You were sitting at your desk in jumpstreet, finishing some work when you got a call. It was 2:30pm and you were eating some fruit while working. You pick up the phone. "officer y/l/n" you say into the phone. "hello" a woman begins, "is this y/n?" the woman asked. "yes, is everything okay?" you question, confused. "yes, I was wondering if you know where Tom is?" she says. You pause out of confusion. "Tom Hanson" you ask putting a grape in your mouth. "yes" she responds. You look at Tom's desk but remember that he's on a case in a high school with Doug. "I'm sorry he's on a case right now, do you want me to take a message?" you ask pulling a post-it from infront of your computer and getting a pen in your hand. "yes please" she begins, "could you ask him if we're still on for date night tomorrow?" she finished. "of course, could I have your name please" you ask. "Hailey (change if you want)" she said. "okay Hailey ill make sure to ask him" you say happily into the phone. "thank you, bye!" she says. "bye" you hang up the phone and sigh. I didnt know he was seeing someone. You think as you eat more grapes. You spend the day doing more work. It was boring but you still liked some parts. Eventually Tom and Doug got back, you look at the post-it, picked it up and turned your chair to Tom's desk that he was now sitting at. He was wearing a bandana and he actually looked quite...cute. Wait no he's taken. You shake your head clearing your thoughts. "hello y/l/n" Hanson softly said. "hello Hanson" you responded. "I have a message for you" you continue, holding up the post-it note. Hanson's eyes follow it and he looks confused. You hand him the note and watch his face to see his reaction. He blushes at the message. "why didn't you tell me?" you whisper. "it's a secret, don't say a word y/-" Tom was cut off by Doug. "HELLO" He shouted. You turned to face him, stood up and hugged him. He hugged you back tighter but separated after a moment. You turned to Tom and seen that he had thrown the note away. "I better get going" you say as you look at your watch. You gather your things and walk out the door saying goodbye to Hanson and Penhall. On your drive home you couldn't help but think about the message for Hanson. We're you.. Jealous? You always had feelings for Hanson but now any chance you had was out of the window. When you got home you felt horrible. What if he thinks I get to close? Maybe I shouldnt talk to him as much? Why did she call me? Does Hanson hate me? Questions like these went through your head all evening. At around 7:30 there was a knock at the door. You opened it and you were greeted by Judy. You were having a movie night and you completely forgot but still had fun. You and Judy were sitting on the couch when the questions all flooded in your head. Maybe you should tell Judy. "hey Jude" you say. Judy pauses the movie your watching and turns to face you smiling, "yeah?" she asks. Her smile drops as she sees your face. "whats wrong?" she questions putting her hand on yours. "Today I got a call" you began, "it was from someone named Hailey and she wanted me to pass a message on to Hanson and i think that they're dating" you finished tears forming in your eyes. Judy's jaw dropped but she slowly smiled. "YOU LIKE TOM!" She shouted. You thought about it and smiled. "I think so" you say grinning at Judy. She hugs you and you make her swear not to tell anyone, after that you both watch more movies. When Judy leaves you think about Tom and if you really like him. You lay in bed and stare at the ceiling. I do sometimes blush when I'm around him but that's natural.. And I stutter sometimes but that's just how I talk, well to him at least. I'm not jealous of Hailey..right? You slowly drift asleep.

