Cole's pov
It was the weekend finally, I invited my friend over so we could play and have fun together. Mom and Dad were happy that they were here. They love them as their children just like me, Malik and Luke.
I took my friends to the living room. " Get in."
" Hey yo, we will play fifa first." Malik said as David jumped on the controller
" Then I'm starting."
" Levio, let's play cards, Marco are you in?" Sofia asked
" Yep, I'm in, just I'm getting snacks for us."
" I hope you don't consider your salad a snack." David said and they laughed
" I don't, stupid, play and shut your mouth." I rolled my eyes and left to the kitchen
I took the snacks and went to the living room to them when my eyes fell on the lil Lucas running on his feet with hands in the air
" Sofie, Levo, Dave!! Let's pwayy!!" He slurred because of course speaking a lot while running.
I'm gonna smack his little ass to learn to not run again. I saw Sofia taking him on her laps as she kissed him. I put the snacks on the table and sat in the circle with Levio and Sofia.
" Luke, stay quiet with Sofia or go to the playing room." I told him and here I got a poke on my back which I assume it's David's action
He put his index finger on his mouth." I quiet and play cards!!"
" Okay, deal." I extended my hand to his little soft hand to hold and I shook it gently.
" Deal" He shook happily
Can this boy be cuter?
Sofia gave him three cards, he is not actually playing but we will explain him the game
" When you see the same color or same number, put your card in, get it?" Levio said
" Okay!!" He nodded
We started playing each one in his turn
" Waittt!!! " He said
We looked at him
He lay his cards on the table in the arc shape. " I can't hold them. Now pway." He giggled
" Fine." We carried on playing and ignoring Luke's cards in between
He threw his cards when he found the match then he suddenly collected some cards and spread them like earlier.
I just tried to ignore it and we carried on playing unbothered... Actually, I tried to play unbothered. He was getting on my nerves. I can't focus with this nor play and I started to feel my anger reaching its best level
Just calm down Cole! He is a baby! Calm down, Marco!
He was looking at Sofie's card then jumped to Levio's lap and peek his head between Levio's chest and hands making his cards fall
" Uh oh Sorwy. Don't wowy, I pick them up." He said collecting the card one by one
I felt like snapping at him but I know I will be under the laser eyes of my friends and my twin. He just ruined the game. I didn't feel like playing again
He gave the cards back to Lev while they were all cooing at him. He came to me and sat on my lap
" Pway bubba!! " He said tapping my chin with his baby hands
But look at the cutie!
I carried on playing.
" Luke, what colors Marco has?"
My brother is way smarter than kids his age and a fast learner so he knows and differentiate between colors. He counts to a hundred without any miss, knows all the animals names. He has a nice vocabulary too, he doesn't say some words correctly and when you insist on him, he thinks a bit then tells them correctly. So Lev knows this and he is trying to take advantage of it.
" Cole? I tell them?" He asked looking at me innocently
" No baby, don't." I kissed his forehead
" Man, why do you ask him?" Levio asked as I smirked
" So no cheating and my bubba wins!!" He said clapping his hands
They laughed
" How on the earth, you know this?" Dave asked him as he took him from my lap
" Because he knows what he should do for his brothers." I smirked
" Down!!! Cole!!!" He whined wiggling and making grabby hands in my direction
" Leave him." I stood up and grabbed Luke, putting him on my lap again
" Are you hungry?" I asked him
He nodded and then said, " Want jam."
" Let's feed you then." I stood up and Sofia walked behind me. I turned to her, raising an eyebrow
" Can I feed him?" She asked
" If he wants to take it from you."
He put his head in the crook of my neck gripping my shirt. I put him on his high chair as Sofia patted his head. He wiggled his hand upside down flapping like the wings of a bird and I could feel his gaze over my shoulder while he was giggling, so excited to have jam.
I grabbed his jam and spoon. I sat on my chair and started feeding him.
" Can I try please?" Sofia asked
" Sure."
I gave her the bottle and the spoon. I don't care if he doesn't want to take the spoon from her.
He looked at her with his mouth sealed. " Sowwy, only bubbas."
Proud of his way of saying no!
" Sorry Sofie! He just doesn't want anyone to feed him other than us, even Linda he didn't want her to feed him." I tried to explain and I added that remake about Linda so she won't feel bad.
She smiled and nodded at me. I carried on feeding him
" Thank you bubba. I'm full." He said as he tried sliding down the chair
" What did I say about sliding down?" I said while putting the bottle in its place.
I'm well aware that he can't get out of that chair alone.
