, I was well rested and... ALMOST LATE OH MY GOD!! I speedran my morning routine in 5 minutes. I looked okay and made sure I looked better in the mirror. I told myself that I was gonna be okay and walked out the door and locked it behind me.
Some of my books fell out of my binder when I went to put my keys in my bag. Godamnit I am so clumsy, I quickly bent down to pick them up when the same girl from yesterday was talking on her phone, then bumped into me and blamed it on me. "UGH! YOU ARE SO CLUMSY! GET OUT OF MY WAY!" The girl fumed. "I- 'm so sorry..." I apologized. But all she could do was sigh and walk off with sass.
Well, she was a help. As she walked off she kicked a few of the books away. But a familiar face came and helped me, the boy from yesterday, "Don't worry about her, she's just always mean. Are you alright?" he asked. "Well, no, not really. I am late for class and my books are scattered everywhere and-" I got cut off by him saying, "So, the rough morning I'm guessing?" I looked at him like he was an idiot. He chuckled, "Don't worry it's the first day, you have a free late pass to every class."
He helped me pick up the rest of my books and helped me up, I smiled up at him, he was like 7 feet so yeah. "Where are you first?" He asked. I got out my phone to see where I was and it turns out I was in the library for most of the day, that was kinda nice. "Oh I am in the library most of the day," I told him, "What- What classes do you have?" I continued to ask. He smiled, "Well that's funny I would normally have classes in the library but not today."
I turned my head like a confused dog, "Well, I got assigned to tour you around today!" He continued. My eyes lit up and a huge smile formed on my face, I don't know what I was thinking when I did this. I dropped EVERYTHING and squeezed him like that last hug with Alex. I thought it was so stupid, so I started to pull out of the hug but he had me in his arms. We stood there in the middle of the hall, hugging, for a good 20 seconds, before we both pulled out as if nothing happened.
We both looked at each other and burst out laughing, mainly because I dropped my books, AGAIN. But mainly because to anyone, that is so awkward. On the way back to my dorm, we were talking about how funny this coincidence is like we were meant to meet at first. A few steps away from the door I stopped him and asked, "Hey," he looked over, "Hm?" he replied. "I need to ask, I know this might be personal but can I ask your name?" I continued. He froze, "Uh- Uhh- I- Uhh-" he stuttered, "Oh, please it's okay I can-" I got interrupted. "It's Mark... Well, that's what everyone calls me." He said.
"Mark..." I pondered, then smiled, "Sweet name!" I added. I saw him blush a little bit, do I really do that to him? I blushed at his blushing, oh god, what the hell is wrong with me? Anyways, I got my key out and surprisingly didn't drop anything this time. We got in and he placed some of my books down on the counter and Mark motioned for me to come with him, so I did just that. I dumped everything on the couch and ran over to him standing at the doorway, he was leaning on the doorframe, he was kinda...
As I ran over to him he smirked a little and grabbed my arm, he was about to move before I stopped him to lock my door. When I did, I gave him the nod of approval as he started running down the hall with his hand around my wrist, not knowing how fast he was, I got dragged a little but just ran faster and got used to it. We were getting to the stairs, and almost every female knows YOU. CAN'T RUN. DOWN. STAIRS. So I crossed my arm over my chest to stop it from happening and not look like an idiot walking downstairs.
We got downstairs and we turned right into a suspicious hallway, I looked at him with a confused look, "What? I have been here thousands of times," he said. I trusted him, so I ran down there with him. Mark got out a bobby pin and unlocked a door all the way down the hall. I was amazed when I saw a huge games room right in front of my eyes, full of different game tables and arcade games.
He smiled and motioned me to come in, the good thing is that these were the types of games that we didn't need to pay for. Mark and I spent a good 3 hours just wasting our time in there, I beat him in Pac-Man while we got a drawn tie in air-hockey "Oh my god!" I said checking the time, "dude, we spent almost 4 hours doing this!" we both chuckled a little bit. But after all, he did need to tour me around so I am glad that I will still be with him. "Oh shoot! You are right! We got so distracted, you need to know your way around this place," he paused.
"I have another special place I like to go to on my own, but now that you are here, maybe you would like to hang out?" I smiled, "Of course I would! It's not that I have any other friends here, well except for my semi-roommate but I am pretty sure she has her friends as well." I said. That made him chuckle, "Hah, alrighty," he said locking up the door to the room we were just in, "So already you know that is the SECRET games room, and like all down there is..." he went on and on as we walked down the many doorways with many classrooms connected.
We were out at the agriculture plot when he quickly ran behind the many storage containers and put his hand out telling me to stop, so I did. I was a bit concerned, but he put his hand back out with a thumbs up, I walked behind the containers to see an abandoned water fountain with moss and cracks in it. "Oh my god! This is so- Wow!" I was speechless, but I just smiled, there were little logs around it as well, for seats, this was from like a fairy tale scene or something.
I smiled up at him, and he smiled back and quickly looked away. "This is the place I would go to when I am stressed, or, most of the time just to hang out here," he said. We started chatting as I walked around, admiring the space. "I am so glad you like it, I thought you would think this was dumb..." he said. "No..." I cooed, lifting my hand and putting it on his shoulder, "It's okay, I love it." *RIIIIIIIIIIING* it was getting dark, I quickly remembered I had a piece of paper in my pocket with my number on it.

"Hey, I am so sorry. I have to go," I apologized while pulling out that note, "Here, have this. I'll see you tomorrow." I placed it in his hand and ran off, I remembered I promised Niki that I would meet her at the dorm around 4 pm, so I had to get going. I then looked back seeing him walk around the containers already on his phone, putting it in. I never really thought he would want it because we would be seeing each other every day, but I guess not.
