"Best it's gon' be aight, just chill" Tech chuckled as he and Ari sat in the car in the parking lot of Dior.
Ari started pinching herself to calm her nerves. She was going to finally sit down and get to know Simone today and to say she wasn't nervous was an understatement. Ari has been ignoring her for the past month now and didn't know if she was mad at her for it or not.
She also still felt as if she was a burden and that she was this terrible soul that shouldn't be here. She didn't want to trigger Simone and she ended up hating her.
"I'ma tell, Kai, you still pinchin' yourself if you'n stop" Tech popped her arm. She sighed, stopping and pulling her sleeve down while looking at the door. People walked inside and out and she just couldn't do it.
"I changed my mind. I'm not ready" She shook her head, putting her seatbelt back on. Tech sighed "Best—" He was cut off by her phone that started to ring.

Ari slightly smiled and answered then waited for it to connect. "Hi, Pooda!" She chessed, happy he called. She missed him since he was out of town for work right now.
He chuckled "Wassup baby. Why are you still in the car" He raised his brow, causing the smile on her face to fade away.
"Mhm, tell him why we in this bitch runnin' my gas up like gas is cheap and shit" Tech spoke up causing her to glare at him from the side of her eye.
"I can't do it. I'm not ready, maybe another time" She shrugged. Ari wishes this could be easy for her but it wasn't. Even though Simone didn't abandon her, she still went through 19 years feeling like she did and it wasn't easy to just drop that within a few weeks.
Makai sighed "Suga we talked about this, you were ready this morning befo' I left. What happened?" He asked. She shrugged. "I-I thought I was ready but I don't think I am," She said.
"But you said you would try as long as you aren't alone. You got Tech and if you're uncomfortable he'll make y'all leave" He spoke gently.
"I spent years hating her, how am I supposed to go in there and act like I didn't?" She frowned.
"Nobody sayin' you have to, best but you can't hold that hate against ha' because it wasn't her fault just like it wasn't yo' fault for hatin' ha'. '' Tech said.
"Ari, take yo' ass in that damn restaurant!" ManMan fussed, coming into the camera mugging. Makai mugged him and pushed his head out the way.
"Shut up fa' you make ha' not want to go even more" She heard Jae fuss.
"Exactly, tryna make my baby uncomfortable and shit," Makai grumbled, Ari just laughed at them.
"Look, Suga. If you don't wanna go nobody's gonna make you and you can try anotha' time when I'm thea' or sumthin' "He assured her. Ari looked at Tech who just shrugged.
She looked at the door again watching people walk in and out "I-I'ma do it. I'll go in" She sighed.
Makai smiled "Prada you. Tech gonna be wit' you so you'll be aight" He said, she nodded taking her seatbelt off. "Okay, lemme go befo' I changed my mind again." She chuckled as Tech killed the engine.
"Aight, remember jus' take yo' time and don't go in thea' blaming yourself fa' stuff you can't control" He reminded her already knowing she blamed herself for being in the world when she shouldn't be.
She nodded "I'll try, I love you" She smiled.
He chuckled "I love you too Suga, I'll see you tomorrow" He smiled before hanging up.
Ari smiled, she loved to hear him say that because nobody has ever said that to her before. It felt nice to be loved and in love instead of hated.
She looked over at Tech who was just mugging her "Yall disgust me. Exactly why I'on come around y'all mothafuckers" He grumbled, getting out of the car.
She started laughing, they really needed to find his hater self a girlfriend.

