"𝗙𝗨𝗖𝗞, how much did you buy?" I groaned loudly as I waddled into the room with the large urban outfitters bag.

"I did offer to hold it, you know." Alina said with bluntness in her tone and almost with an 'I told you so' expression.

I dropped the bag onto my bed and collapsed onto it, catching my breath. "I was trying," I breathed in. "I was trying to be nice."

She just chuckled to herself before leaning against the wall and began to untie her shoes.

I sat up after a few seconds of panting and pulled my own shoes off, letting them drop to the floor. I crossed my legs and scooted towards the bag as I then began to pull things out and fold everything just to be helpful.

"You don't have to do that." I heard Alina laugh. "Just leave it all in the bag, I'll do it later." She said as she pulled off her other shoe.

"No, it's fine." I grinned as I folded up the pretty yellow dress. "Knowing you, the bag will just sit there collecting dust for the next week." I joked, just as she sent me a harsh scoff.

"I would not." She glared as she finally came wandering over.

"Uhuh." I said simply with a smirk as I handed her a few of the folded up clothes for her to then put away in the closet.

She took the clothes from me with a grudge before obliging and turning towards the closet. I had no idea how she was going to fit the clothes in since she barely had any space left. My curiosity was alarmed, that was for sure.

I pulled pieces of clothing, out from the bag, piece by piece and folded each one while continuously handing them to Alina to put away. As the bag got to about midway, I couldn't help but frown at the khaki beanie. Alina never seemed to wear beanies. I pulled it out and then dug around some more where I then found a Moonlight Supernova shirt. The same shirt I had picked up.

I frowned at the items in my hand before lifting my head and looked at the back of Alina. "Hey, did you mean to get my stuff? I think you accidentally put them in the same basket as yours." I told her with a confused look.

She glanced over her shoulder at me and took a peak at the items in my hand. "Oh, no." She looked away and faced her open drawer. "Your stuff's there."

I frowned yet again. "But I didn't pay for it. I left it all in the changing room." I continued to tell her.

"Yeah, I know." She nodded and looked back at me for a quick moment with a smile. "I bought it for you."

"What?" Once again, my frown hardened. "Why? You didn't need to do that." I shook my head.

She looked at me, slightly pulling a face at my reaction. "It's fine." She laughed. "It wasn't that much."

I shook my head as I finally realised what she had done "Alina, why did you do that? Here, let me venmo you." I stood from the bed and pulled out my phone.

"What are you doing?" She continued to laugh at me. "It's literally fine. I don't care."

"Come on, what's your venmo?" I asked, brushing off her reply and pushed my phone into her hands.

"El, would you chill?" She looked at me with a funny look and pushed my phone back to me. "It's literally fine."

My eyes only softened and my lips slightly pouted. "I don't want you to pay for me. Come on, how much was it?" I continued to pester her, not wanting to back down from this.

"Ellie." She looked me straight in the face, now turning her whole body to me. "It's fine. Okay?"

I breathed out heavily from my nose and stared at her with a kind've 'why would you do that?' Look.

She laughed at me yet again. "Besides, I think there's something else in that bag that you might want to look at." Her voice almost hinted at something which only made me feel all the more defeated.

"No, what did you do?" I muttered slightly in feigned fear as I turned away and rushed over to the bag.

Dashing my phone off to the side, I began to dig through the contents of the bag. Yanking pieces of clothing out one by one, only narrowed the weight more and more until I finally locked eyes onto what she was most definitely, hinting at.

I looked from the bag to Alina with a stale face. "Are you kidding?"

She looked slightly hesitant but ultimately started laughing. "Look, I know you said you didn't want it but," she came rushing over after that and pulled the lingerie set out of the bag and held it up. "Look how cute it is!" Her voice was whiny and had a dash of stubbornness as she held it up. "And you literally looked so hot in it."

I sighed and shook my head at her. "I'm never going to wear that. Why did you buy it?" I asked her as I took it from her hands and chucked it onto the bed.

"You will someday." She argued. "You can't even lie, you liked it." She raised her brow at me and changed her stance while crossing her arms.

My tongue prodded into my cheek and my mouth opened to talk but no words left. I ended up just scoffing and shaking my head with a grin while looking away pathetically.

"See?! I knew you did!" She spoke loudly, practically clapping her hands at the fact she had proved me wrong.

"Okay," I spluttered on my words. "Whatever!" I exclaimed as I didn't even try to hide my large smile.

She just laughed at me even more after that and my cheeks couldn't help but redden.

"Oh, shut up!" I yelled out. "I won't ever wear it, mark my words." I chastised as I pointed my finger at her.

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say, El." She rolled her eyes while picking up some more of the folded up clothes and sauntered off back to the closet. "Your reaction tells me differently."

"Just because I like it, doesn't mean I'm going to wear it." I hissed at her as I turned back to the bed and picked up my phone.

"Uhuh, so you're just going to keep it and not take it back? No point in keeping something you aren't going to wear." She smirked to herself as I watched her pull open the bottom drawer and squish a pair of jeans in.

