The five girls sat in the theater, Hanna had a scared expression on her face as she ate the buttery popcorn Katherine had gotten.

"Seriously? You think Jason's hiding him in that house?" Aria asked, as they were the only ones watching the black and white movie.

"It's a stupid idea." Katherine said, rolling her eyes as she took a piece of popcorn from the bucket.

"Why would he? Ian killed his sister. That doesn't make sense." Emily said.

"Exactly." Katherine said, glad that someone else thought that Spencer's mind was going a little too crazy.

"Look, I didn't say I was positive.I'm just telling you guys Melissa is sneaking out to meet Ian. On foot." Spencer said, not taking her eyes off of the screen.

"Okay, your sister needs one of those dog collars. You know that ones that zap your ass whenever you leave the property." Hanna said, eating popcorn as she talked.

"Hanna." Aria said.

"It's not just that. Her phone rings and she still leaves the room to answer it. I mean what's up with that?" Spencer said.

"And? I do that when I'm near my mom." Katherine said.

"Okay but that's your mom, Kat. Melissa's acting weird." Spencer said.

"I still don't know why Jason would help him. Didn't he call Ian a phony jerk?" Emily said.

"Yeah, I mean, when did that change?" Aria said.

"Okay, it's Jason, you guys. Who knows what to believe?" Spencer said.

Katherine desperately wanted to say herself, she wanted to say that she knew Jason. That he would never invite Ian into his house after what he had done. But she couldn't. Jason wasn't hers, hadn't been for a while. And truth was, she didn't know him anymore.

"He was wasted the whole summer Ali disappeared. He'd probably take that guy in for a six pack." Spencer said.

Katherine wanted to scream how untrue that was. She wanted to tell them about all of her special moments with the blonde boy. How caring he was. How fucking real he was.

"I heard he's sober now." Katherine said, being careful with her words as she tried her best to defend the older boy.

"Yeah, I thought Jason told you he was clean and sober now." Emily said to Spencer.

"Emily, I've had like three conversations with him. I never asked them for a urine sample." Spencer said.

"Okay. Gagging now." Hanna said.

"So, how are we supposed to keep 24/7 tabs on Melissa when we're not even allowed in your house?" Aria asked.

"Katherine is. And Melissa likes Katherine." Emily said.

"Guys." Spencer said, looking behind them, not taking her eyes off of the hooded figure in the back. They all turned to see what the brunette was looking at but there was nothing there by the time they looked.

"What did you see?" Hanna asked.

The screen went white and started to glitch, making them focus to the front and not the back where the hooded figure had returned, this time closer.

They all turned and saw the stranger, all breathing heavily in fear by everything happening around them.

"Let's go." Spencer said quickly, as they all hurried up from their seats.

"No, I can't find my other shoe!" Hanna yelled, fear taking over her as she was nearing a full on panic attack.

"Ian. Is that?" Aria said, as the hooded figure was now in the front with a bright flashlight.

"Yes!" Hanna said as they all screamed as the person jumped for them.

Spencer woke up, not even having a second to freak out over her dream, from Melissa with a flashlight and searching around her sleeping body. Clearly looking for something.

"What's going on? What are you doing?" Spencer asked.

"Looking for my ring. Would you mind getting up?" Melissa said, not stopping her search in the couch.

"What ring?" Spencer asked, half asleep.

"My wedding ring." Melissa said.

"Why would you take it off?" Spencer asked, sitting up.

"It was cutting off my circulation. One of the perks of pregnancy. None of your shoes fit and your fingers turn into sausages." Melissa said.

"Do you want me to get that?" Spencer asked, noticing Melissa's phone vibrating on the coffee table. "Your phone is buzzing. Do you want me to get it?" She said, reaching for the phone.

"Keep looking, would you?" Melissa said, stopping Spencer before she could reach the phone. She picked it up and answered, leaving the room as she did. "Hey, I'm not alone. Let me get upstairs, okay?" She said quietly, walking towards the stairs.

