The girls were surprised to hear Rage finally kissed me. It's been a month and Emily was due any day now. I think her due date is next week actually.
Everyone in the club was trying to wrap up the whole Red Skulls thing. They still have done nothing to hurt us. Lucian thinks they are waiting until Emily has her baby so then we will be vulnerable. I really hope not.
"Emily, when do you start dance again?" Josie asked. We were all sitting in the study while the guys had church.
"In a few weeks. We get a break after big shows." I explained. "And my studio is mixed ages so we have to give a break to younger students."
"Guys guess what!" Vanessa ran into the room. She was really excited about something.
"What happened?" Hannah asked.
"I found our my brother lives a state away!" Vanessa shouted. I didn't even know she had one.
"You have a brother?" Emily asked. I guess she didn't know either.
"Yeah! We got separated after the orphanage. I've been trying to find him since I left." Vanessa's smile suddenly fell. It was like she suddenly remembered something she didn't want to. "But If I brought him here I don't know if he will be welcomed. " She said.
"Why do you mean?" Hannah asked.
"He's different than the other men here." Vanessa sighed heavily. "He's gay." She finally said.
"Really?!" Emily clapped her hands together. "Don't worry! I'll make sure they are nice to him!"
"I still have to talk to Alpha about it though." Vanessa said. Sometimes I forget he runs the club. He's always with Emily.
"Well I have no say in how that goes, but I'll talk to him about it." Emily smiled.
"Sooo, how old is your brother?" Josie asked. I wondered the same thing.
"He's my twin." Vanessa said.
"Really! That's so exciting! I wish I had a sibling." Hannah pouted. I agreed with her. A sibling would be nice. I'd have someone to understand me a little more.
"Look the boys just got out." Josie pointed across the hall. Sure enough the door was open and a group of grumpy men filed out. Of course the last two being Alpha and Rage.
Rage immediately spotted me from the hall. He didn't come into the room but gave me a quick nod and gestured towards the bar. He wanted me to follow him.
"Your boys calling." Hannah teased.
"Have you guys done anything other than kiss?" Emily whispered. She was definitely the most nosey.
"No." I laughed. "He did take me on a normal ride though." I smiled. He took me out to the country to enjoy some quiet. It was nice.
"New couple alert!" Josie laughed.
"N- not yet." I said. My cheeks had grown red from the girl's teasing.
We were suddenly interrupted by a crash in the bar area. We all immediately got up to go see what happened. Hannah stood close by Emily in case it was bad.
One of the windows up front was smashed in and a brick laid below it. It looked like a paper was taped to it.
"Shit." Hex grabbed his laptop and immediately pulled up camera footage.
"Zane, we are going to need a house." Lucian said as he picked up the brick. What did he need a house for.
"On it." Zane said. Both of the twins Than disappeared up a staircase.
"What happened?" Emily asked as we all stepped out.
"Red Skulls. They threw a damn brick through the window." Bruiser growled. They were all really angry.
"They want a war, for land." Lucian read the note.
"Greedy motherfuckers." Ghost swore.
All of the men were complaining about the issue, but Rage wasn't. He was watching over the crowd. I wasn't sure what he was looking for but he was thinking hard about it.
Eventually his eyes landed on mine. He was clearly angry. His look was dark and his expression blank. He made a come here motion, gesturing me over to him. I made my way through the bar to get over to him. Many of the men were talking about what this war meant. It didn't sound good.
When I finally reached Rage he was standing against the bar. I sat on a stool next to him so I was closer to his height, not that it worked.
"You'll have to go to a safe house with the girls." Rage said. I looked at him confused.
"Where?" I asked. I've come to understand that when a decision is made in this club, we can't say anything about it. So even though I don't want to go somewhere else, I have no choice. I'd have to disconnect from the club and I definitely don't want that.
"Four hours away." Rage said.
"Why so far?!" I asked surprised. That was so far from the club, from Rage. Even though we weren't mates I still have gotten use to him hanging around me.
"Don't fight it." Rage grumbled.
"Who's coming with us?" I asked him. I hoped it wasn't going to be someone I didn't know well.
"Darius and there will be more people at the house." He explained. This was starting to sound like too much.
"I don't like this, Rage." I sighed. This feels the same as running. I just hoped my father wouldn't follow us.
"Me neither." Rage said.
I took a glance to where I left the girls. They had all moved to sit at a booth with their men, well besides Josie. She was just sitting by herself. I guess Zane was still upstairs. I wonder what was up there? Maybe offices.
When I turned back to Rage he scowling at the people sitting around the club. He really did not like crowds. I placed a hand on his cheek and turned his face towards me.
"Please don't get killed." I pleaded. Rage nodded and leaned into my touch. He had become much more affectionate over the last month. It was really interesting.
Rage leaned forward and gave me a quick kiss before helping me off the stool. He gestured towards the booth where everyone else was. I nodded and followed him over there.
"Nice of you to join us." Hannah raised a brow. I shook my head and slid into the booth. It was one of those round booths so it surprisingly fit all of us.
"We were talking about the safe house." Rogue said.
"You girls leave tomorrow." Lucian said. Emily gave him a quick glare.
"That is almost no time to prepare. It's bad enough you aren't coming with us and I am carrying your child almost full term!" Emily said very angrily. I would say it's hormones but I'd be upset too.
"Darling, you'll be back by your due date." Lucian said.
"Whatever." Emily crossed her arms.
"Why don't you go get packed." Ghost suggested. All of us looked at each other before agreeing.
"Fine, but you stay here." Hannah said as we all started exiting the booth.
"Let's get started girls." Vanessa smiled.
