Andy’s Pov
“Senna…. Are you seriously saying that… you don’t remember me?” he asked, trying to swallow the lump in his throat.
“Listen dude, I have no idea of who the hell you are but I would appreciate it if you would just go away and leave me alone. Also, do you have any idea of where Alex is?”
“Alex?”
“Ya know, Alex Gaskarth, my boyfriend. If you don’t then just leave.”
Yup, that pain in his chest was probably his heart being stepped on by a proverbial boot, “O-okay… if that’s what you want…” Getting up he turned to walk out when he suddenly remembered that he had her phone, “Oh here, I think you might want this back.” And handed her the phone.
“How the hell did you get this?”
“I’m the one who brought you to the hospital when you passed out.”
She gazed at him and regarded him with a new look in her eye, “You really… brought me here?” She asked softly.
“Yes, I wasn’t about to leave you to die. The doctors said that if I hadn’t gotten you to the hospital then you would’ve died.”
“Thank you… uh… I’m so sorry but I just don’t remember your name, what is it again?”
“Andrew, Andrew Biersack. You can call me Andy though.”
“Oh… where did we meet?”
“What can you last remember?”
Senna motioned for him to come over and sit down on her bedside before thinking but shaking her head, “I… I don’t know. I mean I can tell that I’ve met you before but… I can’t remember anything about you.”
“Well… to tell you the truth we kinda have a lot of history. In fact you and I were going to be married.”
“You say ‘were’, what happened?”
Andy shook his head before getting up, “Listen I think you should probably rest and get your feet under you. Uh, I’ll… be back later.” He finished lamely and swiftly exited the room before she even had a chance to reply.
Walking out toward the front waiting room he passed through there and came to stop just in front of the front doors. As per usual there was gallons of rain pouring down outside and the wind howled like banshees eager to be released out of hell. However Andy didn’t even care. Pulling out his phone he called the only person he could think of at the moment, his mom.
“Hello?”
“M-mom.” Andy choked out, his throat trying to close up on him.
“Andy sweetheart, what’s wrong? Is everything alright? I saw that Senna was in the hospital, is this what that’s about? Are you worried about her?”
“N-no mom, Senna’s… Senna’s fine but… she…”
“Andrew what’s the matter? Just state it plainly.”
“She remembers Alex but not me. She has no memory of anything about me…”
“Oh honey, I’m so sorry! Do you think that you can help her to get her memory back?”
“I don’t know… she thinks only of Alex and believes that they’re dating. It’s almost like her brain has kept her memories of me but transplanted Alex where I should be in those memories. I mean it’s like she thinks Alex was the guy in all of her memories instead of me.”
“Oh Andy, I’m so sorry. Perhaps time will be the cure for this. Besides I doubt that Alex will take advantage of her being out of this like that.”
“I just… mommy I… don’t know what to do. I feel just so alone in this and it’s like the world is just against me.”
“Oh sweetheart, I know that you feel that way but I can honestly tell you that the world is not against you. It seems hard now but if you just work at it and take some time then it may pay off in the end.”
“I hope your right.”
“I am, I’m your mother. Now go on in there and try and get her to remember you.”
“Okay, thanks mom.”
“It’s okay, that’s what I’m here for. Love you sweetheart.”
“Love you too mom, bye.”
“Bye.”
Clicking off the call, Andy slid his phone back into his back pocket and just stood there looking out at the rain beating down against everything outside. Andy felt as though he just wanted to run, run away from this hospital, run away from this problem, run away from the world. However that wasn’t something that he could do. He couldn’t just run away from this and not feel regret for the rest of his life. He needed to at least try and if Senna just couldn’t remember him then he would honor their bet and just leave her alone.
Thinking back he realized that two months had already gone by which meant they had five more months before the end of the bet. That was going to be a long five months. Taking a deep breath he turned and began to walk back toward Senna’s room. Walking into the room he looked up to see Alex there on Senna’s bed, his face attached to hers. Never before had Andy been more pissed than now.
Alex’s Pov
How Alex had gotten to the hospital he didn’t exactly know but what he did know was that his arm hurt like hell. “Alright mister Gaskarth your arm has been put back into socket and bandaged. Now we would say that you’re free to leave but with the weather being like it is there is no way that we can take you back or risk anyone to come and get you.” The doctor said. Alex nodded and then sat up from the examining table.
