I worked at the Christian preschool/kindergarten I had gone to during my gap year, the year after I graduated high school, at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. All of my friends had gone off to school and I was working with 5-year-olds and 50-year-olds. These poems were how I coped. A young adult with no one.
