Five and Bellatrix sat at the tattoo parlour as Pogo looked at them blankly as he smoked a cigar.
"Bellatrix!" He exclaimed as a smile graced his face, "I've missed you my girl." The said girl smiled at him before he directed his gaze onto five, clearly judging the boy. "Why are you with trix? I don't tattoo children."
"Swell, I'm not here for the ink. I'm bellatrix's boyfriend." He told pogo as Bellatrix slowly turned her head to him, her face showing emotions such as shock and amusement. "We are here because you and us have a mutual friend. Sir Reginald Hargreeves."
Pogo sighed and looked to the ground before making eye contact with Bella, "of course she knows him, and whatever he wants, I'm not interested." He stated as Bellatrix narrowed her eyes at five,
"What the fuck are you doing?" She hissed lowly at the boy, "I can get any information I want from him."
Pogo chuckled in amusement as he what he'd, what was to him a lover's quarrel, it also seemed to him that the girl didn't know why five was asking about Hargreeves. "She's right." Pogo stated, "He loves Bella, she's the only person I've ever saw that Reginald genuinely loves."
"Who doesn't love her." Five said as he looked at the somewhat looking embarrassed girl adoringly.
"Five, shut the fuck up."
Five got back into professional mode and looked at the ex member of the Hargreeves family. "I don't think you understand. I'm one of his children." By now pogo has went back to his work but what five said next made him shocked, "From another timeline."
Bellatrix noticed some men walking towards the, as she made a face at five, gesturing for him to be more quick with this as she wasn't bothered getting into a fight. "Another timeline?" Pogo stood up and asked, rather intrigued, but hesitant before he brushed off his thoughts and chuckled.
Five had finally took notice of the me approaching them and became more insistent on talking to the monkey, "As crazy as it sounds, you and I have met before." He stated "Back in 1963, when you were a diaper wearing chimp in dire need of a manicure."
Bellatrix couldn't stop the chuckle that escaped her mouth as she put a hand over her mouth as she mumbled out an apology to the two. Five just smiled at her before continuing, he moved the collar of his suit down to show a scar he had. "I don't know if you remember, but I have a scar to prove it."
Pogo stepped forward, more invested. "If what your saying is true, I'd be talking to a man well in his sixties."
"He can time travel." She shrugged, "he has a cute weeny briefcase along with it." Bellatrix snorted as Pogo held in a laugh imaging that, "i can also time travel without that. I'm like Bella, powered person." Five quickly said,
Pogo looked at bellatrix and brought her into a hug as she embraced the chimp happily, "It was good to see you Bellatrix, feel free to visit me again." He told her before looking at five, he looked aback at the girl though it was clear his words were directed at the boy, "Now, if you'll excuse me, Ik r had a very long day."
Bellatrix nodded, respecting his wishes the not talk anymore as she smiled and waved, telling him that she will take him up on his offer and that it was good to see him.
"Pogo you need to listen to me." Five stated as he followed after him, Bella huffed but nonetheless too followed. A man quickly stopped their path and to say he smelt bad would be an understatement and Bella had to stop herself from gagging.
"Time to go home to mummy, lil kids." He stated as Belatrix stepped into view and saw him start to stutter under the girls burning stare, he felt a pain in his head, almost like a headache although it burnt and was hard to think straight.
"You don't even know if we have a mother. See ya." She shrugged as five quickly jumped them out of their and to where the motorbikes were. They spotted pogo quickly riding away as five cursed but found a guy on a motorbike ready to leave.
"Hi I need your bike it's an emergency."
Bellatrix pushed five out the way and used her telekinesis to make the man go flying off it as the two jumped on, five at the front as Bellatrix wrapped her arms around his torso.
The two sped off after pogo, as they were on a highway at one point Bella had rested her chin on the boys shoulder, five couldn't help but get butterflies in his stomach as he unknowingly smiled as he looked out to the road. Bellatrix saw this and she too couldn't help but get butterflies and red cheeks.
They had followed Pogo all the way to a trailer as the two children looking superhero's figured that he lived here.
