Another two days passed,
Today, Haseena was a little happy. She had successfully completed the three days' challenge given by the dean and the trustee of her medical college. In only three days, she had completed all her previous classes' notes, assignments and other projects with the help of Vanya and the internet. The dean and the trustee were highly embarrassed in front of all students. Almost every student congratulated her in the college. And even, the trustee and the dean apologized to her. She was excited to share this news with her family, especially with her Anu.

She was going to her home. Now, she was travelling without Cheetah and Karan as she assured them she can handle every situation with calm and confidence. They too agreed with her, knowing that their interference might hurt her emotionally or mentally.

She was near to her home. With a small smile, she was taking steps toward her house. Then, suddenly a football hit her. She took that ball and looked here and there to know who was the player. She found the two small boys nearly the age of 10/12 years. They seemed scared. They were looking at each other with fear and sweaty faces. She passed a warm and beautiful smile to them. She asked them while showing the ball,

HM: Hi, kya yeh ball aap dono ki hain?

The boys looked at each other and then at her. They replied in a low and scared tone,

BOYS: H..haan...

HM: Arey bachcho, aap dono aise darr kyun rahe hain! Ghabrayiye mat, hum aapko nahi daatenge. Yeh lijiye, aapki ball.

She was about to throw the ball toward them but the boys shouted,

BOYS: Nahi... Nahi, hume yeh ball nahi chahiye.

HM: (confusingly) Arey, kyun nahi chahiye. Yeh ball toh aap hi hain naa... Phir kyun nahi chahiye?

BOY 1: Kyun ki isko aapne chhu liya hain naa... Issliye...!

She was hell shocked listening to his words. His voice was very innocent but his words were so harsh. She asked them in a cracking voice,

HM: K...kya mat...lab hain aapka?

BOY 2: Mere Mummy aur Daddy ne kaha hain ki aap achchhi didi nahi ho. Aapse baat nahi karni chahiye. Warna hume paap lag jaayega.

BOY 1: Haan, meri mumma aur papa ne bhi yeh hi kaha hain. Agar humne aapse baat ki ya aapke saath khele toh woh hume bahut daatenge. Woh kehte hain ki aap bahut bure ho aur agar hum aapke saath khele ya aapse baat ki toh hum bhi bure ban jaayenge.

BOY 2: Haan... Hume bura nahi ban-na. Hum toh good boys hain naa... Aap jaise bad nahi hain. Aap bahut bada things karte ho. Yeh ball aap hi rakh lo. Hume nahi chahiye yeh. Hum dusra le lenge.

HM: Nahi bachcho, aisa nahi hain. Hum bhi aapki tarah hi hain. Hum bhi good girl hi hain.

BOY 2: Jhuth bol rahe ho aap! Agar aap humari tarah good hote toh sab log aapse baat karte. Par aapse toh koi bhi baat nahi karta. Har koi aapko bura bura kehta hain. Kyun ki aap buri ho.

BOY 1: Haan, agar aap achchhi hoti toh aapse sab log katti kyun karte. Hume aapse baat nahi karni. Chalo Bunty yanha se.

BUNTY: Chalo Chintu. Agar kisi ne dekh liya toh hume bahut daatenge.

CHINTU: Haan... Jaldi chalo.

They held each other's hand and ran from there leaving a shocked and depressed Haseena there. She was totally devasted by their harsh words. She knew they had no awareness of what they had talked to her about a few minutes ago. She was not angry with them. She understood there are like water. Water takes any shape, depending on the container. Like this, the boys were just saying what their parents had taught them. But how could this world be so cruel? How could people have to teach this mentality to their children? With a blank face, she moved to her house.

-------------

She entered her home with an expressionless face. She quietly sat on a couch. Ammi came there from her room. She looked at her daughter and asked her while sitting beside her,

AMMI: Hassu, bete tu kab aayi?

HM: (low tone) Bas, abhi kuch minutes pehle aaye, Ammi.

Ammi put her hand on her cheek and questioned in a concerned tone,

AMMI: Kya baat hain, beta? Tu bahut udaas lag rahi hain? Sab thik toh hain naa!?

Haseena smiled a little and held her hand. She said,

HM: Sab thik hain, Ammi. Woh bas hum thak gaye hain. Aapko toh pata hain ki hum pichhle dino college ko lekar thoda sa pareshaan the. Bass isliye thoda sa thake hue hain.

