Fury recently had an idea to make both the X-Men and The Avengers better. He thought of a temporary transfer between them, in which they can share their ideology, strategy and work culture. Although Fury have more controlled over the Avengers, his relationship with the X-Men and thus Xavier is quite good. Fury pitched the idea to Charles, who think it's a great idea. Now, Charles brought his team together to decide who will temporarily join the Avengers. After eliminating vital teammates, people that likes to work along and people who have questionable behavior, they decided Y/N is perfect. For the Avengers they decided to send Clint Barton.
After packing up his stuff, Y/N went to the Stark tower with a suitcase in his left hand. He's walks inside where Tony is waiting with a smile. "Are you Y/N?"
"Yes." Y/N shakes Tony's hand. "It's an honor meeting you. I'm happy to work along with the Avengers."
They stop shaking hands. "Same here, and you don't have to be so formal. The team is waiting for you upstairs."
They take the elevator to arrive at one of the top floors. Afterwards, Tony led Y/N towards the meeting room. They quickly arrive, where Y/N sees the team for the first time. Steve, Thor, Natasha and Bruce see the new transfer teammate. Steve is first to walk towards Y/N. "It's an honor working together with a X-Men member." Steve smiles while giving a handshake.
Tony groans. "Again, with the honor... I can tell you two are going to be couple."
Steve glares at Tony, trying to hide his blush. He stops glaring and looks back at Y/N. "My name is Steve Rogers."
"It's wonderful to meet you, Captain." Y/N greets Steve back.
Moving on the next person who introduce their self to Y/N, it's Thor, who smiles happily, excited to work with a new teammate. The god introduces himself with a tight hug. "Welcome to the army little one!"
Y/N let out a yelp, not expecting to be lift up. After Thor put Y/N down, Y/N introduces himself. "I'm Y/N L/N. Pleasure meeting you."
"Thor Odinson, god of thunder, however, please consider me as an equal." Thor says kindly.

The next day, the team got a mission somewhere in Poland. Apparently, a HYDRA hideout is discovered where the team needs to get there ASAP. They boarded the quinjet and fly towards their destination. Once they arrive, they immediately went into an assault.
"Tony, fly up and give us the intel what we're dealing with!" Steve is giving orders to the team. He, Thor and Steve are at the entrance of the hideout, which is an underground bunker with parts sticking out of the ground. "Nat sneak inside. Bruce stays at the jet till further instructions." Steve says through the radio. He looks up to Y/N and Thor. "You two come with me for a front assault. Y/N, stay close to either one of us."
"Sure thing." Y/N responds. He, Steve and Thor stand up from their hiding place and begin their attack. Steve makes sure to protect Y/N by putting his shield up against the bullets. Thor summons the thunder to take out any snipers. Y/N focus on enemies in the front by casting curses upon the enemies.
They arrive inside. The trio manage to avoid any injury and are currently at a tight corridor. Steve and Y/N are in a hallway. Steve is on the other side then Y/N, taking cover via the walls while the HYDRA agents are shooting at them. Steve tries to move over to Y/N, however, doesn't get the chance thanks to the constant shooting.
Y/N notices this. "I'll come to you!" Once he tries to move to Steve, he almost got shot on the face. He quickly moves back.
Steve look worried at Y/N. "Y/N, are you alright?!
"I'm fine!" Y/N yells back. "Where is Thor!?"
Upon que, behind Y/N, Thor fights a couple of their enemies. After finishing them off, he sprints towards Y/N. "I am back! Are you doing well Y/N?"
"I'm fine, although we're in a tough position." Y/N answers.
Thor move pass Y/N to look at the situation. He holds his hammer tight and grins. "Then let us bring them down!" He let out a warrior cry and jump into the battlefield.
Y/N look back at Steve, waiting what he should do. "We better make sure to help him." With that Steve joins Thor. Y/N joins in as well.

The mission successfully ended. They took out the HYDRA base and either eliminate the agents or capture them. Although successful, Y/N got a wound at his stomach. Nothing lethal, but still a wound all the same. Thor is carrying Y/N towards the jet while Steve is checking up on Y/N. They soon reach the jet with the rest of the team and flied back to the base. Steve and Thor walk in the medical bay. Thor put Y/N on a table. Steve begins checking out the wound.
"How bad is it?" Y/N asks, between hissings.
Steve grabs supplies to treat the wound. "Nothing lethal. You will be fine." He says. He begins to treat the wound.
Thor notices Y/N looking down. He thinks it's depressing that his new teammate got wounded on his first mission. Thor decided to cheer up Y/N with a bright smile. "How about we watch a movie when this is over?"
"That would be nice." Y/N says back.

