"Sonic, my laser-guided Unbolterizer is ready to go! I've got a clean shot at Squid-Bot!" Tail's spoke in his headset as he flew over the battle scene in his plane. The gang was currently fighting a new-made robot created by Dr. Eggman.
"Tail's have you even tested it yet?" Sonic asked, doing what he usually does in a battle and speeding around on the ground, dodging and spin balling towards the bot.
"Don't worry! It'll work!" Smiled the young fox. With you in the back of the plane with him, you were able to see him press a button to activate a lever to his right, which when he pulled it a bright yellow beam shot out of it. It struck one of the legs of Eggman's robots but soon darted into a pile of rocks in the process.
"Oh...snap.." You watched as the rocks collided to the ground in the canyon.
The team below was distracted so much by dodging the boulders that the Bot with Eggman inside was able to gain back the upper hand. Wanting to help, Tail's flew his plane down towards the robot. But before he could attack, the bot whacked them from the air, making the plane go crazy out of control. You and Tail's screamed as you braced for impact. Thankfully, Tail's was able to recover and regain flight.
Eggman cackled from within the bot. "Oh, how the tide has turned. That's a natural reference, cause it's a squid- I-I mean octopus! Grrr! Great! Know you've got me doing it!"
Sonic soon dashed to the back of the bot and opened its control panel. Grabbing a handful of wires and pulling them right out of the bot, causing it to short-circuit. The robot crashed to the ground and spilled out some black goo, making Amy cringe in disgust.
Eggman disconnected his Eggmobile from the robot's compartment and flew into the air. "Next time, study your cephalopods before we do battle!" and he flew off.
At that moment, Tail's landed his plane and both you and him jumped out, although you were still a bit hazy, you held your head to stop things from spinning and Sonic helped you as you were about to fall.
"Guys, I don't know what happened!" Tail's exclaimed, seeing your condition.
"I'll tell you what happened!" Amy snapped, making Tail's ears droop along with his two tails. "Your laser almost turned us into robo-fish food!"
"Yeah, and not the delicious flakey kind." Knuckles added
"I'm sorry, it malfunctioned!"
"Or.maybe it didn't malfunction." Stick's said, pointing her finger to the fox.. "Maybe this isn't even Tail's! What if it's one of those sleeper agents? A mole, pretending to be a fox. A fox mole!" She ran to him and grabbed his face, pulling the 'mask' that wasn't even there in the first place.
"Ow! Quit it!" Tail's whined, pulling Sticks off him.
"Hey, leave him alone!" Sonic said, stepping in between both Stick's and Tails.
"No, Sonic." Tails spoke up. "They're right. Well, except Stick's and the whole fox mole thing. I put all of you in danger. I need to go." He frowned, hopping back into this place and taking flight.
"Tails, wait!" Sonic called out for him, reaching him. He turned to his communicator when he saw Tail's disappear. "Tail's? Are you ok, buddy? Tails?"
The blue blur sighed when he heard the line disconnect from Tail's headset.
"Are you all serious?" You asked, turning to face Amy, Knuckles, and Stick's. Leaving Sonic since he was twice as annoyed at the three. "You were so mean to him! He was just trying to help the team!" You snarled. "You all need to calm down!" You said, mainly talking to Amy. She noticed your eyes narrow at her.
"Y/N, he almost killed the two of you and jeopardized the mission! You wouldn't have snapped?"
"No, because he made a mistake! Haven't you all made mistakes in your past life-" A loud horn from a truck interrupted you from speaking. Everyone turned to the right to see a truck painted like a clown, with balloons on the roof coming straight at them. The driver stepped on the breaks, hearing the tires skid and come to a stop before it could hit you and the gang.
A wolf-like animal hopped out of the driver's seat exclaiming. "Oh, sorry if I scared you, folks! Please, accept my humble apologies!" He took off his red hat and bowed.
"You almost made us roadkill, pal!" Sonic snapped.
"Oh, a thousand pardons! Allow me to introduce myself. T.W Barker! Entrepreneur, owner, and ringmaster of T.W's Barker's Circus of Wonder's!"
" A circus, huh? You mean like with clowns?" Knuckles asked.
"And elephants?" Amy pushed further.
"And art made from corn husks? .... I have no idea what a circus is." Stick's finished.
"Alas, I have none of those. For you see, my performers ate some bad sushi in the last town and have fallen gravely ill. All I have our my two stunt bears." Your eyes darted to the way Barker pointed to see two twin bears with skates and sulked.
You cocked an eyebrow up, you were at the town the man was talking about a couple of days ago, and there was no sushi shop there. Something smelled fishy to you, so you glared at Barker.
"So how will you put on a show?" Amy asked.
"I'm afraid I won't be able to. The children will be so disappointed." Barker sighed. Amy gasped in shock.
"Not the children!"
"Yes, the children!" Both you and Barker said, but your's was a more sarcastic tone and Barker smirked at you and you had a fake sweet smile, giggly sweetly before going back to your sour face when he looked away.
