Ro's POV
It was dark outside. I was at my friend Mike's house in his basement playing D&D with him, Will, Lucas, and Dustin.
We were all searching for the dice to see if Will made a 13 or higher.
Mike's mom then opens the door calling for Mike.
Karen: Mike!
Mike: Mom we're in the middle of a campaign.
Karen: You mean the end? 15 after.
Mike then heads upstairs while the rest of us search for the dice.
I realized that it was getting late so I decided to put my jacket on to get ready.
Will: Oh I found it!
Ro: Really what is it!
Will: Does a 7 count?
Lucas: It was a 7? Did Mike see it?
Will: No.
Lucas then it doesn't count.
Ro: It counts as cheating.
Lucas: No it doesn't.
Ro: Yes it does.
Lucas: Well now it doesn't.
The 4 of us finished putting on our jackets and head upstairs.
Dustin then grabs a pizza box with only one slice.
Dustin: Hey guys, does anyone want this?
Ro: No.
Will: No.
Lucas: No.
We then rushed to go outside.
Ro: Bye Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler.
Karen: Bye Sweetie, tell your mom I said hi!
We went outside along with Mike and everyone got their bikes.
I have a bike too but I didn't bring since my house is across the street.
Dustin: There's something wrong with your sister.
Mike: What are you talking about?
Dustin: She got a stick up her butt.
Lucas: Yeah, it's because she's been dating that douchebag, Steve Harrington.
Ro: I mean my older brothers use to invite him to our house back then, he's is really cute.
Mike: Ew gross.
Dustin: Yeah who would want to hang out with him?
I rolled my eyes.
Ro: I'll see you later guys.
Mike: Bye Ro.
Lucas: Later Ro
Dustin: Cya.
Will: See you tomorrow.
I checked the street and ran to my house.
I open my door and see my younger brothers in their pjs playing with their toy swords.
Ro: Mom Dad, I'm home.
My mom then pops out of the kitchen and sees me in the living room.
Diana: There you are baby, what took you so long? I was about to get your father to come and get you!
Ro: Yeah sorry mom, today was just an important game.
I said as I took off my jacket.
Diana: By the way, I got a call from your older brothers, it looks like there coming home for Christmas.
Ro: Really? I can't wait to see them!
I love spending time with my brothers, whatever they do, I always try to join them
Ro: Where's dad?
Mom: He's in the shower right now, and as for you, you need to brush your teeth and get ready for bed.
Ro: Alright, I'll get ready.
I hugged and kissed my mom Goodnight.
Ro: Night mom.
Diane: Night baby.
I went upstairs to see.

The next morning, I road my bike to school along with Mike, Dustin, and Lucas. For some reason Will wasn't with us.
We put our bikes in the bike rack and the first bell rang.
Mike: That's weird, I don't see him.
Mike says as we're walking towards our school.
Lucas: I'm telling you, his mom is right. He probably went to class early again.
Dustin: Yeah he's always paranoid Gursky's gonna give him a pop quiz.
Troy: Step right up ladies and gentlemen!
Ro: Ah shit, not again.
I whispered as we saw Troy and James.
Troy: Step right up and get your tickets for the freak show. Who do you think we'd get more money for the freak show?
Troy then walked closer to us.
Troy: Midnight one and two, Frogface, or toothless?
He says as he hits our shoulders.
James first looked at me.
Ro: Don't even try me.
Last time he picked me, he had two black eyes.
He quickly looks away from me and look at Dustin.
James: I'd go for toothless.
Dustin: I've already told you my teeth are coming in! It's called cleidocranial dysphasia!
James: I told you a million times.
They laughed after mimicking Dustin's voice.

Troy: Do the arm thing.
James: Do it freak!
Dustin then took off his coat and jacket and did the arm thing.
James: Ew
Troy: Gross, it gets me every time.
They then pushed us out of the way and left.
Lucas: Assholes.
Ro: Don't worry about them, I think it's pretty cool.
Mike: Yeah like a super power, like Mr. Fantastic.
Dustin: Yeah but sadly I can't fight evil with it.
He says as we walked up to the school doors.

