"Well I know one thing now" Izuku said
"And what might that be, young Midoriya?" All Might questioned
"We will put an end to this together, not just me and you, but everyone" Izuku said
"Then let's get to training brat"
A week had now passed since the USJ incident and class 1A were All gathered, more specifically most of them were surrounding Izuku pressuring him to tell them about that power he showed at the USJ.
"Well, uhm it's and extension of my quirk" Izuku explained, he wasn't really lying since it was an extension of One For All
Everyone that was around him had a look of confusion and he decided to elaborate.
"Well from what I've found out there is a secondary part of my quirk that stores kinetic which can be released and forms that power I used, as for my hair, eyes, lightning turn red I don't know"
"But how much stronger does it make you though, didn't that guy covered in hands say that thing which you were keeping up was on the level of All Might?" Mina questioned
'Man how do I answer that?' Izuku pondered in his head
"Well you see, I think that guy was bluffing when he said that thing was on the level of All Might, you saw how easily All Might beat it
"And as for how much stronger it makes m-" Izuku didn't get to finish when a heavily bandaged Aizawa walked in.
"Why aren't you all at your seats" he questioned surprising the whole class that he was already discharged out of hospital.
Everyone then dispersed to their seats after that and waited for Aizawa to speak
"Your fight isn't over yet class" Aizawa said making everyone tense thinking that they'd be attacked by villains again
"The UA Sports Festival is coming up" Aizawa said easing everyone and confusing some
"But is it wise to have a Sports Festival after a villain attack?" Iida questioned
"It's UA's way of saying that we are not scared by a villain attack and besides the UA Sports Festival has long been the best known athletics competition since the era of quirks began competing with the likes of the Olympics" Aizawa explained
"So you'll all be granted 2 weeks to train for it properly" Aizawa said walking out of the class
Izuku then felt someone grab his shoulder rather roughly and turned around to see it was Bakugo.
"Me and You need to have a little talk after school" He said before letting go of him
The class then proceeded with having normal classes .When they were about to leave for the end of the day their class door was surrounded by students from different classes and courses.
"So this is class 1A?"
"They don't look that strong"
"I could probably take them all"
Was all that was heard.
"What are these guys doing here" Jirou asked turning to face the rest of her class
"They're obviously here to scout out the competition." Bakugo said moving to the door to face all of them
"I'll summarise it for all of you" Bakugo started
"If you don't move out off my way I'm gonna FUCK UP EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU EXTRAS" He continued
"You're pretty arrogant ain't you?"A tall indigo-haired boy with dark bags under his eyes similar to Aizawa commented though the crowd of UA students let him through mostly because they were frightened of him.
Iida then asked the other students to let them pass as they all had to be somewhere to which they all eventually dispersed after a while
"So what are you guys gonna train on?" Izuku answered
"My older brother Tensei has some training arranged for me regarding my engines" Iida said
Then it dawned on Izuku what he had been meaning to ask Iida. "You're the pro hero Ingenium's younger brother aren't you?" Izuku questioned
"Yes I thought you already knew" Iida replied
"I've been meaning to ask you since I heard that your last name was Iida" Izuku said
"So watchya planning on training on Uraraka?" Izuku asked turning to her
"I think I'll just work on how well I can use my quirk" She replied
"And you" she questioned
"I think I'll work on how much of my quirk I can use without breaking my body" Izuku replied
"Guess I'll see you guys in two weeks" Izuku said as they had reached the train station.
2 week timeskip
Two weeks had passed since the sports festival was announced and every class in UA was standing Infront of the UA shorts festival arena. From t the general studies department to the support course and from the support course to the hero course. Every one of these students were ready to show off the fruits of their training.
*1A Prep room*
Todoroki walked up to Izuku and said "In terms of practicality and strength you beat me but the fact remains I will defeat in this competition" Todoroki declared
"Is this some kind of declaration of war" The class mumbled amongst themselves
"I wish you good luck too Todoroki" Izuku said smiling at him
Todoroki grunted and walked away. The class was then called onto the stage by Present Mic.
"And now introducing the number 1 hero course students, class 1A" Present Mike yelled over the loud speaker
"And the equally good class 1B" He announced much to the annoyance of a majority class 1B students.
The rest of the other course students then got the centre of the stadium and were waiting.
The r-rated hero Midnight then walked onto the stage and some of the people in the crowd wondered if it was wise to have such a hero be entrusted of children.
"Hello UA high, today I will be your instructor for the UA Sports Festival. But before we start we will have a speech from our hero course representative Izuku Midoriya"
Izuku paled as he had not been told about this. 'Damnit' he said in his head walking up to Midnight stiff as a board.
