Arthur Leywin POV
Tess and I entered the field for our team fighting mechanics class. When we entered, we noticed there were several other students there already. I looked to my right and saw Claire and Curtis talking under a tree.
"Hey look, it's Claire and Curtis, let's go say hi." I said as I pointed in their direction.
"Ok, I'm sure Claire will be happy to be in this class with us." Tess said happily.
We walked over to Claire and Curtis, and Claire was the first to notice us. "Captain, President, I didn't know you were in this class!" Claire said with a smile.
"Ya, with three of the disciplinary committee members here, it should be a fun class. We can really show everyone what we can do." Curtis said.
As we were talking, I noticed Claire's face turned from happy to irritated. I looked at her confused, until she gestured behind me with a nod. I turned to see what she was looking at, and saw Clive walking up to us.
'Ugh, can he not come up to us.' I said mentally.
'Do you want me to hit him with a mana beam papa?' Sylvie asked mentally.
I mentally smirked. 'Nah. Not yet at least.' I said mentally.
I turned around and let out a sigh. "You ok?" Tess asked, noticing my change in demeanor.
"Clive is walking up to us." I said. Tess let out a sigh as well and did a slight eye roll. Clive arrived walking up to our group and stood next to Tess, not saying anything.
"Hello Clive, how are you?" Curtis asked in a monotone voice.
"I'm doing well Prince Curtis, thank you for asking. I'm glad to see there is someone of worth in this class." Clive said gesturing to him.
Curtis' eyes narrowed and he gave a smile that didn't reach his eyes. "Glad to see you haven't changed." Curtis said, which got a raised brow from Clive.
Before anyone could say anything else, we heard a giant screech and looked up. We watched as a flare hawk flew down to the field, and landed in the middle of the group of students. I watched as a younger woman with brunette colored hair, which was tied to the back of her head, and tanned colored skin dismounted the hawk. I noticed the woman seemed to be pretty fit, and had a well toned body.
"Good afternoon! My name is professor Glory, and I will be the one teaching all of you! This one here next to me is my bond Torch." Professor Glory said as she pointed to the hawk next to her, with a sense of confidence and playfulness.
Curiosity got the best of me and I wondered what her core level was. I looked at her core and saw she was a solid silver mage. She must have felt that I looked at her core, because she turned towards me. I could feel her scan my core and she gave a look of surprise. I mean, who else knew of a twelve year old who just reached solid silver core. Tess on the other hand is close to breaking into the dark silver stage, since I've been helping her meditate a lot in the training room.
Professor Glory smirked at this and nodded in approval. "So, the captain of the disciplinary committee is in my class huh? Well I must say that I am intrigued by your abilities, and would love to see you in action. What about you class? Do you want to see what the captain is capable of?" Professor Glory yelled at the class as she looked around.
Multiple students responded saying "ya!".
Professor Glory then smiled, "Seeing how I am not allowed to spar with you myself, how about we have a game amongst the students. Oh I know, how about war!" Professor Glory said with enthusiasm. The crowd of students yelled in approval.
"Professor Glory if I may." Curtis said.
"What is it Prince Curtis?" Professor Glory asked curiously.
"How about we have the three disciplinary committee officers on one team, this way it could help our teamwork." Curtis said.
I thought about what Curtis said, and it wasn't a bad idea. Nice job Curtis!
"I agree with Curtis, it could benefit us to fight together." I said.
Professor Glory smiled and nodded, "Very good, now who will their opponents be?" Professor Glory asked as she looked around.
"How about the student council." Clive said.
"What?!" Tess yelled.
"Oh now that is interesting, disciplinary committee vs student council. However, there are only two of you, and three of them. Who will join the student council's team?" Professor Glory asked as she looked around.
"I can join them for this battle."
I looked to the sound of the voice, and saw a scrawny little spit fu- *cough*.
I mean, I saw a young elvish boy with slightly pointed ears, pale skin, platinum blonde shoulder length hair, and piercing yellow eyes with his hand raised.
"Lucas Wykes, very well you may join the student council's team. But just know, I am aware of what happened in the Beast Glades, and will tolerate no such behavior. I will be watching you." Professor Glory said in a serious tone.
*Tch*, Lucas just made a click of his tounge, "Yes professor".
'So this is the Lucas Elijah talked about.' I said mentally.
'Doesn't look like much. I bet his legs would break by just stepping on them.' Sylvie said mentally.
