Pandit ji: ek dusre ko varmala phenayi ye ( exchange the garland s )
Varmala means exchanging of garlands by the bride and the groom. It is made of fresh and pious flowers. In ancient times it was believed to be the acceptance ritual by the bride and the groom for the marriage.
Pandit ji: kanyadaan ke liye joda chahiye beta ( for kanyadaan you need a couple child )
"Avi , riddhi ao na ..." (Avi riddhi come na ) You called them " but y/n-ah they are not a couple" said Varun in between " oh they did not tell you ? ... They are dating for now nearly 3 years .... Kanyadaan is a Sanskrit word which literally means 'giving away the daughter'. And as the meaning suggests it is the tradition or ritual in which parents give away their daughter to the groom. The symbolism is deep-rooted in the belief of those of the Hindu community.
The ritual of kanyadaan takes place after the Varmala (exchanging of garlands). During the ritual, the father of the bride takes her right hand and places it in the groom's right hand.
After that, the mother of the bride pours sacred water on the palm of the father (of the bride), which flows through the daughter's and the groom's hand eventually. Mantras are chanted by the Pandit Ji throughout the procedure.
This is the standard method of doing the kanyadaan. But keeping in mind the diversity of people in India, there are certain diversions to the method as well. Sometimes, coconut or other things like betel leaf, rice, etc. are kept in the bride's hand (followed by the groom's) and water or milk is poured over it.
Every community has their own way of doing it, but the essence behind it remains the same for all. The emotion and feeling of that moment are similar for every parent giving away their daughter during the kanyadaan.
But in your case it was a brother and his patner giving away his sister to a person who they know will always take care of her
And then the wedding continues. A Hindu Indian wedding involves long and meaningful rituals that take place during the ceremony. Right after the kanyadaan, the sister of the groom ties the end of the bride's Dupatta to that of her brother's scarf. After that, other rituals like Pheras, application of Sindoor.....

The wedding ceremony is spread over days but the marriage is solemnised only after the groom and the bride complete seven circumambulations around the sacred fire (Agnikund). This ritual is popularly known as Saat Phere and traditionally called Saptapadi.
Saat Phere are seven vows taken collectively by the bride and the groom as they do the parikrama around Agni Dev by taking him as a witness to their marriage. This is called AgniSakhi.The groom leads his bride while doing the first four parikramas while the latter leads her man during the remaining three pheres.

THIRD VACHAN
The groom promises to work hard to earn enough wealth for the family and in return, the bride promises to effectively take care of the income and expenses.
FOURTH VACHAN
The groom promises to entrust the responsibility of his household to his bride and respect her wise decisions regarding the same. In return, the bride promises to fulfil her duties to the best of her abilities for a respectful living.
Now you were leading the phere
FIFTH VACHAN
The groom promises to consult his wife in all important matters. In return, the bride promises to support her groom in all his endeavours.
SIXTH VACHAN
The groom promises to remain committed and loyal to his bride besides considering her alone as his wife. The bride in return promises to remain faithful to her husband.
SEVENTH VACHAN
The groom promises to lead his entire life with is bride, who is not just his wife but his friend forever. In return, the wife too promises to spend her life with him until the very end.
The seventh phera focuses on accepting each other as life partners. The man says, "we are man and wife now. I am yours, and you are mine forever." The bride says that God has witnessed their union and that she will cherish and honour their relationship.
The groom says Om sakhi jaradastayahga
The bride says Attramshe sakshino vadet pade
Thus, by exchanging the seven vows, the groom and the bride become man and wife
Then it was Sindoor ceremony
During the wedding ceremony, the groom puts sindoor on the hair parting of his bride, thereby solemnising his sacramental union and making her his partner for life. Traditionally in India, the wife is referred to as a husband's Ardhangini, meaning better half. The ritual of sindoor application is one of the most important customs in most Hindu wedding ceremonies.
Jungkook took Sindoor from a coin and applied it above your forehead marking you his while your eyes were closed tightly
Pandit ji : Kanya ke chacha ko bulayiye choora vidhi ke liye... Beta ye vidh koyi aur nahi kar sakta isiliye puchna bhi maat ( call the bride's uncle and aunty )
You : pandit ji mere chacha nahi aye agr sirf chachi ye vidhi kr sakti hai toh chalega kya ? ( Pandit ji my uncle hasn't come if only aunt is there then is it ok ? )
Pandit ji : ha chalega ( yes it will do )
You called you emo upstairs to do this ritual while your mom was telling her how to do it but the bangles were brought by you samchon (uncle)
Choora (Bangle)
Choora is a customary ornamented bridal accessory enhance her beauty for marriage occasion. Choora is a set of 21 bangles in multi red and ivory color. It is offered to the bride by her maternal uncle symbolizing an embarking of a new loving life with a life partner. Hindu bride wears choora for continuously 40 days and later only husband gets it off from hand.
