Firstly, let me just say, this might turn out to be a disaster or a very bad idea. Who knows? I don't.
If you normally read my books, you'll know I usually have chapters of a certain length, a consistent update schedule, and I have a good understanding of where my plot is going.
None of those things are true of this book.
If you're reading Before Thirty, you know I was feeling burnt out, so this is my solution to take the pressure off (and I will still be writing Before Thirty, it'll just be sllooowww).
I might update this book a lot. Maybe only once in a while. Chapters might be 2000+ words or they might be 500. I'm giving myself permission to not worry about any of it. I'm writing this purely for fun and enjoyment. You might only get Emmerson and Aidan's POV, or you might get everyone's POV depending on what I want to write. It's all an experiment of epic proportions.
Maybe we'll all get to the end, and you'll be like -- "Wendy, this made no sense." But hopefully that'll be followed by, "But it was a hell of a lot of fun."
What I know so far: Aidan, who is not human, is obsessed with Emmerson, who is. There are a host of reasons the two of them can't be together (many of which are laid out in the opening chapter). I would not classify this book as a traditional romance but more of a soap opera. You've been warned.
Expect cliffhangers and dangling plot threads and a whole truck load of angst. Oh, the delicious, delicious pining. If that's your jam, climb aboard!
It's so wrong, it's right. Amiright?
