Rain wasn't a bad thing─ Myoui Mina thought...

In fact, she loved the rain when she was younger.
The solace she found within it,
The subtle noise it created,
And the cool feeling in the air it brought to her.

But now that she's older, she can't help but hate it─

"It's probably Mina's fault..."

She can't help but hate herself...

It was a common thing for people to blame her. A rumor spread around the school that she was the cause of all the gloomy weather, which led everyone to avoid her.

She wanted to deny them, but couldn't since they weren't wrong─ the weather reflects her emotions. If she's in a bad mood, it starts to rain and if she's happy, it turns sunny. It makes her wonder how they even found out her secret...

"A rainy day as usual" Mina muttered while wiping away the tears in her eyes. She hated it whenever people talked shit behind her back, especially when it's her ex-friends.

The rumor wasn't even confirmed, but they already abandoned her the moment they found out. Since then, she's been alone and gloomy. No one bothered reaching out to her, her parents tried their best to cheer her up but their attempts brought her the smallest amount of joy.

She washed her face and waited for her puffy eyes to go back to normal, then left the restroom shortly after. Her strides were short but rushed, she avoided all the stares pinned on to her before entering her empty classroom.

Everyone else was at the cafeteria, she was the only one who went straight to an isolated area to eat then return to class. She's gotten used to this kind of lifestyle, the rumor that started months ago hasn't died down one bit and had drastically affected her daily life.

She didn't want to care at this point, but seeing all those judging eyes on her made it hard to ignore. She's just glad she found comfort in her books, if not then the entire city would've been in one hell of a storm by now.

Releasing a sigh, Mina pulled out the novel she's been reading from her backpack and flipped through the pages. Once she began reading, the rain slowly stopped as the sun's brilliant rays slipped through the gaps between the clouds.

"You seem to be having fun there" A voice that popped out of nowhere spoke while tapping her shoulder.

Mina shrieked and flinched, almost falling out of her chair due to the shock. Her book that fell out of her hands was picked up by whoever was behind her as they hummed.

"Is this good? I haven't read it before, where'd you buy it?"

Mina instantly recognized who it was after turning around. Y/n L/n, her classmate and a fellow bookworm, was skimming though the novel while bombing her with questions.

It's been a long time since Mina spoke to anyone, so she couldn't properly get the words out of her mouth and ended up mumbling nonsense.

"Droplets Of Hope, what a wonderful title. Maybe I'll read it later on" Y/n smiled and adjusted her glasses before returning the book. "Mind if I borrow it once your done?"

"N- No, I wouldn't mind at all! I- I'll give it to you next week!" She squeaked, struggling to form a proper sentence without stuttering. "I only started... rea- reading it yesterday, so it'll take awhile. I- Is that okay with you?"

Happy with her response, Y/n nodded in a satisfied manner before walking back to her seat. "Thanks, Mina! You're always so nice"

Mina blushed, happy that she was complimented for the first time in so long. "You- You're very welcome..." Words that were barely above a whisper were said as the girl in glasses gave her a thumbs up.

Y/n averted her gaze from Mina's small smile to the view outside where she witnessed a very amusing scene─ The clouds were instantly cleared from the sky, and now the sun was out shining brightly just by the slight change in Mina's emotions.

"How interesting..." She quickly covered the huge smirk on her lips as a sense of excitement surged within her.

-

"Alright, I'll be pairing you guys up for a project. Of course, I'll be the one to choose your partner" After a long hour of explaining his lesson, the teacher inside Mina's class finally announced the arrival of a new project.

His statement caused a series of groans to erupt as he began calling out names. Mina sat there nervously, ever since her secret was exposed, she's always forced to do all the work when she's paired up with someone.

No one wanted to travel to her house on a rainy day, nor did they want her in theirs. She's gotten use to the unfair treatment, but she still hates it. "Myoui Mina and─"

The rest were as equally nervous as her, none of them wanted to be her partner, no one except─ "Y/n L/n... Make sure you don't dump all the work on Myoui, 'kay?"

