"what did you mean by that" nick ask.
"look i wish i could explain it right now but i just can't mentally take it" i sigh. it was true i was exhausted.
"you know it's fine or whatever, but we're you saying that she's not ivy?"
"you heard me right nick, THAT girl in there her name is amber, amber clint"
"amber clint" nick repeats under his breathe "amber clint, amber clint, amber... clint" nick repeats her name trying to bring up memories "OH FUCK AMBER CLINT"
"yeah" i mutter
"OH MY GODDDD" nick was pacing back and forth with his hands on his head. i was actually getting worried about him so i get out of the car. he stops right infront of me and puts his hands on my shoulders "amber fucking clint. how could i have not seen it before. i feel like a goddamn idiot" he was shaking me slightly
"look it's okay nick, at least you know now"
"yeah but then what am i going to tell my brothers, that what, we don't know who fucking ivy is" he was breathing hard and he lets go of my shoulders and walks away "for fucksake i don't even know my childhood bestfriend."
"nick." i saw quitely
"what!" he snaps back "sorry my mind is just racing i didn't mean to yell"
"no it's okay, do you need a hug?" i ask
"yeah i actually do"
we embrace in a hug only lasting a few seconds. he pulls back
"i'm sorry but i don't even know your name"
"that's funny because you wouldn't believe me if i told you"
"i doubt that unless you pull out the bullshit card that your ivy" he jokes. i could feel my face go red with embarrassment. i lost my smile and went quite. "fuck. ivy?"
"suprise" i say quitely
"nah fuck this, you're probably just like amber , a fucking fake"
"unlike amber i can actually fucking prove it" i pull out my license and show nick. stupid me forgot to hide the embarrassing picture that went with it, well at least he will know it's not a fake ID. i also rummage through my lanyard to find a photo booth pic i keep of the four of us when we're were little. each of us took a square and i got the bolton one were we all made a funny face. "i could never bring myself to throw it away" i smile looking at the pic
"shut the actual fuck up" before i knew it nick was hugging me right "it's fucking you" i hug back.
