"Why are we even playing with you?" You asked as you watched Sonic play soccer all by himself, passing the ball to himself over and over again. With a large kick, Sonic kicked the ball, it hitting Knuckles in the face.
"Ugh--GoAl!" he drawled out.
The gang soon saw Amy sit by a nearby bench, eating a sandwich.
"Hey! Your Meh Burger looks weird!" Sonic stated bluntly.
"It's not a stupid 'Meh Burger!' I made this myself!
"Ah, so it's a Me Burger! An 'Amy' Burger!" Sonic laughed at his own joke, making you facepalm and Amy stare at him.
"See, I took the original name and did a clever twist on it."
"Yeah, clever." Amy rolled her eyes.
"I think it was clever, Sonic!" Tails smiled, but Sonic sighed.
"Don't patronize me."
"Speaking of patronizing, let's go be customers at Meh Burger!" Knuckles smiled until Amy let out a disgusted groan. "Meh Burger is horrible! The people of this un-named village deserve better!" Amy declared, and you folded your arms.
"Yeah, like a name!"
"I know, right!" Sticks agreed. "See! See, she agrees with me!"
"I'm going to open a restaurant with good service, a pleasant inviting atmosphere--"
"And a moat? And laser turrets?" Sticks asked.
"Probably not-."
"Amy, you don't know anything about running a restaurant!" Sonic pointed out, making the pink hedgehog growl at him.
"If I let not knowing anything stop me from doing something, I'd never do anything."
You stared at the echidna for a few moments until your eyes landed on Amy.
"I'm really going to do it. I'm opening a restaurant! Are you guys with me!" She pumped a fist in the air as she cheered.
"I guess."
"Yeah!"
"Sure!"
"What are we doing?-"
"Don't blame me when it's overrun by invaders!"

Amy's restaurant was just beside Meh Burger. It took a while, but with the gang's help, Amy was able to build her own shelter.
"Present spatulas!" She ordered and the gang, including you, stood side-by-side as Amy walked towards you all, with spatulas in your hands.
"Good!"
"Very nice!-Stick's that's not a spatula, lose it!"
"Great!" Amy smiled at you, and soon she walked over to Knuckles.
"Knuckles! Your hat is on backwards!" The boy quickly....turned himself around, his back now facing Amy and he whined.
"Where'd everyone go?"
Tails took his wrist and twirled him around, so he was facing Amy again.
"I'm about to teach Dave the Intern a lesson he'll never forget!" Amy grinned, laughing as she said 'never.'
"Every teacher I ever had said that, and they were all wrong! I forgot every lesson...and how to feed myself!"
You watched Knuckles take a carrot and stuffed it in his ear.
"Ah! False alarm, I do remember!"
You didn't even bother at this point.
"Welcome to Chez Amy!" Amy cheered, and you whispered over to Sonic. "Did she pick that name out herself?" Sonic nodded. "She must be real proud of that one!" You snickered, having Amy glare at you two, to make Sonic and you stand beside each other with your chests out and your hands behind your back.
"Where our motto is, 'at least we know what you ordered!'" Amy continued
This caused everyone at Meh Burger to stay silent for a moment, before a large crowd ran over to Amy's restaurant and barged inside, knocking Amy over.
"Still think this was a good idea?" You grinned, helping your pink friend up.
"Yes! Yes, I do!" And with that she grabbed your wrist and dragged you inside, the gang following close behind and soon started to get to work.

"See! People want good service!" Amy smiled as you, her, and Tails stood behind the counter and Sonic zoomed around the place, taking people's orders. "Dave the Intern can't compete with that--"
"Ahoy!"
Dave's voice echoed through a megaphone.
"The new Meh Burger Drive Through Express is now open!"
"That voice from the sky is right!" An Ox spoke up, smiling. "Why are we wasting our time here, when we could be using a drive-through!"
"Because none of you have cars to use the drive-through! Do you not know the meaning of a 'drive-through?!'"
The customers murmured to themselves for a moment before all of them ran out of the place, leaving it completely empty. Except for you, Sonic, Amy, Knuckles, Sticks, and Tails are the only ones in there.
"Don't worry, Amy! It's just a stupid gimmick! It'll pass!" Tails encouraged, soon frowning when Amy snapped.
"Yes, it will. Especially when I have my OWN stupid gimmick!"
"This isn't gonna end well..." you sighed placing your hat over your eyes and slamming your forehead to the table you sat at gently.
Amy walked out of her restaurant, and whistled, getting the attention of the customers at Meh Burger who weren't even using the freaking drive-thru!
"I'm excited to announce that, starting today, everyone customer will receive....uh...a Chez Amy..." she looked around for a sec, before picking up a clean, smooth rock. "Magic Fun Lump!" She grinned.
"Magic Fun Lump?"
"I'm going to collect all fo-o-our!"
And just like that, Chez Am was full once again.

