"Hey, is that him?" says a man covered in a jet black coat and shrouded with an aura of eeriness
"That's him, the one who's leaving soon for Wellston." says a man with electric yellow hair with a strand of blue going through it
"What a pity, he could have gotten stronger here than he can ever hope to at that school" says the coated man
"Well, what am I to say? he dwarfed me when he came here first, now he wouldn't even need a second to dispatch me. He says that there are people at Wellston who are quite strong."says the yellow man
"Well, I hope we can see him improve more, he is our hope at winning after so long, America hasn't won the tournament once" says the coated man as the yellow man sighs
"Yes, I think he can do it, he was able to defeat a god tier without even using his ability, and I still have a feeling that he hasn't even shown all that he is capable of. And that isn't even what makes this boy terrifying." says the yellow man
"God, don't remind me of that, the crimson lions camp was livid after that incident." says the coated man as he face palms
"Haha, well, he is going to be leaving tonight, I hear the new term at Wellston starts the day after tomorrow" the yellow man says as he looks through the glass at a black haired boy tearing through robots in what seemed to be a training exercise
"John Doe, truly this boy is different than any child that I have seen" says the man in black with an eerie tone
Both the adults take one last look at the amber eyed boy as he finished the exercise without a single scratch on him and a smile gracing his features.
Scene Change
We see a boy with Green hair looking at a school with an Orange haired boy and a red haired girl
"God, it was one year but it felt so long" says the green haired boy
"Yeah it was, so Rei what plans do you have now?" asks the Orange boy to the now identified rei
"Well, I am just gonna go to College, get a degree and see what to do from there" says Rei as he looks back at the two of them
"Now that I am gone, who'll be jack? probably Arlo" Rei comments as Orange and Red laugh
"Why are you both laughing?" Rei asks confused
"Cause I am the one who will become jack, he is gonna be here soon"says Orange
"WHAT? There's someone stronger than you who's coming to Wellston? but but you are a God tier Jason!" Rei said in disbelief
"I am a God tier, but the one who is coming can defeat me and Maggie together in a single move and knowing him, he is way stronger to" Jason said as he smirks, Maggie who had stayed quiet suddenly spoke up
"It has been a whole year since we last saw him, I can't wait to see him, who knows, maybe this time we will actually win." Maggie said as a smile graced her features
"A-am I seeing this right? did the ice queen actually smile?" Rei said in disbelief
Maggie had become queen the day she stepped into Wellston, she did what John did on his first day and got herself the reputation of someone who shouldn't be messed with, she never smiled infront of anyone so she was labelled as 'the ice queen' which was quite ironic due to her ability
Jason breaks down laughing "God Maggie, there other things except Kuro ya know? you basically only smile when he's involved at this point" Jason says as Maggie looks down as she hid her blush
" I just miss him so much...." she says as her eyes get a look of sadness
"Hey, he's coming for the new year, we are gonna meet him soon" Jason says hoping to cheer her up
"He-hey Jason, what kind of guy is he?" Rei asks as he wondered what kind of guy can defeat to god tiers at once while also making the ice queen blush
Jason remembers all his times with John as he says
"He is certainly different, he helps people become better and always encourages you to become stronger.
He is very strong, I won't go as far as to say he is a paragon but, he does whatever he thinks is right
. His personality isn't something I will ever understand, he acts differently so often, sometimes he is jokey, sometimes he is brood.
Its impossible to get a read on that guy, but he also someone you love to be around, he enjoys fighting,like a lot.
It's weird but he is the kind of guy who once you start hanging out with and just lose track of time. At least that's what I think."Jason finishes as Rei looks at him
"I don't get it at all, I wish I meet this guy someday" Rei says as he looks at the setting sun and Jason smirks
"I think you both will get along if you did meet" Jason says as he looks at the sunset to as they both look back at Maggie finished up the last of things at the school and they all went there separate ways
1 day later
a plane is seen landing on the airport, from new york to Wellston, a boy with black hair is seen walking out of it with a bag and walks down the plane and gets outside the airport
"So this is it huh, Wellston" John comments as he sees the place he saw in the comic
'I can't wait to meet Claire, Jason and Maggie again!' he thinks with a smile as he made his way to Wellston, the school was closed as the term was starting tomorrow, he made his way near it as he sees a brown haired man standing outside
"I assume you are John?" he asked me as I nod
"Great, I am Keene, I am the head of security here, if you need help then please ask me" he says as I nod again and he proceeds to take me inside
"I will be taking you to Headmaster Vaughn and he will be briefing you with stuff but before that I need to check your level" he says again as I nod again
"Geez kid, say something, your leaving me unnerved here" he says as I chuckle
"Sorry about that, just a bit tired from the flight" I say as he nods
"Normally we wouldn't need to do this but since your a special case you can get settled here today" he says as I respond with an ok
he takes me to the gauging machine as he takes my level
"13.2.... dear god the head master wasn't joking when he said you were strong" Keene says exasperated as I chuckle at his reaction
He quickly writes it down and takes me to Headmaster Vaughns room
I quickly yoink his ability, Gravity manipulation with a level of 10.4. Quite strong, I haven't met anybody except myself with a level over 10 yet.