"So I get my cookin' skills from you?" Ariyah chuckled, pushing her plate away after she finished eating.
Simone scratched the back of her next "I'on know about allat na'. I can cook but baking has never been my strong suit" She chuckled.
Tech nodded his head, agreeing with her "I still remember she burnt my birthday cake when I was 13. I've never seen a pitch-black birthday cake befo' " He shook his head, and they both laughed.
"It sure did. Been getting their birthday cakes from Sams and Kroger ever since now I can come to you" Simone chuckled, and Ari nodded agreeing.
"That's just like me though. I can cook some things but Kai is a better cook than me and I'm the baker." Ari giggled.
So far the lunch has been going well. Ari was still a little nervous but she's like that with all new people but Tech has been a big help with reading her comfortably and bringing up topics to talk about. Ari has learned they have a lot of things in common, like liking certain things in common.
Ariyah couldn't help but feel a little jealous at the stories of Tech and Simone that they were telling and she missed all of that.
"He better know how to cook. I didn't waste my time teaching all of them for nothing when they were kids. Used to stress me out" She shook her head.
"So do you only make cakes or..."
Ari shook her head "No but they do sell more. But anything sweet like cookies, pies, kettle popcorn crack grapes, donuts. Oh and I make my own homemade vanilla ice cream" She explained.
"You gotta try ha' ice cream. It tastes better than the ones in the sto' " Tech shook his head.
"Your own ice cream?" Simone asked, shocked.
Ari smiled and nodded "Yeah, it goes good with the peach cobbler I make. They love it when I make it or when I make strawberry shortcakes," She explained.
The whole group loved her famous Vanilla ice cream and strawberry ice cream. It always made a lot of cake desserts pop. Especially when she makes ice cream cakes.
"When you open up, I want to be the first in." She chuckled as a busboy came to clear the table.
"So, d-do you know who named me?" Ariyah asked, she loved her name but if a rapist named her, she wanted to change it.
Simone smiled "Me" She chuckled, confusing Ari. She thought she passed out after her birth.
"I had a baby doll growing up. It was my only friend, the only thing I would talk to after my father passed away. Her name was Ariyah Amoura, I guess whenever they did the birth certificate when I passed out, they just named you after my doll. Even though I was already going to name you Amoura since I always loved that name" She explained, Ari sighed in relief.
"The doll was your only friend?" She asked, she nodded "I wasn't a talkative child and didn't get along with other kids. Then after my father passed when I was 8, I went mute. I was a daddy's girl and he was the only person I really engaged in conversation with," She said.
"He actually came up with the name Ariyah since that's why he wanted to name me but my mom named me Simone instead" She added.
"What about my last name? Should I change it?" She asked.
Simone laughed "No, it's actually my father's last name."
"She askin' all of this cause she thinks she reminds you of yo' stepfather" Tech chuckled and shook his head.
Ari was about to start pinching herself until Tech popped her arm already seeing.
"You don't. You don't even look like him which is weird but not really that weird. You look like my father honestly but my stepdad and dad were brothers so" She shrugged.
They both started choking on their drinks "Brothers?!" Tech asked, looking at her crazily while Ari was still trying to catch her breath.
Simone nodded "Nasty ain't it? My uncle was my stepdad" She shook her head.
"I-I'm so sorry. I know that I wasn't— Stop it. Your innocence in all of this. I don't regret having you, just regret not moving out of state when I got pregnant" Simone waved her off.
"Move outta state ma?" Tech chuckled.
"Hell yeah. I may have been young but I would've been found away if I knew they were going to take her away" She sighed.
"Well... we're together now. We can start over" Ari slightly smiled, causing Simone to smile as well.
"I'll love that."

"Okay y'all, so my boyfriend is like 5 minutes away from the house or whatever. I know y'all be likin' when I do stuff to get on his nerves so I'm back'' Ari moved her shoulders up and down in the camera as she had it set up on the counter.
"I know y'all see that trend when you call yo' boyfriend someone else's name but I'ma switch it up. One of his pet peeves with me is when I call him his nickname. So that's what ima do hehehehe" Ari laughed.
She knew Makai was gonna be so mad but it was funny to her. She doesn't understand why she can't call him Bullet like everyone else.
"The video is 3 minutes but hopefully I'on run out of time. Pooda when you see this I'm sorry hehe"
"I'm that girlfriend that gotta keep her man on his toes! You feel me? Nobody ever tries him but me hehe. My man ain' neva' gon' be caught lackin' cause of me." She smiled and started doing the stiff hip dance.
She started thinking what if he shot her but Kai would never. He loved her and never would actually hurt her.
She froze when she heard something then smiled when she heard it was the garage. She hid the phone a little that still give a clear view of everything.
She put the broom down since she was sweeping the kitchen before walking to the door to wait for him. A few moments later, Makai walked in the door mugging but smiled when saw Ari smiling.
"Poodaaa! I missed youuuu" She hugged him, bringing him down to her level of height. He laughed, hugging her back while she kissed his face saying she missed him. "I missed you too Suga, but you're chokin'' me," He said, causing her to quickly unwrap her arms from his neck.
"I'm sorry Bullet" She frowned, moving away from him.
"It's— What you jus' say?" He smiled at Lucky jumping on him and picking him up. "You need a bath" He chuckled as Lucky was trying to lick his face.
"Tell Bullet it's his turn to bathe you and clean your teeth" She rubbed Lucky's head trying her hardest not to laugh.
"Yo.. what you jus' call me?" He looked at her funny, she frowned her eyebrows giving him the same funny look "Your name" She said and closed the door behind him since he didn't close it.
"Word? Say it again, I think I'm hearin' thangs" He said, putting Lucky down on the floor.
"Bulle— What I do?" He asked confusedly, cutting her off.
"Nothing," She shrugged, walking back into the kitchen. "So why you callin' me dat? You kno' you'n call me that" He mugged her, following her into the kitchen.
"It's just a name Bullet—" He grabbed her back by the neck causing her eyes to widen. This wasn't supposed to happen.
"Chill the fuck out Ariyah forreal," He said seriously.
Ari couldn't help but bust out laughing "Pooda it was for tik tok. Calm down" She giggled, pointing to her phone on the counter before moving his hand away.
"Tik tok gon' get yo' ass shot. Keep playin' wit' me Amoura" He grabbed her neck again and pecked her lips a few times before letting her go.
She shook her head, going to grab her phone "Now tik tok gon' be thinkin' you be beating on me, in reality, I be whoopin' yo' ass" She mumbled the last part and ended the recording.
"Beatin' who ass? Last time I checked, you were 'bout ta' start cryin' last time." He smarted, getting up on the counter.
"Get. Off. My.Counter.Boy!" She fussed, popping him after every word. "Aight, chill out" He laughed, getting off the counter.
"Always doin' somethin' damn" She grumbled, wiping off the counter with some soap and water. She knew he wasn't dirty; she just liked to have everything cleaned and organized. It also keeps her mind clear that everything was clean for when she bakes and ships off packaged cookies to customers.
"My bad, miss OCD" Makai grumbled, going around the island and sitting on one of the bar stools.
"Stop saying that. I don't have that." She rolled her eyes. Just because she likes to clean, all of a sudden she has OCD. She didn't think she did, she just liked to have things clean and put together, especially since she didn't live alone anymore.
"Ima find me a new man that appreciates my cleaning" She joked, trying not to laugh at his face that he was making.
He sighed, taking his gun out from the side of his pants. He took the safety off and placed it on top of the counter and then tilted his head to the side. "Come again?" He asked, blankly looking at her.
"Crazy ass." She mumbled "Don't you just love being with a crazy nigga that's not toxic? Makes my coochie wet" She sighed happily looking at him. He tried to hold in his laugh before busting out laughing.