There was a woman out the front, relaxing on what looked to be a beach chair as she blew on a cigarette, she also had a magazine in the other hand as the two quickly parked and got off the bike.
"Can I help you?" She asked till she finally took notice of Bella and her eyes widened, "shit."
"Sorry for trespassing but we really need to talk to pogo. Like asap." Bellatrix stated as the woman raised an eyebrow, trying to not look intimidated but the sixteen year old.
"Ain't no pogo here nightmare." She spoke as she used Bella's nickname,
Bella smiled sweetly though anyone could point out it was fake as she walked over the the woman and leaned over her chair, before looking up at the trailer and pointing at a window, "Then who's that?"
Five chuckled at the woman's expression which was a mixture of fear and shock and couldn't help but admire bella and think that she was oh so beautiful. He looked up to we're the girl was pointing and saw a frantic pogo quickly cover the windows.
"Bellatrix." Pogo yelled as she looked about sheepishly at the man who was one of her father figures. "Please stop scaring her and you two get inside."
"Sorry." She chuckled before handing the woman a lollipop from her pocket, it was red and had the sparrow academy logo in it as five and her went inside. The woman smiled at this act before popping the candy in her mouth.
Pogo was sat in a chair with a glass of alcohol as he gestured for the two to sit opposite him, which they did. As five sat down bellatrix heard the sound of a gun and quickly got a ashtray from the table in between them and dropped it on the floor, she quickly ducked down to pick it up to see that pogo did in fact have a gun aimed at five, not only that but now their was cigarette ash all over her shoe and groaned.
Bellatrix sent a glare to the chimp as he just looked away knowing that he had been caught, and if he did try to shoot it was evident that the girl would stop it. "You're either dumb or desperate." Pogo stated looking at the boy. "Which is it?"
"You tell me?" Five asked as he placed the skin of his future self on the table showing him the tattoo.
Pogo picked up the flesh and began to inspect it as he looked at him, "That looks like my work but I never did that tattoo." He stated as he tossed the skin back on the table.
"Well you haven't." Bella stated as all eyes went to her, "At least not yet. You see, five here cut it off his 100 year old self. Crazy right?"
"That's gross. Desperate you guys are, I see." Pogo answered as Bella eagerly nodded to the gross part.
"You would be too if you knew the entire universe was at stake." Five stated as pogo quickly averted his eyes to see Bella awkwardly rubbing her neck awkwardly as she looked anywhere but the two males near her.
Pogo looked back at five with a sigh, his fingers fidgeting with the glass of alcohol in his hands. "So it's happened." He asked, although it came out as more of a statement.
He got a piece of paper out of a box on the table and passed it over to the two, "Look familiar?" He asked as the two stared at it.
It was full of symbols with notes on the side as five matched up the flesh with one of the symbols on the paper. "Reggie was obsessed with these symbols." Pogo spoke up which made Bella chuckle quietly.
"Is." Bella corrected him and he nodded in acknowledgment. Five raised an eyebrow at the two confused, "It's a sigil. It's essentially a symbol that is thought to have magical powers. I've confirmed it does."
Five looked at the girl in confusion, "Dad believed in science, facts. I didn't respect much about the old man, but I respected that.Hooha was not his thing. It's gotta have a rational meaning." This made Bella make a offended face and decided to speak up.
"And "hooha" is real. Your father was not the same one as ours, they might look the same, speak the same, have the same DNA but they are not the same person." Bellatrix replied with a shrug, five had no clue how to respond to that, because she was in fact right.
"Correct. He referred to this as project oblivion." Pogo gestured to the paper as a chill ran down the girls spine, she knew about oblivion, and god it made her scared, surprisingly.
"This project. I need to know more." Five stated as Bella made herself to seem as normal as ever but inside she was trembling. She knew everything Reginald told her about oblivion, but they made a deal, she couldn't tell anyone as long as he was alive, her side was to find out why she looked like a 16 year old.
Pogo looked at the girl expectantly, he thought she would've told him, but alas she did not and he just decided to tell five himself.