Ammi sadly smiled. She understood she had faced some problems today. She made her daughter lay on the sofa putting her head on her lap. Ammi said while caressing her head lovingly,

AMMI: Tu chahe hume kuch na bataye, par hume pata hain beta ki tujhe kis daur se guzarna pad raha hain. Ammi hain teri hum. Tujhe kitna dard hota hain, yeh hum samajhte hain. Par tu kabhi bhi apne aapko akela mat samajh. Hum tere saath hamesha rahenge. Hamesha, har halat mein, har muskil mein tera saath denge.

Ammi kissed her cheek. Haseena didn't say anything but tightened the grip around her Ammi. Ammi was just caressing her head with lots of love and care. Haseena closed her eyes to feel her mother's beautiful presence around her. They stayed quiet for some time.

At that time, the doorbell rang. Both mother-daughter stood up. Haseena went to open the door. She was highly shocked. Cheetah was standing there with a bleeding head and ripped clothes. Santu was also with him. Ammi was too shocked to see him like this. Cheetah glanced at both of them and stepped inside without saying anything. Santu came inside and locked the door. Cheetah was going to his room when Ammi asked him,

AMMI: Yeh sab kya hain, Cheete? Tujhe itni chot kaise lagi?

After a small pause, Cheetah answered,

CM: (looking down) Wo...woh Ammi... Baat yeh... yeh hain ki hum kuch d...dost college mein kuch students games khel rahe the aur khelte khelte hum sab mein kuch kaha suni ho gayi. Baaton baaton mein hum log violent ho gaye.

HM: Aap sach keh rahe hain?

CM: Ye...yes Aapa. Hum... hum bhala ky...kyun jhuth bolenge!

HM: Aapke ghabrahat aur haklane (fumbling) se lag toh nahi raha hain ki aap sach bol rahe hain. Sach batayiye, chhote. Kya hua hain?

CM: Aapa, koi badi baat nahi hain. Aap kuch jyada hi soch rahi hain.

Haseena glared at him and then she turned to Santu. She asked her,

HM: Santu, aap batayiye ki kya baat hain?

SS: (looking down) Didu, jo Cheete ne kaha hain woh hi sach hain. Koi badi baat nahi Hui. Bas, yeh ladke baaton baaton mein kuch jyada hi bhadak gaye.

HM: Yeh hi baat aap humari aankhon mein dekhkar kahiye.

Santu looked at her but didn't say anything. Haseena continued,

HM: Santu, aap humse kuch nahi chhupa sakti. Sach sach batayiye, Santu. Aisa kya hua ki Chhote ko haatha-paai karni padi. Santu, hum guzarish karte hain aapse! Batayiye sach kya hain.

Santu looked at her painfully. She gazed at Cheetah and then at Haseena. Santu's eyes became moist. She said,

SS: Didu, woh... woh college mein hum dono canteen mein baithe the. Tab kuch students Cheete ko aur hume dekhkar aap...aapke baare mein bahut bu...bure bure comments pass karne lage. Hum dono ne pehle unn logon ko neglect kiya. Par woh log chup hi nahi ho rahe the. Ulta seedha jo muh mein aaye bake jaa rahe the. Iss baat se gussa hokar hum logon mein kaha suni ho gayi. Aur baat itni aage badh gayi ki Cheete aur woh log physical ho gaye.

Cheetah closed his eyes for a second. Ammi was shocked and hurt by hearing this. Haseena had no expression on her face. She turned to Cheetah and asked in a stern tone,

HM: Kya keh rahe the woh?

He looked at her with surprise and replied,

CM: Aapa, unhone jo bhi kaha ho, humne unka muh tod jawab diya hain. Aap jyada tension mat lijiye. Jaane dijiye iss baat ko.

HM: (blankly) Kya kaha tha unn logon ne?

CM: Aapa...

HM: (loudly) Humne jo puchha hain uska jawab dijiye.

Cheetah looked down. He gathered some courage and said with closed eyes,

CM: Aapke kirdaar (character) par ungli utha rahe the. Aapko taw...tawaif (prostitute) keh rahe the. Hume tang karne ke liye aapka number maangne ka natak kar rahe the.

Tears started to flow from Ammi's eyes whereas Haseena was standing like a statue. Santu was tensed for her didu. She was about to say something but Haseena stopped her by showing her palm. She said in a cold tone,

HM: Santu, Chhote ke chhot par dressing kar dijiye.

Saying this she moved upstairs to her room. Ammi was trying to talk with her but Santu stopped her as she knew Haseena needed some space alone. Ammi sat on the couch putting her hand on her mouth to avoid the sound of her cry. She was crying vigorously.