Spencer quickly followed behind, trying her hardest to hear what Melissa was saying.

...

Emily washed her hands as the only other girl in the bathroom walked out.

"We gotta find a better place to do this." Aria said, as her and the other three girls all walked out of the stalls. "Somewhere preferably with a fan."

"Good luck. We're gonna have to dig a tunnel under the school." Emily said.

"Yeah, not with those hands. You need some serious moisturizer" Hanna said.

"It's bad." Emily said.

"Look, won't your mom be impressed this scout even took the time to write?" Aria asked.

"Here, use this. It costs more than my purse." Hanna said, still on about the moisturizer.

"Guys, it's a maybe letter. My mom needs to see something real, something that says, let her stay in rosewood. We want her. Don't take her to Texas." Emily said.

"Em, there are other colleges." Aria said.

"Yeah, other scouts will want you." Spencer said.

"When? My mom's already packed up the whole kitchen. She keeps telling me how much I'm gonna like the whole rodeo."

"Move in with me." Katherine said. "Tell your mom that my mom is cool with it."

"I love you, Kat, but my mom would never let me stay in that house. She doesn't even like when I'm there for longer than a second." Emily said, not wanting to repeat the crude things her own mother had said about Katherine's mom.

"Let's just do this later." Aria said, as they heard people talking from outside of the bathroom.

"What about after school?" Hanna asked.

"I can't today. I've got field hockey." Spencer said.

"I'm getting drinks with Noel and Eric." Katherine said.

"I have swim practice." Emily said.

"I'm starting my class at Hollis." Aria said.

"Is Jackie gonna be teaching it?" Spencer asked, after they all looked at each other for a moment.

"No, no. This is not about stalking. If Ezra says it's over between them, I believe him." Aria said.

"So, what? You're just gonna hang around campus with binoculars?" Hanna asked, making Katherine cover her mouth as she tried and failed to hide a laugh.

"I'm following our therapist's orders on having separate time, okay?" Aria said, walking over to the mirror as she fixed her hair. "It's an extension course. If I happen to bump into Ezra, that's just a bonus."

"Oh, nice bonus." Spencer said.

"Yeah, great. Everyone's got a life except for me." Hanna said.

"Come out with me and the Kahn brothers." Katherine said, smirking as she fixed her lip gloss in the mirror next to Aria.

"Right and hang out with Noel willingly? I'll pass." Hanna said.

"Your loss." Katherine shrugged, taking a bottle out of her bag and swallowing one of the little pills dry.

"What was that?" Emily asked, having never seen it before.

"Just aspirin. My head hurts and it helps make everything better in the morning." Katherine said, showing the group the small bottle that was clearly labeled as aspirin.

"I thought you were gonna go to the mall with Mona." Aria said, turning to face the blonde.

"Stealing moisturizer is not a life. It's a hobby. It's getting really boring." Hanna said.

"While you're at it, steal me some nice hair products." Katherine said, giving her blonde friend a wink.

"You stole this?" Spencer asked, grabbing the bottle from Hanna's hand.

"So? I stole this." Katherine said, holding her little bottle of pills up.

"No, it's a sample. Start talking to the real thief over there." Hanna said, taking her moisturizer back and nodding her head towards Katherine.

Spencer quickly walked out as another girl walked in and the other three went straight to stalls while Emily went back to the sink.

...

As soon as Katherine and Noel walked out of the high school they were met with Eric's sports car in the parking lot. The top was down, giving them a clear sight of him and the cigarette in between his lips.

"Noel, you're in the back." Eric said, eyeing the pretty brunette up and down.

Eric and Katherine had hooked many times, but he still fucking fell in love every time he saw her.

"What?" Noel asked, as Katherine smirked and got into the passenger seat, Eric's hand immediately finding her thigh.

"Get in the back, bitch." Katherine said, plugging her phone in, Taylor Swift playing through the speakers.

"Fine." Noel said, rolling his eyes and climbing into the backseat.

"What are we drinking tonight?" Eric asked.