You have been doing desk work for a while and it's become normal. Usually it's me and Judy doing desk work but today it was me and Hanson. Great. I thought about it and I really do like Hanson, he's just so sweet, caring, genuine, funny, smart oh and he's also handsom- "Y/N!" Tom shouted from your desk. You shot up and looked at him. "yes?" you said trying to sound normal. "I was TRYING to ask if you wanted to come to dinner to meet" he leaned in to your face "Hailey" he whispered. "oh uhm sure" you said staring into his chocolate eyes, realising how close he was to your face. He smiled and walked back to his desk. He gave you the details and after work you went home and got ready. You drove to the restaurant and seen Tom and a beautiful woman sitting next to him in a booth, you sat opposite them. "hello" you said as you sat down. The woman he was with had black long straight hair and natural makeup on that made her face shimmer. "hi you must be y/n" she shook your hand. "oh I forgot something one moment" Tom said as he got up and left. You watched him leave get into his car and drive away. "what-" you were cut off by Hailey, "Im sorry its just I knew you'd come if he said he was going to be here, I just really wanted to meet you" Hailey said. "oh" you said looking at her green eyes. "that's fine" you said as a waiter came and took your order. "so you're the great y/n!" she said excited. "yes, but why did you want to meet me?" you said confused by this whole situation. "Tom always talks about you and I just wanted to meet you in person and get to know you" she said, this made you feel warm inside,he talks about me? You think to yourself. "that's very kind" you said as a waiter came and gave you you're food. The two of you began eating and getting to know each other. She was actually quite nice. All was going well until someone walked in, you didn't bother looking and took another bite of your food. Hailey looked "ooh he's cute, definitely your type" she said winking at you. You turned and looked. DAMIEN! You coughed the food in your mouth. Hailey looked very concerned. This drew attention from staff....and customers. "that's my ex" you managed to get out to Hailey. You stopped coughing and and told Hailey that the two of you better get going as it was late anyway. You offered to drive Hailey home and the two of you got out of the restaurant as quick as possible. You drove Hailey to her house and as you drove off you realised you were being followed. Shit. You couldn't go home. You drove around to confirm it and you were definitely being followed. You were low on fuel and the nearest friend to you was Hanson. You pulled up to his apartment block, ran inside and knocked on his door. You urgently looked from side to side but Hanson opened the door quickly. "y/n?" he said confused. You pulled him into a hug and pushed yourself into his apartment and locked the door with a hand behind your back. You didn't want to scare him or make him panic. He noticed what you'd done, "y/n" he separated the hug. "whats going on?" he asked. "Damien" Tom was shocked at the name. "he followed me here" you finished. Tom just looked at you. "huh" he said before there was a knock at the door. You froze, consumed by fear. You looked at Tom and he was looking at his gun. Tom gently moved you behind him and looked through the peephole of his door. "oh" he said before opening it, "hey Hailey" Tom said kissing her, this made your blood boil. What's wrong with me? You think to yourself. You walked to Tom's window and noticed that Damiens car was gone. "I should leave" you say pushing past the two of them and leaving the apartment. They said something but you didn't care. You got into your car and drove around. You pulled into the parking lot of an ice cream parlor, and just sat there. Tears started steaming down your face as you thought about Tom and Hailey, what if they get married and Im invited? It would be rude not to go. You thought a lot and realised that you needed a break. A few days to get your head back to earth. You walk to a nearby pay phone and dial the number of one of your closest friends, Robin. Robin is a party animal to say the least. The two of you met in high school and you became friends. Her and Judy didn't really get along so it was difficult to hang out with the both of them. Anyway, you and Robin were close friends and she knew how to cheer you up. She answered, "hey y/n" she said enthusiasticly. "hey Robin, I need your help" you say into the phone.

All of jumpstreet is at work and it's busy, Ioke and Judy are on a case and Doug, Hanson and Y/N are on desk work. Well, Y/N seems to have not shown up. Captain Fuller says that she called in sick to Doug and Tom when they ask but Tom doesn't buy it, after all, he seen her last night and she was fine. He tells Doug and they start on their own secret case.

