Everything was good until by accident, Bluey and Bingo switched breakfast. Bingo has Celiac Disease and she cannot have gluten. Within Bluey's breakfast there was gluten.
This incident had occurred before when she had to stay in the hospital for a few days. This was when Bluey and everyone made the movie Bumpy and the Wise Old Wolfhound.
Bingo began to feel really tired, she had a migraine, and she was having trouble in the bathroom. Bandit and Chilli called 000 and they took Bingo to the hospital. Bluey still had to go to school.
Bluey tried to be her usual happy self but she couldn't help but to worry about Bingo.
Mackenzie: "Hey Bluey. Wait, what's wrong?"
Bluey: "Bingo is in the hospital and I'm worried that she might die"
Mackenzie: "What happened?"
Bluey: "She ate gluten and she has Celiac Disease"
Mackenzie: "I'm so sorry that happened Bluey. I'll try not to bother you"
Bluey: "No your ok"
Bluey felt like crying but she didn't want to in front of Mackenzie.
Chloe walked over
Chloe: "What did you do to Bluey?"
Mackenzie: "Umm... nothing"
Chloe: "Your a liar"
Bluey: " No, he did nothing. Bingo is in the hospital"
Chloe: "That's awful Bluey"
Mackenzie: "I was trying to comfort her"
Chloe: "Oh, I thought that you did something to her"
Mackenzie: "Why would I do that? Bluey is one of my best friends"
Bluey: "I'm one of your best friends?"
Mackenzie: "Well yeah. Is there something wrong with that?"
Bluey: "No"
Chloe: "So what happened?"
Bluey: "Bingo ate my breakfast and she got really sick"
Chloe: "I hope she gets feeling better"
Bluey: "Thanks Chloe. Your the best"
Mackenzie decided to lighten the mood by purposely clearing his throat
Mackenzie: "Who are you calling the best?"
Bluey: "Chloe"
Mackenzie: "No their name starts with a M"
Bluey: "Mia"
Mackenzie: "They are a male"
Bluey: "Rusty"
Mackenzie: "Their name starts with a M and they are male"
Bluey: "Can't think of anyone"
And for the first time that morning, Bluey smiled
Bluey: "Oh, I know now"
Mackenzie: "Ok"
Bluey: "Maynard"
Mackenzie: "Who?"
Bluey: "The best"
Mackenzie: "You win Blu. I give up"
Mackenzie had managed to cheer Bluey up, but throughout the day, she couldn't help but to worry about Bingo
After school, Stripe, Bluey's uncle, picked her up after school. He took her straight to the hospital where her cousins Muffin and Socks were. Nana had also made the trip up from the Gold Coast. However, Rad and Frisky were not able to make it due to them going on holiday. Everyone stayed with Bingo until it got late and everyone left except Bandit and Chilli. Bluey went with Stripe and Trixie to stay the night at their house.
Mackenzie, Jean-Luc, and Lucky had touch practice after school. They had a playoff game in the coming day against a very good team led by a dominant German Shepherd.
Lucky: "Guys, we can't lose tomorrow. We have worked too hard"
Mackenzie: "Yeah but the other team is really good"
Lucky: "Yeah, but me and you are better than anyone on their team"
Jean-Luc: "Their German Shepherd is pretty good"
Lucky: "Don't worry Jean-Luc, we'll hold him in check"
Mackenzie: "Yeah, we will win. Don't worry JL. See you guys later"
Mackenzie went home and he relaxed as he read his collection of Footrot Flats comics.
The next day at school, Bluey was still worried. Bingo was still in the hospital and she hadn't gotten much better. Everyone tried to help her feel better, even Clover despite the awkward first interaction with her, but the thought of losing her sister was horrible.
Fast forward to after the school day and Mackenzie was walking to the field to get ready for the game when Bluey walked up
Bluey: "Hey, are you doing anything?"
Mackenzie wanting to be a good friend or for some reason oddly said...
Mackenzie: "No"
Bluey: "Well then if you want to, then you can come over. I'm going to my house because I can't stand the hospital. I just want some company so I won't be lonely"
Mackenzie: "Well...it's just that..."
