Althea Melody (POV)
"Mr. Bosworth, is there something you need in here?" I asked, breaking the silence. Mr. Bosworth turned to me with a gentle expression.
"I'm sorry if I have disturbed you, my lady. I only wanted to make sure that you're doing alright," he replied earnestly. I couldn't help but smile at his concern.
"Oh, I'm doing fine. Thank you for the concern, Mr. Bosworth," I reassured him with a smile, and he nodded in acknowledgment.
"Oh, Mr. Bosworth, while you're here, can you please give me your opinion?" I requested, showing him the gown that I had drawn.
"My~ Did you draw this, my lady?" Mr. Bosworth exclaimed in surprise, and I nodded in confirmation.
"Well, I know I'm not very skilled at it, but I wanted to hear your opinion on the gown that I designed myself," I explained. Mr. Bosworth took another look at the design.
"Well?" I prompted, eager to hear his thoughts.
"Well, your 'drawing' needs improvement, my lady, but I do like the idea of the gown," Mr. Bosworth replied thoughtfully.
"You mean the design?" I clarified, and Mr. Bosworth nodded his head.
"Yes, but may I know why you're making this?" Mr. Bosworth inquired, curious. I smiled at his question.
"Well, I wanted to make a beautiful gown for mother. Do you think she'll like it?" I asked, hopeful for his approval.
Mr. Bosworth pondered for a moment before reaching into his pocket and retrieving a crumpled piece of paper.
"The lady forgot to close her door from her room, and I saw there were lots of papers on the floor, so I cleaned it up," Mr. Bosworth explained as he showed me the paper he had found.
"If the lady wants my opinion, then this will be my opinion," Mr. Bosworth stated firmly, drawing my attention away from the crumpled paper.
As I examined the paper, I realized it was one that I had crumpled and left on the floor. It was an off-shoulder design, plain and simple.
"If you add a few sparklers to this one, it would definitely look very good on her grace," Mr. Bosworth suggested, I stared at his eyes, he seems to be not lying to me, so I smiled.
"I love my lady's other designs, but this one is really beautiful. It doesn't show off much, but it will exude elegance." Mr. Bosworth remarked, his words resonating with confidence.
(I don't think this is beautiful, though.)
(It looks ugly to me.)
"But do you think mother will like it, though?" I voiced my doubts.
"Her grace will surely like everything you give to her," Mr. Bosworth assured me with a gentle smile, and I nodded in acknowledgment, feeling reassured by his words.
"Hmm..."
"Mr. Bosworth," I said, turning to face him once again.
"Yes, my lady?" Mr. Bosworth responded, his expression curious.
"What do you think of marrying me when I'm at the right age?" I asked, my tone serious as I maintained a neutral expression. Mr. Bosworth looked utterly surprised by my unexpected question.
"Pardon me, my lady?" he exclaimed, clearly taken aback. I couldn't help but smile at his reaction.
"That is quite... a random question, my lady," Mr. Bosworth remarked, still visibly surprised by what I have asked him.
Meanwhile, I couldn't help but glance at the fork on my table.
(HAHAHAHAH.)
(I didn't know I could also become serious if I wanted to be that serious HAHAHAHAHA.)
(HAHAHAHA why did I even ask that when I'm still in this small body? HAHAHAHHA.)
(Mr. Bosworth's face though WHAHAHAHA look at the face of Mr. Bosworth, I just caught him off guard.)
(Well, I may be in this body, but I'm mentally fourteen. But that also doesn't mean that I should be flirting with an elf who's already... pretty much older than me WHAHAHAHAHAHHAA.)
(But I can't help it and joke around with someone as serious as Mr. Bosworth.)
"What are you smiling for, my lady?" Mr. Bosworth inquired, noticing how I'm smiling and laughing a little on my own.
"Oh, I was just thinking of a funny joke," I replied with a smile, trying to contain my laughter.
"May the lady tell me about this joke you're thinking?" Mr. Bosworth asked.
I glanced at the fork on my table, where the blue-haired guy had transformed himself into, and couldn't help but smile.
(You wanna be a fork huh.)
(Let me dip you in my hot milk.)
I put the fork in the hot milk and smiled to myself.
"My lady?" Mr. Bosworth asked, sounding confused.
"Oh, right, the joke," I remembered, placing the fork back on the table.
"I have a knock-knock joke, Mr. Bosworth," I said, trying to hold back my laughter.
"Pardon me, my lady? A knock-knock joke?" Mr. Bosworth asked, but I just smiled in response.
"If I say 'knock knock,' you'll have to say 'who's there?' okay?" I instructed him. Mr. Bosworth paused for a moment before agreeing.
"Alright, my lady," he said.
"Okay... knock knock," I began.
"Who's there?" Mr. Bosworth responded, playing along.
"Cows go," I prompted, holding back my laughter, "after that, say 'Cows go who.'"
"Cows go... who?" Mr. Bosworth replied, his tone unsure.
"No, cows go moo," I burst out laughing at my own joke.
"...," Mr. Bosworth trailed off, clearly unimpressed.
"HAHAHA did you get the joke, Mr. Bosworth? HAHAHA," I asked between laughs.
"My lady... that was a terrible joke," Mr. Bosworth remarked, shaking his head as I continued to laugh at my own joke.
(Oh well, at least I found it hilarious, even if no one else does HAHAHA.)
"Okay, I have another joke. Wanna hear it, Mr. Bosworth?" I asked with a grin.
"Alright, what is it, my lady?" Mr. Bosworth replied.
"Knock knock," I said, trying to stifle my laughter.
"Who's there?" Mr. Bosworth played along.
"Hawaii," I replied, still struggling to contain my laughter.
"Hawaii who?" Mr. Bosworth inquired.
"I'm good, hawaii you?" I managed to say between fits of laughter, but Mr. Bosworth remained impassive.
(Man, it's even funnier since Mr. Bosworth can't understand my jokes WHAHAHAHA.)
However, my laughter came to an abrupt halt when someone else unexpectedly joined in—none other than the blue-haired guy who had transformed himself into a fork.
"Ah, so you actually turned yourself into a fork, huh?" Mr. Bosworth remarked, a smile finally gracing his lips.
"Fuck," the blue-haired guy muttered as he finally revealed himself.
"Didn't I tell you before?" Mr. Bosworth remarked sternly, grabbing the knife from the table.
"Oh yeah, gotta go," the blue-haired guy hastily responded before flying away.
"Well, that was fast... bye bye!" I waved to the departing figure before turning my attention back to Mr. Bosworth.