The said girl smiled before nodding, then sent Mina a small wave. "You can count on me"

Mina has never been more relieved. She wasn't particularly close to Y/n, she can even count the amount of interactions they've had just to prove how unfamiliar they are with each other. But even so, she was grateful it was her and not anyone else.

Mina replied by giving her a small nod as the girl in glasses moved her attention back to their teacher. "That's all for today, see you tomorrow" He eventually left the room once he finished pairing everyone and went on to his next class.

After that, Mina was in a daze. She was stuck in her own thoughts while wondering if she'll be able to muster up the courage to invite Y/n over. When her mother found out about the unfair treatment she gets, Mrs. Myoui got paranoid that her daughter might get physically harmed by her own classmates one day─ leaving her with no choice but to forbid her from going out with anyone from her class.

The only way they'll be able to finish their project is to ask Y/n to come to her house, but she's too shy to invite her. Her ex-friends haven't even been to her place before, and now she has to bring over a classmate she has little knowledge of.

She eventually snapped back to reality when her phone began ringing. The screen displayed her mother's number as she quickly went outside to answer, not noticing how someone followed after her.

"Hello, mom?"

"Hi, sweetie. How are you doing?"

Mina couldn't help but giggle. "Is that why you called? And to answer your question, I'm doing fine"

"Well, I couldn't help but notice the nice weather outside" She could feel her mother smiling from the other line, which made her smile as well. "Did something good happen?"

Although embarrassed, Mina answered with a short hum. "A really nice girl from my class talked to me earlier, it made me happy so..." She paused after hearing her mom laughed.

"You sure are easy to please. As long as nothing bad happens to you then you're free to befriend anyone you like" The older woman said and wished her good luck. "I'll see you at home, be careful on your way"

"I will, bye" She hung up and released a satisfied sigh, happy to hear her mother worrying about her. She was currently at some random hallway her feet took her to, leaning on one of the windowsills to admire the sky.

The sight made her want to skip class just this once and remain there. It was a bad idea since majority of the teachers had high expectations of her, skipping would just result to disappointment.

But then again,

"Just this once... Let's break the rules just this once" She smiled upon feeling a gust of cool air kiss her skin, she won't regret doing this─ or so she thought...

"Well if it isn't the freak" She immediately froze when she recognized the voice that spoke behind her as multiple snickers followed after.

Her heart dropped once she turned around, seeing that it was the group of girls that abandoned her─ the group of girls she used to call her best friends.

"Did you finally decide to show us some mercy by getting rid of the rain?" Girl A mocked while pointing at the sun.

"You act like you're some kind of perfect princess, when in truth you're just a witch who brings bad weather" Girl B added as Girl C prepared her own insult then let her mouth run loose.

"Shouldn't you be expelled by now? You're the one who caused the most trouble out of everyone here because of the storms you bring. Just get lost already"

Their words alone were enough to bring tears to her eyes. The overwhelming feeling of displeasure she felt reminded her of how they backstabbed her that day─ and in response to her current emotions, thunderclouds formed out of nowhere as lightning crashed down to earth, burning down one of the trees in the school's garden.

Upon hearing the loud clap of thunder, the 3 girls immediately felt fear creeping up to them. They took multiple steps back before running for their lives, afraid that the so-called witch would curse them.

"Why did I have to be born this way?..." Mina mumbled as she sat down on the cold floor, legs folded closely to her torso with her forehead resting on her knees.

"The gods were probably jealous of you for being too perfect and decided to give you at least one flaw?"

The sudden voice caused a loud shriek to escape Mina's lips. She instantly fell to her side after seeing Y/n sitting next to her, the fact that she came from nowhere scared Mina to the point a chill ran down her spine.

The girl in glasses laughed at her reaction then stood on her feet. "I believe I haven't properly introduced myself yet" She stuck her hand out for Mina to grab as she flashed her a charming smile "I'm Y/n L/n, and natural disasters occur when I'm under too much pressure"

"Eh?" Was all Mina could say.

Y/n took her hand without permission and pulled her up before pointing at the storm outside. "You caused that, right?"

Usually she'd deny it and make up some kind of excuse for people to believe her, but after hearing what Y/n said about natural disasters, she ended up nodding as a yes.