"If only I could find some kind-hearted souls to help me keep the magic of the circus alive!"
"Mr. Barker, you're in luck! We be proud to volunteer in your circus!" Amy smiled whilst Knuckles and Stick's agreed.
"Speak for yourself, Amy!" Both you and Sonic said in unison. "What makes you think I'd want to perform like some trained animal?" You both did again. And this time you both looked at each other.
"Quit it!" You both said again.
"I said quit it!"
You both growled and huffed, crossing your arms across your chest.
"Yes, yes. I-I understand. The training is quite rigorous. It's okay if you're not capable." Barker sighed his hands up in a 'stop' motion. "'Capable' is my middle name!" Sonic smirked upon hearing these words.
"I thought your middle name was 'the'" Knuckles asked, and the silence broke for a few moments with Sonic staring up at him before he said. "Look, I just hope your circus can keep up with me! I'm in!"
"Wonderful!" Barker chimed, and soon his eyes were on you, who was not having it but still asked. "And how about you miss?"
"Thanks, but no thanks. I've already done something for someone and I am not doing it again. Especially for some dumb circus."
"But Y/N!" Amy whined, placing a hand on your shoulder and grasping her chest.
"Think! About! The children!"
You sighed, seeing the sly smirk on Barker's face. "Ugh! Fine! But just one night!
With a smile, Barker took out a remote, he pushed a button as a huge circus tent popped out of the top of the truck. Completely assembled. "I'm delighted to have you all!" He smiled.
"Oh wait, there's one more!" Sonic chimed in, turning to his communicator. "Tails, come in. We're joining the circus!" Sonic's ears drooped when Tail's still didn't respond. "Tails?"
You walk over to the blue blur. "Give him some space for a while."
"But I'm worried!"
"He's just needing some time alone. Knowing him he's probably working on fixing it right now. We just need to give him some space and when's he's ready we will talk to him...okay?" Sonic huffed in response. Making you roll your eyes. He's so stubborn is insane.

"Welcome to the circus! Where your unique abilities will be put on display for children around the world!" Barker announced as he led the group to the back of the tent and inside. He walked over to Sonic. "Sonic, there's only one creature fast enough to master..." He pulled a large thick purple tarp to reveal a large, cage-like ball. You cocked an eyebrow seeing this. Why did it look so much like a cage?
"The Sphere of Fear! A circulous cage with no beginning or end, allowing you to reach unparalleled speeds, all without leaving the center ring!
"Wicked!" Sonic sped into it, the door shutting and he sped around the ball, living the fast life. You eyed Barker approach Knuckles, then Amy, and Sticks. He gave them all roles to play in the circus, but you still didn't find any of these normal. Not trying to be rude, but what type of person almost runs others over with a circus truck, and says they had some other performers but they were 'ill' and basically asked us to join is a circus. If they were ill, then cancel the show for a good week or two then have been back up and running, not ask 5 strangers to join his circus. All these were just making you unsettled.
"My, what talent may you have my dear?"
Your nose scrunched when you heard that voice. It was smug and unsettling to hear. You turned to face the wolf and crossed your arms. "Quit it with this 'circus act'. I know what you're up to!" You scowled, pointing a finger to his face. "Oh? And what might that be?" He asked, and you're snarled. "I- well....I don't know! But none of this is normal!"
Barker stared down at you, scratching his chin before snapping his fingers, grinning.
"Magician!"
"What-?"
Barker came back with a black and red suit, with a black hat and placed it over your head. Only to have you rip it off. "You already agreed to join~" His voice made you want to vomit in your mouth.
You looked back to the group to see them awkwardly look away seeing you noticed them staring. Sighing you placed the hat back on. "Excellent!" He clapped his hands, walking away leaving you.

"Welcome to T.W's Barker's Circus of Wonders!" In the back, you heard upon hearing Barker's words, the crowd went wild as you played around with your costume.
"Hey!" Sonic smiles as he walked over to you.
"Hmm?" You hummed in response.
"Black and red is your color, in all fairness.."
You rolled your eyes, looking at your outfit. Barker has given you a black leotard, that was covered in small shiny gems and glitter. At your waist was a black skirt, with tights, and covering your upper area was a red long-sleeve shirt that was glittery, with your black hat on your head.
"Thanks, I guess. It's tight though." You whined, sighing.
"So.." Sonic began, leaning on the wall. "What's the plan?"
"Plan? What plan?" You asked quickly after Sonic finished making him cock an eyebrow up.
"Oh come on!" He rolled his eyes in a teasing tone. "I know you! You always have some sort of plan up your sleeve. Your stubborn, and I can see it in your face. So what's the plan?" He asked again.
"You will just have to wait and see." You smirked with a giggle. "After all, a magician never reveals her secrets."

