"Our planet is about to be hit by a giant asteroid! Come with me if you wanna pay!....I mean, live."
You and Sonic stood in between a crowd of villagers as Eggman was standing on a small stage, speaking into a microphone talking about utter nonsense?
"Really?" Sonic spoke up with a sarcastic tone. "'We're about to be obliterated by a giant asteroid's scheme?'"
"Yeah Egghead, this is your worst plan yet! And I've seen awful one folks, awful ones!"
"This asteroid is real!" Eggman snapped after hearing both you and Sonic. "Which, I'll admit takes the joy of it being a scheme, but you gotta dance with the girl one brought ya!"
As the folks around you, including Sonic, started to laugh. you actually thought for a moment. Last night you were looking through Tail's 'tails-a-scope' and saw the signs of an asteroid coming. Of course, you didn't think much, seeing how asteroids passed by like metors, but now that Eggman comes and warns the citizens about an asteroid coming?
Oh no...
You ran up on stage, making Sonic stop his laughter and watch you stand beside Eggman and speak into the microphone.
"I believe Eggman!"
Everyone gasped. You? The hero? Agreeing with the enemy Bizzare, YES I KNOW!
"Y/N, are you okay? Do you feel sick?" Sonic called out to you, zooming over to feel your forehead only to make you slap him away as he stood back in the crowd.
"No! Last night I saw the--"
"Oh whatever man, this is all for show! Look at her trying to show off!" A man in the crows waved the A/N off and began to walk away, the other agreeing with him and leaving.
"Are you serious-- NO! Why would I even do--"
As you tried to speak, you grumbled as you slam your head to your wrist as you bend over, Eggman standing beside you with an awkward stance.
"Do you...seriously believe me?" Eggman asked, actually kinda surprised and you nod as you stand up.
"Just because we're sworn enemies, doesn't mean we can't agree on something like this!" You mimic him as he stroked his mustache.
"Mmh, Touche-"

"I'm gonna be rich!" Eggman cheered as he, Y/N, Orbot, Cubot, and a bunch of other people stood in front of Eggman's secret bunker, with his rocket sitting beside him. "What's the point of having so much money if everyone and everything is dead and gone!-" You spoke up as you looked at him , only to earn and hand to the face and pushed you behind.
"I'm now placing my decision on who's more bunker worthy! Each of you must write a one-page essay on why you deserve to be saved!"
Soon, Dave raised his hand as he stood in the crowd.
"Uh, yeas, Dave?" You called out to him.
"Can it be double-spaced?"

"These essays are awful!" Eggman screams as he throws the paper to the table and scoffs. "Looks like the evil scheme two hundred page teachers came back to bite me! Cubot, go make them draw straws!"
As Cubot salutes in response and flies out of the bunker, you were about to enter until Eggman stops you.
"Where's your essay?" he yelled, getting close to my face.
"Wha- I'm the one who convinced everyone about the asteroid, what more do I need to prove I deserve to be in the bunker!?"
"An essay!" And with that he pushed aside as you grumbled, kicking his bunker, only to have you curse in pain as you hop up and down holding into your toe, and quietly died inside.

"Our only choice is to shoot it from space!"
"We'll need to borrow Eggman's rocket!"
"He'll never let us use it! He WANTS the asteroid to hit!"
Sonic thinks for a moment, before getting an idea. Remember where you are.
"Unless...we have a little A/N steal it for us." Sonic smirks as he plays with his communicator and --

A sudden buzz on your wrist causes you to lean on a tree and answer.
"Yo?"
Once you heard Sonic's voice, you listen carefully to his plan. With a smirk you walk over to a fellow police officer, tap his shoulder, and whisper something in his ear.
A few minutes later. Eggman saw from the corner of his eye his rocket began to move. Looking at it, he saw a policeman was towing it away with his motorcycle.
"What's the meaning of this?!"
"You have to follow alternate sides of the regulations of the street, EVEN in a jungle!"
You smiled as you jumped onto the edge of the platform, and stuck your tongue out at Eggman who just grumbled as he watched you slowly drift away.