"So, the rumors were true... You really are the cause of all the gloomy weather"

This time, Mina quickly denied it. "It's not my fault, it's this curse's fault! I hate the rain just as much as everyone else, but I can't stop it no matter how hard I try!"

"It's not a curse, it's a sign" Y/n said while taking a step closer to her. "A sign that you're special"

Her words made Mina freeze for a good 5 seconds...

"Ea- Earlier, you said something about natural disasters. What did you mean by that?"

"It's exactly what it means, but if you want to know more then you have to wait until I get to your house later. Since we have a project together, you wouldn't mind the idea of me coming over, right?" Y/n was always good at changing the topic, Mina noticed that whenever they spoke and right now was also an example of that.

With no other choice left, Mina nodded in defeat and agreed to let her come.

-

"So, your glasses prevent you from causing catastrophes?" Mina asked after a long hour of Y/n explaining how her power to create natural disasters worked.

The 2 were currently in Mina's room, sitting face to face on the floor with a coffee table between them. After their interaction back at the school, Mina quickly called her mother to ask if she could bring an acquaintance over. Mrs. Myoui was skeptical at first, but when she found out it was for a project she immediately agreed.

The first thing she did was demand an explanation from her guest. It was a long one and she basically forgot some of it─ but to sum it all up, disasters such as earthquakes and tornadoes occur when Y/n is under a certain amount of pressure, and the glasses she's wearing helps her control that power.

It was apparently a gift from her grandfather after her family found out about it. Since then, she never takes it off unless she's sleeping or in the shower.

"I don't really know how it works, but it helps" Y/n replied and let her wear it.

"It looks completely normal to me" Mina mumbled then returned it right away, afraid that the other girl might feel pressured without it. "Anyways, did you find out about me through the rumors?"

"Yes, and no" She said while wiping the lense of her most prized possession. "I actually had a hunch you were like me before any of that. Every time you were bored, the sky gets cloudy. And that time you cried over a cat that got ran over by a motorcycle, a thunderstorm appeared out of nowhere"

Mina blushed in embarrassment after remembering how she cried like a baby over a dead cat. "The rumors just fed my curiosity even more until I finally confirmed it earlier"

"So... The reason you even bothered talking to me was because you wanted answers? Or is it because you want to befriend someone with the same abilities as you?"

"You're not wrong, but you're also not right. Yes, I did want to be friends after I got what I wanted─ but that wasn't the main reason why I approached you" A smirk stretched on Y/n's lips as she stood up, towering over the japanese girl.

"Myoui Mina, let's make a deal" She crossed her arms before continuing. "I'll let you meet my grandfather and have him help you"

Her statement earned a nervous gulp from Mina. She knew things like this don't come for free, it was a given that she had to repay Y/n somehow─ but never did she expect her to ask for something so ridiculous...

"Under one condition," Her smirk grew wider until it turned into a mischievous grin. "You have to fly us there"

"Eh?..."

Absolutely impossible─ Mina thought...

Y/n L/n, an odd person that she rarely interacts with, wants her to fly them to Japan where her grandfather is currently staying.

Mina has no problems with going back to her homeland, she visits at least twice a year and majority of her family members are there.

But Y/n L/n wants her to fly them there rather than riding a plane─ and for what reason exactly? She has no clue...

"The wind is also a part of the weather, so you can obviously control it if you just try" The girl in glasses spoke as if she hadn't ask for the impossible a few seconds ago.

"Y/n, I don't control the weather! The weather reflects my emotions, there's a huge difference!" Mina stood up in a hurry while staring at the other girl with a look of disbelief.

Y/n smiled and gently pushed her back down to a sitting position. "I have my handy glasses with me and I'll gladly let you borrow them, so there's no way you'll fail in getting us there"

"But I thought your glasses prevents us from using our power?"

