" You left and I cried tears of blood. My sorrow grows. Its not just that You left. But when You left my eyes went with You. Now, how will I cry?"

Levin POV
Walking home this late sucks. The weather is cold, strippers line up the sidewalks asking if I want a good time, and I have to ignore every single one of them.
I sigh and breath into my hands to warm them up. I take a breath through my nose and suddenly I freeze, my eyes go wide as I turn to my right, finding a man staring at me a hood covering his face.
He notices that I see him and he smirks. "Well, looks like you saw me... oh well." He said as if it didn't matter.
"What do you want?" I asked, glaring at him.
"My boss has asked me to inform you of some info that you might find useful about your... allies." He said, grinning.
"Who are you talking about?" I asked, my mind racing. Who is this guy? Who's his boss? What info? This is so random that I don't know what to ask but the basic questions.
"The one that saved you, Vincent Valhalla." He said, scratching his beard. "You do know who he was back in the day... what he was?" He said, leading me on.
"No...." I said, waiting for the answer.
Just then, the man put his hand to his ear piece and nodded self consciously. "Yeah, got it... never mind, looks like you'll have to ask yourself, Crow." He said, turning.
"You can't just leave me with that!" I yell as he disappeared into the darkness of the alley he came from.
I grit my teeth as I turn and walk faster. Either someone's trying to mess with me... or that someone wants me to realize something important... and it has to do with Vin...
Now that I think about it...
Who is Vin, exactly?
Touka POV (now for the part you've all been waiting for!)
The snap produced from Sasaki's finger echoed through the whole empty room I was placed for the past two weeks. The place reeked of garbage and blood, so my kakugan was always out, which strained my eyes.
Sasaki was across the room, poking at his stomach, which was healing even faster than I've seen from him before. It was twice more faster than back when he was Kaneki.
He looked up at Noro with a smirk. "Are you going to answer me?" He said, snapping another finger.
Noro didn't say a word, like usual. But instead Noro ran at Sasaki, swinging his kagune so fast I only saw a blur. But just as it was about to hit Sasaki, the dove was gone.
Noro looked co fused when he looked up, seeing Sasaki on the ceiling, his kagune stabbed into the roof to hold him. "That wasn't nice..." Sasaki mumbled, a small smile on his face that sent shivers down my spine.
He propelled off of the ceiling and spun around, using his kagune as a landing on top of Noro. Casually, Noro jumped out of the way, so Sasaki hit the ground sending rubble and dust everywhere.
Noro covered his face, as he was engulfed by the smoke, and I wasn't able to see the both of them. But after a few moments, I heard sounds like clanging of metals, echoing to my ears. I could only stare at the smoke which moved over and over with each shadow inside jumping around.
Suddenly, the sound stopped. Fear took over me. Not again, I don't want him to be taken again. I struggle more with the bandages and soon find myself breaking free, by then, the smoke lifts.
To my despair.
Sasaki lay on the ground, blood pooling around his chest area, Noro standing over him, doing nothing as I slowly walked up to him and crouched next to him, putting his head into my embrace.
"Idiot... your supposed to stay with me..." I mumbled, a tear coming off of my eye and sliding off of my cheek, hitting his face.
Sasaki POV
"She's crying." He said, looking up at the blank white sky.
Laying in field of red flowers, Kaneki, or me, sits behind me. We're back to back, both silent until now. "What do you mean?" I asked bluntly with a blank voice.
"Touka... she's... crying." Kaneki said with sorrow, a sore face on.
I look down at the floor, and put my hands full of flowers. Why are they red? Such a gross color of red too... blood red. Kaneki notices and sighs, picking a flower and smelling it with a peaceful face.
"If you know how to look at beauty behind what you actually see... that object or even person, can be beautiful." He said, his eyes a bit dull, giving me a side glance. "Don't you agree?"
I look over at him and stare. His white bait was a mess, and his suit looked worn and aged. His Kakuja mask covering his face was triangular and creepy. That's me, huh?
"What was I like, back then?" I asked suddenly, making him flinch.
Kaneki looked at his own hands. "Before or after I became a ghoul?" He asked.
"Both I guess... start from the beginning." I said, looking up at the sky, moving a bit so I could lay in the flower field.
Kaneki layed down next to me, and stared at the empty sky. "I suppose I was what you would call... weak... and pitiful. That's all anyone ever thought when they looked at the boy, alone, reading his books." He explained.
"But... when I became a ghoul... at first, I resented ghouls, thinking I had turned into a monster... which I won't lie, I had become one. Because I wasn't human nor ghoul... I was something different." He said sadly.
"I thought I could keep my humanity. I pretended to be okay in front of others, and soon it backfired from helping others instead of helping myself." He said, a frown growing on his face.
He placed his arm over his head, as if to block the sun when there wasn't one. "That was when I was captured by Aogiri... and endured torture from 13th ward's Jason, or Yamori."
A flash of a iron bolt cutter flashed in my head and I flinched in pain. My ear suddenly itched and my head spinner a bit, I could hear the funniest bit of scratching in it. I shook it off and listened more.