"you sure about this" I ask Robin as she's speeding down the road in her beat up car. "Y/n youre having man problems, that's the worst thing for someone like you" she said confidently. "what do you mean someone like me?" I say turning my head and looking at her. "look y/n, this party will be fun, it's got all sorts of rich men there" she said turning up the radio and driving faster. "do we really have to dress this fancy?" you ask looking at the black dress and gloves your wearing. Robin forced you to dress like this with your hair pinned into a bun with a few hairs loose, she also made you wear high heels that were very uncomfortable. She wore something similar but in navy blue. "yes, of course its necessary" she said not taking her eyes off of the road. Robin pulled up infront of a mansion and the two of you walked to the entrance. You were stopped by security, "name" the bald, tall, strong man said. "Robin and my +1" Robin said motioning to you. You smiled at him and he nodded his head and the two of you walked into the house that looked like a castle. You looked around in awe at the historic building. It had to be very old. Robin linked her arm with yours and led you to a room with a few couches and a TV, sitting on the couches was two men who looked you and Robin's age. Both you and Robin sat on the couch beside theirs and you recognised them as old friends from high school. Robin looked at a black haired, dark skinned guy with piercing blue eyes. Ian. The boy beside him with blonde hair, a tanned complexion and grey eyes locked his eyes with yours. Mark. "it's nice to see you guys again" Robin said cutting off your thoughts. "yes it is truely great" Ian said looking between the two of you. Robin stood up "oh Ian I need to tell you something, please, follow me" she said. As they were leaving she turned and winked at you. "oh...OH" you thought as you realised why she winked. Mark stood up and moved to sit beside you. He placed two glasses infront of you both. He picked up a bottle of champagne and poured some into the glasses. He offered one to you. "no thanks" you said smiling politely. He placed it down and took a sip from his. "so how have you been" he asked. You turned and faced him "fine how about you?" you ask. "Ive been great" he said smiling. "what type of work do you do?" he asked. "oh nothing important, I move around alot" you say, lying. He buys it. "you do anything special?" you question. "I must do something to own this house" he says leaning back on the sofa. "oh wow its a beautiful home" you say your eyes exploring the room. "yes, indeed" he says standing up. "shall we join the others?" he asks offering you a hand. You take it and stand up, "sure!" you say as Mark leads you out of the room and to an open area with many people. Wheres Robin? You think to yourself. Music starts playing and Mark pulls you infront of him. "oh i dont dance" you say shyly. "that's alright, I'll show you" he says pulling you into him. You blush a bit at his action. The song starts and you both sway from side to side. "I've always liked you y/n" he gently said. Your eyes widened. "you have?" you ask. "mhm" he said. You looked into his eyes. He connected your lips with his in a delicate kiss. You both pulled away after a few seconds, "I wish I did that years ago" he said putting a hand behind your ear. You felt something on his hand you you pulled it to your face. A RING??"Youre married!?" you say in shock. You turn to your right and see a woman crying. You turn to him and he just looks at her running away. "y/n I was going to file for divorce I swea-" you slapped him in the face causing everyone to gasp and stare. You ran after the woman who is his wife. You found her in a corner sitting on the ground crying. You sat beside her. She had long curly ginger hair and freckles, she was a bit tanned and she was gorgeous. You felt horrible. "I'm so sorry, I didn't know he was married" you say pulling her into a hug. She hugs you back and sniffles and pulls away. "love is so difficult" she says wiping away her tears. "tell me about it" you respond. She looks at you in suprise, "men probably fall at your sides and worship you" she laughs. You giggle "I wish" you say. "you know, I don't need this" she pulls her wedding ring off and throws it on the ground. "who has your heart?" she asks wiping the last of her tears. "it's not him, I'm sure" she says making you laugh again. "His name is Tom, he's the best guy a girl could want" you say, "but?" the girl says, "he's taken" you finish looking down. "I'm sorry doll" she says. "maybe he'll come to his senses and realise how amazing you truely are" she says comforting you. "thanks, I'm y/n" you say looking at her. "I'm Rhia" she says smiling. The two of you talked for a while and then Robin joined you both, after a while it was time to leave and you all did. You spent the night with Robin and thought about everything that occurred. You fell asleep wondering if you should come clean about your feelings or just wait, and wait, and wait. Soon enough you fell asleep, little did you know the adventures that awaited you.