"If that were the case, then the rain would've stopped when you wore it earlier. The effects may vary depending on the current user"

"But─"

"We'll never know unless we try. My power is more dangerous so it's hard to control, but yours only involves the weather. You might actually be able to do it, but you just haven't taken the risk of trying"

Y/n began caressing Mina's cheek in attempt to calm her down, but the results were the opposite of what she intended. Her gentle strokes caused a deep crimson to paint Mina's face, their close proximity and Y/n's charming eyes were making her dizzy.

Mina wasn't used to something like this, but she held her squeaks in and quickly backed away. "Fi- Fine, let's meet up somewhere tomorrow and see if I can actually do it" She was too flustered to think of anything else and just went with whatever the other girl wanted.

"It's a deal then" Y/n grinned and sat back on the floor with her elbows resting on the coffee table. "My grandfather loved traveling when he was younger, he used the money he saved to buy a house in Japan since it was the country he visited the most. I'm sure he wouldn't mind his favorite grandchild visiting, so let's go once you master the ability to fly"

-

In a field far from civilization, a highschool girl laid on the grass below her. The gusts of wind flowing within the area, the flowers that brought a pleasant smell in the air, and the cloudless sky gave her a sense of comfort.

The sun's rays highlighted mother nature's beauty and the ongoing horizon were enough to make her melt. It would've been perfect if it weren't for Mina's loud screaming...

"KYAAAAAAHH!!" The mentioned girl was absolutely mortified as her body did multiple flips and summersaults in the air.

"Minari, calm down! You have my glasses, there's nothing to be afraid of" Y/n yelled, letting out a yawn while gazing up at Mina who was struggling to fly straight.

It turns out she was right after all. Although the weather still reflects Mina's emotions, they were able to confirm that she was indeed able to control it. With enough practice, she'll surely succeed in flying them to Japan─ this was the conclusion Y/n came up with.

"EASY FOR YOU TO SAY!!" Mina yelled while almost face planting on the ground. Luckily, she managed to fling herself back to the sky just before she could.

"Everything will be fine... I have Y/n's glasses with me, so there's no way I'll fail" She mumbled while controlling the wind to lift her upwards.

"Oooh~! You're finally getting the hang of it, keep flying while you still can! Atta, girl!" Y/n cheered below her.

Mina found it annoying how carefree her friend was about this. Yes, they're officially friends now after Y/n insisted on it, she had no reason to refuse anyway.

She let out a sigh then focused on trying to fly straight─ little by little, the bubbling excitement in her chest got rid of her fear.

The cold wind evoked a feeling of freedom. After her secret got out, it felt like she was trapped inside a cage─ neck, wrists and feet locked in chains to prevent her from escaping and finding happiness.

Books were her only companion, the only thing that kept her facade together. Acting as if the rumors didn't affect her by jumping into the world of fiction, then almost crumbling when she gets out.

For the first time in awhile, Mina felt free as she looked down at the person who helped her escape. Y/n L/n was ambitious and demanding, but Mina liked that personality of hers. She found thrill in her twisted ideas...

"Having fun?" Y/n yelled with a grin after Mina flew passed her.

"This is easier than I thought!" She replied while turning back. "Our trip to Japan will surely be smooth sai─" Mina was unable to continue her sentence when a bird suddenly crashed on her face, blocking her sight.

She spoke too soon...

Luck was rarely on her side. The fact that she was born different from everyone else proves that, the bird on her face was also a good example. "AAAHHH!!"

A high-pitched scream echoed around the field as she lost control of the wind and was now spinning uncontrollably in the air. Her fear only doubled when she began to descend.

Almost immediately, Y/n got up then dashed to where Mina was about to land. Her arms spread open just before their bodies collided, falling together on the ground beneath their feet.

Another accident occured after that...

Body against body, forehead on forehead and finally, lips against lips─  Mina stared at the equally shocked Y/n who was hugging her waist.

Y/n eventually lost her tight hold on Mina after the latter squirmed away while malfunctioning like a broken robot. "I- I- I- I'm so sorry!!"

"N- No, it's fine..." Y/n sat up, pretending as if none of that affected her when in reality, her mind was in total chaos.

Mina kept apologizing despite being told to stop, she was too flustered to think properly. That was her first kiss and it happened in the most unexpected way.

