Chapter Sixteen
She's Just Doing Her Job
3rd person POV
selene woke up the next morning and seeing as it was monday, they looked over and noticed that tory was asleep in their arms. selene got up and removed tory from their arms as they got up and got dressed
"how do you manage to go to school if you're on probation?" tory groaned as she sat up and selene looked over at her through the mirror
"max was the one that swung for me, i didn't start it but putting him in the hospital had always been my proudest moment" selene said and tory chuckled under her breathe as selene walked into the bathroom and brushed their teeth before putting their hair up and sighing
"so there's this kid , his name is kenny apparently robby knows his older brother and he's training him" tory said as she stood up and grabbed the bag that she left on the ground
"and?" selene asked and tory shrugged
"i don't know it's weird, why is robby training him when kreese could?" tory questioned
"because we all know how kreese is, tory and nobody needs his fangs stuck in them too" they said and they pulled their shirt over their head before pulling their underwear and jeans on
"yeah i guess you're right" tory said and selene looked at the alarm
"i have to go but i'll see you later alright" selene spoke and tory nodded as she grabbed her things and left through the balcony. selene drove to school but after, they drove to miyagi-do and found the others pretty quickly
"hey" selene said and they looked around
"no beetle today?" daniel asked and they shrugged
"left him at the house, i'll try to bring him tomorrow. i came right from school" selene said and they fell in line as they started to do the practices with everyone else as johnny watched them and then they watched him get kicked in the face by demetri
"hawk you saw that right?" selene said and hawk laughed under his breathe as he nodded before they walked inside and continued to practice
"let all your aggression disappear" daniel said and then class was over
"diaz, blackburn, you hungry? i'll make your favorite" he said and miguel shook his head
"i'm actually going with mr.larusso to fix up the car" miguel said and selene nodded
"yeah i have to go home to beetle, sorry johnny" they said and he sighed
"it's alright selene, i'll see you tomorrow kid" he said and they nodded as they got in their car and they drove away. they drove to the park and sat there as the radio played and they stared at the park softly. they remembered everything with tory in this place
they remembered being with her and not worrying about hating her or pissing anyone off but now , now they couldn't do anything without people worrying or being mad at them for it
they got a text from sam and they opened it
'i'm bored at this party, you should come join' sam texted and selene sighed
'on my way' they said and they pulled out of the parking lot as they drove to location that sam sent and they walked in to be met with bright lights and multiple kids
"oh thank god you came, you have to see this" sam said and she led selene in as selene made eye contact with tory and she looked down in embarrassment but selene didn't look away
"it's funny isn't it" sam asked and selene shrugged as they looked at the ground
"she's just found her job" selene spoke and sam scoffed as she shrugged and shook her head before she proceeded to stare at tory and then they sat down with sam as they listened to tory tell a story to the kids
" the prince did everything he could to climb them out and but the dragon carried me there so he could eat me alive but then the valiant prince came to my rescue" tory said and selene smiled
" Oh is that the prince that you stole from another princess?" sam interrupted and selene kicked her foot but she didn't stop
" the other Princess wasn't dating that Prince anymore" tory retorted and then she looked at selene
"i'm sorry" selene whispered and tory shrugged before she continued
" OK, the dragon breathing fire at the prince melting his sword . So I had to save the prince" tory continued
"using what? a weapon? Like, I don't know, spiked bracelet or nunchucks?" sam said and selene smacked her arm
"stop it" selene said and sam scoffed
"no, By singing a magic song" tory stated
" How did the song go?" sam asked
"yeah sing us the song" and tory started to sing as sam laughed and stood up with selene following
"why do you have to be a bitch? your mom told her to stay away and she's staying away so stay away from her" selene said and they turned and backed away as kids came running over
"die. evil witch" the kids yelled and selene laughed under their breathe as tory kissed her fingers and smiled at selene
"thanks for trying to defend me" tory said and selene nodded
"she shouldn't have started it , she had no right" they said and selene nodded before tory looked at miguel and sam and stood up
"hey woah wait" selene called and they ran after tory but mrs larusso ran after her first and selene followed close behind as they listened to them talk to each other
"no one can help you if you don't let them" she said and tory sighed
" i have selene, selene is helping me. now i have to go" tory stated and she stormed off and selene sighed
"selene, there's a movie thing tonight are you coming?" miguel asked and they nodded
"yeah i'll see you there" selene said and they left only to meet up with them a few hours later. they saw kenny and the other kids. hawk stood behind kenny and selene sar
"that sucks" hawk said and selene looked at them as robby came near him and kenny walked over to him but selene leaned on the wall
"you know i thought that after that call with me in jail than me and you would be closer now" robby said to selene and they shrugged before tory stepped forward with the other and sam stepped forward too and then demetri came
" Hey guys can you believe that they of Mr. Pibb and Dr Pepper?"
demetri said and selene sighed
"metri" they groaned and he sighed as they watched
" we'll beat them on the mat" miguel said
" Oh really? You do remember what happened last time we foughr right?" robby said and selene stepped forward
"yeah you ended up in jail for being a bitch" selene said and max stepped forward too
"hey max how's your leg? still broken?" they asked and he stepped back as tory smirked at selene
she was proud of her for that sentence
" OK. Meet us at the baseball diamond in 30 minutes. And no weapons" miguel said
"yeah we won't need them" tory said and they went to the baseball diamond but stayed on the car as they watched the livens to down and the sprinklers go off
" Dude genius move we didn't even have to throw a punch" hawk said and selene sighed
"my favorite kind of hit" demetri said and selene shared a look with sam
selene didn't want to do this anymore, they liked tory and they were tired of fighting her but was tory tired of it?
