Are villains humans?

CLEMENTINE'S POV

"Mom."

A woman lying down in the hospital bed turned her head.

"Clementine, what is it?"

Clementine looked at her mom, smiled, and said,

"I will go now to the school."

"I see. Be careful. I love you."

Clementine went out of the hospital room to go to her destination.

As expected, as she went in, the students looked at her with an awful gaze.

Clementine felt ashamed, so she lowered her head and continued to walk. Her little steps were disturbed when somebody bumped into Clementine. She looked up and saw a boy with black hair and red eyes.

The boy apologized to Clementine and went on his way. He seems to be in a hurry.

Clementine followed the boy in her sight, and I saw him go to a girl with black hair and blue eyes.

At that exact moment, Clementine recognizes the boy who bumped her. It was Irina's older brother. Clementine remembered that Irina's brother was famous like her.

She then gazes at Irina. Irina had dead eyes and a tired face.

Clementine remembered the incident yesterday.

Tristan pushed Irina in front of the crowd. I explained to him that it wasn't Irina who bullied me, but that man didn't listen.

I feel bad for Irina. I still don't understand Irina's purpose for her apology.

It was yesterday morning. Irina asked me to have a heart-to-heart talk. Suddenly, Irina bowed and apologized.

I was stunned. I tried to tell her that she was misunderstanding something, but Irina didn't listen to me. After all, I knew that Irina was sincere. But why do these rich children not listen to me? It's frustrating.

My brown eyes looked at Irina with a concerned look.

IRINA'S POV

Irina talking to her brother suddenly shivered.

Her brother noticed her unusual behavior and asked, "Irina, are you okay? You look pale, and you shivered."

I looked at my brother and shook my head. My brother sighed and said,

"I have to go now. Make sure to buy the medicine for our little sister."

I nodded to my brother and shifted my eyes to the entrance gate. Oh, isn't that a protagonist's halo? I watched my brother walk away; seems like this scene is the first encounter between the two. My blue eyes monitored the scene in front of me with disgust.

'But why do I sense that she's looking at me? '

Clementine's eyes felt like they were observing my moves or something. So to be sure, I turned my head back to see if someone was behind me. There wasn't a student behind me.

I dart at Clementine. Clementine shrank as soon as our eyes met. Then she entered the school hallways swiftly.

I was curious why she was acting this way. But then again, I mentioned I wouldn't interfere in her life, so I went my way.

But seriously, why was she acting like that?

Before the classes began, I had this habit, so I turned around and went inside the school through the back gate. My blue eyes shone when I saw a guard. The guard welcomed me, and I also said to the guard, "Good Morning, Guard."

I smiled and passed the guard. Before I became a learner, I was also a helper. I hum as I walk.

I excitedly swung the door and saw countless janitors.

My cherry smile beamed, and I greeted them with an optimistic morning, "Good morning, everyone!"

All of them looked at me. They smiled and also greeted me back.

"If it isn't our cherry, Irina,

"Hehe..."

Strangely, of all the people in this world, I got attached to the janitors and other employees. I guess it's because I also know the hardships of their jobs.

A bell rang in the room, and the janitors told me to attend my class since it was already time. I dramatically bid goodbye to the janitors.

Sitting in my favorite spot during lunch is the best! I watched the lunchbox in front of me with enthusiasm.

'Today's lunch is! '

I could hear drum rolls in my head as I lifted the lid of my lunch.

'1... 2... 3! '

'CHICKEN!'

I rejoiced because chicken is my favorite food. I lifted my spoon and ate my food. The chicken melts in my mouth with the excellent well-cooked rice. Indeed, Kelly's cooking is the best!

Suddenly, I heard the bushes shaking. I turned my head but saw no one. I sealed my mouth, eating peacefully. Maybe the trees got mad because of my loud voice.

I got scared a bit. But I reminded myself never to get scared of this stuff because humans are scarier.

Behind that bush, two girls argued.

"Monica, what the hell are we doing?"

Monica's pink eyes looked at Edith.

Monica then whispered, Spying on our friend."

Edith looked at Monica as if she were crazy. She sighed and whispered, "Why don't you just go to her?"

"No, we're giving Irina a space. But I'm worried now because it's been a week since the latest time she talked to us."

"You're right. I also heard that she fell down the stairs three weeks ago. Also, the cafeteria scene. Nah, let's not talk about that scene."

"But why does she look happy?"

Edith looked at Irina eating and whispered to Monica,

"That's because of her lunch."

