Mia's POV

Sunday 3:35 am
The sound of my window knocking made me turn slightly I cover my head with the people it continues
A coulda who dat dem hours yah
"Mia, a me!" I heard a voice say from outside my window
Wait no shamario voice dat? I thought to myself groaning getting up I search for my phone that is no longer where I placed it
How is that even possible?
A me alone dat happen to?
Put down yuh things and then caah find it weh yuh put it like it tek up foot and walk gone
I got up turning the lights on taking my glasses up off the night stand going over to the window
As I open the window I see shamario covered in blood from head to toe.
"Jesus Christ" I whisper yelled covering my mouth.
"Yah go let mi in or just stand there,?" He asks
Opening the window n backing away with my heart pounding sweat forming on my forehead
I can taste the vomit that threatens to spill swallowing it back down
I watched him climb through looking out for something or should I say someone then shutting it
After a while of me just standing there thinking of reasons he could have blood on him that's logical n legal.
"Mari," I say but my voice came out in a whisper I'm scared, terrified and angry.
See mari is in a gang called the KENM gang ik ur wondering what does it mean well it means "kill everything, no mercy" they're involved in ¾ of the killings in Jamaica brutal murders, robberies,gun fight, shoot out you name it.
The leader Mike was the worst he showed no mercy to nobody I respected him tho because he never hurts woman n children n he sends the kids to school n keep treats n little events to better the community.
Jungle.
One of the worst places/community to live in Jamaica.
"Mari", I say this time louder and more sternly
"Why yuh covered inna blood shamario,?" What happened? Are you ok? Do you need me to call the ambulance? Mari what happened?.
"Calm down no mia, mah go shower and come back then tell yuh what happened alright n yes I'm fine,"
"Cool,?" He added looking calm and tired
"Alright, mah go get yuh something to put on when yuh come out" I say
"Thanks" he says walking towards my bathroom.
As I exit my room looking both ways like mah cross road listening out if I hear my brothers voice caz mommy n daddy a sleep long time.
Hearing nothing but music outta road somewhere probably the bar round a big yard is like ants inna dem bed tpc all 3am music a play no sah
I walk towards my brothers room praying he's at his whoring cheating girlfriend house n not here.
Knocking softly waiting on a response after not hearing anything. I push open his door to my absolute pleasure him no deh here.
Sending a silent prayer to God thanking him caz if him did deh here mari woulda probably a fi wear one a mi dress or supmu.
Laughing to myself thinking how he'd look in a dress especially mines.
I walk towards his closet taking out a brand new white shirt n a set a tommy hilfiger underwear n one a him sweats weh him neva wear (them all new btw).
Him ago kill mi when him realize wah gwaan eno but until then I'm safe
I think.
Plus he's never home so.
Walking towards my room. I heard the shower shut off knocking on the bathroom door I waited until I heard him say come in.
Opening it just a little I pushed the clothes in waiting on him to take them.
Hearing him chuckle then say.
"Mia yah move like yuh no see me naked before," he says taking the things out my hand.
"It was an accident that time n yk dat," I yelled softly.
"Yh anything yuh seh" he says.

***Present time***
Sitting on my bed sleepily waiting on Mari to explain everything.
After 4 minutes 40 seconds yes I'm counting could've been sleeping eno chro watch sleeping time a waste.
He took a seat beside on the bed as I turned towards him waiting impatiently.
"I know I have alot to explain," he said starting off.
"Hmmm" I said encouraging him to continue.
"So me n di ute dem go pon a endz go deal wid supmu (guns n coke transmission) neva know it was a setup yzt we go deh n everything ago good too good everybody calm n ting, we deh deh just fi hear gunshot ringing all about police siren n everything man dem weh we a do dis deal wid think we set him up yzt so shoot out start shot a fire left to right one of di ute dem Justin get shot we put him inna di van n him did deh pon me when we a rush him to di hospital so that's y blood deh all over mhii," he finished waiting on me to process the information I just gotten.
"So basically it's not ur blood n ur alright,?" I asked.
"Yh mi gov but justin inna serious condition" he says lying down on my bed.
"Alright," I say getting up walking towards my closet.
"Mia yuh good,?" Mari ask.
"Yh," I responded looking for a belt.
"Weh yah look fah,? Yuh nave skl tmr come go yuh bed,?" He says getting under the sheets closing his eyes.
Finding the belt I wasted no time walking back towards the bed n slapping him multiple times.
"Aye, ouch aye aye aye murda," he shouted.
I stopped smiling at him satisfied.
"Doh eva wake mi up dem hours yah outta mi slp yer dat,!".
"Yes ma'am," he says in pain.
"Hush," I say soothing him.
"Doh touch mi! Wicked bombohole," he says turning over putting the sheet over his head.
Getting into bed beside him after turning the lights off. I turn over the pillow to the other side
Oh jeez.
It's cold that's what I like
Putting my head on the pillow turning on my side getting comfortable rubbing my feet together it helps put me to sleep faster
Mari turning to face my back n hugging me spooning snuggling his face in my neck breathing softly.
Before falling into deep sleep I suddenly remembered.