" Risky. Down bubba! wanna play."
" Yeah, of course you want to play." I took him out of the chair and sat on mine
I put him on his stomach over my lap, rubbing his back lightly and when he burped, I put him on the ground and extended my hand to him. He held my hand and we walked back to the living room. As soon as we entered there, he left my hand and ran to Malik
" Nino!!"
" Baby!!" Malik held him on his chest as Luke laid on his stomach.
Time for the baby to sleep!
I sat back with Levio and Sofia and we started the game again. I glanced at Malik rubbing my baby's brother back and patting his butt lightly, planting some kisses on his head
He lay on his couch cum brother peacefully drifting off to sleep.Malik once he made sure Luke was asleep soundly took him upstairs and put him on his crib then came back.
Malik and David joined us playing cards and the loser should get punished by a dare. We laughed as we made Dave eat an uncooked egg. We were rolling on the ground when Levio called his dad and pretended that he broke his arm. His dad got worried though.
We were playing when we heard cries from upstairs. Malik and I stood up and ran to check on our brother together.
" Baby!!" Malik cooed
" Shh, we are here."
We went to him. He calmed down as he saw us but his tears were flowing down and his pouty lips wobbled.
" What happened, cutie?" Malik asked
He looked down then back to us
" Diaper." He pointed at it.
He always gets embarrassed when he wets himself in sleep. That's what all the crying about.
I smelled the odor and yeah it is
" The baby used his diaper?" I asked him
" Oh? Is it a big one or a little one? Pee or poop?"
" Man, he ate jam, of course he pooped, you are not smelling the odor?"
" What? Where's mom?"
" She went out with dad, we are left with Linda."
" Let's call Linda".
" Malik, it's your turn, don't run away. Be a man."
" Fine."
Malik took him and laid him on his changing table. He removed his dirty diaper and put on a new one after bathing his private parts and applying a cream.
He patted his butt and said," We are done, take this to the garbage."
" Okay."
I took the dirty diaper and threw it in the garbage outside the house then washed my hands and went to the room again. We both washed ourselves up when he stood on the table
" Bubbas! up!" He made grabby hands
Good that he didn't try to slide. Malik held him
" Let's have another nap."
We know he still wants to sleep but of course he won't like staying here alone.
" Cole, Luke, Nino, all nap." He said as he put his lil arms around Malik's shoulder and rested his head on it.
" Okay, we will." Malik said as he pointed at the crib
I opened the door as Malik got inside it with Luke so he could sleep. I played with his hair as Malik patted his diaper lightly
" Hey, I don't think he will sleep alone here and I don't want him to wake up crying if he doesn't find us." I told Nico
" Me too, let's take him with us?"
" Much noise."
" So what?"
" Let's take him to Linda downstairs, even if he gets up. She will take care of him."
" Yep, good idea or leave it, I'm staying with him. Go play with the others."
" Fine." I kissed my little brother's head and patted Nico's
" Just get off my face." He whispered angrily
" Shh, calm down." I chuckled
I went downstairs and carried on playing with my friends.
Malik's POV
I was laying beside my lil brother, while he was almost sleeping on my chest. His mouth opened while his hands curled on the center of my chest, holding on my shirt. I had my one arm around him protectively as I rested my palm on his butt.
He looked so cute as he breathed slowly and moved his mouth in sleep, sniffling from time to time and other times giggling and smiling.
His light hair covering his forehead, I pushed them back and kissed his head. He slurred in his sleep suddenly smiling a lil.
So precious he is!
He slept for a while more then twisted around as he slowly opened his eyes
" Nino." He said in his soft sleepy voice and reached out to kiss my cheek.
I picked him up and lay him on my stomach
" My baby slept well?" I cooed
He nodded
" I wanna play." He said, resting his head on my chest.
When he doesn't want to pway?
" Yeah, but you seem tired so if you want to sleep more, I'm here."
The cutie is way too smart. He understands well so we just talk to him without simplifying things
" Play! Go to the park!" He said
" Nino chest playing music." He giggled putting his ear there to listen
Music? This seems interesting. " That's maybe my stomach as I'm hungry or my heartbeats as I'm alive."
" Heartbeat, how do heartbeats to live?" He asked as he looked up at me with those curious eyes
How will I make him understand?
" Okay, when people are alive, breathing, laughing, moving, etc. Their hearts beat so blood can reach all the body and enable them to do all this stuff."
" No heartbeats, no blood, no life, and people are dead... go to heaven." I told him
" How does blood reach?" He asked trying to process it
" Heartbeats work as a pump that pushes blood to the lungs so you can breathe then push it to all the other organisms."
