(what i imagine Lottie to be wearing)
When Lottie got home, she shouted her presence to her brother,
"I'M HOME!" she walked into her room and hung up her dress as he replied,
"Okay! Make us a something to eat. Mary's comin' around 9:30, I'm getting in the shower." She replied a quick 'okay' and walked into the kitchen pulling out food to make a little dinner.
Lottie finished her plate as Diesel walked out his room,
"Can ya do my hair?" he asked putting his tub of gel on the table with a comb,
"Yep, I'm gonna get ready and do it before we leave." She punched his stomach when she went past him, making him keel over while muttering every profanity he knows.
Lottie got in the shower and washed her hair. After about 20 minutes she got out and wrapped her hair up in a towel, as well as her body, she dried off and walked to her room placing her favourite vinyl on the record player and throwing her dress with a bigger underskirt on so when she would spin in would all go out.
She let her hair out of the towel and let it airdry while she did her makeup, a little bit of blush, pink eyeshadow, mascara and eyeliner.
She also wore some heart earrings and a matching necklace that Diesel got for her 18th.
After a while of testing different hairstyles, she settled on a half up half down and having the rest of her hair stay its natural curliness. She chose a pair of blue heels that were suitable for dancing in.
As Lottie was leaving her room, she walked past the full body mirror she owned, admiring her dress, she spun around and smiled, pulling the door open and twirling into the kitchen.
Mary had arrived only 5 minutes before sitting on the couch and talking to her boyfriend,
"Hey Lottie Doll. ya look stunnin " Mary smiled at the girl,
"Hey Mary, you look even better girly! Right, big D, face me." She told her brother, with a smile plastered from ear to ear,
"I told ya to stop callin' me that doofus." He told her obeying her words but with a flick to her forehead. Lottie carefully brushed through his curly hair and gelled it back, leaving a few strands at the front to give him his 'scruffy' look that he liked.
Lottie finished styling his hair and stood back with a proud grin, pulling her heels on,
"Let's go!" she exclaimed, pulling her brother up from his chair, Mary walked over and linked her arm with Diesel.
As they walked to the gym they met up with, Mouthpiece, A-Rab and Balkan with their dates.
They made it to the gym after about 10 minutes of walking and laughing with eachother, the band was playing through the walls. Lottie walked at the back, letting the happy couples go through first. Inside the actual gym there were lights, balloons, streamers, and lots of people.
She followed behind Diesel and Mary, looking for Riff, she was about to sit down until she felt a pair of hands snake around her waist,
"Hey Riff." She spoke, smelling his strong classic scent of cigarettes and mint,
"Hey Lottie." She spun around facing him front on, his hair was slicked back slightly, he had a blue collared shirt, a white over coat, blue jeans and converse,
"Would ya like to dance pretty lady?" he asked holding out his hand for her to take,
"Of course." She smiled, letting him take her to the dance floor, many others soon joined them and they all broke out into dance.
The Puerto Rican's started filling in, the sea of blue started mixing with different shades of yellow and red, Anita and Bernardo pushed their way through the dancing Jets and Passed Lottie and Riff who just watched them, Anita sent Lottie a sly wink before a circle formed around them and they danced the Puerto Ricans cheered them on, Riff held Lottie close to his body, Anita and Bernardo finished their little dance, Lottie and Anita walked forward their faces meeting together before everyone went back to their sides and danced together in sync, Riff spun Lottie around and brought her in close, they could feel each other's breath.
As their lips were about to touch, Riff's back collided with Bernardo's,
"Wanna dance buddy?" Riff offered smiling, Bernardo didn't get the joke and soon the others ran over and started pushing and shoving eachother, Riff hugged Lottie close to his body, she just hid her face in his chest, not liking the commotion around them, The cops managed to get through the crowd separating the two groups,
"It's okay Lottie." She heard her brother say to her,
"EVERYONE! EVERYONE KEEP CALM NOW, CONTAIN THE AGGRESION OKAY?" the judge shouted to the groups. Riff and Diesel both had a hand on Lottie's back, Riff let go and walked towards Diesel, mocking the judge, Lottie smiled as Diesel and Krupke pushed him back.
