As me and Xavier walk into school well after 1st period started, I still couldn't get my mind off of the ginger haired boy.
Though he played the nice new kid in town at the diner, his personality was not what I thought it was going to be. My first impression of him was a nice, confident, transparent guy. Truly I couldn't have been anymore wrong.
Because in reality he was a mysterious, completely shut in guy. He was still confident. That I got by how he talked to me. He talked as though to show power. To be honest he gave me the creeps. There was something about him I couldn't quite put my finger on.
"The bell just rang. Lets wait by your locker for Emma and Jackson." Xavier says knocking me off my thoughts.
With our hands intertwined, he leads us to my locker. "Um Davina?" A familiar voice comes from behind me, making my head turn to put a face to the voice.
"Alex?" I say in utter confusion. "What's up?"
"I need your help... actually both of y'all's help." He says fidgeting with his hands. "Uh yeah sure whats the problem?" Xavier says speaking for the both of us.
"What would-you um- sorry." Alex says struggling to form a sentence. "English please." Xavier says making me laugh a little.
Alex stays silent looking at the floor. He was really struggling to get words out.
Xavier looks at me shrugging his shoulders. "Look Alex, don't be scared to ask us for he-"
"Emma kissed me!" Alex says making me look around to make sure no one was looking. "She what!?" I say finally focusing back on him. "She got drunk and- and then she found me, tried to apologize, I said no and she start bawling. In order to calm her down I hugged her- I- I accepted the apology and next thing I knew was she was kissing me..."
"Wow.." Xavier says quietly. Way to sum it up.
I mean yes, Alex is a nice boy, Amazing even, but I don't think Alex fits Emmas crazy, adventurous, bright personality. Quite frankly I wouldn't put them together, Alex would drown in Emmas ways.
"Basically I need help on what to tell her. What did y'all do after kissing for the first time?" He says looking at us pleadingly. Xavier looks over at me then back at alex. "We both knew we liked eachother. We kinda just brushed it off."
My mind flashes back to that day on my bed when we had our first kiss. I remember the soft touch of Xaviers hand gripping my waist as his face lowered towards mine. I remember his Green eyes piercing into mine as I waited for the sexual tension between us to finally be let free. I remember the moment his lips landed on mine. The way our lips came together as if made for each other's, as if molded to shape only us. The velvety feeling of his lips sending me into a shock of pleasure.
I remember the day I realized I was inevitably stuck to him for life.
"You have a thing for getting lost in your head don't you?" Xavier says shoving at my arm.
My eyes focus back on reality and I look back at Alex. "Look we dont know how you feel about that kiss, but one thing I do know is drunk words are sober thoughts. Only meaning Emma might have a thing for you. I suggest talking with her about the situation before One of y'all ends up running. Trust me running away from your problems wont help."
Xavier only nods his head in agreement as I finish.
"Well-.." Alex says looking to something behind me. "In this case running is the best option for now. Thank you though.. for the advice." Without letting me question his reasoning, he's turned around and walking away into a hall.
"You were thinking about our first kiss weren't you?" Im missing the part of when the fuck I ended up dating a mind reader...
"How can I not? Do you not think about it?" I ask turning my body towards his.
He chuckles looking at his feet.
"Everyday Davina..."
My faced twisted at the mention of my full name.
"What? You getting used to me calling you Vina?" He says as his arm wraps around my waist.
"How can I not? You've been calling me that pretty much since we met." I say in defense. Xavier opens his mouth to respond but is stopped by the one and only.
"Ok we get it! Y'all fuck like bunnies. Now stop displaying it to the entire school..." Emma says teasing us as her and Jackson walk to all of our lockers.
Jackson fights back a laugh and covers his mouth. I give him a stare and he quickly turns stone cold.
"I assume since Xaviers back y'all did exactly that didn't y'all?" Emma says opening her locker.
Who's gonna tell her?
"Do you want us to answer that?" Xavier says slightly smirking.
Emma cringes at him and closes her eyes. "Shit. I was kidding. But y'all are obviously, absolutely disgusting. Horrible. Worse than bunnies." We all laugh at her disgust and regret.
After simmering down we started a new conversation about all the gossip Emma had collected from the party. Right now we were talking about some dude jumping into the pool and earning himself a bruise from the bellyflop he had done.
I mean what kind of idiot does that?
"Bitch was dumb enough to go for a second round!" Emma says hysterically laughing. She was holding onto Jacksons arm for support.
"Remind me again what he gained from this?" Jackson asks her. She looks at him stopping her laugh to answer him.
"Oh yeah-.... NOTHING!" Once again she starts laughing her pants off.
Xavier pats her shoulder im an attempt to calm her down. "Alright, don't want you to piss yourself." That didn't help because it only made her laugh even more.
Dear god. See what I mean? Shea absolutely a hand full sometimes. Like not to be mean but this is one of the many reasons she doesn't have a boyfriend.
"Excuse me?" Someone I was hoping to never see again was now in the middle of our little group.
From my side vision I see Xaviers once comfortable relaxed body, more tense than I have ever seen. His face looked like he wanted to kill someone.
"Um can I help you sir?" Emma says obviously annoyed by the fact that some rando just waltzed into our group.
"Sorry didn't mean to interrupt y'all's chit chat, I just came to return something." We all look at him in confusion as he turns face me.
"Here you go." The ginger haired boy pulls something from his pocket and dangles a key in my face. I feel my heart stop as I stare at the copy of my apartment key.
I quickly snatch it from him and look at him even more confused. "How the hell did you get this?" I ask a little more frustrated than I've been in my entire life.
He turns to look at Emma and Jackson, staring into their eyes. "You're going to block out whatever I say to them." He says to them. They just stare at him and seem to quickly switch moods to calm. What the fu-
"Names Henry." The ginger haired boy says holding out a hand.
"Go away." Xavier says finally joining the conversation.
"Ehhhh. Don't feel like it. After all I had to see y'all together for myself. You really got yourself a girl Xavier. Phew shes something." Henry says eying me. I quickly felt uncomfortable.
"I suggest you walk away. Now." Xavier says getting more and more aggravated by the second.
I quickly picked up that this boy wasn't just some boy who was coincidentally new in town... this is the guy who killed Xaviers mom.
"Y'know Xavier, I've been waiting for the day I finally found something else I could use against your pathetic self and-.." Henry switches his gaze from Xavier to me.
Im really hoping he isn't going to say it.
"I think I found something." He says with a sly smirk in his lips.
Xavier steps closer to him and I feel a wave of fear lace me. Please don't.
When Xavier told me about his past I was quick to tell him I accepted him either way. I still do, but im starting to think if maybe I should of thought about the risk of something happening in public.
"She's next Xavier... I already crossed your mother off the list when I drove a shard of glass through her heart, and sucked the life out of her." Henry says getting in Xaviers face.
And the next thing I see is Xavier punching Henry in the face....

Sorry I was gone I've been in a slump of writing and reading but im slowly coming back to it!
Im trying my best to write as much as I can before my summer band starts late July!
