Taehyung got up from his chair slowly in shock.
All the flashback came again in his mind and felt a sudden fear envading his whole body.
On the other hand, his step-mother smirked.
Ha-rin: Missed me, Taehyung?
Y/n frowned and turned to Taehyung only to see fear all across his face.
She walked up to him and grabbed his hand which made him flinch.
Y/n: Taehyung, who is she? Why are you behaving like this?
He started to breath heavily as he felt like something was getting wrong with him.
Then Jimin spoke to Y/n in his low voice.
Jimin: Your Majesty....she is his s-step-mother....
Y/n widened her eyes and turned to Taehyung who gripped her hand tightly.
She understood that he was having an attack of fear and panic.
His knees felt like jelly and was about to fall but Y/n quickly grabbed him and made him sit on his chair.
Ha-rin tsked out of sudden.
Ha-rin: Tsk, such a weak Mafia Leader.
As she said that, Y/n clenched her jaw.
Y/n: We know very well who is a looser and who is the leader here.
The old woman scoffed.
Ha-rin: And how? Just by looking at me, he had an attack(?). Such a pity.
Y/n walked down and approached her.
Y/n: Who do you think you are? The respect and the position that my husband hold down, you are nothing in front of that. Just by snapping his fingers, your body will be collapsed onto the floor, lifeless.
Ha-rin burned in anger but didn't show it.
Ha-rin: Too much attitude is not good my child.
Y/n: And being too much fearless too is not good.
Taehyung suddently spoke.
Taehyung: Why you came back?
Ha-rin looked over Y/n's shoulders at Taehyung.
Ha-rin: Me? I will be straight forwarded, take your position away from you. And you know what is the funniest thing? Someone else too is involved with me in this matter.
His heartbeat suddently increased after hearing her.
Taehyung: Could it be someone with whom i'm really attached emotionally?
He thought.
Ha-rin: Do you wanna know?
Y/n: Who is it? Tell me.
Ha-rin: Oh you are quite in hurry, ok if you wanna know then the 2nd person is your father-in-law, aka Taehyung's dad.
Y/n, Taehyung and Jimin widened their eyes and looked at her in shock.
This time Taehyung couldn't bear it and got up before walking to her and standing beside Y/n.
Taehyung: Don't you dare to talk like that about my father!!!
Ha-rin was looking too confident which was making the 3 of them more and more nervous.
Ha-rin: Don't believe me, but take my phone which is taken by your freind Jimin. In this phone we have a clear conversation through messages and voice calls, recorded.
Jimin quickly took out her phone and started to scroll through it before getting up weakly then going to Taehyung.
He showed him all the prooves.
Taehyung could not believe that.
The messages read and the voice records heard by him were completely clear.
His shoulders fell down.
The person he trusted the most since his birth, betrayed him(?).
Back stabbed him(?).
He lost his trust now, he couldn't trust anyone in this world anymore.
Even if it would be Y/n instead of his father, then maybe he could gather himself but now it was his father....

With that he slowly started to walk out of the room.
He wanted to go really far from everyone.
Y/n looked at him through her glossy eyes.
Y/n: Guard?
She said lowly and the closest guard came to her and bowed.
Guard: Your Majesty!
Y/n: Keep an eye on Your Majesty from afar and keep giving me informations about him.
He nodded and bowed again before leaving from here.
She wipped her tears but they fell again.
She was so disappointed, the one she loved more than her own father, betrayed them.
Jimin suddently collapsed onto the floor when he couldn't bear his fever anymore.
Y/n widened her eyes.
Y/n: Jimin!!
She went to him and crouched down beside him.
Y/n: Jimin, Jimin!
She touched his face but sensed a high fever.
Y/n: Oh god, you have a high fever. Guard come here!
2 of them quickly came.
Y/n: Bring him to my room and call a doctor for his check-up.
They nodded and carried him before bringing him away.
Y/n then turned to Ha-rin.
Ha-rin: What about me?
She asked, too much confident.
Y/n: Bring her into the basement and tie her tightly on a chair. We will see what to do with her.
Ha-rin widened her eyes slightly.
The guards nodded and quickly brought her with them.
She sighed and rubbed her temple.
Y/n: Taehyung, you are not alone, i'm always here for you.
She said and looked down.
TIME SKIP...
Y/n was walking toward her room but got a call.
She frowned and picked it up.
Y/n: Hello?
Guard: Your Majesty!
Y/n: Oh, where is Taehyung? Is he fine?
Guard: Yes Your Majesty, he just came to the closest waterfall and is sitting calmly on a stone.
She sighed in relieve.
Y/n: Ok, take care of him.
Guard: Yes Your Majesty!
With that they cut the call and she walked inside of her room to see Jimin.
She opened the door and entered in only to see a doctor checking-up his state.
She then walked to them and spoke.
Y/n: Doctor?
The doctor looked at her and bowed.
Doctor: Your Majesty!
She smiled.
Y/n: Hello, erm how is Mr. Park?
He sighed.
Doctor: I just checked his state and he lacks sleep and food. So he got a high fever with a weakness.
Y/n looked at Jimin sadly.
Y/n: Oh i see.
The doctor nodded and packed his stuffs.
Doctor: May i leave, Your Majesty?
Y/n: Yes, thank you.
Doctor: You are welcome, Your Majesty. And you can give him a random medecine for his headache and all.
She nodded and he bowed again before leaving from here.
Soon Y/n sat down beside Jimin and looked at him.
Y/n: Should i call Ara? She must be worried about him.
With that she dialed her number and called her.
Few rings later, she picked up the call.
Ara: Hello, Y/n? Is that you?
Y/n: Yes it's me Ara, how are you?
Ara: Oh my god, it's been a long time. I'm good, how about you and your baby?
Y/n: We are fine too, i just called you to say that Jimin is here, at Taehyung's castle if in any case you are worried about him.
Ara: Is he? Why is he there? Is he alright?
Y/n: Yeah just a fever because of the lack of sleep and the work laod.
Ara: Oh god, thank you for telling me. Please take care of him, i can't come right now. I came at my grandma's house because she is also sick.
Y/n: Ok it's fine, i'll take care of him.
Ara: Thanks Y/n, i love you.
Y/n: Me too.
With that they cut the call and Y/n got up before bringing a bowl of cold water and a little towel.
She came back to him and started to give him the taps of cold water on his face, arms, neck and chest.
MEANWHILE...
Taehyung was looking at the waterfall in front of him.
Was his father really involved in this matter?
He wanted to talk to him and confirm that Ha-rin was lying, but those prooves?
They were not lying.
The were showing more than his father could say to defend himself.
Without him knowing it, a tear left his eyes when he remembered his childhood with him.
The way they used to play.
Used to eat together.
Used to bake a cake together.
Used to do outings.
Used to go to shopping.
Was all of that just a beautiful lie?
Was the past a beautiful lie and today a bitter truth?
His heart ached when Ha-rin's words played again in his mind.

He suddently started to sob and cried his heart out.
Even the guard who was looking at him from afar was feeling too bad for him.
Life is not easy.