"We could go to Danny's? They don't card there." Katherine said.

"Danny's it is." Eric said, revving the engine as he pulled out of the parking lot.

...

Katherine was wasted. After hours of drinking with the brothers, Noel had gotten her an uber home. She was about to go inside when she saw a light on across the street and decided to stumble over to the DiLaurentis house. She knocked on the door, all nerves out of her system from the many drinks she had had.

"Kat? What are you doing here?" Jason asked, opening the door, shocked as the brunette pushed the door all the way open and managed to get inside. "How much did you drink?"

"Too much." Katherine said, pulling out the flask she had taken from Eric's car and drinking even more.

"That's enough." Jason said, taking the silver flask away from the girl.

"J, let me drink." Katherine whined, pouting as she looked up at the blonde boy. Her eyes going straight to his lips that she wanted to kiss so bad.

"J?" Jason questioned, having not heard the nickname since they had dated.

"Like my necklace." Katherine slurred out, grabbing onto Jason's arms for support.

"I can't believe you still wear that." Jason said, staring at the diamond covered letter on her neck. The letter that, unknown to most, claimed her as his.

She never knew this but he had a watch that he kept on his wrist all the time, on the watch was a K. It was hard to see but it was there.

"Why wouldn't I wear it? It's from you." Katherine said, as if that held any significance. If anything, she should've thrown it out because it was from him.

"You should go home and get some sleep. You're gonna have a killer hangover in the morning." Jason said, putting a little bit of space between them as they had been getting closer with every word.

"I don't wanna." Katherine said, walking closer so there was no space once again.

"You need to." Jason said.

"No, I don't." Katherine said, boldly taking her hands off of Jason's arms and instead wrapping her arms around his neck.

He stood still as the familiar action gave him butterflies.

"You're drunk." Jason said, looking down at her.

That was his first mistake.

"Not drunk enough." Katherine said, looking up at him.

"I think you are." He said, his voice quieter, and his hands holding her waist to keep her steady.

That was his second mistake.

Katherine didn't hesitate to bring her lips to his, surprising the older boy. He wanted to fall into her trance, never unlock their lips. But he had to. She was drunk and he refused to take advantage of her.

So, he pulled away from her.

...

Katherine and Spencer were walking through Spencer's yard towards Jason's. As much as Katherine wished she could forget, she remembered everything from her trip at Jason's. She remembered inviting herself in. She remembered him asking about her J necklace. She remembered kissing him. But she also remembered him pulling away not even a second after, completely rejecting her.

Jason DiLaurentis had officially rejected the brunette and that terrified her.

Spencer stepped on a branch making Katherine wince, she knew they were done for.

"Who's that? Melissa?" Jason called out.

Katherine felt a twinge of jealousy that he would think it was Melissa. Why not her?

"No, hi." Spencer said, emerging from the trees with Katherine right behind her. "It's Spencer and Katherine."

"Hi." Jason said, his voice void of any emotion.

"Why would you think that we were Melissa? Has she been coming over a lot?" Spencer asked, voicing Katherine's inner thoughts.

"Yeah, you seeing her or something?" Katherine said, her voice bitter as the words slipped off her tongue.

"She came by a couple times. Mailman keeps giving you guys my stuff." Jason said, ignoring Katherine's words.

"Right." Katherine mumbled under her breath, struggling to keep her eyes off of the blonde boy.

"I'm gonna grab a drink. You want something, Toby?" Jason said, wanting to get out of all the tension in the air.

"I'm okay." Toby said, facing Spencer.

"You?" Jason asked Spencer, his eyes falling onto his ex girlfriend next to her instead of the girl he was actually talking to.

"Get me a lemonade?" Katherine cut in, her brown eyes meeting Jason's green ones.

"Yeah." Jason nodded, clearing his throat and heading inside the house to get the two drinks.

"Actually, Jason?" Katherine called out, making him stop and turn around on the steps. "Can I help get the lemonade? Toby and Spencer might want to talk."