Professor Glory then activated her dimensional ring and a pile of training gear dropped out. "Alright everyone, get dressed in this training gear. It will protect you to a certain degree, and will let you know when you are out of the fight." Professor Glory said.
We all nodded and went to get changed. As I was getting changed, Sylvie jumped off my head, and went to go sit on a boulder. I looked over to Tess and saw she was having trouble with some of her padding. I noticed Clive was walking over to help her out. I quickly made my way to her before Clive got there.
"Need some assistance, President?" I asked.
Tess turned and saw me, and gave a little smirk. I would appreciate it, Captain." Tess said.
I started to help Tess with her safety gear, as Clive walked up to us.
"Commo-Captain, I can take it from here." Clive said as he glared daggers at me.
*Grrr* I could feel Sylvie glaring at Clive through our bond.
"It's fine, I got it." I said in a monotone voice as Tess and I ignored Clive. I could hear him let out a huff in anger.
"As the vice president and her teammate, I should be the one helping so-"
"Clive, go away. He's helping me." Tess said in an irritated voice. Clive's face contorted in anger.
"I'll see you on the battlefield, Captain Leywin." Clive said as he stormed off.
"He is really testing my patience." I said.
"Same with me, he's already asked me to the dance twice now. I've rejected him both times, but he won't take no for an answer. I just don't know how to get it through his thick skull." Tess said with a sigh.
I looked over to him, and saw glaring at us. I then looked down in thought. "I could just make a public announcement saying we're together." I said jokingly with a smirk.
Tess blushed a little with a smile. I knew she wanted to keep her image as the strict student council president. I was ok with this, since I also had to keep my image as the strict disciplinary committee captain.
"I hate acting like we aren't together." Tess said. She then looked at me like she was waiting for an answer.
"Ya, same here." I said with a sigh.
Tess then gave off a slight smile and I saw her blush intensify.
"Good, then you won't mind this." Tess said as she grabbed the back of my head and pulled me in for a deep kiss. When she pressed her lips to mine, I was a little shocked, but I immediately returned the kiss. My hands fell to her waist as she wrapped her arms around my neck. I heard gasps and whistles from the crowd.
I could hear Claire's voice as she said, "Well that didn't last long," in a teasing tone.
Tess and I broke the kiss, as I looked into her eyes and could practically see hearts in them. We smiled at each other, forgetting about the crowd.
"Ah-em, hurry it up love birds!" I heard Professor Glory yell.
We looked at her direction and could see she was smiling a bit, before she looked away directing the others to the field. Tess and I stepped back from each other with huge blushes on our faces. We finished helping each other out with our gear, and started to make our way to the field.
I saw Clive glaring at me with a face of pure rage and anger, but I just ignored him. I pulled Tess into a side hug and whispered in her ear, "Good luck, be safe."
Tess giggled and gave me quick kiss on the lips, "You too." Tess said as we separated and took out respective positions on the battlefield.
I stood in the middle with Claire to my right, and Curtis to my left, with Grawder beside him. Tess was standing a few feet away from Curtis as she would be his opponent. Lucas was standing a few feet away from Claire, as he would be her opponent. Clive was standing away from me, staring me down with rage, as he would be my opponent.
Sylvie was just sitting on the sidelines watching the whole thing.
'So are you going to toy with him, or end this quickly?' Sylvie asked mentally.
'I'm going to make an example out of him' I replied. I could hear Sylvie snicker mentally.
Professor Glory was flying high over head. "Alright everyone, begin!" she yelled.
I saw Curtis charge towards Tess, and Claire charge toward Lucas. Our opponents had the advantage since they were all long range mages.
Clive went down on one knee, and took out an arrow from his quiver and knocked it on his bow. Wind wrapped itself around the arrow as he shot it at me. I swatted the arrow out of the air with Regret and smirked at Clive, which seemed to anger him more. I stomped on the ground with my back foot, launching a boulder in the air in front of me. I used my other foot wrapped in fire mana and kicked the boulder towards Clive. Clive went wide eyed seeing the flaming boulder flying at him, as he probably didn't expect a long range attack.
I dashed forwards with Thunderclap Impulse landing to the side of Clive as he dodged out of the way of the flaming rock. Clive looked around spotting me, and immediately stood up. I placed my hands on the ground and watched as his legs spit apart with earth magic, and a pillar rose from the center hitting him between the legs.