I hesitated before talking, slightly spluttering out words to try and spit a sentence out. "You can't even send underwear back anyways." I quickly defended myself as I hurried to the bathroom.

"Convenient, that is. Very convenient. Wouldn't you agree?" She teased as she looked up and over to me.

I was now stumped for words. I stood in the bathroom entry way just staring at her as I tried to think of at least something to say. My brain was just warped.

"I- you- oh, fuck you." I bit back as I turned away and slammed the bathroom door shut while hearing her laughter through the door.

I wrapped the cream towel around my body and allowed my skin to slightly dry before reaching out to my phone to turn off my music that was playing. Only after it had been paused, was when I continued to subconsciously hum along to the track; Post Break-Up Sex by The Vaccines. Noticing that I hadn't brought any fresh clothes in, I opened the bathroom door and went straight to the closet.

I sent a smile to Alina along the way there in which she returned and continued the very short walk there before reaching out and opening the doors. Summing up that I wasn't going to be doing anything else today, I just pulled out a pair of sweatpants and an old nirvana shirt to put on. I folded up my other clothes and chucked my underwear into the small hamper, that we had, and headed back to the bathroom.

I put the clothes on and left just as quickly as I entered it where I headed over to the vanity and began to brush through my hair.

"Hey, is it okay if Ty comes over tonight? It'll only be for a couple hours." Alina spoke up from her bed.

A grudge instantly prodded my heart, something that I never seemed to fail at feeling whenever his stupid name was mentioned.

"Yeah, sure. You want me to go or?" I asked while glancing over at her and still combing through my hair.

"Oh, no. Not at all." She shook her head, quickly. "We won't disturb you or anything."

I smiled before looking back into the mirror. "Yeah, that's fine."

I continued to get all the knots out before tucking my hair behind my ears and standing up. I picked up my towel, that I had hung over the chair, and walked with it back to the bathroom where I hung it over the door for it to dry. Wandering over to the sink, I crouched and opened the small cabinet beneath it where I grabbed my moisturiser and began pumping some of it, into my hand, to use.

I managed to smear some of it over my cheeks before hearing Alina come walking in. She walked up beside me where I watched her use the mirror, like me, to help guide herself in putting on some lipgloss.

I slightly pulled a face, something that she had noticed.

"What?" She asked while looking back at me through the mirror.

"Lipgloss, huh?" I asked as I continued my hand movements and rubbed my moisturiser all over my face.

"Duh." She replied back simply as I watched her guide the wand over her top lip. "It's his favourite."

Once again, my mood had dulled. It was pathetic honestly. And irritating. It just made me feel like an idiot. I mean, I acted like I had any kind of control when I so clearly didn't.

I didn't reply to her, only keeping to myself and my own stupid behaviour in silence and just made sure that all my cream was rubbed in.

"You know," she said as she rubbed her lips together and leant away from the mirror. She grazed her finger underneath her bottom lip to clear up the line before standing tall. "This color would suit you so well."

I looked at her through a frown. "I don't think so." I rubbed my hands on the hand towel to get off the excess cream.

"Are you serious? Come on, just a little." She tried to turn my head slightly, her hand lightly gripping my chin.

"No." I chuckled as I pushed her hand away and ignored the quicken of heart rate, that it gave me. "I am not wearing your boyfriend's favourite lipgloss." I shook my head.

She sighed and slumped her shoulders. "Okay, the way you said that just makes it sound like he wears lipgloss."

I laughed at the revelation of what I said and watched her lean back towards the mirror to fix up the sides of her mouth, once more.

"Besides, don't you think you've made me do enough today?" I eyed her with a smirk in which she just glared at me for, through the mirror.

"Fine." She shoved the wand back in the tube. "But if you won't let me put it on you, then you'll let me do this."

I watched her in curiosity as she pulled the stick out once again and began to write with it on the corner of the mirror. I stared in silence, feeling open minded towards her actions and read what she was doing as she was doing it. The stains of pink gloss configured into letters, only made me smile and look at her with a dumbfounded gaze.

"A plus E, hashtag besties." I stated exactly what was written to Alina, who just seemed the utmost proud, of her work.

"Isn't it cute?" She looked at me with a smirk.

"Oh, of course." I nodded as I admired her work with her. "The 'besties' really adds character." I told her, continuously nodding in the process.

"Well, character is better than thinking a ten year old wrote it." She said back, sending me a smile in the process.

"Oh, not at all." I exaggeratedly gasped as we both just snickered to each other while staring at the mirror.

My body warmed at the sight and it was a moment I really wanted to last forever. I doubted she had the same warmness in her heart that I did. I doubted she even debated on writing anything else other than 'besties'. Of course she didn't. That ideology sucked but I wasn't ready to sacrifice my own unrequited love for the harsh reality, just yet.

I felt her elbow nudge into my arm. "Besties for life, bitch." She giggled before exiting the bathroom.

"Okay, now you sound like a ten year old." I scoffed and called to her before looking back at the mirror, this time feeling a lot less warmth.

Yeah, besties.