"Day two of the battle of the buns, and already Meh Burger finds itself in a real 'pickle!'. Can it 'ketchup?' Will Chez Amy 'meat' the challenge? 'Lettuce' wait and see! Ha-ha! Hello, Pulitzer!"

"How are you folks doing?" Amy greeted a couple with their child as they entered the restaurant. "Magic Fun Lump?" She handed the child a smooth rock and smiled until you came over. "Uh, hey kid? Would you want something else? Like, maybe a Magic...Flying Napkin?" You tried to get the rock away from the kid, but he pout and shook his head.
"NO! Magic Fun Lumps are fun to throw!"
The kid grinned as he threw the rock across the room, hitting Knuckles in the face, which made him spill the pink fruit punch all over him and the floor. The bowl landing on the top of his head.
"Guys!" Amy snapped, everyone, looking at her. And by everyone, I mean you and the gang. "Chez Amy is all about service! Friendly, smiling happy service!" You rolled your eyes. "Then maybe we should give the kids toys less...dangerous."
Amy grabbed you by your shirt and glared at you, her and your nose touching.
"Who's the manager of Chez Amy?!"
"Amy!" you squeak.
"And what are you?"
"An employee!"
"And remember that! NOW GET YOUR LAZY BUTTS IN GEAR!"
Amy unhanded you and stomped away, you grasping Sonic's arm, making him chuckle and roll his eyes.
"Why am I suddenly scared for my life?"

"Now, I've designed a food delivery system that bypasses the mouth and inserts the food directly into the customer's stomach!" Amy explained, showing the gang a blackboard with god know's what written on it. All you see is a self-portrait of Amy herself, a burger, and arrows leading the burger into Amy's mouth.
You gaged.
"The heck--"
"Ugh! Okay, Amy, you've totally lost sight of why you're doing this!" Sonic pointed out, equally disgusted as you by Amy's idea.
"I'm doing this to destroy Dave the Intern and his unerring instinct for what the public want! I don't care what they want, I know what THEY NEED! Good service, with a warm, friendly smile! Now tell them to GET IN HERE!"
The pink hedgehog snapped, making you grasp Sonic's arm once more, seeing a red aura around Amy's figure.
"This is nuts!" Sticks sighed, finally, someone putting an end to this! The others all agreed with Sticks' statement.
As Amy was about to go back to explaining, Sonic, you and the others walked right out of the room. Amy grasped your wrist, making you look back at her.
"Y/N! C'mon, I can't run this restaurant on my own!"
"Little piece of advice, don't start doing something you can't finish. I'm sorry Amy, but you've had your run. I'm out." You took your hat and handed it to Amy, who watched you leave with a sad frown.

You watched as Sonic sped by you in a flash, him kicking the ball through the gap of parallel coconuts as the goal.
"Huh, Anyone else hungry?" Sonic asked.
"No, I'm full." Knuckles smiled at the blue hedgehog with two carrots in his ears.
"Let's go to Amy's restaurant for lunch!" Sonic suggested.
"Huh?"
You grumbled and ripped the carrots out of Knuckles' ears/
"Let's have lunch at Chez Amy!" He repeated, making the others groan.
"We'll never get past the moat!" Sticks' protested.
"And if we go, all she'll do is make us work again!" You added, making Sonic sigh. "Okay, then we won't go."
"I think going to Amy's is a great idea, Sonic!"
"Don't patronize me."

Sonic's voice woke you up from your slumber. The gang, besides Amy, were now at Sonic's shack, just relaxing after having some lunch. You, Sonic, and Tails were resting on beach chairs, while Sticks and Knuckles were playing volleyball.
"Ugh, Amy! We don't want to work for you!" He complained.
"Eggman's robots are attacking and I-well, I'll be happy to help with that!"
As soon as Sonic zoomed past you and the others, you were all soon back at Chez Amy, where a dozen Eggman robots were attacking.
You whip out your weapon and began to battle.
You jumped off Tails' plane and smashed two crab-bots as you landed.
It took a while, but with the robots destroyed, Amy gave a small frown seeing her building demolished and desroyed.
"So, do I still get my break?"

A couple of day's went by, during the days, you and the gang helped rebuild Meh Burger after having Amy explain the story to you, of how Eggman blew it up a couple of days ago.
You all sat at a rectangle table, waiting for your orders.
"From now on, I'm leaving the food service to the professionals...and do the kicking butt with my friends!" Amy grinned, laughing as you wrapped an arm around her neck. "Heck, yeah girl!"
Dave came walking up with a tray of 6 burgers.
"As a thank you for rebuilding Meh Burger, this one's on the house!" As he walked away, you all took your burger, leaving Amy with the 'Something's Fishy' sandwich, making her sigh and roll her eyes.
