Ro's outfit
It was 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I was waiting outside at the arcade for my friends Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and Will, but they never came.
I decided to give up and go inside the arcade myself.
I was thinking about beating Dustin's high score on dig dug, but I saw someone else play the game.
I even saw her beat Dustin's high score.
Ro: Wow, you're really good.
The girl looked at me.
Max: Thanks.
Ro: I also like the nickname mad max, the name sounds pretty bad ass.
Max: You really think so?
Ro: Yeah. My name is Ro.
Max: My name is Max.
2 hours later, we sat down outside the arcade, still talking.
Ro: Wait so you moved here from California? What made your parents want to live in a small town?
Max: Oh, it's a really long story and I really don't want to get to into it.
Ro: Oh then that's fine. Are you going to Hawkins middle school?
Max: yeah I actually am.
Ro: Then you can always come to me if you ever need someone to talk to, or hang out with.
Max: Wow really? Thanks, I appreciate it.
We both smiled.
This is the first time in forever I made a female friend.
We both then see a car in front of us, with loud music playing.
Max: Oh that's my ride.
Ro: I'll see you at school?
Max: See you at school.
While Max gets inside the car, I went to go grab my bike, and go back home.

Your outfit
The next day, I was getting ready for school.
I was about to leave my room until I noticed some of the makeup my mom bought for me on top of my drawers.
My mom bought it for me, because she thought since I finally reached puberty, I should explore my femininity or whatever.
I looked at the box of makeup, and the first thing I picked out was lipgloss.
I put some on my lips, and decided to bring the lipgloss to school with me. Ya know...in case I need to reapply.

After biking all the way to school, I met up with Mike, Dustin, and Lucas, and Will near the bike rack.
Ro: Hey guys.
Will: Oh hey Ro.
Mike: Hey Ro
Lucas and Dustin: Hey Ro-
Then for some reason, Lucas and Dustin stared at me.
Ro: Why are you two looking at me like that?
Lucas: Did you change your face?
Ro: What? No, what are you talking about?
Dustin: I don't know, you look...different. Doesn't she look different?
Mike: No.
Will: Not really.
Lucas: Wait, why are your lips shiny?
Ro: Oh it's probably because of the lipgloss.
Dustin: Lipgloss?!
Lucas: Since when did you start wearing makeup?
Ro: I don't, I just thought maybe I should put some on today.
Lucas: Why?
Ro: Look, I don't know. Can we just get to class please?

Time skip to Mr. Clark's class.
Mr. Clark: Meet the human brain.
Mr. Clark says as he place a fake brain on his desk.
Mr. Clark: I know it doesn't look like much. Little gross too, right? But consider this. There are a hundred billion cells inside of this miracle of evolution. All working as one. A hundred billion.
The door then opens to show the principal and a girl.
But I knew right away the girl was Max.
Mr. Clark: Ah, this must be our new student.
Principal: Indeed it is. All yours
With that, the principal left.
Max then tries to rush to her seat, but Mr. Clark stopped her.
Mr. Clark: All right hold up. You don't get away with that easy. Come on up. Don't be shy.
She then stands in front of everyone.
She saw me so I waved hi.
She slightly smiles and waves back, but not let anyone notice.
Mr. Clark: Dustin, drumroll.
Dustin grabs his textbook and hits it to make a drum sound.
Mr. Clark: Class, please welcome, all the way from sunny California, the latest passenger to join us on our curiosity voyage, Maxine.
Max: It's Max.
Mr. Clark: Sorry?
Max: Nobody calls me Maxine. It's Max.
Dustin: Mad Max?
Dustin whispers to Lucas.
Wait, how do they know that name?
Mr. Clark: Well, all aboard Max.
Max then goes to her seat, which is all the way in back.
The 4 of the boys then turned around and looked at her.
Did I miss something?

Nobody's POV
Time-skip to recess.
Max was skating on her skateboard, while the boys were stalking.
Mike: There's no way that's mad max.
Will: Yeah, girls don't play video games. Well... besides Ro.
Mike: And even if other girls did, you can't get 750, million points on Dig Dug. It's Impossible.
Lucas: But her name is Max.
Mike: So?
Lucas: So? How many Maxes do you know?
Mike: I don't know.
Lucas: Zero. That's how many.
Dustin: Yeah, she shows up at school, the day after someone with her same name breaks our top score. I mean are you kidding me?
Lucas: Yeah, she's gotta be mad max.
Ro: Are you guys stalking the new girl?
Ro pops out behind them.
Mike: No.
Will: No.
Lucas: No.
Dustin: No.
Ro: Yeah, nice try. Speaking of mad max, how do you guys even know that name?
Dustin: Yesterday we were at the arcade and we checked the dig dug game-
Ro: Wait a minute! Hold up! You guys were at the arcade yesterday?
Mike: Yeah like around 7pm.
Ro: I thought we agreed to meet to at 3pm?
Lucas: Well we did, but we decided to reschedule.
Ro: And you guys didn't tell me?
Mike: Dustin, I thought you said you were gonna tell her.
Dustin: No I didn't, I thought Lucas was gonna tell her.
Lucas: No, I thought it was Will.
Will: Guys...I don't think any of us agreed to tell Ro.
Ro: Oh my God. Are you guys serious right now.
Mike: Look Ro, we're sorry.
Dustin: Really sorry.
Lucas: We promise to make it up to you.
Ro: Yeah, you better.
Lucas: By the way, how do you know about mad max.
Ro: I actually met her yesterday at the arcade. The same time you guys canceled. But anyway I saw her beat Dustin's high score, and we decided to hang out and talk. She was cool to talk to, and we played a lot of games together. I'm gonna see her at the arcade again after school.
Dustin: Really, well she seems pretty awesome.
Mike: Awesome? You haven't even spoken to her once.
Dustin: I don't have to. I mean, look at her.
But when they looked back, she was not there.
Dustin: Shit, I've lost the target.
Ro: Guys, she's right there
The boys then found her going up the small staircase.
She then throws something in the trash and leaves.
Ro: I know you guys are not gonna-
They rand towards the trash can.
Ro: Nevermind.
Ro then leaves them.

Time skip to the end of school.
I opened my locker to put some of my books away, when all of a sudden I see Max next to me.
Max: Hey.
Ro: Oh hey Max. What's up?
Max: I was just wanna...know if we're still cool for 3:30 at the arcade.
Ro: Oh yeah totally!
Max: By the way, who were those stalkers back at recess?
Ro: Stalkers? Oh my friends. Sorry about them, they just have never seen another girl like video games before. I know they come off as weird but trust me, they are really fun to hang out with.
Max: I don't know...
Ro: Well you know Halloween is tomorrow, how about we can go trick or treating together and maybe meet with my friends.
Max: Maybe, but let me just stick with you first.
Ro: Sure, that's fine.
