I tried activating my true potential and blow the sticks and leaves from the road but it was no use.
"Ugh, finally. All fixed up and Serpentine free." Cole smiled holding up a street sign
Kai tries to use fire and molt it together "Aargh. Ugh, this is frustrating." He yelled allowing the street sign to fall I quickly move out of the way.
"Our weapons are gone and most of our elemental powers are gone. I mean, we can still do Spinjitzu, but..." he grunts trying to use his fire again, but the only flame coming out was from Zane's blowtorch. "I just feel so, I don't know, limited. And thanks to the Devourer, our tank's out of commission, our Dragon's hurt, and now the Bounty is destroyed, we don't even have a place to sleep."
"No one ever said being a hero is easy." Zane concluded molting the street sign then taking off the welding mask "Though our good deeds may never make us rich, they make us rich in other ways."
"Yeah, well, I don't feel rich." Kai whined
"I for one enjoy pitching in. I've always wanted to feel part of a community. Uh, speaking of which, anyone seen Nya? She said she was gonna help." Jay began looking around with the rest of us seeing Nya arrive on a bike
"And I have. I may have found us a place to live."
"Really? But there's a waiting list a mile long to live in Ninjago City. How did you do that?" I asked overjoyed it's been tough I'm glad we might have a place to sleep.
"I know a guy, who knows a girl, and she knows this girl who knows a guy. Well, this guy knows a girl who's a real estate agent and she can help you find a place, if you catch my drift." She hands Jay a pamphlet.
"And where are you off to?" Jay questions
"We have to find a couple of components to fix the ninja tank. And my dragon ointment has finally arrived. It's a day's trip, but once we get back, he'll be flying again. Also, I love scenic drives. Haha, punch it, Nya!" Sensei grinned leaving quickly with Nya
This seems like an occurring trend with them...
"Patty Keys, Real Estate Queen. Huh, this is exactly what we need. Once we get a roof over our head, we can start properly training Lloyd." Jay decided
"Good, 'cause if we know Lord Garmadon, he's not going to be taking any breaks. And let's not forget, the Serpentine are still at large." Cole joined in

We enter the apartment it was the nicest way to say this. A complete dump.
"This one-bedroom, one-half-bath is a cozy dream. Who needs extras when everything is in arm's reach? Now, wait until you see the lighting." She turns on the light, but the bulb flickers, burns out, and falls to the ground. "Uh, who needs lights when you have this view? Heh." She proceeds to open the window blinds, but the view was actually a brick wall.
"Cute." I comment eyeing the area
"Uh, why do I smell old people?" Lloyd groaned
"Look, doll. I'm trying to work around your budget. This is all you can afford." Patty said clearly annoyed with Lloyd
"Uh, this looks...promising. Remember, guys, Sensei told us our main objective is to train Lloyd, not kick our feet up in some swanky suite. If this is all we can afford, this is all we can afford." Cole replied making me nod my head
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, let's not rush into any decision. I mean, if it's really all about Lloyd, don't we need to live in some place that'll make training easier?" Jay argued
"Yeah, Jay's right. If we have to get Lloyd ready to save Ninjago from his father, shouldn't he at least have his own room?" Kai asked sympathetically making me walk over to him
"I know what your doing Kai that doesn't matter he only-" Kai was very quick to punch me in the arm
"We're only thinking about the children, hehe." Jay replied nervously laughing
"I do have another property that you'll just love." Patty smiled leading us out.

We arrived at the sky scraper room "Whoa!" We muttered looking at the view
"Now, this is the eight-bedroom Hero Suite. Floor-to-ceiling windows, digital wall television, state-of-the-art game console..." Patty said
Of course a hero suite.
"Uh, it seems a little out of our price range." Cole responded
"Oh, sure it costs a little more, but you deserve it. I forgot to mention, there's also a Dragon keep on the roof." Patty announced I watched as Cole reconsidered oh great I lost him.
"Nice." Kai commented
"Maybe we can get a hero discount. After all, we are the ninja who saved the city." Jay smirked leaning in closer
"I thought Lord Garmadon saved the city." Patty giggled walking away to leave jay in a very bad mood.
"We could get day jobs to pay for the extra expenses." Kai spoke up
"We always said we could use a little more responsibility." Zane agreed
"But we have to train Lloyd." I said quickly
"Did I mention the in-house training facility?" Patty replied overhearing what I said
"We'll take it!" All the boy ninja shout around me
This is gonna be a disaster.
I stared at the computer screen let's see they have a job open as a subway sweeper that's just horrible. But it's the only thing and not to mention if I don't help the ninja will all hate so I guess I will apply.