" Umm, Welcome ladies and gentle men, we at UA high have quite the treat for you, from the general studies course to support course to the hero course we will all be following our school Moto for your viewing pleasure. Now, say it with PLUS-"
"ULTRA" The crowd shouted cheering at the speech
Izuku then walked of the stage back to his friends who congratulated him on the speech. They turned back to the stage to see Midnight spinning a roulette wheel to decide the first event.
"And the first event issss... Obstacle Race" She exclaimed
"In the obstacle race you will all be faced with a series of challenges in the four kilometre dash around the stadium. You will be permitted to use your quirks as long use you don't leave the track or injury any other students. Oh and might I add that only the first 42 of you will be granted entry into the next round" Midnight said making them all view each other as obstacles for the other to get over.
They were all led to a tunnel which entered the obstacle course and waited for a few moments until Present Mic said over the loudspeaker "3, 2, 1 GOOOOO!!"
Everyone in the tunnel were suddenly trapped trying to get past each other to which Aizawa who was also in to commentator booth along with Present Mic commented "The true first obstacle"
Todoroki realised that this was an obstacle and glided on the walls using an ice path and once he was out he formed a wall of ice and immediately blocked all the students as he supposedly took the lead when he saw four figures passing him-the first was Midoriya, the second was Bakugo, the third Iida and the fourth was Uraraka. Todoroki was dumbfounded and frozen in place for a bit then took off using his ice and wondered how Uraraka and Iida of all people passed him, he could understand Midoriya and Bakugo but those two, he would have to pick up his game. Some of the other students managed to get through and join the race with most of them being from 1A as according to Aizawa they had all learned not to hesitate. Todoroki had passed Uraraka and Iida but couldn't catch up with Bakugo and Izuku. It was clear that they had both been training hard for the sports festival
'Damnit I should have trained more' Todoroki thought to himself as he considered using his fire side but quickly shut the idea off and accepted that he would most likely get third place.
The first obstacle then arrived, a hord of 0pointers blocked them. Izuku jumped up and kicked through the head of a making it malfunction and got knocked back and continued with, Bakugo blasting through another with his explosions, Todoroki flash froze the robots but wasn't as kind to leave them that way making them all collapse to the floor yet again blocking everyone but Iida quickly created a path with a quick respro-burst powered kick. Izuku then saw a pit fall coming up and stopped leaving an opportunity for both Bakugo and Todoroki to get past him with Bakugo using his explosion to blast himself across and Todoroki using his ice path.
'Alright, here goes nothing' Izuku said in his head as he activated 20% of One For All which was his currently maximum thanks to the training of both All Might and Gran Torino during the two weeks of training and fajin, the quirk of the third user of One For All making creating a faux 80% of One For All and gaining the same red hair, eyes, and arches of lightning which confused the crowd so Aizawa decided to eleborate based on what he had overheard Izuku tell his classmates 2 weeks ago.
"This is an extension of Midoriya's quirk which allows him to build up kinetic energy and release it in a burst of speed and power whenever he chooses" He explains.
He stepped back a bit allowing both Uraraka and Iida to get past him seeing him with the same power he had displayed at the USJ but they didn't let that distract them as Iida used his respro-burst which he could use for 10 minutes now thanks to his newly upgraded engines to jump past the pit and Uraraka using her pseudo flight to get over.
Izuku then propelled himself over the pitfall with overwhelming speeds and he immediately passed Iida and Uraraka. He dug his feet into the ground at a turn as to not go over the course. He looked forward and grinned seeing Bakugo and Todoroki a few hundred metres ahead of him about to pass the final obstacle and he immediately blitzed towards them and passed them in a few seconds much to their surprise. The final obstacle was a mine field which Izuku ran past. He ran faster than the mines could explode and was the first to reach the finish line. The mines behind him exploded creating a dog of pink smoke.
"Damn you Deku" Bakugo shouted before blasting through the smoke even though he couldn't see through it but still managed to get through and snag second place. After a few more moments Todoroki arrived in 3rd place Uraraka 4th and Iida 5th and the other top 42 contestants.
"All right ladies and gentlemen, now that we have our top 42 students we will be moving on to the next event" Midnight announced
Midnight then spun the roulette wheel once more to decide the next even.
"And the next even isssss... Cavalry battle. This event is based off points. The amount of points you have depends on your rank in the previous race."
"You may all know that UA just loves throwing challenges your way, so the first place will be awarded 10MILLION points"
With this said Izuku was sweating both on the outside and inside feeling multiple pairs of eyes staring him down
