I sat up watching Kai train Lloyd it was his turn for the day. He was letting Lloyd punch his hands while wearing mitten gloves.
"Good, keep it up." Kai responded making Lloyd punch even faster
"Ha! Fists of fury! Unh! You can't even see 'em move, I'm so fast! Ha!"
"Save the gloating. It can only be used against you by your enemy." Kai informed to which Lloyd rolled his eyes
"Oh, please. I'm ready to face whatever you throw at me." He kicks Kai until he is thrown backwards.
"Whoa, grasshopper. You're not even ready to face my pinky toe." Kai wiggles his left foot to emphasize his point. Behind Lloyd, Wu is observing the session.
"I see the student has become the teacher. You will learn fast, Lloyd, with lessons from the five ninja." Sensei spoke determined
"Great, now that lesson is over, how about some target practice...on Kai?" Cole smirked making Kai cringe
"You'll each get your turn, but first, I don't want you to be late for your next lesson with Nya." Sensei commented
"Aww, but when will I learn Spinjitzu?" Lloyd whined
"Patience. It will only be unlocked when the key is ready to be found." Sensei sighed while Lloyd groaned walking away to meet up with Nya.
"Sound familiar?" I smiling looking at Kai
"I wasn't that whiny." Kai replied quickly
"No, you were worse." Zane admitted making us all laugh except Kai
"Hehe. Guys, I know we're trying to prepare Lloyd for the future, but it's hard to give him the best training in these conditions." Jay brought up changing the subject
"Jay's right. I miss the Destiny's Bounty. Too bad it's gone." Cole sighed
"Hmm. I see your point. Perhaps we could find somewhere else to aid his journey." Sensei joined in

"It's time we search Ninjago City for a more suitable place to train Lloyd." Sensei said once we reached the streets
"Oh, but Sensei, Ninjago City is huge. It'll take us all day to find it on foot." Jay whined
"And without our Golden Weapons, we have no Spinjitzu vehicles. How are we going to get around town?" Zane asked
"You'll learn to travel with these." Sensei replied handing me a coin
"What are those?" Cole questioned eyeing it closely
"They can transport you anywhere you want to go in the city." Sensei answers
"Like a magic portal?" I responded flipping it in the air to trigger it
"Ooh! Or a Spinjitzu vortex?" Jay jumped up
Cole swiped my coin from the air "Hey! Get your own!"
"Hey, wait a minute, these are bus tokens." Cole sighed flipping it back to me which made Sensei chuckle leaving us to go to find a bus stop
A bus stopped in front of us after a couple minutes I took a seat in between Kai and Cole while Zane and Jay sat across from us. Lloyd for some reason sat in the very back.
There was a seat open next to Cole to which a girl in a blonde ponytail took giggling the moment she saw him.
"Oh great." I mumble earning Kai's attention
"Hey! Why isn't she sitting by me?" Kai asked only for me to hear
"Do you really want me to answer that?" I asked to which Kai glared but his expression softened nodding yes
"Your hair today Kai it's a little too crazy." I commented
"Well fix it." Kai replied making me roll my eyes
"I'm not your mommy Kai."
"Hmph" He sat back in his seat mumbling things under his breath
We finally arrived at our spot and I saw Cole give a wink to the girl before leaving. I'm actually gonna hurt someone
I looked at the sign "Grand Sensei Dareth's Mojo Dojo."
"This is where Lloyd is going to train?" Cole asked making me laugh a little "what?" He asked eying me confused
"I'm surprised you can even think of Lloyd after your little encounter on the bus. I didn't even think you would get off the bus honestly you were so preoccupied." I remarked smirking
"You're just jealous."
"Criticism doesn't always equally jealously Cole." I replied making him scoff
"Okay hehe, let's move on guys this is wayyyy better than our dumpy apartment." Jay laughed nervously opening the door
"Welcome to Grand Sensei Dareth's Mojo Dojo. I am Grand Sensei Dareth, and I Dareth you to join my dojo. Heeya!" He kicked up getting tangled in beads
"Uh." We all replied in unison this guy is a phony
He smoothly got untangled "Face the wall of karate trophies. If you look closely, my name is on all of them. That is because I am a highly skilled karate machine." Darryl pointed to all the trophies which I examined pretty fake but I won't crush his spirit
"Look, Dareth, we're wondering if we could share your dojo. You see, we've been put in charge of training this little guy to become the greatest ninja in all of Ninjago." Kai acknowledged Lloyd to which Dareth scoffed
"Not possible, for I am the greatest in the land. How many trophies do you have?" He asked
"Look, pal, we're the guys that just saved the city from that giant snake." Jay answered making me nod proudly
"Ha! Am I looking at Lord Garmadon? Because unless I'm stupid, and I'm not, Lord Garmadon destroyed the Devourer." Dareth shot back getting close to Jay
If one more person says Lord Garmadon saved the city I might actually lose it.
"That's been a huge misunderstanding. Actually, we were the ones who dest—" I began speaking up but he held up his hand to signal me to stop
"I'll let you train here but only on one condition. You can defeat me. If you succeed, we will share the dojo. Unh! That's right. I, Grand Sensei Dareth, master of all animal fighting styles, challenge one of you to a battle. I know the tiger. Rawrr. The python. Penguin. Awk, awk!" I quickly use Spinjitzu on him. "How did you—"
"You might know animals, but we know Spinjitzu." Kai replied proudly
"You can train in my dojo anytime." He bowed getting up

