I was woken up by someone shaking my shoulders and yelling at me.
"Bitch wake up! You'll be late again!"
I opened my eyes to see my best friend, Lisa, standing over my bed and looking down at me. I groaned and pushed her away from me so I could get up from my comfortable bed.
"I'm up, I'm up. You can get out now." I said as I walked by her and into my bathroom. Closing the door I heard her mumble something about 'ungrateful little brat' and how I would be nowhere without her.
The last one may be true. I met Lisa when I fist joined Ros and his Mafia. We trained together and grew up together. She knows about my family and my legal business as a CEO in make-up company. I'm one of the richest people in legal world and strongest person in illegal world. And she was there for me through everything.
Finishing with my shower I turned the water off and wrapped a towel around my body. I stood in front of my mirror and looked at my scars all over my body from fights and missions I have done.
I get out of the bathroom and in to my closet to find my outfit for the day. First I have to be in my office because these new employees are useless and my older ones are busy with work because in about a month I will reveal my identity as a CEO to the world.
I chose myself an outfit for the work and matching black heals with it.
Her outfit ~
I got out of my room and head downstairs towards my kitchen. Entering the kitchen I find Lisa sitting on the chair at the counter and eating her breakfast. I sit by her and start eating my breakfast as well.
Lisa's outfit ~
"Lisa, what do I have on my schedule today?" Lisa is my best friend and my assistant.
"You need to fire a few new employees that are already working for someone else, basically spies." She said while standing up and putting her plait in the sink.
I groaned and stood up, also putting my plait in the sink, and walking to the front door with Lisa by my side.
I took my mat black Mercedes C300 keys and walked out to my garage. We got in the car and drove to my company. Of course we were a little late with the LA traffic but we made it.
Parking in to my spot right in front of the company's door, I got out with Lisa. We made our way in and right towards the lift. Some employees stopped and greeted us as we walked by.
Getting out of the lift on the top floor with Lisa behind me, we walked towards my office and sat down, waiting for my other assistant to get here.
Lisa and I made some small-talk until we were interrupted by someone slamming my office door open. I turned my gaze away from Lisa and glared at my, now, panting assistant Rose standing in the doorway. She quickly composed herself and entered the office, closing the door behind her, and sitting in the chair in front of me.
"Talk" I said in my coldest voice which could make a grown man pee his pants. It made Ros do it once. I shake my head to erase that memory.
"Miss, today you have to fire a few employees that turned out to be spies for Alex, your rival company." She said while putting down on my desk some papers with pictures of people and their description in it.
I took the papers and looked through them. I put them down and looked at Lisa who was sitting on the couch behind Rose.
"I need you to get me these people in my office in ten minutes." I said to her.
She got up, took the papers from my desk, and got out of my office. When she was out I continued to glared at Rose. She quickly looked away but I saw her starting to sweat from nervousness.
"You're free to go." She quickly got up and hurried out of my office. I leaned back into my chair and waited for Lisa to get back.
Not long after, she was back with five men and one woman, in my office. Because my office was in the top floor and see through, I fogged my glass walls so you can't see in from the rest of the floor.
I glared at them while talking. "You six are working for Alex. Right?"
They were sweating while in my office, everyone knows nothing goods comes from being in my office. They just nodded their heads. I continued.
"You see, the problem is that Alex is the CEO of our rival company, and you work for him. Who knows how much you stole from me and my company for him."
I signaled Lisa to call my bodyguards who are in front of my office, to come in and help with these scums. Lisa went out and came back with two of my bodyguards, who also happen to be from Ros's Mafia. They came in and stood by me.
"Get these six and get them in my mansion's torture room. Watch out so no one sees you getting out, use the back exit to the garage." I said and leaned back in my chair once again. I sighted as my bodyguards took the six away and I heard them mumbling something about being sorry.
When the doors closed Lisa broke down laughing.
"D-did you s-see their faces!" She stuttered while speaking through her laughs.