" Okay okay let's play now"
" Okay, want to go to the park?" I asked him for the last time
" Yeah, me Nino Cole!!" He said excitedly
" Cole is staying, baby but we can go together."
" Okay!! Nino and Luke!! "
" Fine. Let's change you. Pick up some clothes." I said to his as I put him down and gave him three options
" You pick" He said as he jumped only in his t-shirt and diaper
" No you will wear it, not me, so pick something."
" Why so difficult, bubba." He said with the frown on and touched the first outfit
" I want you to create your own personality, buddy." I took the two other outfits and put them in the closet
" Okay okay Park!!!" He said still jumping with his hands up in the air
" Okay." I said as I put him on the bed and changed his clothes and put on his shoes
" Let's go." I picked him up and went downstairs, told Cole then went out
" Down bubba!! I walk!"
" Okay, no running. Hold my hand." I told him
" Okay." He smiled evilly
" I'm serious or we are going back home."
He sighed dramatically. " Fine, no running. Now down bubba"
I put him down and extended my hand to him
He pulled his hand to catch mine then smirked evilly, " Bye bubba!!" And he ran away
" Lucas!!!! Stop." I yelled as I ran after him
He giggled still running away. This kid will give me a heart attack and suddenly a dog appeared and started barking
He stopped on his tracks startled as he turned to me and yelled, " Nino!!!"
Now, Nino?
I walked to him and said, " Come mister dog eat him, he is delicious."
" No! I am not!!Nino!!" He make grabby hands towards me, so in hurry before the dog eats him
" No, I'll let him eat those little legs of yours so show me how you will run then." I said as I crouched down and caressed the dog's fur, " Please eat him."
His eyes widen as he hid behind me
" No please no. Nino!! up!!"
He held my shirt and shook it
" I'll make him eat me instead."
This is hilarious. The dog was tied to the door. Look how calm he is while I'm caressing his fur. Animals are not my thing but I don't hate them or feel scared of them. But my baby brother pacing scared is funnier.
" No, no not you!!!" He came in front of me and folded his hands in front of the dog
" Please don't eat us. Please, go play with your brothers." He said all of it with his eyes tight shut out of fear.
I couldn't catch my laughter anymore. I laughed and pulled him towards me
" The dog won't do anything to us... Try to caress his fur, give me your hand."
He shook his head, " He will eat me. Mama always says I smell sweet."
" Dogs don't eat sweet things. C'mon." I chuckled
Can't believe him!
He gave me his hand and clung to me for dear life. I chuckled and put his hand on the animal fur, and made him stroke it.
" It's okay!" I whispered to my brother
He opened his one eye and looked at it and slowly relaxed, smiling as I made him caress the dog's fur.
" Good, now let's go... Or I'll make him eat you, say goodbye."
" No! Good bye doggie." He said and hugged me
I picked him up and said bye to the dog. A few minutes later, we got in the park. I put him down
" Go play with the kids, stay in a place where I can see you. I'm right here." I kissed him cheek
So little my Goodness just so little.
" Okay!!" He said as he ran to the slide and played there then he started collecting pebbles and kept them under a tree.
Then he started making some things out of them that only he can understand and play with.
I smiled at him fondly, I saw Leonardo with his sister
" Leo!" I called
He said something to his sister and came to me.
" How are you?"
" Couldn't be better and you?"
" I'm okay, what are you doing here?"
" Ohh, taking care of my brother."
" Ohh that little cutie pie?" He pointed at him
" Yep, that one." I smiled as I saw Luke playing with the dust
" Can I put him in the swing?"
" Man, my brother loves people but kinda doesn't like anyone other than me and Cole doing this to him."
" Can I try?"
" Yep sure."
Leo walked to him and I accompanied him to assure my brother's comfort
" Luca, you remember Leo?"
He looked up for a while trying to remember him
" Nino friend?"
" Yep, I am... Can we play together?"
" Hi. Okay, come sit" He said patting the ground beside him and looked at me probably, wanting me to stay here only
" No, I mean, play on the swing."
" You wanna ride on the swing?"
" I wanna give you a ride on the swing."
" Sorry, only bubbas."
I love that he didn't hesitate to deny him, being so independent with his choices
" I told you that."
" Why so cute bro?"
" Mom made him out of candy." I answered him
He giggled, " Candies don't have blood."
" I'm joking, lovely baby." I laughed at it
" Smart too."
" Don't jinx it. I don't want him to be stupid like you."