Bluey: "If you have to do something than it's okay"
Mackenzie had to think for a second. At first, he thought it would be a hard decision, but once he realized he was choosing between a silly game or his relationship with Bluey, it was an easy choice.
Mackenzie: "No, I'm free. I know that it is tough with what you are going through right now"
Bluey: "You really are the best Kenz"
Mackenzie: "Now you'll admit it"
Bluey: "Yeah"
While walking with Bluey, Mackenzie got a text from Lucky.

Lucky: Dude where the heck r u?

Mackenzie hated to do it, but he ghosted Lucky because he didn't feel like getting into his absence
Bluey: "What was that?"
Mackenzie: "It was a text saying how nosy you are"
Bluey: "Mackenzie!"
Mackenzie: "Ok, it actually said that I should race you to your house"
Bluey: "Ooh ok"
Mackenzie: "Ready...Set...Go!"
The two dogs raced each other, renewing their friendly rivalry.
Despite Mackenzie being slightly faster, the race was still competitive as both breeds are very good runners. Mackenzie still won though.
Mackenzie: "Your never going to hear the end of this"
Bluey: "Oh yeah?"
Impulsively Bluey ran up to Mackenzie and hugged him, taking him by surprise. Bluey was taken into the black hole that removed her from the horrible reality of Bingo in the hospital. Mackenzie realized that he had made the right decision. While he couldn't help Bingo recover, he could help Bluey while just being himself.
After a few minutes, Mackenzie spoke up
Mackenzie: "I think we should take this inside"
Bluey: "Oh, sorry Mackenzie. Let's go in"
To Mackenzie, Bluey's house was so complicated that it was one of the best houses he had ever been in.
Bluey: "What do you want to do?"
Mackenzie: "Well it's your house and you have the sick sister so you can decide"
Bluey decided to watch movies while on the couch next to Mackenzie.
Bluey: "Thanks for coming over Mackenzie"
Mackenzie: "No worries that's what friends are for"
Meanwhile at the touch game...
Lucky: "Get him Jean-Luc!"
Jean-Luc tried to make a move on the German Shepherd but he blazed right past him for an easy try
Lucky: "Where is Mackenzie!"
Jean-Luc: "He seemed fine today"
Lucky: "If we lose, Mackenzie..."
Jean-Luc: "Hold up. Mackenzie could come back plus I bet he has a good reason to be gone"
Lucky: "He better"
Things got worse. Mackenzie was the glue to the team. Without him the team fell apart and the German Shepherd took advantage. The team had managed to keep it relatively close until the end when it all fell apart. Just like that, an undefeated season was over.
Lucky tried to keep it together, but he still kept cursing. Mackenzie better have a good excuse.
Lucky arrived back at his house and to cool off he decided to step outside. At the same time Mackenzie was leaving Bluey's.
Mackenzie: "See you Blu"
Bluey hugs Mackenzie again
Bluey: "Later Kenzie"
Bluey loves it when he calls her by that name.
As Mackenzie left Bluey's house he saw Lucky. He quickly looked away.
Lucky: "Mackenzie!?!"
Mackenzie tried to ignore him.
Lucky: "Get your butt over here!"
Mackenzie nervously turned around
Mackenzie: "Hey Lucky"
Lucky: "What the heck were you doing? We lost the game!"
Mackenzie: "Well...I...um"
Lucky: "You skipped our playoff game to spend time with your fake girlfriend"
Mackenzie: "Your one to talk about fake girlfriends"
Lucky: "At least I don't abandon my team to be with her"
Mackenzie: "It's just a game"
Lucky: "So you'd rather be with some stupid girl than instead of your boys who are trying to win a championship?!?"
Mackenzie: "Bluey's not stupid"
Lucky: "She probably doesn't even like you. She is just teasing you. Trying to see how hard you can fall"
Mackenzie: "Dude stop talking about Bluey"
Lucky: "Only idiots like you would go out with her. Maybe one day she'll realize her mistake"
Mackenzie: "Dude shut up"
Lucky: "Why would I listen to some guy who's simping for a Blue Heeler?"
Mackenzie: "That's enough"
Mackenzie threw the first punch landed perfectly on Lucky's muzzle. And so the fight began... TBC