I looked at her as if she was crazy. You know what, she is crazy actually. I shake my head at her while getting up and out of the office. A few seconds later I heard Lisa walking by me.
We entered the lift again and pressed the bottom floors button. Walking out of the lift we exited the company and enter my car again.
I was driving us back home when I noticed some suv's following us.
"Put my phone on the car's Bluetooth and call Ros." I told Lisa as I made a turn trying to lose them.
She did as I said and a few seconds later we heard Ros's voice through the car.
"Hey girls! What's up?" He asked
"I'll tell you 'what's up', fucking Italian scums are following us again!" I yelled at him. I heard him sight in the other end before speaking again.
"Alright, just, get here." With that he hung up. Did he really hang up on me?
I pressed the gas pedal more and zoomed trough the city and in to the forest. Suv's stoped when they saw where we are going. I slowed down when I saw they aren't following us anymore. Moments later we saw Ros's Mafia house in sight. I parked in the front and got out with Lisa.
We got in the house and made our way to his office. I kicked the door open with my foot and walked in with Lisa.
"Hey Ros." Lisa greeted him as she and I sat down in the chairs across from him.
He didn't responde, he just continued to stare at the door.
"That's the fifth this month" he mumbled, while shaking his head. He finally looked at us after sighting heavily.
"Hey girls, what's up?" He asked us looking worried.
"Don't worry, they stopped following us when they saw we are going here." I said
He let out a sight of relief before becoming serious and looking at me directly. " I have some news for you"
"What is it?"
He took a deep breath before speaking.
"Your family found out your alive. The good news is that they don't know where you are." I felt my whole face drop. I burned with anger with just the thought of them. They abandoned me when I was two. They can blow me if you ask me.
I felt Lisa putting her hand over mine, that was grabbing the arm rest on the chair so hard it felt like if would break any second now, before speaking.
"Please say something Vic..." Lisa said.
I knew if I talked I would explode, so I got up and left the office, going directly to the gym. Lisa and Ros didn't try to stop me because they knew if they did it won't be good. I entered the gym and went straight to the boxing bag.
I punched and punched until I felt someone put their hand on my shoulder. I turned around fast and was about to punch who ever it was but they ducked in time.
Looking carefully at who it is I saw it was Xander, Ros's son and second in command. He grew up with me and Lisa. He is two years older than us but we did everything together.
He didn't say anything, he just grabbed my arm and dragged me upstairs into his room and into his bathroom. When we were in the bathroom he stood in front of me and picked me up by my waist and put me on the counter top.
He crouched down and pulled out a first aid kit before standing back up again. Xander grabbed me knees and pulled them apart and stood in between them.
"What are you doing?" I finally asked
"Shut up." He said without looking at me. Uh, rude... He grabbed my hand and put alcohol on my bleeding knuckles. I didn't even notice they were bleeding. When he was done he put everything away and picked me up by my waist again and put me on the ground.
I mumbled a small thank you and tried to leave his room but he grabbed my wrist when I turned around to leave and pulled me towards him. I hit my head on his chest and looked up at him.
"Uhh, can I help you?" I asked after a while.
"What happened?" He asked, looking in to my eyes.
I buried my head in his chest and sighted. I felt him put one hand on my waist and the other one on the back of my head while kissing the top of my head.
"My 'family' knows that I'm alive but they don't know where I am." I mumbled in his chest. I think he heard me because he tighten his grip on my waist before speaking.
"Don't worry, I won't let them get you."
I was thankful for having him, Lisa, Ros and the others with me now. They are my family just not by blood.
After a few minutes of just standing like that in comfortable silence we said our good night's and I left to Lisa's room.
Walking into her room I saw her sleeping in her bed. I closed her door and went in to my room, across from her, and laid in my bed.
I thought about why they would just now start looking for me? Why they abounded me? After a few minutes of me and my thoughts, I fell into deep sleep.