Sliding gently back into his shirt with the help of a doctor, Alex got to his feet and was told that he could just go and get something from the cafeteria if he wanted it. Nodding to the tired looking doctor, Alex walked out of the door and down the hallway. Walking down the corridor he looked into the open room and stopped short when he saw a familiar face.
“Senna!” He said excitedly and made his way into her room. The mentioned girl turned and looked over at him. Oh how he’d missed seeing those wonderful and big eyes of hers looking at him. Or perhaps it was the small smile she had or even the way there was a small sparkle in her eyes. He had no idea but he sure was glad to see that she was alright.
“Alex!” She yelled excitedly and held out her arms for a hug.
Chuckling to himself, Alex immediately embraced her tightly. God he’d missed this. “How are feeling beautiful?”
“Just fine handsome.”
“Oooh, flirting back now eh? I knew you’d succumb to all of my manly charm sooner or later.” Alex said while gesturing to all of him.
“Well of course.” She giggled before leaning in and catching his lips with her own in a sweet kiss.
Now, Alex had no idea of why she was kissing him but he wasn’t about to pass up the opportunity. Kissing back he wound a hand through her hair and then to the back of her neck. Applying a bit of pressure to the back of her neck he made sure that she was staying nice and close to him. Giggling slightly she broke apart only for a bit of air before their lips were connected once more.
This was a feeling that Alex could get used to, just kissing this beautiful woman and not having her smack him in the face. Yeah, this was the most amazing moment of this entire week. It was probably better than what their date would have been like. However just as he was about to deepen the kiss he was yanked off of her and tossed onto the ground. “Alex!” Senna yelled in surprise at the sudden departure of his face from hers.
Alex was about to cuss out whoever did that but before he had the chance he was yanked to his feet and pulled out of the room. Finally once they were out into the hallway and a little ways away from Senna’s room was he let go and slammed into a wall. Looking up he saw none other than Andrew fucking Biersack. Great.
“What the hell man?” Alex snapped.
“What the hell? Dude she doesn’t remember anything! In fact she doesn’t remember me at all and thinks that you’re her boyfriend!”
“And this is a problem how?”
“It’s a problem because you know that she doesn’t truly love you, what she remembers is all a lie and you know that!”
Alex felt anger bubble up inside of him at that comment; this guy just didn’t get it! “It doesn’t matter! You saw how she reacts to me now leave me alone! Just because she doesn’t remember you doesn’t mean that I have to sabotage my chances with her!”
“Alex I’m trying to help you out here. Let’s say you keep up this charade that she loves you and she eventually remembers everything and her memories are put back together. She is going to know that you lied to her and whatever chances you really had with her are going to be gone. If you go along with this then you’re just damming yourself.”
“Why are you even caring? It’s obvious that we’re both going for the same girl so why are you trying to help me?”
Andy just gave him a look, “Because I love Senna. I have and always will love her. I know that she also likes you at least a little and I don’t want her to be upset if she remember and comes to find out that one of her closer guy friends way lying to her. You’re right, I really don’t like you but at the same time I tolerate you because of Senna, she’s the one I’m trying to look out for here.”
“Yeah well you said a very magical little word in your lovely speech and that was ‘if’. And if her memories are as jumbled as you say they are then I have very little to worry about.”
“You know what, fine, do what you like but don’t start bitching when everything comes back on you. And I swear if she gets hurt I’ll destroy that face of yours.” With that Andy turned on his heel and stalked off toward Senna’s room.
Alex watched Andy go and vaguely wondered why the hell he was going to visit Senna. Obviously she didn’t remember him and there was nothing that he could do about that so why was he even bothering to go and talk to her?
Quietly tiptoeing down the very noisy hallway he stood just outside her door and was actually rooted to the spot. In a way Alex’s higher self knew that Andy was right and that there were going to be huge repercussions if she did remember. He knew that he should tell her that everything she remembered was wrong but could he bring himself to do it? Alex had waited for so long to get this chance of a lifetime. In fact it was almost like the heavens were on his side on this one.
