I despise talking to the cops. No one at my party was hurt and no one was caught.
It messed Ella up pretty bad tho.
She told me she got scared when someone opened the door, so she locked herself around me and a guy came in with a gun with a laser getting ready to shoot.
The guy that got shot died, and it was seen as self-defense so there will be no charges. Even if there were charges brought up I told them I shot him, and Ella wasn't part of it.
She's not going to be locked up because of me.
Holding onto her she rests her head on my chest and I kiss the top of her head, "don't worry about any of this. I got you, and I got a place for us to sleep if you don't want to go back to your parents for tonight," I tell her and she looks up at me, "thank you, King," she says sounding way more relaxed than she was before.
I should be thanking her for saving my life.
"You don't need to thank me," I lean down pressing my lips against hers, and then pull away saying, "you're safe with me and everything will make sense soon."
"King," someone calls out for me and I pull away opening the car door for her, she gets inside and I turn around to see my brother, "what the fuck do you want?"
I told him to be on the lookout for shit to happen like this, he was supposed to monitor who entered, and once the person we're supposed to takedown entered he was supposed to take him to the back.
No one knows he and I are brothers even though it's obvious, so we use that to our advantage.
Him taking him to the back of the house would've worked because it was a van to take him to get confirmation out about who his leader is, but clearly, that didn't work.
"I know I messed up, but listen I have a new plan. It's better and I did find information on him, he just got away," he whispers like it's someone we don't know is around- the cops left.
"What is it and hurry, I have to take her somewhere to lay down," I throw my hand in the air before rubbing my eye knowing damn well I'm tired too.
My brother looks at me irritated saying, "you were all about business until you met that girl. Don't be stupid," he points in my face and I grab his finger, "she's a friend, I don't fall weak for no one, so don't ever speak to me like that again."
I release his finger harshly and gets inside my car. Ella has her head leaned on the window asleep, I place my hand on her thigh, and look at her sleeping face for a second before driving away.
I understand my brother's frustration, but he needs to trust me when it comes to this type of stuff. Ella and I are strictly friends with benefits and I look after her because no one else does.
Even if I did like Ella in romantic ways I wouldn't let it get in the way of my family's legacy.

"Here are my keys," I hand Ella my car keys while in my office and reach in my pocket before handing her money, "and here is 50 dollars, go get some food."
She gives me a quick kiss before walking off happily, I stare at her ass moving in her grey jumpsuit, "god damn."
I should've grabbed it before she walked off.
Turning away I walk to my desk, and sits down, my brother walks in as soon as I sat down and he closes the door, "can we talk now?"
Nodding my head he walks over to me and sits across, "so the guy's name is Miro, he's the face protecting the culprit(s)," he has a book in his hand and shows me a picture of him.
In the photo, he had a prison jumpsuit on, "what was he in prison for," I ask.
Liam flips over a few pages and points to them.
Attempted murder and battery.
"He was only in there for a year, he just got out and immediately went for us. That's why everything happened as soon as we moved to Texas," my brother closes the book and I lean back in my seat letting him continue, "and I know his weakness."
"Enlighten me," I say with a sigh knowing he's about to say some bullshit.
"He likes younger girls and is trying to hire an assistant at his firm," he informs.
"Immediately, no, we are not using younger girls' lives to get information on this motherfucker," I sit up in my seat knowing this is going to end in a massive fight.
"We won't be risking any random girl's life, we would use a girl that looks younger, and we will make sure she is protected," I would much rather use some random girl than a woman that works under me.
"I'm the women that work here protection. I'm not risking their lives for some silly information we can get ourselves, just hack their servers and do what you gotta do," his face turns ghost white when I said that, and he drags his eyes away from mine slowly closing his laptop that's sitting on his lap.
"Well there's one problem with that Mr. know-it-all," taking in one sharp breath I let it out loudly, "their servers are locked shut. And I asked all of the women in the building and they turned down the job, but your girlfriend hasn't been asked yet," he continues.
"She's not my girlfriend and she isn't doing that shit," I respond standing up from my desk and walking over to the metal file holder in the corner of my office.
"If she isn't your girlfriend how do you know who I'm talking about," Liam asks raising an eyebrow, and I open the second one taking out Ella's contract and walking over and slamming it in front of him.
"Her contract is different from the others, she doesn't know that, but she isn't allowed to do jobs I don't approve of. No one else in this establishment is allowed to turn down jobs but Ella, so I know what you said it BS," my voice raises and I didn't know it until I felt lightheaded.
"We need her. She's a younger girl and you and I both know nothing will happen to her if she's on your watch, swallow your pride and stop thinking with your dick," my brother picks the contract up and scans through it.
I care about Ella and I don't want her hurt messing with this guy, we barely know anything about this guy.
"And it says here she needs to do a job to secure a spot in this company, before signing," he shrugs his shoulder and I snatch it away looking at it while he continues, "last person that didn't do a job when dad came to check up on the place was murder."
Fuck!
"I'll do it," I look over seeing Ella and her brother walking in with bags of food
"How long have you been listening to this," she places the food on my desk and kisses me before responding, "the whole time. My brother was walking in with food for us as a surprise," she looks up at me with sparkles in her brown eyes and I smile.
"We can talk about all this later because I'm hungry for something else," I grab onto her ass and she brings her bottom lip in.
"Pussy is so overrated," Liam laughs.
Ella whips around quickly responding with sass, "Excuse you? Not mine, I almost made you an uncle the other day," she crosses her arms, and I and Ezla laugh.
"You damn right baby," I smack her ass before putting my arms around her, and leaning down kissing her neck.
This girl...
"I need you," I whisper in her ear and she grabs my hand, "we have to go loser," she makes known and Liam puts up the peace sign.
"Don't fuck in my office," I say to Ezal and Liam before walking out.
