Arthur Leywin POV
"ARTHUR LEYWIN!!!"
Tess and I look towards the sound of the voice, and I see Lucas standing a few feet away from us. Lucas' face was contorted in rage, and he glared at me with malicious intent. I could feel the bloodlust emanating from him that was directed towards me.
"Lucas, what are you doing out here so late? You're supposed to be in your dorm." I said as I stepped in front of Tess in a protective manner.
Lucas just scoffed, "I heard a rumor that you'd be out here tonight, Leywin. How dare you! How dare you make a fool out of me like that today!"
I narrowed my eyes at him as he pulled out his staff from his dimensional ring. I pulled out Regret from my dimensional ring as well, knowing this wasn't going to end well. "Lucas, I apologize for what happened today in class. But I had no intention to humiliate you. It was a spar, the fact that you pe-."
"Be silent you bastard! You humiliated me! Me! A member of House Wykes! I will make you pay!" Lucas yelled with a voice of rage.
'This isn't good.'
I pulled out my disciplinary committee dagger from its sheath and activated it, hoping Claire was close by.
"Calm down Lucas. It's not too late to walk away. There is no need for violence." Tess said from behind me.
"CALM DOWN!? CALM DOWN?! DON'T TELL ME TO CALM DOWN YOU WHORE!" Lucas yelled.
My eyes widened at this and I felt my blood boil. "Don't you dare speak to her like that!" I said as I dashed forward using Thunderclap Impulse. Lucas raised his staff and summoned a fire guardian in front of him.
I stopped just in front of the guardian and wrapped my sword in water. I swung my sword sideways, shooting forward an arc of water that clashed with the fire guardian. The wave of water and fire guardian dissipated in a cloud of steam. I thrust my hand forward shooting a cone of wind that carried the steam forwards. The cloud of steam hit Lucas as he yelled in pain.
A wave of fire erupted from Lucas before he conjured six fireballs above him. He shot the fireballs forward as I jumped back. I dodged three of the fireballs, but the other three adjusted course and flew at me.
I was about to dodge again when three wind blades flew past me and hit the fire balls dissipating them. I looked back and saw Tess with her staff out with a determined look. She shot me a smug smile and nodded.
Tess waved her staff and conjured four more wind blades above her and shot them at Lucas. I dashed forwards towards Lucas as he slammed his staff into the ground, creating a wall of fire. The wind blades collided with the wall of fire dissipating the wall. I closed in on Lucas as fire erupted around him in a cyclone. I jumped back just in time barely dodging the flames.
Lucas shot three fireballs at me, but I was too close to dodge in time. A wall of vines appeared in front of me blocking the attack. I smirked at this.
'That's my girl.'
The wall of vines burned away and I dashed to the side, as Lucas followed me with hateful eyes.
I watched Lucas as his eyes flicked to Tess, and he gave a sinister smile. He waved his staff in the air and two flame guardian's formed in front of Tess.
"Tess!" I yelled looking at her concerned.
"I'm good Art!" Tess yelled back and waved her staff in the air, creating four wind cyclones around her.
She shot the cyclones forward, hitting the flame guardians, destroying them. I smiled at this, happy she was ok. Tess looked at me and her eyes went wide eyed.
"Art, look out!" Tess yelled. I looked back and saw Lucas in front of me. I went wide-eyed at this.
'Damn, he snuck up on me while I was distracted.'
Lucas had a giant fireball formed in front of him, and shot it at me. I jumped back using wind magic as the fireball hit where I was standing with a huge explosion. I was knocked back a little by the shockwave but managed to land on my feet.
Lucas started to wave his staff again when vines shot up from the ground and wrapped around him. Using this opportunity I dashed forward using Thunderclap Impulse and closed in on Lucas. Lucas wrapped himself in fire magic and burned the vines away, freeing his staff. Lucas began to wave his staff, but was too slow as I stopped right in front of him with my sword wrapped in wind magic.
I swung my sword hitting Lucas in his side sending him flying. Lucas skidded to the ground as laid on his back yelling in pain. Lucas, still conscious, reached for his staff which fell next to him. Vines wrapped around Lucas holding him to the ground, as I dashed forwards with Thunderclap Impulse and grabbed his staff taking it away. Lucas yelled in rage as fire flared up around him burning the vines away. I wrapped myself in wind magic blocking the flames and heat as I jumped back.