"He cut my toes off over and over, making me count down from 1000 by 7s. 1000-7... then he brought in a little girl and a mother, and killed them in front of me because I didn't have the strength to choose to save one. Thinking back, I should've just picked to save the girl, it would've been so much more simpler." He said bitterly.
(In the anime it's a couple, but in the manga, it's a child who gets strangled and a mother who is stabbed.)
"But that's just..." I mumbled, flashing memories going in my mind. My head started to hurt, but I still listened.
"Insane? Yeah... I guess I went a bit insane... well, not just a bit... I went completely insane once I was freed... Rize spoke to me, telling me that I was weak for being like my mother, weak for not being able to choose to help myself." He said, glaring at the sky as if it were his enemy.
"But when I broke out... I felt..." He looked over at me with a smirk. "Powerful."
I flinched at his choice of words. "Powerful?... but... why?"
"Because... I had accepted my ghoul side, accepted all of the bad and hate in my life and put in into strength." He clenched his fists, glaring at the sky again. "It was all I could do to protect my friends and those dear to me."
"That's bull." I said.
He flinched. Looking at me with surprise. "You never did that for them... it was secretly for yourself." I said, making him glare at me this time.
"What are you saying, that I didn't care what happened to them?" He bitterly said.
"No. They were your friends... so you saved them, so you couldn't ever be alone." I said, making his face go completely blank. "That's the truth to it."
Kaneki looked angry for a second, but suddenly pain spread across his face when realization hit him and he coiled up, hugging his knees. "I suppose... your right." He mumbled. "But... that still doesn't change the fact that I wanted to protect them." He said stubbornly.
"Yeah... but why protect them in the way you did?" I asked, tilting my head in the flowers.
Kaneki looked at his hands again and sighed heavily. "You know how to get in people's heads, huh?" He said.
"Well, I am practically you." I said bitterly.
Kaneki looked at me in surprise. "Are you saying..."
I stood suddenly, one flower turning a beautiful white. "I'm saying... I accept you... or... you have to accept me." I said, looking down at him.
Kaneki didn't know what to say, he couldn't find words. "B-But what about your life you created, the one you wanted to keep? And didn't you want me to stay in here forever?" He yelled.
"Why are you so surprised?" I said, making him flinch again as another flower turned white. "I'm saying that I'll give you another chance... I'll give us another chance." I said, a small smile coming to my face.
"But... that means... you'll disappear." Kaneki said, another few flowers turning white. "You'll be gone forever!"
"Then make me promise." I said, pointing at him, my finger almost touching his face.
"P-Promise?" He asked, looking confused, his mask starting to turn to ash, more flowers turning white.
I turn my back to him, and scratch my head, my cheeks a bit flared. "I-If you make her cry or hurt, I'll come back and kick your butt, you hear?" I said stubbornly.
Kaneki went wide eyed as I turned to him with a warm smile. "Besides... you can't deny that you-"
"Stop! It's embarrassing!" Kaneki said, his face turning a bit red, and at the same time, part of his trope half of his hair, turning black, like mine.
We both stood silently, in a field of red and white flowers, a beautiful mix of the two. I looked around us with a smile. "I like it this way, don't you?" I said warmly.
"Your a pain." Kaneki said with a smile.
"Well, I'm you, so you are a pain." I grinned at myself.
I look down at my hand, it has already disappeared. It was kind of sad, really... it was sad... but...
"Make sure you take care of all my friends too." I said, laughing a bit. "Saiko can be lazy, and Shirazu is a bit of a delinquent... and don't let Urie get to you, he's always under everyone's skin... Mutsuki can be shy, so be easy with him."
"Him? Isn't she a girl?" Kaneki asked in confusion.
"Ah shut it... you'll get my memories after this anyways..." I trailed off, seeing most of my body already gone. When I looked back at Kaneki, it was like looking in a mirror.
"Yeah... well... give that Noro bastard a nice beating for me, 'kay?" I said, scratching my head, turning and walking away into the fields.
Kaneki stood alone. He watched me walk away until I was finally gone, and he then opened his eyes.
No... I opened my eyes.
Touka POV
As Noro tried to haul me back into the seat, I clenched onto Sasaki, not wanting to let him go, and the tears wouldn't stop for some reason. Why again? Why did I have to see this?
Suddenly, a hand touched my cheek, and I opened my eyes surprised. When I looked down at the man on my lap, his silver eyes looking up at me with a familiar yet odd feeling.
He didn't say anything as he got up again, wiping the blood and dust off of him and facing Noro. He points at Noro and smirks.
"I promised someone I'd kick your ass..." He said, snapping his fingers and making his Kagune come out, two Centipede legs popping out with four extra limbs.
"So let's try the third round, shall we?"
(I couldn't make up my mind to let Kaneki or Sasaki have the body, so why not have them accept each other to produce the most badass half ghoul ever~! Nonetheless, I hope you enjoyed and have a wonderful day!) - MnMs171
