THURSDAY the night before the dinner party production on velma & daphne wrapped. around 2pm was levi, olivia, sabine, & adriel's last scene. as soon as the director said "and that's a wrap on levi, olivia, sabine, & adriel" eyes were filled with tears, happy ones. rae & sadie grabbed the four and they all went into a group hug.
after the four had wrapped, rae & sadie spent the rest of the day on their last scene.
around 2am was when the director yelled in his kiwi accent, "and that's a wrap on our velma & daphne. miss sawyer & miss sink! it was a pleasure to work alongside such annoyingly talented young women!" rae & sadie both giggled because they know waititi means no harm, just heart. they both hugged the director and thank you's came from their mouths. they went in for a hug, just the two of them. crying, mostly because it was 2am and they'd been working all day but also because this was the last time they were gonna work together.
coming out of their hug they both pressed their foreheads together. the words "my lovebug" escape from sadie's lips and rae replies with "my ba-"
"oh you guys were awesome!" ezra enters the scene congratulating the two, "my little sister and her best friend are such great actors." you can sense a half-joking nature about his comment because ezra would never compliment rae like that. "yeah," sadie laughs awkwardly because of the intimate moment the two girls had just shared got interrupted. "you sure know how to ruin a moment!" rae says under her breath, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms.
ezra holds sadie by the arm ushering her away from rae, "hey sadie, do you think i can borrow you for a sec? i have to leave for class so it really will just be for a sec." sadie replies confused looking back at rae in between her words, "uh yeah sure ezra."
rae knows of ezra's gigantic crush on sadie but doesn't think he'll ever go for it because he's the shyest boy ever. barely got his first kiss on the last day of senior year because this girl, who'd had a crush on him the whole time she knew him, made the first move. but she has a feeling sadie likes him back and she might go for it...
the two step to the side & ezra takes a big breath, "so i know you're leaving saturday morning to film but i wanted to let you know how fun it has been having you around." sadie replies, "thanks ezra. you've been a great roommate. always making me pancakes... i really appreciate you." ezra smiles, "i'm really gonna miss you & i hope i get to talk to you some more tomorrow night."
"yeah of course. i'll always make time for my best friend's annoying brother," sadie says half-joking. ezra playfully rolls his eyes, "alright. bye sadie." he looks over at rae behind sadie's right shoulder, "bye rae." rae waves back unenthusiastically.
