On the next day, Y/N woke up from his bed due to the sunlight hitting his face causing him to groaned. He got up from his comfortable bed and dragged his feet to the bathroom. He took a quick bath before getting dressed up in his usual outfit and face mask. He then walk out of his rented apartment and begins walking towards the Knights of Favonius Headquarters. While on the way towards the headquarters, he passed by multiple Knights who salutes at him as he passed by them while giving a nod back. Once he arrived at headquarters, Kaeya said her good morning to him while saying a subtle flirt at him which he playfully flirts back and said his good morning before entering his office. Conveniently, his office is in fact the Acting Grand Master's office or to Y/N "Jean's office". As per usual, Jean is already there with a huge stack of paperwork on her table. He sigh and shook his head knowing how much of a workaholic she is before thinking about sparing her from her addiction. He grabs a chair and sit down beside her. He then grabs one paper from the stack and begins signing it which causes Jean to finally notice him. She look at him bewildered
Jean: Y/N?! Dear Archon, you scared me...
You: Good morning to you too, Jean
Jean: M-Morning... You don't have to do this, I can do it myself
You: Hehe. I can't let a lady work with all of these stack of papers even if I have very little understanding of the contents, I will help you no matter what. Why don't you rest up a bit, eh? You can use my shoulder to rest your head
Jean: T-That won't be necessary!
You: Nonsense, I'm only looking out for you, Jean
Jean look at him unbelievable at what she just heard. He was looking out for her which caused butterflies in her stomach
Jean:...Fine... I'll take your word for it
He nodded before reading the contents on the paper in his hands. Jean hesitate for a moment before moving her chair closer to him and lean onto his shoulder
Jean: (Y/N certainly cares about me so much and was willing to do my work for me just to have me to take a break from work- Wait a minute, is that coffee?)
She saw a coffee mug on her table with her name on a notepad
Jean: (He even made coffee for me! He's such a keeper! I...)
She look up at him with a faint blush on her cheeks
Jean: (I think... I have fallen for him)
Y/N didn't feel any weight on his shoulder anymore look down at Jean
You: Jean-
Jean puts a finger on his mask stopping him from speaking
Jean: Y-Y/N. Can you...be honest with me?
She look at him asking him to be really honest with her to which he nodded understanding the situation
Jean: What do you think of me?
You: I think of you as a wonderful woman who is doing her best at leading her people while helping them out with even the smallest of errands in their daily lives
She look pleased to hear him say those words
Jean: Y/N...I-I like you. W-would you like to go out with me?
She waited for his answer even though she might get rejected but this is her first time confessing to someone
You: Hehe. I think it's pretty obvious of what my answer will be Jean. Yes, I like you too. And of course I would love to go out with you
Jean was very happy to hear that from Y/N and hug his arm with a blush on her face while Y/N had an amusing smile behind his mask
You: Where'd this shy Jean come from?
Jean: Well...I'm not always like this. Your the only one who made me like this
You: I seem to have discovered a new side of you. Overall, you have three sides. First, "Dandelion Knight". Second, "Childish Jean". Third, "Shy Jean"
Jean look at him with a frown on her face
Jean: Are you...dissatisfied?...
He chuckle in response before kissing her forehead causing a blush on her face
You: Every side of you is you as a whole. If a person falls in love with you, then that person falls in love with every bit of fibre of your being. I love you for being yourself
Jean smile at his words and kiss her man's cheek or mask
Jean: Thank you...
You: You're welcome. Although, I have a question for you
Jean: And that is?
You: Look this is a trivial question. Would you allow me to have more than one girl?
She look at him with furrowed eyebrows
Jean: More than one? Don't tell me you have...
You: Well, yes. I'm just saying if your comfortable with me having more girls. Let me reassure you that I already have a girlfriend and her name is Rosaria
Jean: Rosaria? Oh, her. So she's your girlfriend?
He nodded
Jean: And she allows you to have more girls?
He nodded again. Jean thought for a moment before nodding with a smile
Jean: Alright, I'll allow it. If she has agreed then so do I
You: You sure?
Jean: Yes. You aren't the type to pick favourites so that's green light for me
He kiss her cheek which cause her to chuckle as it tickles her slightly
You: Hehe. Well...the work is finished, you can take some fresh air now
She was shocked to see that Y/N has finished her huge work for her in less than an hour?!
Jean: (He is such a good boyfriend! No, forget boyfriend, he'd make a good husband as well!)
And with just that, Jean finally realised that she's head over heals for Y/N. Thanks to Y/N's hard work, Jean was let off early from her duties since there are no more commissions from civilians for today which allows her to spend the day with her new boyfriend. They head out towards Good Hunter to get something for lunch. When they got there, they were greeted by seeing Amber with a light blue woman sitting at a table
Amber sees the new couple and waved at them inviting them to sit with her and her friend which they complied. They took their seats at their chairs waiting for the waitress
Amber: Acting Grand Master and Vice Commander, it's quite a rare sight seeing you two out here
Jean: Well, we've finished our work early so we might as well see how are things going on here
You: In other words, a free day outside of her office
Jean fake coughed much to her partner's amusement
Amber: Ah, I see. Well, I hope you two are having a wonderful day out here, the weather today is just right to relax
Jean look up to the sky seeing the perfect blue ocean sky with a few clouds. It doesn't seems to have any hint of raining soon which makes her smile a bit
Jean: You're right...