After the Y/N's wound is treated, Thor is starting up a movie at the movie theater room. (Yes, Tony installed a theater room in the tower.) Thor takes a seat somewhere in the middle of the cinema next to Y/N's right side, who is holding a box of popcorn. The whole room is empty except the two.
"I heard the movie I put on has great reviews." Thor says. "At least according to Tony, however I am not sure if he was being sarcastic or not."
Y/N chuckles. "What movie are we watching?"
"I don't know the exact name, however a man called Adam Sandler is in it."
After halving an hour, Y/N felt asleep during the movie. Not knowing to him, his head falls on Thor's shoulder. When it fell, Thor looks surprise at Y/N, thinking there was something wrong happened. However, he quickly notices Y/N is asleep. Thor smiles at Y/N.
"You are adorable." Thor comments, admiring Y/N's beauty.
Thor grabs the popcorn from Y/N's lap and put it on his. He grabs a couple and eat it. Afterwards, he put his arm around Y/N. Then put his head against Y/N's. "I should consider asking Y/N for a romantic night out in the town."
Two hours later, the movie is done. Not only did Y/N fell asleep, but Thor eventually as well. Thor's head lays backwards against the chair while Y/N lay his body against the other side. Thor got multiple bits of popcorn around and on his body.
Steve wondered how Y/N is doing. He asked JARVIS where the transfer teammate is. Once he got the answer, he goes to the theater, where he sees Y/N sleeping next to Thor. Steve can't help but smile at Y/N. He's looking more peaceful asleep.
Steve grabs Y/N and lift him up. "Let's get you to bed." Steve walks out of the theater, leaving Thor alone. The super soldier arrives at Y/N's bedroom. He walks in and put Y/N in bed. Afterwards, he put the sheets above Y/N. Steve crouches down next to the sleeping man. "Tomorrow will be a better day. I make sure to protect you."

Next day, Y/N and Tony are sitting together at the living room. They are talking while taken sips of their drinks. "I hope the wound isn't causing you much trouble."
"It stings, but it doesn't bother me that much." Y/N responds.
"Glad to hear. Aside from the wound, how are you holding up?" Tony asks.
"Good, although it's different from the X-Men, I like it here. Everybody is fighting well. I really like to spar with everybody." Y/N answers.
"Glad to hear it." Tony smiles. "How are things back at the X-Men? What kind of people are there? Somebody special?"
"Well, Xavier is really kind and patient, wanting to help mutants with their gifts. Scott is a stern leader, but he's just worried about us. Logan-" Y/N begins to ramble.
Tony interrupts Y/N. "I mean it like is there somebody you fancy?"
Y/N looks surprise but let out a chuckle after a second. "Well, there are guys there I'm attracted to, but all of them are either straight or are in a relationship."
"And what about the guys here?" Tony raises a curious eyebrow. "Wait, don't tell me you fall in love with me." He teases.
"You wish." Y/N scoffs. "But there are two guys I wouldn't mind getting to know better."
"Spill the tea Y/N." Tony says.
"Well, if I got to be honest, I think Steve is really cute." Y/N admits.
Tony laughs. "Steve? Really? You can do better."
"But he's so handsome!" Y/N counters. "He's caring, strong, sma-"
"'Blah, blah, blah. Steve is the best, blah, blah, blah.'" Tony mocks Y/N, kidding of course, although he doesn't like Steve. "Who is the second guy?"
Y/N sighs at Tony's childish behavior. "Thor."
"Go for him." Tony says.
Y/N eyes went wide. "You really don't like Steve, huh?"
"Yep." Tony merely responds, shrugging his shoulders. "I don't want to get into an entire rant, so how about you talk about how much you love Mr. Thunder Abs."
Y/N chuckles in responds. "Well, he's also good looking. He's also a positive and jolly guy that can fight well."
"I'm starting to think you have a thing for blondes." Tony says back.
Y/N shows a smile. "Maybe, maybe not."
Out in the hallway, from sight of Y/N and Tony, Steve accidently heard everything. He was minding his own business till he hears Y/N confession, which made him blush. "Y/N thinks I'm cute?" He mutters to himself. He also realized what Y/N also said, which is that he also fancies Thor. Steve turns back and reflects about Y/N said.
Meanwhile, Thor was walking towards the living room, but stops in another hallway when he heard Y/N opinion about him. "Y/N is into me?" He asks to himself. He also realized Y/N's opinion on his friend, Steve. He walks away and thinks about it.

Steve and Thor both reflect about their feelings for Y/N. After some hours, they realized they like the idea to get to know Y/N better as something more than a friend. Both men got a plan to confess their love to their crush.
After a few hours later, they got another mission. Apparently, there were HYDRA agents left who manage to escape and camp out somewhere near the area. Luckily the team manage to defeat the group and apprehend them. After a short mission, the group got back. Y/N is tired thanks to the mission. He walks in the living room, where Steve and Thor are sitting on the couch. He sits down between them. Both Avengers look at him, somewhat concerned.
"Are you okay Y/N?" Thor asks to the person next to him.
"Just tired. I didn't sleep well today." Y/N answers with a yawn.
"You should rest." Steve suggests. "How about you take a nap?"
Y/N hums. He closes his eyes and lay his head against the couch's back. "Great idea. Laters." Immediately he went to sleep.
Steve and Thor look at the sleeping man, before looking back. Both of them know about their crush on Y/N. Tension begins to fill around the air. "Steve, I respect you, however I don't respect the fact you take a liking to Y/N."
"I could say the same to you." Steve says back. He looks back at Y/N for a second. "I don't want to argue with you in front of Y/N."
"Fine." Thor responds. He looks back at Y/N. "I'm going to take a nap as well. Have a goodnight." With that, Thor closes his eyes and lay down against Y/N.
Steve can't help but glare at Thor. He let out a tired sigh. "Thor Odinson, you really testing my buttons." He says quietly to himself. After a few seconds of silence, Steve begins to feel quiet as well. He looks at Y/N, and Thor who is against his crush. Steve feels jealous. "I can't believe I'm going to do this." Steve feels somewhat embarrassed to lay down against Y/N. He moves with his body to find a comfortable position. "Goodnight, Y/N."