"Ah, yeah, Irina loves chicken."

"Why don't you come out?"

The two jumped as they heard a cold voice.

At that moment, they knew that they were screwed.

IRINA'S POV

I was eating my lunch happily, but I heard the bushes again. I suddenly heard whispers.

My social anxiety is working, so I was getting nervous. I should always be calm, so I decided to speak coldly.

"Why don't you come out?"

I praised myself as I said that. I rarely talk coldly. When someone approaches me, I speak to them calmly.

'Damn, I look cool.'

I should stop being a narcissist.

My eyes waited for a person to jump out of the bush. The bush moved again.

Then I heard an awkward laugh: "Hahaha... Hi Irina... Yeah... Hahaha..."

I looked up and saw my two friends.

I glared at the two coldly and said, "My, my, if it isn't this, my precious friends."

The two shivered, and Edith then said, "Woah! Hold up, Irina! We will explain!"

"Yeah, we will tell you the truth, Monica chimed.

My mouth opened, and I said slowly, "Just kidding."

The two sighed in relief.

The two girls then watch from sideways.

They were searching for something.

I opened my mouth and said, "If you're looking for chairs, go to the cafeteria and get one."

Edith looks at Monica.

I sighed and said,

"Never mind, you two can just sit on the grass."

The two sat in the grass; neither of them complained.

Monica gazed at me, and I said, "Am I that beautiful?"

Monica wasn't concerned about what I said. She just watched me, but I was sure she was scanning me, searching for injuries.

As Monica confirmed that my body had no injuries, she sighed in relief and asked, "Are you okay?"

"Yep," I answered happily as I shoved another spoonful of rice in my mouth.

Edith then opened her mouth and said, "Irina, we are sorry for not being with you."

"Nah, it's okay. I understand your father doesn't want you to go near me."

I can't blame the two for not being with me when the accident on the stairs happened.

These two are the same as me. They are rich, and many expectations befall them, especially Monica.

Their father might have warned them not to get close to me to avoid chaos in their family.

But in the novel, these two helped Irina despite knowing the consequences. They stayed by Irina's side because they were her best friends.

Beep beep~

My watch rang, and I lifted my hand and saw the time.

There are only twenty minutes left before the time. So, I stood up from my chair.

I glanced at the two. Like me, they stood up and watched me, waiting for my next move.

I sighed and told the two to follow me.

I walked in the long hallways with my two friends. I stopped at the door, and Edith chimed, "Irina, I didn't know that it was already time to do this."

I knocked on the door. The door has the letters ' authorities'. I opened it and went in.

Edith went to it excitedly and shouted, "Good day!"

The personnel looked at us, and an old lady called, "Oh, Edith, you finally came."

Edith nodded and asked, "How is everyone doing? I apologize for not coming here in two months."

"We're fine, young Edith."

"Hello, everyone." Monica greeted the personnel.

The two girls went in and chatted with the personnel.

It's strange. Even when I didn't have my past life memories. Irina was kind. How could she be the villain when she helped a lot of people?

What's with that monologue? I'm Irina, and I have a human heart; that's probably the rationale. Edith and Monica are also familiar with them because they love to stick with me.

Ding~ Ding~

I looked at my watch. And the three of us excused ourselves as we had to go back to our class. Monica cried that she didn't want to go yet but was scolded.

Before I went out, I told everyone I wouldn't be coming and helping them these days as I would be busy with school. Next year, I will be in senior high school, so I have to get serious to prepare for next year.

The personnel just smiled, understanding me.

I then went to my suffocating classroom.

"Irina!" Monica's voice rang in the hallways.

I look at Monica running toward me. Edith was even with her. Based on Edith's expression, she seems to be dragged along with this social butterfly again.

Edith frowned as she was dragged harder than before.

Monica stopped beside me and asked, "Irina, will you join us in helping the janitors?"

I sighed and said, "Sorry, but I have to be serious in my study as my father will get angry if I don't."

Edith pouted and defiantly said, "Okay."

I said goodbye to the two as I had to go home.

It's funny that these two seem so free-spirited that they decided to help the janitors. I'm proud of them. As an ordinary person in my past life, helping my job is something I will be grateful for.

Before I went home, I went to the pharmacy and bought the medicines for my little sister.

The sound of kitchen utensils rang on the long table with five people eating dinner. Irina bites her food with grace.

Then the cold voice of her father rang in the room: "Irina, meet me in my office after this."

I paused eating and nodded to my father.

 "Yes, Father."
