Never mind how things were on the film emperor’s end, after Lin Yiyi hung up on the phone, she saw four people all looking straight at her from the inside of the car.
When Lin Yiyi finally got inside of the car and started it up, Lu Xun, who was sitting in the passenger seat, stared at her so intently that he could almost burn a hole in her cheek.
He finally couldn’t hold back any longer and asked, “Is there something you’d like to share?”
Lin Yiyi gave him a look. She didn’t feel like talking.
Meng Yuran and Lu Mingzhe sat in the back seat, each of them sitting next to one of the windows.
One of them was on his cellphone with his ears perked up high and his little character kept dying in his game from his lack of focus. He and his father had already been cussed out by many text messages coming from Xu Jie and the others.
The other one of them rested his chin on his hand and looked out of the window. His attention, however, was definitely focused on the two adults in the front seats.
Meng Shanshan was the only one who had no idea what was going on as she looked from her mother to Uncle Lu and back to her mother.

And Lu Xun wasn’t the only one who heard it; the three children in the backseat heard it as well.
Lu Mingzhe wanted so badly to mock his little uncle. Now was not the time to be an idiot. He was so hopeless!

Lu Xun was so shocked that his eyeballs almost popped out of his sockets, “You mean you are not going to own up to it?”

At this moment in time, all Lu Mingzhe wanted to do was to facepalm himself.

Suddenly, his eyes beamed and he called out for her to come to an emergency stop!
Lin Yiyi had no idea what he was trying to do. She pulled over to the side of the road and the man hopped out of the car urgently.

She turned around and looked at the three children in the backseat.
Meng Yuran and Lu Mingzhe had been staring straight at the two of them for a long time just a moment ago, but now, one was playing on his cellphone and the other one was staring out of the window as though neither one of them had any idea what was going on, nor were they interested in the conversation.
It was only Meng Shanshan, who locked eyes with her. Blinking her big eyes, she looked baffled.
Lu Xun returned after quite a long while. He had a bag in his hand. And inside his bag, there were barbecue skewers.
Even from the backseat, the three children could smell the delectable smell of the food.
So, he jumped out of the car abruptly just to get food? That’s what went through the minds of the two boys sitting in the back. And Lin Yiyi’s as well.
He went from professing his fondness for her and all of a sudden, he decided to go buy barbeque skewers?! She found that unbelievable.
Lu Xun was looking very happy, perhaps because he was able to pick up some good food.