He put his full arm around Lottie and held her close,
"So tonight is a social experiment boys and girls, brotherhood and all that? And you're the guinea pigs." All the Jets started snorting and squealing like pigs to annoy the man,
"Thank you right on cue. Be nice to eachother! Give us some hope! Just for a little bit. Then you can revert back to your true feral selves." People started losing interest in the man, and moving to mix a little bit, Riff held the whole of Lottie's body in both of his arms and kissed her face as she giggled,
"Now, boys, get into a big circle facing in. And girls, make a smaller circle on the inside facing out!" he pleaded,
"Espérate, espérate. ¿Y a ustedes dónde le toca?" A shark commented getting laughter from his side,
"Speak English in school sponsored functions! Now everyone please!" He shouted getting annoyed,
"Yous heard the man! Now all Youse fall in!" Krupke ordered.
After a bit of silence Bernardo walked forward Anita following, swishing her dress and the Jets, Riff looked down to Lottie before letting go and walking forward, People cheered his name, He gestured for Lottie to follow, she looked towards her brother who just nodded before smiling and walked forward to her date,
"Yeah Lottie!"
"go on Charlie!"
they all cheered their sister, she had the biggest smile on her face, she walked past Anita and Bernardo, Riff spun her around when they chose their spot next to them, they just spoke about each other's outfits while waiting for the music to start.
The judge pointed for the band to start playing,
"Boys, step it right. Girls, left. When the music stops, ya dance with whoever's in front of ya." Riff sent a small wink to Lottie before he turned and walked in the opposite direction, she walked past diesel, he winked at her while she just punched his stomach.
the music played for about a full 15 seconds before it stopped, she looked to her left and saw a tall shark, Lottie looked behind her to see Riff with Anita,
"¡Oye Javi, ponle fuego, vamos!" Anita shouted to the band, they understood what she said and started playing an upbeat song, Riff smiled and ran towards Lottie spinning her around, Anita and Bernardo coming close to them, Lottie and Anita sent friendly smiles while Bernardo and Riff sent death stares.
The two leaders broke their gaze and took their girls to the other sides,
"Come on! Give it a chance, its gonna-" The Judge pleaded, getting taken away, the Sharks and Jets lined up on their respectful sides and stared at eachother, "MAMBO!" they shouted one after another, "GO!" they shouted in sync this time all spreading out to dance.
No longer than 10 seconds later, Riff saw Tony and shouted his name, Lottie hadn't seen him in so long, so a smile broke on her face, Riff grabbed her hand and pulled her with him to their former leader, Anybodys was already there hugging him, Lottie and Riff made it over to them, she jumped up to him wrapping her arms around him,
"Hey Lotto! good to see ya!"" He smiled and put her down,
"Tony, I knew you'd come, buddy boy." Riff spoke grabbing the sides of his face,
"I knew you'd come." He stepped back and grabbed Lottie's hand,
"Come and dance, yeah?" Lottie asked,
"Yeah!" Riff agreed taking them back to their original spot and doing the same dance as everyone else.
Lines were formed on both sides, the Sharks did their dance first, and shouted
"MAMBO!" when they finished, Riff took his jacket off and addressed the others,
"Alright, lets go boys!" someone else down the line repeated him, they crouched down and ran forwards, chasing the other boys away, All the girls following their moves, and spinning with them, the boys finished their bit and dipped the girls down to meet with the Shark ladies.
As they were running back to their sides, Riff stayed in the middle, Lottie had an idea,
"Riff!" she shouted running up to him, he caught her as she span around, kicking the other guys in the chest.
The jets all made a circle around Lottie and Riff, she ran around getting them to clap smiling really wide before going back to Riff with the biggest smiles on both their faces.
They spun around eachother many times, he always walked further away, she would run over and he would spin with her.
They finished their little bit in the middle as a Puerto Rican boy who had been sat on the sides took to his own spot in between the two groups and did his own little dance, the sharks ran over to him and copied his movement the Jets copying too.