She look towards the light blue woman sitting across from her
Jean: Eula, how was your mission?
The woman now known as Eula look towards the Dandelion Knight
Eula: I was about to report to you after this meal. But since you're here yourself, Acting Grand Master I might as well tell you, right now. However, I do have one question...
She look towards Y/N who stare at her with a look saying "Me?"
Eula: Who is this? And why did Amber called him Vice Commander?
Jean: Well, Eula this is Y/N, a Snezhnaya traveler who have come to the defence of Mondstadt during Stormterror's attack. He singlehandedly eliminated an army of hilichurls before they reached Mondstadt. I recently appointed him as the Vice Commander of the Knights of Favonius. I'm sure you have heard of him
Eula: That I have but this my first time seeing him in person
You: And you must be Eula Lawrence, right?
Eula: How did you know?
You: Well, it's pretty obvious judging by the arrogance from your voice and the way some people have been glaring at you
Which is true that some people have been glaring at Eula for some time before doing their own stuff. The waitress arrived to take their order
Waitress: What can I get for you two?
You: You pick this time, Jean
Jean: Right. Uhm, one Mushroom Pizza please
Waitress: Alright then. It'll be ready in a few minutes
She goes back to the kitchen to cook as Amber look at Jean confused
Amber: Uhm, Acting Grand Master, is one pizza enough for the two of you?
Jean: I'll share the pizza with Y/N here
You: I'm fine with that
Jean look at Eula
Jean: Eula, you may continue
Eula: Very well, it goes like this...
Timeskip to Eula finishing telling Jean and Y/N about her mission...
Eula:...That's as much dirt I can get
Both of her superiors were in deep thought before Jean nodded
Jean: Thank you for that Eula. I have another assignment to give to you concerning about a plot to destroy the defences of Mondstadt. This involves the Fatui and an anonymous party who resides in Mondstadt. Originally, I was gonna give this to you next week but decided now is a good time. I'll mark it on the map for you to investigate
She took Eula's map and mark the location for her assignment before giving it back to Eula. She look at the map before nodding accepting the mission
Eula: Understood, Grand Master Jean. I'll get it done
She stood up and left to do her mission as Y/N continues to stare at her which Amber noticed
Amber: Vice Commander, you certainly have an interest on her, huh?
He look at her before looking at the street seemingly in thought for a second
You: Well... She is from a noble family that once ruled over Old Mondstadt with an iron fist. So, it's natural for me to be interested in her since she was apart from that family during Old Mondstadt. Although, I have to hand it to her for handling the hatred from the citizens. Some people these days tends to not let go of the past, but then again if you don't remember the past, you're doomed to repeat it
Amber: Yeah. That just means she's a strong person, but I have a feeling that deep inside she's hurt
Y/N turn his attention towards The Outrider
You: You certainly know her well. I'm honestly surprised to see you being able to break through her ice wall that she put up. For me, I probably won't be able to even scratched it. Just always remember to help her through this tough life she has going on. After all, it is hard for a villain to be a good guy
Amber smiles at him nodded
Amber: Thank you for the kind words, Vice Commander. I would love to chat more but I have my own assignment to do
She stood up and wave to her superiors who wave back at her as Amber took off. Jean look at her boyfriend
Jean: You certainly have a way with words for women, huh? I can clearly see that you'll definitely draw attention from them...
She pout internally knowing that her boyfriend will have women and girls eyeing him which again feeds Y/N a sense of amusement. Jean then look in the corner of her eye at the clock hanging at a wall and was shocked to see it's time for a meeting
Jean: (Aww. I want to spent more time with Y/N, but I'll have to waited until the meeting is over. I sure hope it'll end this problem quickly...)
Jean look at her boyfriend
Jean: Y/N, it's getting late now, you should take the rest of the day off
He nodded simply agreeing with her
You: If you say so then, I'll take a day off just like you asked. Do you want me to accompany you to your house?
She shook her head
Jean: It's okay, I can handle it myself
You: Alright then. But you better not be at the headquarters after this, or else, I'll dragged you back to your house myself
Jean sweat drop and scratch her neck embarrassed
Jean: Okay, okay
You: Good, until our next date then
He gently grabbed her hand and kiss it making sure to not be seen by anyone because the last thing he wants is Jean having a controversy about them going out. He knows just how much stress she'll get and this would complicated things with her work until the Stormterror problem have been solved. They both stood up and went their separate ways if only Jean knows that they'll be seeing together at a meeting that Jean will be attending