"Please welcome to the center ring! - uh- wha-what do you call yourself?" Barker asked as he peeked his head away from the audience and to you. "Uh- Y/N the.... the Amazing?"
Smooth Y/N.
"The Amazing!" Barker finished, moving from the ring to let it become your stage. Walking from your corner, you walked under the spotlights. At first, all was quiet, but you let out a sigh.
Taking off your hat, you reached out and tossed it in the air, it landing on your left arm to roll across it and behind your back and to your right arm, it leaping into the air again. Catching it. That alone made people of 'ooh'.
You soon showed the audience that there was nothing in the hat, scanning the area before tossing and catching it with opposite hands. Shaking the hat now, you turned it upside down and dumped out a bunch of gems from it. The crowd cheered but went quiet when you weren't done with your act. Taking out a tarp as well from the black hat, you placed it over the multiple gems. Saying the 'magic words' you leaned down, waiting to add that dramatic effect, and also not so positive if this will work, you suddenly pulled the tarp off and the gems disappeared and were changed to multiple butterflies. All were white, but there were others that caught eyes.
There were 5 multi-colored ones.
A blue, pink, red, F/C, and brown butterfly flew in the air for a couple of moments before they flew off into the night. The crowd went wild, some even getting up from their seats to see you. You smiled, knowing the plan has worked, It was only a matter of time.
As the crowd went home, amazed by all the amazing talent from you and the others, you changed out of your leotard to your normal attire. Walking back to the center ring, you saw Sonic stretching within the sphere. He noticed you and smiled.
"Great job, everyone!" Amy smiled.
"Yeah, that was a blast! We should do it again sometime!" Sonic added, about to leave the sphere.
"Yes, you should.....and you will." Barker snarled, pushing Sonic back into the sphere, hearing the lock click. Upon seeing this, you immediately ran behind the bleachers in the tent and watched the scene unfold.
"Hey! What's the big idea!" Sonic growled, pulling on the bars of the cage ball that held him.
"Well, you see." Barker began with a smirk. "My performers weren't exactly sick. They escaped! So when I heard about your crew, I set up this brilliant trap! And you fell into it!"
You watched from behind the shadows, Amy, Knuckles, and Stick's get caught in an identical cage from their own.
"Oh, and in case you manage to escape, I ordered some of these as well!" Barker pulled out the same remote, pressing a button to reveal, well you weren't all that surprised, Eggman's robots coming from behind the tents backstage.
"Wait, where's that girl?" You heard Barker snap. "That brat will ruin everything! Find her, NOW!" Barker ordered his bears, who started their search. "Come on!" You murmured. "He should have been here by now!"
The top of the tent suddenly was pulled away, revealing what was happening from within the tent. Tails was seen flying above with his plane. "Tail's!" You all smiled, others were in happiness, yours was in relief. "Get me outta here!" Sonic yelled.
Once more, Tails fired his laser at the Sphere of Fear but missed. "Great!" Knuckles groaned. "That thing still doesn't work!" However, you watched the laser dart from cage to cage. Freeing Amy, Knuckles, and Stick's, and soon the laser blasted the bottom of Sonic's cage, allowing him to speed through the area with the cage following his movement. "This is wicked!" He laughed.
The gang began to battle off the robots which created the perfect distraction for Barker to run away. But not before Tail's saw him. "Sonic, he's getting away!" He cried.
Sonic, having so much fun, looked to where Barker was running and followed him. Sonic opened the sphere with a hard kick and just before he slipped out, the ball rolled over Barker and he fell into the sphere. With a lock of the cage door, Sonic stopped the sphere and there was Barker trapped in the ball.
"Let me out of this infernal cage! I'm an entrepreneur!" He shouts, banging and pulling on the cage.
Seeing Tail's land, the group came back together. "That was some great flying, buddy!" Sonic smiled at his two-tailed fox friend. "Yeah, you did good!" Knuckles added.
"Sorry for saying you were a double-agent... I didn't realize you were a triple-agent!" Stick's mumbled.
"Yeah, thanks Tails." Amy smiled.
"Well, I'm just happy to help. Now let's get out of here!" Tails grinned, but soon Sonic noticed something. "Hold one- where's Y/N?"
The group looked around, only to see you run from the tent smiling. "Right here!"

"Tail's how did you know where to find us?" Sonic asked, and Tail's smiled. "Well, normally I would track you all in your communicators, but today it was something different."
"Was it butterflies?" You asked, smirking.
Tail's looked at you with a shocked expression. "Y/N- that was you?"
You walked in front of the group, and appeared in your hand was a black hat. You threw it in the air, it flew around your body, and soon...you disappeared. The gang was so confused until Amy got a notification on her beeper.
"Y/N?" She asked.
"What's taking you guy's so long? I've been sitting at Tail's place for 5 minutes already!" You laughed hearing Sonic. "Wha-how? When did you-"
"Just come home! We've had a long day. Oh, make sure to bring back home dinner. I'm starving."