Lucas slowly stood up and I got ready to attack again. As Lucas stood, two magma warriors formed beside him and pushed him down to the ground.
"AHH!!!" Lucas yelled out in pain at the force he was pushed down.
My eyebrows raised at this in surprise.
'Who?'
"Stay down, Lucas."
I heard a male voice speak to Lucas. I looked to the side and saw Elijah walking up to us with absolute confidence. He stared at Lucas with a hateful gaze.
"Let me go, you damn insect!" Lucas yelled in rage, but was still held down by the magma warriors.
"Nice trick." I said impressed.
Elijah gave a smug smile, "Thanks, I was trained by my dad."
"I'm surprised you showed up, I thought you'd be asleep." I said as we walked up to Lucas.
"I didn't go to sleep yet. I came as fast as I could when the dagger went off. Luckily the SC/DC building isn't too far." Elijah said with a shrug.
I nodded as I kneeled down to the struggling Lucas and hit him in the back of the head knocking him out. Tess walked up to us and looked at Lucas with irritation.
"Arthur, Tess!"
The three of us looked to see Claire running to us with a concerned look. She looked at Lucas and Elijah, "What happened?" Claire asked.
"Lucas attacked Arthur and I out of pure rage. Elijah showed up to help, and Arthur had to knock him out." Tess said.
Claire nodded, "What now?" I looked back at Lucas, and wrapped him in chains of ice.
"Claire, go wake up the director. This can't wait. Tell her what happened, and we will be in the disciplinary committee room." I said. Claire nodded and ran off.
Elijah, Tess, and I carried the unconscious Lucas to the disciplinary committee room where we chained him to a chair with ice chains. I placed mana suppression cuffs on him for safety. I immediately got out three pieces of paper, and we started to write down our recounts of the incident.
A short while later, Claire entered the room with Grandma. Her eyes glanced towards Lucas, and I could see anger in her eyes. She then looked at Tess and I and smiled.
"Are you all ok?" Grandma asked.
"Ya, we're ok Director." I said.
"W-where am I?! Let me out of these chains!" Lucas yelled as he woke up.
"Be silent. You attacked us outside of a sanctioned duel. There will be consequences." I said.
"More then that." Grandma said looking at him with a serious expression.
"What do you mean?" I asked, a little confused. Grandma's eyes flicked to Tess, then back to me.
"This is actually quite serious Arthur. If it was a duel, it would be nothing but a spar between students. But, Lucas not only attacked you, but Tessia as well. Both of you are members of the Elven royal family. I had to send word to the council. They are on their way." Grandma said.
"All of them?" I asked surprised.
"Yes, House Wykes works with the royal family of Sapin, and House Warend works with the royal family of Darv." Grandma said.
I raised my brows and my eyes flicked from Lucas to Elijah.
"That's right, you're no match for my brother! He's a Lance after all!" Lucas said with a smug smile.
'A lance? One of the white core's of Dicathen? How strong is he?'
"Please. My father is also a Lance. And your brother is no match for him." Elijah said glaring at Lucas who scowled back.
"I need you to quickly get these reports done. They will be here soon. Claire, you and I will take Lucas into the common meeting room while they finish their reports. Afterwards, meet us in there. Then we will wait for the council." Grandma said.
We all nodded while Grandma and Claire took Lucas into the common meeting room. Claire informed me that Curtis and Theo took over the rest of the night patrol. Tess, Elijah, and I finished our reports, and walked into the common meeting room. Tess and I sat down in our seats, while Grandma sat in Caera's, and Claire and Elijah sat in their seats. Lucas was confined to a chair at the end of the table.
We sat there anxiously waiting. I couldn't help but feel nervous. I looked to my right and saw Tess was nervous as well. I took her hand, and she looked at me with a smile.
We heard the door to the hallway open, and we all stood up as we saw multiple figures enter the room. The first two were a human male and female with crowns on their heads. The male had deep-red hair that was aged with streaks of grey. He stood straight with broad shoulders. The female had ice-cold facial features, with dark hair, and blue eyes. These must be Curtis, and Kathlyn's parents.