"Hello John, I am Headmaster Vaughn, it is nice to meet you." he quickly introduces himself as I shake his hand back
"The pleasure is mine sir, may ask why I was called today? I thought the first year kids in the dorms were settling in from tomorrow" I asked as he says
"Well, The New York eagles gave me a call that someone with a level over 10 was coming to my school, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to meet such a kid" he said as I respond
"Thank you Sir" I say as he looks back at me and asks
"So may I ask why you picked my school? someone of your caliber would have been better to stay at the Eagles correct? so why bother coming here?" he asks with a face of seriousness, ah so that's what he wanted
"It isn't anything deep, this is a really good school and my best friends are all attending, plus I believe that I can grow more here with them then I can at the facility" I explain as he raises his eyebrows
"Really? the facilities of one of the greatest training centers is worse than training with a few friends of yours?" he says with narrowed eyes as nod
"Training with robots was boring, training against people is different, I learn better that way, the people back at the eagles were pretty weak compared to my friends, I am pretty sure they have been training restlessly since we last met to. It was also a promise I made to them that I would come here" I explain to Headmaster Vaughn as he sighs
"Very well, please try to keep your ice dragons in check we don't want to make a tundra in the middle of summer" he comments as gets up, GODDAMNIT WHY DOES EVERY HIGHER UP BRING THAT UP
"Don't worry Sir, that was just a one time thing" I say with a chuckle, truly a fire dragon would look much cooler.
"Well if that is all, Keene, can you please show him to the dorms?" Vaughn says as Keene nods and I follow him
"This is the first year dorms, your dorm number is 101. This is your private place but if the place is destroyed or any damages are found, then you will be charged. If that is clear then I will be leaving." Keene says as I nod
"It's clear Mister Keene, thanks for the help" I say as gives me a nod and goes on his merry way
I wonder who my eventual roommate will be
I shoved that thought to the side as I walk into the room and claim the room farther from the washroom, there were two rooms, one near the washroom which makes me pity the person who will live there and one farther.
I threw my bag on one of the chairs and set my trolley on the ground, I will unpack later.
I started to change, I took off my shirt and was about to take off my pants when I hear someone open the door
"Who i-" a girl starts to speak as my neck snaps to her, she has wide eyes, I have wide eyes.
WHY THE FUCK IS THERE A GIRL IN MY DORM AND MOST OF ALL WHY THERE ANYONE HERE, THERE WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE ANYONE UNTIL TOMORROW
the girl screams bloody nightmare as she slams the door and asks
"Wh-Who are you! why are you in this dorm! there isn't supposed to be anyone here till tomorrow" she says as I respond
"I-I can ask you the same" I respond as I stop changing and put on my shirt, I open the door as I see a girl with Magenta hair, I quickly check her level and ability, oh shit its seraphina.