"Yeah." Jason said, swallowing as his eyes lingered on her neck with the J on it for too long.

Katherine squeezed Spencer's arm goodbye and followed the older blonde into the house.

"You still like your lemonade with a splash of tea?" Jason asked, getting the pitcher out of the fridge.

"You don't like lemonade." Katherine said, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

"What? You wanted lemonade." Jason said, confused on what the younger girl was on about.

"You have it in your fridge but you hate lemonade. You hate anything that remotely tastes like lemons." Katherine said.

"Oh. I just thought that maybe since you'd come by a few times, you'd come by more. So I made you lemonade. It's your favorite." Jason said, his hands gripping the counter tightly as her watched the brunette's face for her reaction.

"Thank you." Katherine said, smiling at him.

"Of course, Kat." Jason said, pulling her into a hug.

"What are you doing?" Katherine asked, keeping her arms wrapped around his waist.

"We both needed this." Jason said, pecking her forehead before letting go and pouring her lemonade with a small splash of sweet tea.

"Yeah, we did." Katherine said, watching as he grabbed himself a water bottle and this weeks trash before leading them back outside.

"I'd invite you guys inside, but the place is kinda crazy." Jason said, throwing the trash bag into the pile of bags on the end of the driveway.

Spencer and Toby didn't have a moment to think about the fact that he had let Katherine in, before noticing the bloody tissues that had fallen out.

Katherine's eyes widened as she knew they were what she used to clean up her hand.

"Cut myself." Jason said, moving to quickly get them back into the bag.

...

"So, who's Anita?" Hanna asked.

"No one. I was. I was Anita." Aria said.

"You made a fake name to trick a blind girl?" Katherine asked, a smirk on her face.

"Don't even start with that, Kat. Weren't you Dani one time?" Hanna said.

"Whatever." Katherine said, focusing her attention back on Aria.

"I didn't want Jenna to know I was there." Aria said.

"Well, yeah, but she did know." Hanna said.

"State the obvious, Han." Katherine said.

"Only after I said something." Aria said.

"Well, that was stupid of you." Katherine said.

"Well, I had to." Aria said, defending herself. "I thought it was safe."

"No, Anita was safe. Aria is not." Spencer said, standing by her window as she looked out of it.

"I feel like I just made things worse." Aria said.

"Because you did." Katherine said.

"Kat!" Spencer said, giving her a look as if to stop.

"If Jenna is A, I totally rattled her cage." Aria said.

"She's on the move." Spencer said, spotting Melissa.

"I'm ready." Hanna said.

"Let's do it." Aria said.

"I really hope I wasn't wrong about Melissa, too." Katherine said, following the other three.

The four girls hurried out of the gate after Melissa, making sure to stay close but not too close.

"Is it him? Is it Ian?" Hanna said as they watched the car Melissa was about to get into.

"I can't tell." Spencer said.

"I don't think it is." Katherine said, the outline looking nothing like Ian's to her.

"Of course it's him, but whose car is that?" Aria said.

"Wait, that's not Ian." Hanna said, as the man got out of the front seat.

"Holy shit, that's Wren." Katherine said.

"Wren?" Spencer asked.

"He's in on this too?" Aria asked.

"No way." Katherine said, watching the pair outside of the car.

"What's he giving her?" Spencer said, as Melissa's ex fiancé handed Melissa a small bag."Probably painkillers."

"Melissa does drugs?" Hanna asked, her eyes widening.

"No, not for her. For Ian. You fall off a bell tower, you're gonna need more than an ice pack." Spencer said.

"We really think he's alive?" Katherine asked, worry flooding her system.

"Yes." All three girls said at once.

"Wow, only Melissa could ask the guy she dumped to help the murderer she married." Hanna said.

"In Melissa's defense, Wren did cheat on her." Katherine said.

They gasped and ducked down as the pair looked towards the bushes, slightly hearing Hanna's voice.

They watched Melissa go through the brown paper bag as Wren drove away.