Behind them were two more individuals, a human male and female, who were wearing lance uniforms. The male had pale skin and platinum blonde hair, which was combed over to his left. He was very tall, and looked pretty intimidating with his piercing green eyes. The female was tall as well, with a straight face, white hair, and gray eyes.
After the two human lances walked in the dwarven royal family came soon after who also had crowns on their heads. The king was an eldery short and stocky man, with long gray hair, dark eyes, and a long braided beard. The queen was short and stocky as well, looking a little manly, with broad shoulders and black hair.
Behind them were the two Dwarven Lances, who stood out with their Lance uniforms. The male dwarf was short as well, with a heavy muscle build, and black hair. The female dwarf was as short as a human child, was thin, with pale skin, and short curly hair.
Behind them, entered Mother, Father, and Gramps, followed by Aya and Alea. They all looked at Tess and I, and smiled seeing that we were all right. As the council members entered, we all took a knee, except for Lucas since he was chained up.
"Please rise, and you may sit." The Dwarven king said. We all stood up, and I couldn't help but still feel pretty nervous.
The male human Lance walked to Lucas, and I could see them whispering. The human male Lance just shook his head and stood behind Lucas crossing his arms. The male dwarven Lance walked over to Elijah and gave him a hug. I could see Elijah smiling as they broke the hug and reassured the Lance he was fine. He must be his dad. The council members took seats around the table, and got situated. We all sat down at the table while I felt completely nervous regarding what was about to happen.
"First, allow us to introduce ourselves. I am King Dawsid Greysunder, this is my wife, Queen Glaudrea Greysunder. Behind me are my two Lances, Mica Earthborn, and Olfred Warend." King Dawsid said. Olfred and Mica smiled and nodded as they were introduced. I could see Elijah give a smug smile at his dad.
"I am King Blaine Glayder, this is my wife, Queen Priscilla Glayder. Behind me are my two Lances, Bairon Wykes, and Varay Aurae." King Glayder said, Bairon just glared at me, Varay nodded as she was introduced.
Father then introduced Mother, Gramps, Aya, and Alea. We all sat there at the table sitting anxiously as Tess, Elijah, Claire, Grandma, and I introduced ourselves. Grandma introduced Lucas since she didn't want him to speak. Lucas just glared atTess, Elijah, and I.
"So Arthur, what happened?" Mother asked.
"Um, Tess and I were out last night while I was on a night patrol. While we were on patrol, we were attacked by Lucas." I said, trying to hide my nervousness.
"YOU HUMILIATED ME!" Lucas yelled.
"You will wait your turn." King Dawsid said in a stern voice. Lucas gritted his teeth, and Bairon placed his hand on Lucas's shoulder and shook his head at him. Bairon then looked at me and glared.
As Bairon glared at me, I noticed his eyes widened, and he paled a little. His eyes flicked to his right. I followed his gaze with my eyes, and saw Aya staring at him murderously.
King Dawsid looked away from Lucas, looking back to me and smiled, "Please, continue Arthur."
I nodded, "During the attack, we tried to calm Lucas down, but he would not listen. He obviously was aiming to seriously hurt us, and he called Tess a...." My voice trailed off as I couldn't say it.
"A what?" Father asked as he narrowed his eyes.
"A whore." Tess said in a low voice.
"WHAT?!" Father, Mother and Gramps yelled as Father stood from his seat and glared at Lucas, who just scoffed. "You dare call my daughter that!" Father yelled through clenched teeth.
"We have not heard from Lucas yet." Bairon said.
"Hold your tongue!" Father yelled at Bairon.
"You will not speak to my Lance in such a manner." King Blaine said as he stood. "And he is right, we still have not heard from Lucas. we only have one side of the story." King Blaine said.
"Please sit down both of you. Allow Arthur to finish telling us what happened." King Dawsid said.
Father let out a breath, and everyone took their seats. "Please, continue Arthur." King Dawsid said.
"We were able to subdue Lucas with the help of Elijah, who showed up when Lucas would not stop his attack. Then, we sent word to the director and told her what happened." I finished.
The council members nodded. "Is that what happened Tessia?" Gramps asked.
Tess nodded, "Yes Grandpa, I stand by Arthur's statement." Tess said.
"Did you see the beginning of the attack Elijah?" King Dawsid asked.
"No, I showed up at the last minute. However, when I arrived Lucas was in an obvious state of rage, and would not listen to reason. Like Arthur stated, I assisted in subduing him." Elijah said.
