I was woken up to the sound of my doorbell going off, I grabbed my phone and went to my ring app checking the camera to see that it was only Jazz. I seen that she was about to ring it again making me sigh and hit the mic "Please don't press it again, I'm coming" I spoke before seeing her scrunch her face up. If I wasn't in such a pissy mood I probably would've laughed at her confusion.
I sighed throwing my covers off my body as I slid out of the bed, I then slid into my slides and began to make my way downstairs to the front door. I had no reason to look out of the peep hole since I knew who it was, so I opened the door becoming face to face with Jazz.
"Good morning you cool?" She asked eyeing me as I stepped aside letting her step in, I nodded closing the door behind her and locking it back. "Yeah I'm cool, and good morning. Why are you here?" I asked watching as she walked over to my couch and sat down.
"To take you on a date." She shrugged before crossing her arms, I mentally face palmed "I have to go to work later." I responded making her raise her eyebrow "I'll bring you back in time, please?" She tilted her head at me, I shook my head. "I have to get my daughter today too" I told her hoping that she would get the hint, but she didn't.
I really didn't want to go because I would feel guilty for being on a date, when I was just folded like a pretzel last night by someone else.
She sucked her teeth making me roll my eyes "Fine then, where we going?" I asked rubbing my forehead, she smiled showing her grills and I kind of melted inside. I was huge on pretty smiles, they made me want to strip on sight.
"Um you hungry?" She asked and I nodded "Well out to eat" She shrugged making me chuckle "Okay, well let me go get dressed. I'm not dressed all up." I told her honestly and she nodded her head "that's fine with me." I gave her a small smile in response before making my way to my room.
Since I had taken a shower before I went back to sleep I decided to just get dressed, so I walked into my closet and found a quick outfit which was a green sweatsuit. I settled on that and quickly got dressed before pulling my hair up into a ponytail. When I finished everything else I needed to do I walked back downstairs and peeped Jazz asleep on my couch.
I sucked my teeth because I did not take that long, "Jazz!" I called out shaking her awake, it took a few seconds but she stirred in her sleep grabbing my hand "Girl get yo ass up off my couch!" I semi yelled making her eyes pop open, when she seen it was only me she sucked her teeth.
"Man my bad, but damn you look good." She mumbled eyeing me, I couldn't help but blush from the way she stared at me. "Thank you." I smiled for a quick second before quickly fixing my face and mugging her "Anywayy, come on I'm hungry" I told her making her chuckle and shake her head as she got up from the couch stretching.
"You wanna be mean so bad, Whole time I'm getting to you" I heard her say as I grabbed my purse and keys, I instantly scrunched my face up because she really wasn't and that's the funny part. "Whatever" I mumbled not wanting to hurt her feelings, I walked over to her letting her lead me out of the house and to her car.
Before I could open my door she pushed me back and opened it for me making me crack a smile "Thank you." I mumbled climbing in and she shut the door behind me, I rolled my eyes trying to bite back my smile as I put on my seatbelt. I seen her jog over to the drivers side and she got in starting the car putting her seat belt on as well.
"Anywhere specific you wanna go?" Jazz asked making me shrug "Nope surprise me" I responded and she nodded and pulled out of my driveway, I pulled out my phone and locked my front door and set my alarm before sliding my phone back into my purse listening to the music and relaxing the full way there.
Time Skip:
I sighed reading over my clipboard filled with my new patients information. "Tyquan Bowman? Emergency surgery." I mumbled aloud to myself as I began to walk towards the room I was assigned to not even four minutes ago.
"Okay.." I mumbled to myself as I walked into the room. I immediately spotted this dark skin guy with nappy hair laid on the bed groaning in pain. "Hey, I'm your surgeon-" I was cut off by the door bursting open and some girl appeared slamming the door shut behind her. "Fuck, my bad. Sorry I'm late." She mumbled tiredly as she panted slumping over a bit placing her hands on her knees.