"Whhhhhhhaaaaaa!!!!!" Clive squealed, sounding like a little girl.
"OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I heard from the crowd of students.
I dashed forward with Thunderclap Impulse again, and created a ball of rotating wind in my non-sword hand. I slammed the wind ball into Clive's chest, and watched as he went flying across the battlefield, and skidded to a halt. The mana shield around Clive broke signaling he was out of the battle.
"Well that was easy." I said with a shrug.
I could hear Sylvie dying of laughter through our bond.
I looked to my left and saw Claire was surrounded in a fire type cage Lucas had conjured. Claire just wrapped herself in fire mana and dashed through the cage. She waved her rapier in the air forming five wind bullets that shot forward towards Lucas. Lucas was about to dodge, when I stomped on the ground and watched as earth covered his feet, locking him in place. Lucas went wide eyed and glared at me, I shot him a wink and smiled as the wind bullets hit him. Lucas was knocked to the ground, and his mana barrier broke, signalling he was out of the fight.
I looked to my right and barely dodged a wind blade as it flew past me. I followed the blade with wide eyes, as it landed on the ground. I looked back at my attacker, and saw Tess giving me a smirk. I looked towards Curtis and saw Grawder, was entangled in vines, and unable to move, while Curtis was out cold.
I smirked at this and gave Tess a proud nod.
'That's my girl.' I said mentally.
'Ya! Let's go mama!' Sylvie said mentally.
'Hey! What about me?' I said mentally.
Sylvie paused for a minute. 'Let's go mama!!' Sylvie said mentally, louder than before. I just smirked and shook my head.
"Need help with your girlfriend?" Claire asked walking up to me.
I smiled, "Nah I got it." I said with a shrug.
In truth, I just wanted to fight Tess by myself. I knew it would be faster with Claire's help, but I wanted to be a little selfish and cherish this moment.
I gave Tess a smile and a wink and dashed forward with wind magic. Tess gave a smirk and blushed while swinging her staff. A wall of vines appeared in front of me, I wrapped my sword in wind and fire magic. I slashed at the vines burning and pushing them away. I looked back to Tess as I made my way through the vines, and saw she wasn't in the same position. I immediately scanned the battlefield, and saw she moved to the left, getting distance between us.
I felt power surge from her as she activated the first phase of her beast will. She raised her staff and twirled it in the air as six cyclones of wind appeared beside her, three on each side. She then swung her staff down and one by one the cyclones dashed towards me. I smirked at this and lifted my blade, and slammed it to the ground. A wall of earth appeared in front of me, and I had an idea come to mind.

Tessia Eralith POV
I defeated Curtis pretty easily thanks to my wind barrier and wind blades. Grawder couldn't help him much since I took him out first with entangling vines. Now I'm fighting Art, and I couldn't help but feel excited about it. I was smiling brightly with butterflies in my stomach. Sure, we have sparred before, but now it's a competition, and I plan to give it my all.
I launched six cyclones towards Art, but he raised a wall of earth. My jaw clenched at this and I slammed my staff to the ground. I conjured vines that shot up from the ground and wrapped around the earth wall. With the vines surrounding the earth wall, they pulled and squeezed on the wall tearing it down.
The cyclones converged on the area Art was last seen, and collided with each other. My eyes widened as my heart sunk.
'Oh no, did Art not get out of the way? Is he ok?'
I was about to dash forward when I felt a kiss on my right cheek and something sharp and cold against my neck.
I froze and looked to my left, and saw an ice dagger pressed to my neck. I couldn't help but smirk at this development.
"Do you surrender?" I heard Art say in a deep whisper in my ear.
I felt his warm breath against my neck which sent a shiver down my spine. I bit my bottom lip trying to contain a smile.
I raised my hands and dropped my staff, "I yield, Captain." I said in a playful tone. I felt the ice dagger leave my neck, and felt as Art placed his hands on my waist.
"You did good Tess." Art whispered in my ear again and kissed my cheek. I felt my face grow warm, and I turned around to see Art smiling. I smiled back and gave him a deep kiss.
"How did you get behind me?" I asked with a head tilt.
"I made a tunnel through the earth, and appeared behind you." He said with a shrug.
I looked behind him and saw a hole and smiled. "My little tunnel bear." I said getting a laugh out of both of us. Art leaned in pressing his lips to mine again as we shared another kiss.