Everyone packed up their books head out of the classroom.
Mr. Clark: Remember, finish chapter 12 and answer 12.3 on the difference between an experiment and other forms of science investigation...
The the class ignored him and left, while
Mike, Lucas, Dustin, and I were in front of him.
Mike: So did it come!
Mr. Clark: Sorry guys, I hate to be the barrier of bad news, but it came!
We went into the AV room and saw it.
Mike: Yes!
Ro: The heathkit ham shack!
Mr. Clark: That's right, ain't she a beaut?
Mike: I bet you can talk to New York with this thing.
Mr. Clark: Think bigger.
Lucas: California?
Mr. Clark: Bigger.
Mike: Australia?
Mr. Clarke nodded.
Ro: Woah Cool!
Lucas: Yeah when Will sees this, he's gonna blow his shit!
Mr. Clark: Lucas!
Lucas: Sorry.
We started to mess around with it until the principal and the chief of police came.
Principal: Sorry to interrupt, but may I borrow Micheal, Lucas, Dustin, and Roseline please.

In the principal's office, we were just rambling all at once.
Hopper: Okay, Okay, Okay. One at a time, let's start with you.
The cop pointed to Mike.
Hopper: You said he takes what?
Mike: Mirkwood.
Hopper: Mirkwood?
Mike: Yeah.
Hopper: Have you heard of Mirkwood?
He looks at his partner.
Callahan: No I have not. It sounds made up.
Lucas: No, it's from Lord of the Rings.
Dustin: The Hobbit.
Lucas: It doesn't matter.
Dustin: He asked!
Ro: Does he even know the Hobbit?
Dustin: Everyone knows the Hobbit Ro.
Ro: Not everyone.
Hopper: Hey, hey, hey! What did I just say? One at a damn time! You.
He looked at Mike.
Mike: Mirkwood, it's a real road. It's just the name that's made up. It's where Cornwallis and Kerley meet.
Hopper: Alright, I think I know where that is-
Mike: We can show you-
Hopper: I said that I know it!
Mike: But we can help look!
Lucas, Dustin, and I agreed.
Hopper: No. After school, you are all going home, immediately. That means no biking around looking for your friend, no investigating, no nonsense. Do I make myself clear?
The 4 of us looked at him.
He then stood up in front of us.
Hopper: Do I make myself clear?
Lucas: Yes sir.
Mike: Yes sir.
Ro: Yes sir.
Dustin: Yeah.

Mike's POV
Time skip to after dinner.
I was in my basement and grabbed my supercom.
Mike: Ro do you copy? It's Mike. Ro?
Ro: Hey, it's Ro.
Mike: I know It's you. And say "over" when you're done talking, so I know when you're done. Over.
Ro: ...I'm done. Over.
Mike: I'm worried about Will. Over.
Ro: Yeah, me too. Over.
Mike: I was thinking, Will could of cast protection last night, but he didn't. He cast fireball. Over.
Ro: Your point is? Over.
Mike: My point is... he could of cast played it safe, but he didn't. He put himself in danger to help the party. Over.
I waited for her to answer back.
Ro: Meet me outside in a few, and contact the rest. Over and out.
I closed my TRC, packed my bag along with it, and put on my jacket.
I then left my house along with my bike to see Steve near Nancy's window.
Ro: Mike!
I turned my head to see Ro on her bike coming near me.
Ro: Is that Steve?
Mike: Yeah but let's not worry about him right now.
Ro: Right.

Ro's POV
After minutes of riding we made it.
Lucas: This is it.
I looked up and see that it's about to storm.
Dustin: Hey, you guys feel that?
I immediately put my hood on. There is no way I'm getting my hair wet.
Ro: Should we go home?
Mike: No, we're not going back just stay close. Come on.
We got off our bikes and followed Mike to the woods.
Mike: Just stay on channel 6 and don't do anything stupid.

After searching and searching, the rain got heavier.
Dustin: Guys, I think we should really turn back.
Lucas: Seriously Dustin? You wanna be a baby then go home already!
Dustin: I'm just being realistic Lucas!
Lucas: No you're just being a sissy!
Ro: Can you two shut up! Mike, do you ever think Will went missing because he ran into something bad?
Dustin: And we're going to the exact spot where he was last seen? And we have no weapons or anything? And-
Mike: Dustin shut up.
Dustin: I'm just saying does that seem smart to you?
Mike: No shut up, shut up! Do you guys hear that?
We stopped and then heard some branch noises. We turned around and flashed our flashlights but saw nothing.
We heard the noise again, flashed our flashlights to see... a girl?