"Okay Ground Control, I'm ready for my mission!" Sonic grinned as he stood in front of the large rocket, but Amy chuckles nervously. "Uhm, Actually Sonic? We think Knuckles should go."
"WHAT? No way!"
"He's the only one strong enough to lift the machine if something goes wrong!" Tails point out as he walks by the gang with a space outfit, fit just for Knuckles.
"He's also the only one big enough to fit in the suit-" You added.
"But how often do I literally get to save the world!?"
"According to the TV listings...about once a week!" Knuckles explained, showing the blue hedgehog a newspaper and smiling cheekily.
"Sacrificing your glory for the common good is ALSO very heroic!" Amy smiles as she looks at Sonic, scared he might throw some sort of fit.
"Okay, then I guess Knuckles and I will BOTH be heroes!"
"Yeah, but I'm the hero going into space to save the day!" Knuckles grinned.
"Knuckles, Solar Convergence Device, or as I like to call it, the Solar Convergence Device. Has been loaded into the Egg Rocket. When it comes alongside the asteroid, you'll have to activate the Solar Convergence Device."
Amy stares at the yellow fox bluntly.
"Tails, we don't have a lot of time here. Could you shorten the name for that thing?"
"Fine. The SCD"
"The what?" Knuckles asked,
"The SCD!"
"The what?"
"The SCD!"
Knuckles just stares at Tails, unsure of what he's talking about.
"The Solar Convergence Device!"
"OH! Well, why didn't you just say so?"
"You'll need to activate it, and then get as far away from the asteroid as quickly as possible!" Tails explained, and Knuckles nods.
"Got it!"
"The first step is to set the calibration level to forty-seven degrees!"
"Uh- what's the opposite of 'got it!'?"
"Don't worry, I wrote it down for you!" Tails said as he took out a piece of yellow paper. "With pictures!" He handed it to Knuckles who skimmed through it

As you stood beside the rocket, you finally saw Knuckles slowly start to walk out of Tails workshop, dressed in his space suit. Some astronaut music also played, making you ten times more confused than you already were.
A couple of moments passed and Amy got impatient with Knuckles.
"Knuckles, the asteroid is about to crash into us! You need to hurry!"
"Oh, sorry! I was trying to be dramatic!" Knuckles said as he now walks at a normal pace to the rocket.

"Knuckles, as you approach the asteroid, its magnetic interference with disrupt radio communication!" Tails spoke into his communicator as Knuckles was now in space.
"Uh, Are you sure Knuckles can do this?" You spoke up as you stood beside the yellow fox and the pink hedgehog.
"As long as he has this list I gave him-"
You facepalm as Tails takes out the list.
"Uh oh! What did I give Knuckles?!"
"Milk, Tomatoes, Tail conditioner- oh, these instructions are way more difficult than I thought. I'll just have to wing it! "
"Knuckles should have been back in radio range about now..." Tails spoke softly as he waits for something to show Knuckles is still with them. Sonic frowns softly. "It should have been me..."
You grumbled as you snatch Tails' communicator right off his wrist and spoke. "Knuckles! Can you hear me!.....c'mon!"
"Uh- Hey, Tails!?"
Smiles formed on all of your faces hearing Knuckles' voice.
"Knuckles! You made it! Did my Solar Convergence Device work?"
"It kinda broke, but being a hero I took care of the asteroid! Smashed it to bits!" Knuckles spoke with confidence until Tails spoke up. "Knuckles, all those pieces are going to come crashing down on us!"
"Yeah!" Sonic cheered until you stepped on his toe and glared at him. "Ow! Oh, uh- I mean, that's terrible..." All of a sudden Sonic took out Amy's hammer and zoomed out of the workshop and used the hammer to smash all the pieces of the asteroid pieces right back to orbit where they came from.
Sonic soon returned as Tails smiled.
"Eggman's rocket brought back some awesome pictures!"

"I can't believe Knuckles landed on the moon!" You laughed as you looked at the photo with a grin.
"Me neither! The was obviously shot on the sound stage!" Sticks added.
"Tch, Knuckles may have gone to space but I knocked thirty pieces of the asteroid back into space!" Sonic bragged, like he usually does, until Tails points out.
"I counted thirty-one pieces!-"
You started to remember Eggman and his dumb bunker and you started to cackle, causing the others to stare at you with confusion.
"That's what Egghead gets for having to make me write an entire essay!"