"He's part of the disciplinary committee as well, how do we know he's not lying?" Bairon said.
Olfred was about to say something, but King Dawsid raised his hand to stop him. "I have known Elijah all his life. He is the son of Lance Olfred. I trust his word, which is more than I can say for your brother." King Dawsid said, narrowing his eyes at Bairon.
Bairon gritted his teeth, "Yo-"
"Enough, Bairon. Lucas, why don't you tell us what happened." King Blaine said.
"Finally. I was embarrassed during our team fighting mechanics class after this bastard made me pee myself!" Lucas yelled.
"What?!" Bairon said as he looked at me in a scowl.
"Ok? And did you attack him?" King Dawsid asked.
"HE MADE ME PEE MYSELF!" Lucas yelled.
"Watch your tone." Olfred said in a stern voice.
"Do not speak to my brother." Bairon said to Olfred.
"Or what?" Olfred said as he glared at Bairon.
"Enough Bairon." King Blaine said.
"Stand down Olfred." King Dawsid said.
Both of the Lances listened and stopped bickering.
"Did you attack my son and daughter?" Father asked Lucas in a stern tone as he glared at Lucas.
"YOU AREN'T LISTENING, HE MAD-"
"Enough! Not once, but twice you have been asked and dodged the question. Now answer. Did you attack Arthur Leywin, and Princess Tessia?" Queen Glaudrea asked with narrowed eyes.
Lucas clenched his teeth and scoffed, "And so what if I did? He humiliated me. ME! A member of House Wykes." Lucas yelled.
"How would he have even made you pee yourself? Not like he controls your bladder." Gramps said with a raised brow.
"Because he electrocuted me during class." Lucas said.
"You said it was called Team Fighting Mechanics. Was it a sanctioned duel?" King Dawsid asked.
"It was during a class training session." Tess answered.
King Dawsid nodded, "It was a sanctioned duel then."
King Dawsid then looked at Father. "Although this is an isolated incident at school, Lucas did attack the Elven royal princess, and Arthur, your future prince. What would you recommend as a punishment, Alduin?" King Dawsid said.
"I would like him expelled from this school. I also want House Wykes stripped of their noble status. He is also not to go near Tessia or Arthur again." Father said as he scowled at Lucas.
King Dawsid nodded, "Seems reasonable, right Blaine?" King Dawsid asked King Blaine with a raised brow.
King Blaines eyes darted between everyone, and he just sighed. "Very well. It will be done." King Blaine said.
Lucas shook his head angrily, "What?! This isn't fair!" Lucas said.
"Do you not understand the seriousness of this? You attacked two members of the Elven royal family! If you attacked my daughter, I would have you executed! Be happy for the mercy you've been given." King Dawsid said.
Father looked at us. "Tessia, you and Arthur were the ones attacked. What do you think about this punishment?" I looked at Tess and she nodded.
"We're ok with this Father." I said.
Lucas clenched his teeth, "Leywin is the one who started this. He em-"
"Enough Lucas!" Bairon said cutting him off obviously upset. Lucas scoffed.
"Very well, then I believe we can adjourn this meeting." King Dawsid said. We all nodded and stood up. Elijah walked over to his dad, and they walked out together with the dwarven royal family. Bairon took Lucas, and escorted him out as the human royal family also left.
I let out a sigh and looked up and saw Mother and Father walking over to Tess and I. They both pulled us into a hug and asked if we were fine. We reassured them we were ok. We greeted Gramps, Aya and Alea as we all sat down for awhile and talked.
Claire and Grandma left while we told them how school was going, besides the incident with Lucas. After a while, they all decided it was time to leave, and left the school.
Tess and I made our way to my room where we washed up and got dressed in our nightwear separately. We laid down and Sylv just groaned at all the noise we were making as we got settled.
"You ok?" I asked Tess.
Tess nodded, "You?"
I just sighed, "I was angry when he called you that, I lost it." I said.
Tess rolled on her side and placed her head on my shoulder, as she put her arm across my chest. Tess kissed my cheek and I rubbed her shoulder.
"Thank you for defending me. And don't worry, they're just words." Tess said smiling.
I smiled, "I'll always be there for you." I said as we laid there enjoying each other's embrace as we fell asleep.
