Rex Headcanon
- Rex does this thing where he'll slap the back of his troopers' helmets if they're being stupid (only off the battlefield though)
- Then one day Rex did a stupid and Anakin smacked him on the head
- Fives recorded it
- When nobody's looking and Rex knows he did a stupid, he'll smack himself on the back of the head
- At first Ahsoka was too short to do it properly because she had to jump to reach and it was Undignified Behaviour for a Jedi (Obi-Wan's exact words)
- So she started using the Force to smack her men on the head if they're doing the stupids
- Then when she gets taller she can do it for real
- Anakin tried to get on board after the first Rex-smack but he got a little over enthusiastic and accidentally Force-smacked a shiny into a pile of ronto dung
- He was very very sorry and apologised many times (the shiny got his name "Splat" out of the deal so he was totally okay with it)
- Ahsoka smacked Anakin on the head for that
- Rex was just about inhaling his own tongue laughing but he had his helmet on so nobody knew it
- Cody smacks Rex's helmet on a regular basis (that's where Rex got it from, actually)
- Obi-Wan is in utter disdain for the practise until Anakin Karks Up Everything
- Obi-Wan Force-Slaps him in the head so hard he stumbles forward into Senator Amidala (who is admittedly standing quite close)
- And that is how the 501st discovered that their General was married to the Nabooian senator