"Oh yeah I got the job alright!" I replied collapsing on the couch in exhaustion. And I thought ninja training was hard.
"Oh..." Cole collapsed on the other side. "My feet... I can't feel my feet."
"Join the club." I muttered
"There was so many of them. And they wouldn't stop." Kai looked around the room in terror
"Wait what's your job again?" I sighed
"Human piñata." He shuddered
I could see Zane putting oil in his arm "Ugh, my gears locked up several times. I didn't even know my gears could lock up." He took a job as a cook that's right.
"I don't even have enough energy to play video games." Jay sighs and falls over on the floor delivering pizzas must have taken a toll
"Oh, but I thought you were going to train me when you got home." Lloyd replied with disappointment
"Sorry, champ, but we can't until we make rent. How close are we, Jay?" Cole asked disregarding Lloyd
"Huh, is this jar getting bigger?" He lightly rattles the jar. "We're not even close!"
"And our rent is due tomorrow." Zane noted
"I can pull a double shift." Cole announced
"And I can do overtime." Zane replied
"Maybe, I can sling a few more pizza pies." Jay spoke
They all look at me "I suppose I could also do a double shift."
"Great, then our priorities are set. Tomorrow.. we make rent." Cole smiled
"And uh, what about me?" Lloyd looked at Cole
"How about you help out and fetch me some more ice, huh?"
I sat up slowly watching Lloyd go get ice. "Maybe this wasn't such a good idea guys. I mean our main goal was to train Lloyd and we can't even do that" I admitted
"Well will soon Y/n just relax don't worry." Kai groaned