--------------

Haseena went into her room. She opened the bathroom and stepped inside. Standing under the shower, she turned it on. She closed her eyes as soon as water droplets fell on her face. She didn't cry at all but her heart was aching so painfully. She fell to her knees with a thud. How long does she have to tolerate this unbearable pain? Her mind, her body, and her heart were paining badly by this intolerant behaviour and questions of this cheap mentality of the society. She was tired from this. But she must have to fight with it.

--------------

Almost after an hour, Haseena came down from her room. Ammi, Cheetah, Santu and even Pushpa ji were present there. Everyone was tensed. They all stood up and looked at her. She calmly said,

HM: Hum Anu ke paas jaa rahe hain, Ammi.

AMMI: Beta, aaj mat jaa tu. Hum...

HM: (cuts her) Nahi Ammi. Anu humara intezaar kar rahe honge. Hum chalte hain. Aap log chinta mat karna, hum apna khayal rakh lene.

Everyone sighed. Pushpa ji came near her, caressed her cheek and said,

PJ: Apna khayal rakhna, beta.

Haseena nodded and went to the hospital.

-----------

Haseena reached the hospital. Maa was already there. Haseena passed a small smile to Maa. Maa smiled and said,

MAA: Aao beta, tumhara hi intezaar ho raha tha. Tumhare bina mann kanha lagta hain yanha kisi ka!?

AS: (shyly) Maa...

MAA: Achchha achchha... nahi chidhaungi tujhe. Haseena beta, tum yanha aa gayi ho toh hum ghar ke liye nikalte hain. Ghar mein Sumi akeli hain. Hume jaana chahiye, beta. Hum kal subah phir se aa jaayenge. Waise toh tumhe kehne ki koi zaroorat nahi hain, par bhi keh rahe hain ki Anu ka khayal rakhna.

HM: Ji Maa, aap bilkul fikr na kare. Hum inka pura khayal rakhenge.

Maa smiled and left from there. Haseena sat beside Anubhav. He asked her childishly,

AS: Aaj aapne itna vilamb kyun kiya? Aapko pata hain, kabse pratiksha kar rahe the hum aapki.

HM: (looking down) Sorry, Anu. Hume deri ho gayi.

He sensed that something happened to her. Putting his hand under her chin, he made her look at him. He asked her with concern and love,

AS: Kya hua hain, Priye? Aapki aankhon mein bahut peeda dikh rahi hain hume. Aisa kya baat ho gayi jo humari Jaan ko itni peeda pahuncha rahi hain. Batayiye.

She was gazing into his eyes. Tears automatically started to flow from her eyes which made him scared. She was crying and his heartbeats increased. He asked in an impatient tone,

AS: Jaana, aap ro kyun rahi hain? Hume batayiye kya hua hain? Kisi ne kuch kaha aapko? Baat kya hain, Priye?

Her cry increased and she replied with hiccups,

HM: An..Anu, Hum... Hum se na...hi saha jaa raha hain. Hum th...thak gaye hain. Ba...bahut dard ho raha hain hume... Hu...hum nahi bar...bardasht kar paa rahe hain, Anu....

Friends,
First of all, let me clarify that I am not disrespecting prostitutes. I believe that they are also human beings and they also deserve respect. And I truly respect them. Even, the Supreme court also stated that SEX WORK IS ALSO A WORK. But aaj bhi log inko galat nazariye dekhte hain aur galat cheezon ke liye inka examples dete hain. So, unn ladko ke through yani Cheetah ke saath jinki ladaai hui thi unn ladko se aisa kehalwana pada. Mera intension kisi ko hurt karne ka nahi hain. That's why isse galat way mein na le.

Secondly, kayi saare schools mein, gharon mein chhote bachcho ko yeh sikhaya jaa raha hain ki rapes actual galti victim ki hi hoti hain, ladki ki hoti hain. Chhote chhote bachcho ko yeh sikhaya jaa raha hain. Mere paas proof bhi hain. Ek youtube news channel ne school ke bachcho se unhe iss baare mein school mein aur ghar mein kya padhaya jaa raha hain puchha toh bachcho ke answer sunkar main dang rah gayi yaar... Mujhe gussa bhi bahut aaya. Maine pehle socha tha ki woh video yanha dikhau but mujhe itna gussa aaya tha ki main puri tarike se nahi dekh paai aur woh hi gussa main aapko nahi dilana chahti toh maine woh video nahi daala.

Aur haan, main aur kuch courtroom scene likhne wali hoon. Iss baar Sajid Malik ki opinion nahi hogi jyada par ek relatable incident hoga.