Leo laughed then we shared a bro handshake and he left
" Bubba! Swing!!"
" Okay baby." I walked with him to the swing and I put him on it
" Grip it well, I'll push it." I warned him
" Okay!!" He said excitedly as I pushed him on the swing slowly
" Higher bubba higher!!"
I pushed a bit harder," Here you go."
He cheered happily as it went higher a bit.
" I feel tired, carry on playing." I sat on the bench
He came down after a bit and said, " Let's go home bubba and rest."
Wow, so new! And I was thinking how I will take him home and how I will deal with his tantrums but look here he is asking it himself
" Yeah, let's go."
I held my hand out for him and we walked home together
" You want me to pick you up?" I asked him
" No no walk."
" Okay... Did you have fun, buddy?"
" Yeah so much fun today!!!"
" When will mama and daddy come back?"
" Later." We got in the house
Cole came and picked up Luke," Missed you baby."
" Missed you too bubba." He kissed his cheeks
" You know, a bad doggie was about to eat me and Nino today!! but I saved us!!" He made hand gestures while boasting seriously
I laughed as Cole played seriously," Ohh, the hero! So proud of you."
He nodded, smiling satisfied. " Nino was scared but I took care of him like a big boy!!"
" Ohh good, you wiped his tears?"
" I hugged Nino and gave him many kisses!!"
" What exactly did you do to the dog?"
He thought for a while making the story ahead. " So! We went to the park and the doggie came! big teeth and nails and body!! He bawked at Nino!!" He started as if he was saying the most terrifying story ever.
He told the whole story while making hand gestures and expressions. " I jumped in front of the dog and showed my big hand to him to stop!! He backed away, I pwayed with the fur and told him to not scare people, it's bad manners and then make him go play wif his brothers!!"
Cole couldn't help it anymore and boosted laughing his heart out. Sofia was recording the cute stuff as David and Levio were tearing up with laughter
" Why are you laughing?!" He frowned at Cole
" I'm laughing at that the big boy Nino was scared." Cole made up something
" Our little superman." David said and he grabbed him from Cole and help Luke like he is flying
" Good thing that you were with him, Luca." Levio said
" Or who knows what could have happened." Sofia carried on
He giggled
" You see how big and strong I am!!" He said flexing his non existent biceps
An hour later, our friends went to their houses one by one. I stuck with Cole and Luke for a while before we heard the front door get open. Lucas just slid down of the couch and ran to see the door with Linda.
" Be careful, Lucas!" Linda said as she opened the door
Mom and dad got in as Luke jumped in mom's embrace. " MAMA!!"
I heard dad's laughter, " Oh my baby."
" How are mommy?"
" Good good, why so late?" He pouted, " I missed you." He kissed her cheeks
" I missed you too, I was checking our new house."
" Then went to your grandma, she was sick, stayed with her." Dad picked him up.
He kissed dad's cheek too, " Missed you daddy, how granma?"
" She's better."
We went to mom and kissed her. " Did you enjoy your time with your friends?" She asked
" Yes mommy, we played a lot."
We took her hands and talked about everything that had happened. Dad sat beside us as he was holding Luke
" And daddy you should see how Luke was scared of the dog." Marco told dad
" He was pleading him and was scared if he eats him as mom always says he smells sweet." I proceeded to tell him
Mom and Dad laughed at it so much as Dad kissed Luke several times then started tickling him
" Who is scared of the doggie? Huh?" Dad teased
" Nino!! Daddy stop!!!" He wiggled
" I won't. Let's eat you?"
" NO! Daddy, don't eat baby!!" He said wiggling out of dad's grip
" Mama save me!!"
" Let daddy taste a little bit." Mom laughed
He suddenly stopped laughing and wiggling and frowned at me and Cole
" You said I was scared of the doggie and you laughed!!"
" What?" Cole asked
" You need to say I saved him, not that I was scared!! I'm not scared!"
" Sorry sorry." We said at the same time
" No sorry, I'm mad." He folded his hand on the chest and pouted looking away from us
" Let go of my baby, his mommy will treat him. Boys please go have a shower." Mom took Luke from us
" Yes mommy."
" I'm going first, Okay Marco?"
" Yes Hun, go."
I ignored him... Hun? Really? What a teaser?
" Baby, are you hungry?" Mom asked Luca
" Yes momma."
" So hungry?" Mom teased
" Yeah mommy please!!" He started lifting her shirt
" Okay, fine." She took him upstairs.
I kissed dad and went to my room to take a shower, leaving dad cuddling with Cole.