I rushed in the subway station tunnel "you're late." The manager commented
"Yeah sorry about that my alarm didn't go off." I replied taking the broom from him
"Maybe time to get a new alarm clock." He replied glaring making me sigh he really isn't gonna let this go.
"I mean it works fine. I just didn't set it." I grinned to myself
"That's it!" He yelled trying to take the broom from my grip, but come on I'm a ninja.
I threw the broom at his feet.
"You're fired!"
"Fine it was a lousy job anyway!" I yelled exiting the subway.
I stopped reaching the top to realize what I had done. We are never gonna reach rent with my screw up.
I gotta get money another way but how? As soon as I was thinking a huge amount of cops cars rushed past me. Okay that's a lot of trouble better go see what's up.
I arrive at the bank same time as Kai and Zane. "I'll make it up to you, I swear." Cole promised trying to convince the bank owner
"Hmmm, no. Why don't you go home and get a good night's rest, and go ahead and sleep in. In fact, sleep in all day for all I care, because you're fired!" The man shouted leaving us all alone okay this good at least I'm not the only one.
"Ugh, looks like we're all in the same boat." Kai replied disappointed
"Eh, that's okay. I hated that job anyway. Let's go. They're getting away." Cole said
"Who's they?" I asked
"Serpentine." Cole replied making us look at each other
"Which way did they go?" Kai questioned
"I overheard them saying something about the subway." Cole responded
"Good call. Let's go!" Zane decided as we all started running
"Has anyone seen Jay?" I asked looking around once we reached the subway
All of us made it jumping on the train successfully.
"Ugh, isn't there an easier way to get inside?" Cole grunted
"Not without a ticket. Huh? Aargh!" Kai stated before getting pulled in by Skalidor, making a hole in the train.
"What?" I look down
"I believe Kai just found it." Zane remarked laughing a little
"Nindroids first." Cole replied
"Oh, you are such a gentleman." Zane said while entering
"Then ladies." Cole stated
"Wow what a gentleman you're a real keeper." I remarked entering
"Let me go, snake!" Kai struggled against the serpent
"Care for a drink?" The snake sprays Zane with Venomari venom.
I see Fangtom in the reflection of window swiftly hitting him the broken subway material.
"One down, two to go." Cole replied as Fangtom punches him and tries to bite him.
"These Serpentine are a lot harder to defeat without our weapons." Kai said quickly punching them
"Just keep fighting. We not gonna let these fools get away with this." I stated kicking Fangtom
"Get away? We aren't trying to get away. We're just trying to distract you long enough so that Skales can kidnap Lloyd." Fangtom laughed switching between heads while talking.
"What?" I ask confused pushing him against the wall
"We could care less about the money. We just wanted the boy. Who's the fool, now?" He chuckles smirking and all the others begin laughing
I quickly climb out of the subway to be pulled down by a serpent
"And where do you think your going? Don't you want to know the other part of our plansss?" The General asked
"No she doesn't!" Kai punched him "Give me a weapon and I'll take care of these snakes."
"Who needs weapons when you can make your own?" Zane takes apart a piece and uses it as a shuriken.
"Ha! Smart thinking, Zane! Here, Kai!" Cole throws Kai a metal pipe.
"Unh! Uh, uh, uh...this was all a big misunderstanding." Skalidor backed away
"Oh, really?" I ask taking the pole from Kai to hold them in place backed in the corner
"Guys, I think I found Jay." Cole spoke making the others leave but I stayed in place.
"Now what's the other part of your serpent king plans?" I ask eyeing Fangtom
"He plansss to capture you next ssso you best watch your back." Fangtom spit out
"Capture me why?"
"Because you and Lloyd are the only thing Lord Garmadon caresss about." Fangtom stated
"Well guess what I hate my father and care nothing for him." I smiled back
"You expect usss to believe that?!" The generals laughed
"The moment sssomething in your life is messed up you will run to your father." Skalidor replied trying to hold laughter back
"Uh-huh" I said not looking at them because I know that's not true.
"It's not slowing down!" Cole yells
"I'm sure they could use your help, but what do I know?" Acidicus spoke making me turn around they can do it right?
"Ugh, we're not strong enough!" Zane shouted in pain
I look back and forth before dropping the pole "I'm coming!" I grab the brake helping stop the train completely Jay falls over, looks back and gasps.
We peel out the window to hear Jay yellling with glee "Haha! Hey, there you guys are! Ugh. Um, I could use a little hand here, hehe."

I quickly open the suite door "Lloyd?!"
"He's not here." Zane stated sadly
"No no." I looked around in the training room then his bedroom
"Oh, we shouldn't have left him." Kai muttered
"We shouldn't have taken those jobs in the first place. What were we thinking? Cole replied
"I cant lose him he's- he's my family." I whispered sitting in the couch
"Losing Lloyd was by far our greatest loss." Cole spoke
"But it could be your greatest lesson." Sensei responded stepping out of the corner with Lloyd and Nya.
"Lloyd!" I jumped up from the couch collapsing him in a hug
"You're okay!" Kai shouted as I let go
"I wasn't going to be, until Nya and Sensei showed up at the last moment." Lloyd responded
"I go away for a day and everything falls apart." Nya said shaking her head
"I guess you could say we learned we don't need all the fancy stuff. We just need each other." Kai replied
"You want us to help you clean up?" Sensei asked
"Well, we are a team." I spoke nervously smiling
"Nya, I think it's time for another road trip." Sensei said
"Hold on, I got a better idea." Cole announced

Which made Lloyd accidentally knock Jay with a chair, making him drop a box on Kai's foot.
"Hey!" Jay shouted
"Ow, ow, ow!" Kai hopped around
"Ha, feels like home to me. Hey, at least we get to stay in Ninjago City for a little while." Jay replied
"And now without the distractions, we can put all of our energy into training Lloyd." I spoke helping him carry the chair
"I know the Serpentine Generals got away, but you never told us: whatever happened to Skales?" Kai brought up
"Oh, he found a home, too. But it's not quite as roomy as here." Sensei chuckled drinking tea
I suppose this place is pretty roomy