"Do you two need a room?" Art and I broke our kiss and saw Claire looking at us with a smile.
Professor Glory was also walking up to us with a smirk. "Well done everyone, I was very impressed. We will have emitters check everyone out before you leave." Professor Glory said.
I looked around the battlefield and saw that Clive and Lucas were already being seen by emitters. Clive was already awake, and was holding his nether regions and crying. I looked at Art with a raised brow, who gave me a smirk and shrugged his shoulders. I couldn't help but laugh at this, and leaned my head on his shoulder.
"Ugh, can you two go back to pretending to not know each other. You're being way to lovey dovey." Claire said.
"Nope." Art and I said simultaneously, which made me smile. Art kissed my the top of my head which made me happy.
After the mock battle, we took off our training gear, and Sylvie jumped into my arms happily. Art and I just watched as two more groups went until class was over. Clive and Lucas both glared at Art the entire time. Art and I walked together while holding hands to our next class, spell formations. I could hear a couple of students gossiping about Art and I, but I didn't care. I'll be the strict student council president when I have to be, but with Art, I'll just be a girl spending time with the boy she loves. We made it to our next class, and sat down next to each other in the back of the classroom.
Art and I were just making small talk about the mock battle, when I heard an unfamiliar voice.
"Mind if I sit here?" I looked towards the voice, and saw the girl with the navy blue hair and red eyes standing next to Art, pointing to the seat next to him.
"Hello Caera, and sure go ahead." Art said in a monotone voice.
'So, her name is Caera is it?'
Caera sat down next to Art, and looked at him with a look I didn't like, a look of wanting.
"So Captain, how is everything going so far?" Caera asked.
"Good." Art responded shrugging his shoulders, with a monotone voice.
"That's good, anything exciting happen?" Caera asked.
"Had a mock battle in team fighting mechanics, nothing major." Art responded matter of factly.
Caera scooted closer to Art, placing her elbow on the table, and rested her head in her hand. Caera gave Art a smile. "Oh really? How did that go, I bet you won." Caera said with a smirk.
"Hi Caera, I'm Tessia Eralith the student council president." I said interjecting myself, seeing how she was completely ignoring my existence.
Her eyes flicked to me, and I could see some annoyance in them. She then gave a smile, which I could tell was fake.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, President." Caera said, turning her attention back to Art.
I raised a brow at this. 'The audacity of this bitch.'
Caera was about to say something to Art, when the teacher came onto stage.
*GRRR* I looked down and saw Sylvie giving Caera the stink eye, while I was holding her in my arms. I smirked at this, and patted her head. I looked at the teacher, noticing her appearance.
The teacher was a young blonde with short hair, thin build, and big.... assets. I heard a couple of the guys gawking over her, and some were staring at her.
I looked at Art and noticed he was just playing with a marble sized ball of wind he created. I smiled at this because one, he wasn't acting like the other guys here. Two, it was cute.
I created my own ball of wind, and flick it at Art's knocking it away. Art watched with a surprise look, as the two balls of wind dissipated. He then looked at me, and gave me a playful look. For most of the class we would just make little balls of wind and flick them at each other. It was so hard not to laugh.
I noticed Caera would glance at us once in a while, and she would look at me with annoyance. Once class was done we started to get up, and walked outside the classroom.
"Did you want to head back to the SC/DC building, and see if there is any paperwork to do?" Caera asked Art with a smile.
Art let out a sigh, "Ya, I guess we should." Art then looked at me.
"You heading that way as well?" He asked with a smile.
I nodded, "Yep."
Caera smiled at this as well, but it didn't reach her eyes. "Great, we can all walk together." Caera said.
"Yes. Lets." I said flatly.
Art raised a brow as he must've heard the annoyance in my tone. His eyes flicked between me and Caera, before I saw him give a slight smirk. Before I could say anything Art grabbed my chin and lifted my head. He pressed his lips to mine, giving me a deep kiss. I couldn't help but smile as I returned the kiss.
We broke the kiss, and I swore I thought I saw anger on Caera's face for a second, before she gave a smile.
"Aww, are you two dating?" Caera asked.
'No we just shared a kiss for no reason you dense navy hair-'
"Yes, we are," Art said cutting off my thoughts.
Art then took my hand and I leaned my head on his shoulder as we walked to the SC/DC building. I looked over and saw Caera was deep in thought about something. Well at least she now knows that Art is off limits.