"It's fine, I was just about to take him and get started so you really came right in time. You can just wait in here." I told her and she nodded in confusion "I can't go in the back with him?" She asked and I shook my head no.
She didn't put up an argument which I silently thanked her before mentioning for my assistants to roll him out which they did with me following behind them. "Wait, Keyonna?" I heard the girl say making me double take and I instantly realized that it was none other than Riley, I sucked my teeth a bit bothered that I didn't realize it was her because I was barely glancing at her.
"Yes?" I asked making her sigh, before letting out another shaky breath "Will my brother be okay?" She asked and I mentally face palmed not really knowing the answer to that, the man was shot 7 times for fucks sake. I sighed "Y-yeah, look I'll be back just stay here" I told her and she nodded, I turned and walked out going towards the back where they took Tyquan.

"Is he okay?" I asked pacing back and forth as Keyonna sat in her spinal chair staring at me, she nodded her head pursing her lips. "Yes, he's fine. I promise" She responded making me let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, "Look.. come here" I heard her say, I stopped in my tracks and turned to her raising my eyebrow.
I had been left in the waiting room for hours, worried like hell about my older brother. I knew he was heavily involved in the streets but I dreaded the day that this came.. Keyonna came back out to get me lol 15 minutes ago and lead me to her personal office where we are now. I guess she was attempting to calm me down, and it was working.
Without another thought, I walked over to the older female and only stopped when I stood between her legs looking down at her. She took this as her chance to wrap her arms around my waist puckering her lips "Girl you brought me back her because you want a kiss?" I asked sucking my teeth playfully as if I was aggravated or annoyed, she nodded making me chuckle.
"I really want more than a kiss but I'm at work" She sighed making me shake my head with a small smile of amusement "You're always horny or sleepy, never in between" I mumbled making her shrug "Mane so what? Deal with it or move around" She snapped pushing me away from her, I rolled my eyes before stepping back between her legs.
I then leaned down grabbing a hold of her face as I placed multiple kisses on her lips until she smiled, I took it upon myself to place kisses all over her face repeatedly until she laughed and blushed pushing me away. "Happy?" I asked making her nod covering her face, "What time you get off?" I asked hopping up onto the patients bed, "Later on at like 11" she shrugged making me suck my teeth.
She looked overly good in her scrubs and I wanted her out of them the more I stared at her.
"When do you go on break?" I asked noticing her phone on the side of me, she was looking at her computer and I don't think she really noticed. "Um in the minute, why?" She asked as I picked her phone up looking at her Lock Screen. It was a picture of her and Keyonni which was cute, just as I was about to sit it down a text notification came through.
I furrowed my eyebrows at the name before reading the notification.

I sucked my teeth making Keyonna turn around and look at me, when she seen her phone was in my hand she immediately looked worried "What?" She asked as I sat it back down shaking my head "You let somebody take you on a date?" I asked and she slowly nodded her head yes "Oh. When?" I asked making her shrug "Earlier today." She mumbled and I nodded.
"Why you going on dates?" I asked making her scrunch her face up. "Because I'm single.. what kinda question is that?" She asked mugging me, I mugged her back "Oh you single?" I asked already knowing the answer, she nodded her head "Yep, very much." She responded popping the p.
I knew she was single, but hearing her say it and throw it in my face just pissed me off. "Then what are we?" I asked raising my eyebrow "Sneaky links" She responded making me suck my teeth, "Oh.. well meet me in the parking lot when you go on break." I told her and she hesitated before nodding "Um okay?" She reluctantly agreed.
I nodded before hopping down off the bed and walking out of the room. I had no right to feel any type of way about her going on a date but I did, I was about to fuck her good again and make her forget all about that lil date.
I was going to make sure she knows that she's mine even though she isn't, I was even about to plan a whole date afterwards. I refused to let Keyonna slip through my hands.
I sighed walking out of the lobby doors and to my car, man I hated hospitals. Ima fuck Quando's black ass up when he gets out of here.