This dance went on for a while until a slower song came on and people went to rest, Lottie and Riff stayed just doing ballroom dances with eachother, They were one of the few left on the floor, everyone stepped away to let them dance, some stayed with their own, many just watched the love-blind couple,
"Hey Lottie." He spoke quietly,
"Hey Riff." She smiled at her boy,
"You look so damn pretty tonight."
He said smiling,
"So do you good sir." He smiled looking over her head,
"I think your brother wants to dance with you." He said spinning her out his arms and towards Diesel who was walked towards them by himself,
"Hey D." She said as he straightened her up,
"Hey Ladybug!" They danced together for a second before Riff came back over and dragged her towards a huddle, Tony's tall figure standing out the most,
"Sorry Lotto. But we gotta help our boy." He said smiling at her.
They pushed through the crowd and reached Tony,
"What the hell Dude?" Lottie questioned as Riff praised him for starting beef with the Sharks, but he wasn't paying attention, he was just watching the girl with a white dress and red belt.
"Hey Charlie." Krupke spoke to the girl,
"What's going on?" he said looking between Riff and Lottie,
"honestly Krupke, I don't even know. i lost the plot with it all a couple months ago. i just get dragged around these days." She spoke truthfully, as Krupke was going to question Riff, he walked towards Bernardo and stopped him from reaching Tony, speaking to him.
They let go of each other's arms and the crowd died down,
"I gotta go Lottie." Riff said to her, her smile fell,
"Why?" his heart broke seeing her disappointed face,
"I got business to take care of. I'll come by later." He kissed her forehead and pouty lips before walked towards Action and Ice who waiting for him.
she walked towards Diesel and wrapped him in a big hug,
"He left." She mumbled into the crook of his neck,
"it's okay Lottie." He lifted her head out of his neck, and saw her teary eyes,
"Please don't cry Ladybug. I'll dance with you, Mary is with her friends." He said wiping her eyes, she nodded and smiled at her big brother, he took her hand and danced with his younger twin, the other jets saw Lottie's sad expression and left their dates to help Diesel cheer her up, knowing it was Riff's fault she looked so sad, they took in turns spinning her around and speaking to her, telling her how pretty she looked tonight.
After about 10 more minutes of dancing with her boys, she decided she wanted to go home, she bid goodnight to them and walked out with Diesel and Baby John.
They walked him home and said hello to his mother, who thanked them and started walking back to their own place.
They got in and said goodnight, walking to their own rooms. Lottie kicked off her shoes and gently pulled her dress off and putting on her night gown, she took off her makeup and let her hair down.
As she was about to get into bed, there was a knock at the front door, she answered it and was about to speak but was cut off by a pair of lips crashing onto hers, she tensed up and first but quickly settled smelling Cigarettes and mint.
After a bit they broke apart needing air,
"I'm so sorry for leaving you, I felt so bad doing it, and I still do, and I was going to tell you how much I love you but stupid Tony went and started stuff, and you see where that ended him last time." he said looking down at her arm and back to her eyes,
"I'm so sorry Lotto, I-" she cut him off by placing her lips on his again,
"Shut up. I love you, so stop rambling or you'll make me regret forgiving ya." She smiled, he picked her up and spun her around,
"wait can i ask ya something?" he asked, putting her down,
"sure love?" she said suspiciously,
"nothing bad, just wondering if you'd like to be my girl?" he casually said with a shrug,
"would i like to? Riff id love to!" she smiled and hugged him again,
"God i love you. Okay now i've said it can we go sleep now i'm so tired?" He said walking to her room,
"Get changed first, you ain't getting in my bed with those sweaty ass clothes." She spoke shoving some of his clothes he kept at the bottom of her wardrobe, he simply stripped right infront of her, smirking as she blushed. Once he was all ready, he jumped into her bed, snuggling into her side,
"Goodnight Riff." She said turning to face him,
"Goodnight my girl." He smiled, pulling her closer to him.
They fell asleep embracing each other, smiles on their faces.

hey lovesss, i'm so sorry for not posting for like a whole week, i had alot of homework but i'm on easter break now so i should hopefully be able to post alot more because i have hardly any plans. i realised this book is going to be shorter than the other, but dont you worry i have ideas to fill it up a bit :)
i hope you are all okay and looking after yourselves. dont forget to eat and drink.