Arthur Leywin POV
We made it to the SC/DC building, and Tess and I separated way's. Caera, Sylvie and I went to the disciplinary committee room to go over the paperwork for the day.
Luckily there wasn't much to do, the biggest thing I had to deal with was the incident with this Professor Geist.
As we looked over the paperwork, Caera and I talked a bit, as we got to know each other. Apparently the Crestless family was incredibly wealthy. Caera told me about how her family believes social status is important. They think that the nobles should always be placed above everyone else. However, her mindset was different. She believed in equality among the masses, that no one should be discriminated against. I couldn't help but admire her for this.
She asked me about my abilities, and I just told her the bare minimum. I told her how I was a quadra-elemental by chance. I didn't tell her about my beast will, or dragon body.
I asked Caera about her abilities, and she told me she was an augmenter. However, she was yet to gain any elemental affinities.
I could tell Caera was intelligent, and looked forward to working with her.
As we talked and finished reading the reports from Elijah and Kathlyn, I read over the witness reports that Feyrith gathered about the Geist incident, since he was in the class as well. After I was done going over them all, I thought about how I was just glad I wasn't in the class, who knows what I would've done to him.
Caera recommended that we have Geist removed from the academy. She said that a teacher with his type of behavior shouldn't be allowed to teach. I agreed with her recommendation, and met with Grandma. I told her about the incident, and about Caera's recommendation to replace Geist. Grandma agreed with the recommendation, and said she would have a temporary professor teach them until she finds a permanent replacement.
Once that was done I went to my room with Sylvie and got washed up. Tess wasn't back from her student council duties so I laid down and waited for her. After awhile she came back to the room and looked exhausted.
"A lot of paperwork?" I asked sitting up with a warm smile.
Tess immediately smiled at me, "You stayed up!" she said as she walked over to the bed, and plopped down face first.
I just gave a small laugh at this, and laid down next to her. I wrapped my arm around her and pulled her in tight, giving her a cuddle.
I heard Tess giggle and let out a happy hum. I kissed her on the cheek and brushed a strand of her hair behind her ear.
"Why don't you get washed up, and get dressed in your nightwear?" I said whispering in her room ear.
"But I'm so comfy." She said, pouting a little.
"Tell you what, I will cuddle you all night after you're done," I said with a warm smile kissing her cheek again.
"Promise?" She asked playfully.
"I promise." I said.
Tess turned around to face me and brought her lips to mine giving me a deep kiss which I happily returned.
"I'll be here when you get back," I said with a smile.
Tess nodded happily, got up from the bed and stretched.
"See you in a few," Tess said in excitement as she got her nightwear from the dresser, and walked into the bathroom.
I looked at the door for a few seconds, and felt my face grow warm. I suddenly felt my bond staring at me. I looked to Sylvie who was staring at me with a smirk.
"What?" I asked.
'Don't forget, I can read your thoughts Papa.' Sylvie said wagging her brows.
My face grew warmer and my eyes flicked to the bathroom door where I heard the shower running.
"S-shouldn't you be sleeping?" I said stuttering a little, and I plopped onto the bed face down.
I heard Sylvie snicker at my antics. After a few minutes, I heard the bathroom door open and saw Tess walk out in a white T shirt and gray short shorts. I smiled with my face feeling warm as she walked over to the bed and laid down next to me. I laid there for a second looking at her for a second before I wrapped my arm around her pulled her into a warm embrace. I could hear Tess give off a warm happy hum.
As we laid there I noticed the scent of flowers coming from Tess. I felt my face grow warm as I laid there holding her.
"You ok Art?" I heard Tess ask.
"Y-ya, why?" I asked.
"Nothing, I just felt you shift back a little." She said.
"Ya everthing is f-fine. Just got a little warm." I said trying to hide my embarrassment that was rising below.
"Ok, well goodnight Art. I love you." Tess said warmly.
"Love you too." I said as I closed my eyes.

Unknown POV
"A quadra elemental?" I asked with curiosity.
"Y-yes." They answered reluctantly.
I smirked seeing their obedience.
"How interesting. He could pose a problem to our plans. Stay close, and keep an eye on him. Don't fail me." I said sternly.
They nodded as they put their hood up, and walked away.
I grabbed my chin as I looked down in thought, thinking about what they told me.
"You've piqued my interest, Arthur Leywin."