"Dang, how y'all finish so fast?" Ari asked, shocked looking at the blueprint from his resort on his laptop while he lay in between her legs, playing the game.
"Shit!" He cursed when he messed up Ari guessed "It's not done. He asked for my vision and I'on have a full-on vision with just a few details right now and with the one, I gave him that's what he did" He explained.
"Maybe you should start writing them down in a notebook so you won't lose the ideas of minor ideas you have in your head" She suggested. She knew how sometimes he could change his mind or forget. When he talks to her about it, he forgets he even told her certain ideas because he forgot about them.
"Yea, I think that's what I'm sta—YOU STUPID BITCH!" He picked up the tv remote and threw it at the tv causing her to jump.
"Makai" She frowned. He took these games way too seriously sometimes, she always caught him throwing something when someone on the game pissed him off.
"I'm sorry Suga" He kissed her thigh before going back onto the game. She shook her head and started playing in his hair.
"Soo, does this mean you're going to be leaving more often now that everything is coming to play?" She asked.
"Nah, I mean we can really do the plannin' and shit over the phone and zoom. He got daughters back at home and i'on wanna take up too much of his time with him comin' back and forth" He shrugged.
"Why? You must be missin' me" He chuckled.
"I do. I'm used to being with you all the time so when I'm not it's kinda weird" She said truthfully. It was no shame and Ari game, she missed him a lot and it was not even a full 48 hours. She was extremely attached to Makai, she just hoped it didn't turn into an unhealthy attachment.
"You can come wit' me next time I have ta' go baby" He paused the game to turn around and look at her.
"Okay" She smiled happily, she had absolutely no problem with going with him. Makai was her peace and her only source of peace beside baking so it was only natural for her to want to be the person that brings her so much peace.
He leaned up to kiss her lips before going back to the game. She yawned, covering her mouth. She was starting to get tired but didn't want to go to sleep since she knew he'll still be up playing the game.
She started to doze off until her eyes popped back open when she remembered she had to tell him something. "Pooda, I bought a rose" She blurted.
He instantly paused the game, putting the remote to the side and slowly looking back at her, of course, mugging the mess out of her "You what?" He continued to mug her.
She furrowed her eyebrows "I bought a rose. Why are you actin' like that?" She asked, confused by his little attitude.
"Why do you need that when you have me? I ain' enough fa' you? I put you straight ta' sleep every time but you wanna get a fuckin' rose?" He asked clearly with a full attitude.
"First, I can do whatever I want with my money and if I wanted it, I can buy it." She said calmly, he sucked his teeth.
"Anyways, back to what I was saying. I bought it and—and I remembered how we were playing never have I ever that one time you said how you liked toys" She said kinda nervously.
"You want me ta' use the rose on you?" He smirked, she covered her face in embarrassment "What you get shy for!" He laughed, fully turning around to pull her hands from her face.
"Because! i'on know. This is all knew ta' me and I just saw a girl talking about it on tik tok and I wanted ta' see what that was like" She shrugged and started to pinch herself out of habit. He was making her more nervous with the stare he was giving her.
He chuckled and pecked her lips "Baby if you wanna try something you can jus' say that and we'll try" He rubbed both of her arms for her to loosen up a little.
"Are you into BDSM?" she blurted, he instantly stopped touching her.

"What do you mean?" He asked, sitting crisscross applesauce in front of her.