Yet at the same time if Senna did find out that he had lied to her for so long then their relationship would ultimately be messed up as well. He knew all about what Taylor York did to Senna and he wasn’t about to go down that road. Still, he wasn’t technically doing what Taylor did, he didn’t want to cheat on her but rather be with her. In those circumstances she wouldn’t be angry, would she?
Andy’s Pov
“So exactly how do I know you again Anthony?”
Andy had to resist groaning in frustration, “I told you, you and I were involved and you decided to make a bet with me to see if we still belonged together. Also, again, my name is Andy.”
Senna blinked up at him, “Oh… uh… sorry,” She said lamely, “… you said that we were going to get married. Uh… did I… did I call that bet to get out of marrying you?” She asked.
“No, I was too stupid and worried that you would leave me and I tried to hold on to you tighter. Unfortunately the tighter I held on the more you pulled away. Before I knew what was happening, you were gone and I was suddenly watching you with Alex.”
Senna shook her head in disbelief, “Okay now I know that you’re lying! Alex was the one who picked me up off of the floor and put me back together after Taylor left me high and dry. Alex helped me realize my love for music and that I didn’t have to do what my parents always wanted me to. Most importantly he made me realize that love does actually exist and that happily ever afters do exist. I love Alex.”
Andy wanted to scream in frustration at her, “Senna that was all me! I was the one who rescued you that night at our concert in Florida! I was the one who got you into your love for music, and for the love of god I managed to win our original bet and showed you that happily ever afters did exist. Senna that was all me and you and you didn’t even know Alex until you met him several months ago! Senna please, please, please just remember.”
Looking down he was about to just make his escape again when a gentle hand was placed underneath his chin, causing him to look up, “Please just stop. I know what I remember and I know who the hell I’m in love with. While I will never love you, I would like to be friends. Can we do that?” She asked.
Andy felt his heart just break, “I… I guess…” He gulped.
She smiled at him and then allowed him to leave if he so wished. Getting up and stalking out of the room he brushed past Alex harshly and just sat in the waiting room once more. Yes he still loved Senna but there was nothing more he could do at the moment. There was nothing more he would do at the moment. Looking outside he noticed that the rain had pretty much slackened to where people were leaving now. Sighing he decided to make a tactical move and just leave. He knew that Alex would take her back and he, himself, would find a ride on his own. Better yet he needed good ole’ Ash at the moment. If anyone knew how to take his mind off of this it was Ashley.
Taking out his phone he called up his band mate and then waited the short fifteen minutes for Ashley to arrive. Rushing out of the hospital he made it into the car and Ashley drove off to find the nearest bar. Of course they couldn’t get too smashed yet because this was their last day in Ohio and Andy still needed to talk to Chance and Val.
No words were spoken between Ash and Andy but that was just fine by him. Parking in the parking lot of a bar nearest the venue they both walked into the place and sat down. Immediately they were served up a few shorts which they gratefully downed. “So, wanna take it from the top?” Ash eventually asked after they had their fourth round of shots. Andy didn’t really want to but he knew that he needed to. However the one thing he kept thinking about was if only she knew what Alex was about to do to her, what was probably doing to her. If only she knew…
Senna’s Pov
I watched as… Anthony? No uh… Andy! That was his name! I watched Andy leave the room and then a few seconds later Alex came into the room. He had a goofy grin plastered on his face as he jumped onto my bed and caught my face in a kiss. Smiling slightly I kissed him back with just as much passion as he had. Breaking apart he put his hand onto the back of my neck and rested our foreheads together. “I was so worried about you.” He whispered.
Snuggling into the crook of his neck I wondered briefly about what Anthony-Andy- was telling me before. Was it really true about everything he was saying? I mean something inside of me was telling me that Anth-Andy- was telling me the truth but all of my memories were of Alex. I had no idea of what to believe because in all honesty everything was just kind of confusing at the moment.
“Hey, are you alright?” Alex asked as he pulled away and looked at me.
I nodded my head, “Yeah I’m just a little tired.”
“Oh okay, then perhaps you should sleep, do you want me to go?”
“Only if you want to.”
Lying down I closed my eyes and felt Alex curl around me like I remembered he used to do. Shaking off whatever feelings were rattling around inside of me I relaxed and went to sleep. Yet deep down I still had one thought, What was it that I didn’t know?