"When you strike with your fists, concentrate. You may be small, but you're strong." Cole said lining up 10 rows of wooden planks
I watched intently as Lloyd strikes the boards, making an earthquake. I along with everyone else gasps as we are flown back.
"That was the power of the Staff of Quakes. And you did it without the Golden Weapon!" I shouted amazed
"That must be why you have the potential to be the greatest ninja. You can harness all of the Elemental Powers." Zane answered smiling
"Really? Cool." Lloyd replied looking at his hands
"With this power, you must be careful. You must control it before it controls you." Sensei stated drinking his tea as Dareth walked through with wooden planks
"I have to admit, not bad for a kid. But instead of ten boards, how about fifty? Stack 'em, boys." He ordered the pupils to which Sensei Wu sighed
"And perhaps if I, Grand Sensei Dareth, can break through them all, you will allow me to join your team and become..." he puts on a ninja hood "the Brown Ninja!"
Me and Jay look at each other bursting out in laughter
"The Brown Ninja? You gotta be joking!" Jay yelled through our laughter
"Sorry, pal. Club's already full." Cole replied I slowly tried breathing normally attempting to not break into another fit of laughter.
"Okay, okay. Then maybe this demonstration of my superhuman strength may persuade you. Jeffy, Phil, are we ready?" He asked the kids next to him
"Yes, Grand Sensei Dareth." They replied in unison
"Observe. I call upon the greatest animal to give me strength, the Dragon. Heeyah!" He hits the boards, but screams in pain. Everyone but Jeffy and Phil, laugh at him.
After getting Dareth some ice we exit the dojo to see our ship?
"Oh, that's our ship!" Jay pointed
"But pirates?" Lloyd asked
"Pirates haven't been around for centuries." Cole replied
"I sense Lord Garmadon is somehow behind this." Zane answered
"Your probably correct." I reply sighing
"How are we gonna follow them?" Lloyd questioned
Kai holds out a bus token "Perhaps this can be of some use." The bus appears and we all climb on "I can't believe I'm saying this, but follow that ship!" The bus driver nods determined following the ship
"Ugh, I don't like the kid coming along. It's too dangerous." Kai stated as we all put on our hoods
"Please, please, please. I'll be super good." Lloyd begged
"The powers inside you are still too great, too uncontrollable." I noted
"One of these days you'll be able to join us. Sorry kid." Cole assured making Lloyd groan
We climb onto the roof leaving Lloyd inside. Just as we were about to grab the ship's anchor, the bus stops for an old woman to cross the street.
"Come on, people. We're trying to save the city here!" Jay shouted at the lady
"It's getting away!" Cole yelled
I watched as the bag rips open, spilling its content.
This is gonna be awhile.

"Oh! Please! Help!" I hear him Dareth yell from the ship
"Ugh, dang it, Dareth." Kai groans
"We need to get onboard that ship." I reply looking around
"Ah-ha. There are other ways a ninja can hide in plain sight." Jay points to a costume shop

"Hahaha! How about we have him walk the plank?"All the pirates laugh around us as Dareth walks the plank
"You're making a big mistake. Don't make me call upon the Dragon." Dareth said looking back
"We have to save him." I whisper to Kai
"We can't get close enough without blowing our cover." Kai whispered back
"Who here wants to see him go splat?" The captain asked to which the pirates cheer.
"Who here wants to see him live?" Jay says talking in a pirate voice making the pirates cheer, but die down in confusion.
"Hehe. The plank's getting shorter, huh?" Captain asks
"We don't need to do this, fellas. I'm a lousy martial artist. What I do, I wouldn't even call it an art. I know I'm a brown belt, but I painted it. And my trophies, they're all fake." Me and Jay groan as Dareth is pushed off the plank. "Aah!"
Once I saw the dragon I knew Dareth was safe making me nod so all the ninja could transform into our gi's "Ninja, go!"
"More pajama men?" The captain asks
"Uh a pajama women too?" I reply getting out of fighting defense to gain more confusion.
"Where? I can't see." The man in two eye patches responds
"Ninja versus pirates. Who will win?" Kai asks looking around
I pull out my bow and arrow not like my golden weapon but whatever
I climb up to the top shooting pirates from up high but what surprised me was Lloyd arriving I jumped down knocking over a pirate taking their sword.
"Lloyd! You're not supposed to be here!" I sigh fighting the Captain and quickly put Lloyd in a barrel but he accidentally pushed me to the ground.
"Oh yeah I just fell a whole deck" I groaned slowly getting up and stabling my vision
"Duck Y/n!" Kai shouted to which I ducked quickly avoiding a sword
My vision came into view and I picked up my sword defeating the pirate and attempting to get back to Lloyd
I quickly make my way over to Lloyd who is about to unleash an energy ball.
"Lloyd! Don't! Your powers are too uncontrollable!" I shouted in hopes he could stop
"Aah!" Lloyd yelled releasing the energy ball making the ship's mast fall on top of us all
"You lose, Pajama People." The pirates stood on top of the mast
"Huh?" We all face them
"Now you're walking the plank." The captain laughed
Nya, in her Samurai Mech, comes to put the mast back in place, freeing the ninja.
"Who wins between pirates and ninja? It's Samurai!" Jay smiled making Nya giggle

I grin as the pirates are being placed in police cars.
"Uh, that your ship?" The police asked
"It sure is." Jay answered
I was smiling until the ship powered up "Sorry, you snooze, you lose." Garmadon yelled
"Lord Garmadon!" Kai shouts
"Dad!" Lloyd shouted
"You're becoming stronger, son, but you'll never be strong enough to defeat me. Give up, before it's too late." Lloyd looks at the ninja before looking back at his father; he stands by his friends. "Have it your way. Another day, ninja. Another day."
"Ah, great. Lord Garmadon is back, and now he's got our ship." Jay muttered looking down
"Well, at least we've got this little guy." Cole replied giving him a noogie
