Each breath laced with anxiety.
Frantically looking for someone to love

so I opened my heart to everyone.
But it turns out they weren't as interested as I thought they'd be.
I see these stains on my heart
being as strong as I can.

There is a man with scars who died long ago,
he walks with me daily through the storms.
His hands are strong, my name written there,
and he tells me my worries are his burden.
When I smile, its because he saves,
and my tears are for the blood he gave.