"Uhm, excuse me, I have my shirt on now, you can come in" I say as she does
"So uhm, what are you doing here?" I ask as she says
"what do you mean 'what am I doing here?' this is my dorm." she says as I sigh and say
"This is my dorm..... well shit" I realise
"This must be a mistake, there's no way they give a guy and a girl the same dorm" I quickly say as I move to the door and start walking to headmaster Vaughn's office
"Yes, I will be coming to. I cannot believe that a school as prestigious as Wellston made such a mistake" she says as I nod
"By the way I am John, nice to meet you" I quickly introduce myself
"I am Seraphina" she quickly says as I say
"Ok Sera, lets go to headmaster Vaughn's office and discuss the issue real quick, I am very tired from my flight" I quickly say as me start moving to Vaughn's office as she glares at me
"My name is Seraphina, refrain from calling me by such silly nicknames" she says like a haughty rich girl as I sigh
"I am not calling you Seraphina, it's to many goddamn syllables, either take Sera or a worse nickname, the choice is yours" I say as I swear I could see steam coming from her ears
"H-how dare you!" she screeches as she uses her ability to stop time which doesn't stop me as I yoinked it the moment I saw her
"H-how" she says as I shrug
"I really am tired right now, I had pretty strenuous training session, then a flight with terrible food and now I am having to deal with this non sense, I don't have the time or energy to fight you, so please calmly come with me to his office so we can get this done, ok Sera?" I say as she gives up quite quickly
"How did you resist my timestop? I am a god tier!" she says as I say
"I am a god tier to, as for how? I just copied your ability" I say as she opens her mouth to say something but quickly closes it
we walk in silence for a bit, due to the huge size of the campus, I got fairly annoyed from just walking in silence
"So uh, you got any hobbies?" I ask as she shrugs
"Studying" she says as I just look at her
"Anything else?" I ask in the hope that maybe she wasn't as sad as I thought
"not really, I don't see much use in things except studying and training. I consider studying my hobby as I enjoy it a fair amount" she explains as I nod at her
we walk in silence for a bit as she says
"What about you? do you have any hobbies?" she asks as I shrug
"Mainly training, cooking and guitar" I say as she hums in response
Ok, I am bit confused now, wasn't the seraphina currently with me supposed to be like super cold? why is she okay with me just having a casual chat with her.
"So why'd you decide to come to Wellston?" I ask her as she just responds
"Didn't have much of a choice, my parents forced me" she replied as I just let out a Ah
"Well, i hope we both can be get along and be friends, maybe that will help make your time here better eh?" I say as she looks at me with wide eyes
"You would like to be my friend?" she asked, I more surprised that she didn't say something along the lines that she doesn't need any friends
"I mean yeah, it's pretty chill talking to you plus having some friends doesn't hurt anybody" I explain as she just nods, I could swear I saw he mouth turn upwards but I wasn't sure
"So John, why did you come to Wellston?" she asks me as I respond
"I made a promise to my friends that I will come here, that and it's very good school" I say as she looks at me and says
"You have friends?" she says as I look at her and say
"Wha- did you think I didn't have any friends?" I look at her slightly offended
"Ah, no no, I-I didn't mean that" she says a little flustered, again uncharacteristic for the seraphina I remember from the story but it might be because it has been so long since I read it and the fact that they didn't show much of this phase of hers
her reaction made me chuckle so I just say" Don't worry about it"
she looks down and nods, pretty damn cute
We have made our way to the office, the chat I had with her was quite nice.
"Ah John and Seraphina, what may I help you both with?" he says as I immediately start
"Sir, I think there might be a mistake with the living arrangements, I don't think me and Sera here are supposed to be in the same dorm" I quickly explain as he just says
"Be assured, this wasn't a mistake"he says as I stood there in shock, the hell is he trying to pull here?
"S-Sir, John is a boy and I am a girl, isn't it Uncouth for me and him to share a dorm?" she says as I nod at her words
"Well the problem is simple, since the dorms weren't supposed to open until tomorrow and you both a special students,I arranged a meeting with you, since the other dorms aren't completely cleared and cleaned from the previous year yet, we couldn't fit you in. Long story short, none of the other dorms are available forcing you two share a dorm. we have already finished the living arrangements and it seems that we can't change them now to." Vaughn explains as I just have a look of exasperation
'You have got to be shitting me'
"Well there shouldn't be a problem then, we both will just switch with someone else who might have been paired like us" I quickly say hoping that this isn't going to end up like an anime with me and Seraphina being forced to share a dorm but my hopes were soon crushed
"It seems that you two are the only pair who isn't the same gender this year, I am sorry but I do not think switching is an option either." Vaughn says with a smile as I look at him and I can only think of one thing
'THIS MF SET THIS UP, DIDN'T HE'
"Ok then Sir, I guess we can't do anything else" Seraphina accepts the situation quite easily
"W-wait Seraphina, aren't you like, uncomfortable with sharing a room with a boy?" I ask her as she just looks at me and says
"You're my friend so I don't mind" she says as I am just left exasperated
"O-ok then" I say as I am just befuddled that Seraphina considers me a friend even though I said it like 10 minutes ago
"Well, if that all is done, i suggest that you both get a look around campus or get your affairs in order, I still have a lot of work" he says as we both made our way out of his office
We both went back to our dorms and made our way to our separate rooms. I lied down on my bed and just thought to myself.
'Guys, we will finally meet again tomorrow!'
