The air was tense, no words exchanged between them, they knew something was about to happen, something big.
They all quickly changed, their uniforms and haori's thrown on, their katanas strapped to their hips.
Right as they were about to head to the Ubuyashiki estate, (Y/n) paused, "Wait, the trio, I need to get them!"
The other Pillars were about to stop him, but he had already run towards the Butterfly Estate.

"Tanjiro! Zenitsu, Inosuke!" (Y/n) yelled, slamming the door of the Butterfly Estate open, quickly rushing in, internally apologizing for wearing his shoes in.
(Y/n) sensed they were upstairs, quickly making his was there. Time seemed to be moving in slow motion as he ran to the trio, opening the door with a slam.
There he saw them getting ready, sliding their katana onto their hips, Tanjiro being the one moving the slowest.
"Zenitsu, Inosuke, go to the Headquarters, assist the Pillars." He ordered, Zenitsu and Inosuke immediately running out, (Y/n)'s tone not leaving any room for debate.
Tanjiro looked borderline ready to cry, his hands shaking as he tried to fix his belt properly.
(Y/n) sighed to calm his own panicked adrenaline, going to Tanjiro slowly.
"Tanjiro?" (Y/n) placed his hand on Tanjiro's shoulder, Tanjiro inhaling sharply. "Are you okay?"
Tanjiro exhaled shakily, before opening his mouth to speak, "I'm angry, scared-" He shook as he tried to get the words out, "-incredibly scared."
(Y/n) nodded his head in understanding, grabbing his belt and fixed it for him, "Well, what's something you want to do after we defeat Muzan?"
Tanjiro didn't skip a beat when he answered, "I want to go home. Back where Nezuko and I grew up."
(Y/n) hummed in thought, "Then after this battle, I promise to take you there!" (Y/n) smiled.
Tanjiro removed his eyes from the floor, looking at the Hashira next to him, admiring his courage, before letting out a brave smile of his own.
"Now!" (Y/n) grabbed his katana, handing it to him, "We cannot delay! We must join the fight!"

Once they'd reached the Ubuyashiki house, little remained of what it used to be, no one in sight.
Tanjiro sniffed, "Wait..." He walked forward, into the rubble, (Y/n) following him.
As they walked, they saw remnants of what used to be an envious estate, the smell of smoke and burning flesh making them hold their noses.
But then they saw it.
A shoji door, wide open, on the ground.
"There is a strong scent coming from those doors, multiple demon scents." Tanjiro pointed to the open doors.
(Y/n) nodded, walking forward towards the door, Tanjiro following him.
They were right in front of the open doors, looking down, there was a void leading down.
(Y/n) grabbed Tanjiro's hand, "Let's go."
Tanjiro and (Y/n) both jumped into the shoji door, the doors shutting sharply above them once in.

Once (Y/n) landed, he realized he got separated from Tanjiro, instead dropping into a room with a bridge and water under it.
His eyes widened as he took in the sight in front of him, blood staining the wood, and a demon with rainbow eyes holding a weak Shinobu.
Inosuke and Kanao were also there, powerless to watch as Shinobu was about to be devoured.
They, nor the demon, seemed to notice that (Y/n) had arrived, (Y/n) grasping his katana.
"It won't matter if you devour me-" Shinobu rasped, coughing up blood, "-I injected you with enough poison to kill every demon in this castle." She smirked, Douma chuckling.
Right as the demon opened his mouth, (Y/n) made his move.
In a flash, he was running right at the demon, his eyes engraved with, "Upper Moon Two".
"Total Concentration, Shadow Breathing, Fourth Form, Gloomy Shade!" He yelled, cutting through the demon's arms, making him drop Shinobu's frail form, (Y/n) catching her right in time.
Douma's eyes widened as a male with (h/c) hair cut through his arms, making him drop his next meal.
"Take care of him, I will be back!" (Y/n) ordered, running out of the room, leaving the wounded Douma to the duo.
(Y/n) ran out in a flash, the wounded Shinobu feeling blood rush from the wound on her chest.
"Hey! There's our next meal!" A barrage of demons came from the shadows, (Y/n) pulling Shinobu closer to his chest, before taking in his surroundings.
None of the demons around him seemed to be powerful, but they did surround him.
(Y/n) gently bent down, everything moving in slow motion.
As he gently set Shinobu down on the ground, the demons all rushed forward, pouncing at them.
Shinobu's purple eyes blinking with tears in them, before (Y/n) stood back up, putting his hand on his katana.
Right as a demon was about to dig his claws into (Y/n)'s back, it felt a sharp pain in its arms and neck.
The demon's sight turned lopsided, his eyes widening as he watched his arms, having been cut off, fall to the ground disintegrating.
One by one, each of the demons in their little group was slayed, each of them having their heads cut off without mercy.
Blood splattered all around them, staining the wood of the fortress, the demons letter out cries of pain, their last sight being sharp (e/c) eyes cutting them down.
In but a moment from when the barrage started, it ended.
(Y/n) stood victorious, no wounds on him, the demons all spewing curses at the male before they disintegrated. Blood disintegrating off the male's katana and face, before he sheathed it with a click.
With the smell of blood and ash in the air, (Y/n) quickly ran back to Shinobu, who was barely grasping onto life.
(Y/n) slowly bent down, sitting so his feet were under him, gently putting Shinobu's head on his lap.
There was blood pooling under her, pouring from the wounds on her uniform, staining her once vibrant haori.
Shinobu coughed up more blood, before smiling weakly, "I'm dying, aren't I?" She questioned the obvious, (Y/n) feeling tears well in his eyes.
Shinobu felt her own eyes fill with tears, blinking once as a tear slid down her blood-stained cheek, before fell to the ground below them, "My story is about to end but-"
She struggled to get the words out, trying to make herself as comfortable as she could on (Y/n)'s lap, letting out the biggest smile she could muster, releasing a shaky exhale.
"-I'm satisfied with where it's ending."