An odd mixture of feelings swirled within her chest. Excitement, confusion, embarrassment─ the weather wasn't able to detect a proper emotion because new ones came flooding in every 5 seconds.

The events that happened that day were too much for her to handle, and as a result, she suddenly fainted from exhaustion and overusing her powers.

"Mi- Mina!? Hey, what's wrong? Minari, Minari?!"

As tiring as it was, Y/n was left with no other choice but to carry Mina home...

"Good gracious, what in the world happened?" Mrs. Myoui panicked after seeing her daughter unconscious on a classmate's back. They managed to arrive faster than expected thanks to a taxi they rode after reaching the city.

Y/n smiled awkwardly. "We had too much fun"

Mrs. Myoui wasn't the type to trust someone easily, especially when they're from Mina's school. But the smile on her daughter's face was proof that Y/n wasn't lying.

She sighed while guiding their guest to Mina's room. "Having fun is great and all, but playing until one of you sleeps from exhaustion isn't exactly a good thing, y'know?"

"Sorry, having Mina around just makes me overly excited. We'll be careful next time" Y/n wasn't lying.  Mina was great to have around, her reactions were always so amusing and her personality was something she could tolerate.

Y/n considers everyone in her class an acquaintance. Aside from Mina, all of them were just the average jerks you see on a daily basis. She found a friend in Mina, and she plans to be on good terms with her for a long time.

She gently placed her down on the mattress before taking her glasses back. "Are those yours?" Mrs. Myoui watched the younger girl wear them as the latter nodded.

"I let her borrow it" Y/n smiled and exchanged goodbyes with the older lady shortly after stepping out of the house.

Mina did a surprisingly good job despite it being her first time flying. By her calculations, it won't take long before she fully masters it. A few more months of training until they'll finally get to Japan.

The girl in glasses smiled while pressing a finger against her lips. "I wonder if the clouds are softer than her lips..."

-

And once again, Y/n was right...

After 5 whole months of practice, the japanese girl was finally able to soar higher and steadier in the sky. The longest time she spent flying was 5 hours, and that just shows how much she's improved.

The sight of her in the air always left Y/n envious. She wanted to be up there, too. However, rather than showing her jealousy, she remained patient and kept cheering Mina on─ all that undying show of support was worth it now that they can finally achieve their goal.

"Are you ready?" Y/n asked, adjusting her glasses that was on her japanese friend. Today was the day of their departure, and the duo couldn't be more thrilled.

"Yup"

Next to them were 2 bags full of their belongings, Y/n wanted to stay the night at her grandparents' home and dragged Mina into it. The latter was reluctant at first, she thought they'd leave right away after solving her problems. It turns out that wasn't the case...

And after an endless amount  of pestering from Y/n, she gave up and lied to her mother about sleeping at a friend's house. To her surprise, her mom instantly agreed. And when she asked why, Mrs. Myoui replied with "Y/n is your only friend, isn't she? I seem to have grown fond of her, she's nice and caring towards you. I have no reason to hold you back, have fun, sweetie"

She blushed at the memory. Y/n was indeed a kind person despite her outrageous ideas. "Shall we go?" As soon as her partner nodded, Mina held Y/n's hand before lifting their bodies in the air.

"Woah, ah! Careful, I'll fall!" Y/n's panicked squirming earned a giggle from the japanese girl. But after finally calming down, sparkles swarmed her eyes when she saw her feet leave the ground as they came closer to the clouds.

Y/n reached her hand out to touch the white lumps of cotton, only for her fingers to pass through them. The cool feeling brought a smile to her face. With the speed they're staying at, they'll arrive just before Mina runs out of energy.

"Tell me if you start to get dizzy, okay?"

Mina's eyebrow shot up. "That's my line, this is your first time flying so you might feel like vomiting"

In response, Y/n laughed with pride before smirking. "I can summon natural disasters! As if a measly trip to Japan will get me sick. Watch me, you'll be surprised of how good I─ "

She was wrong. Of course she was wrong...

The poor girl's motion sickness kicked in after an hour of flying, her pathetic state left Mina amused and cackling for a good 5 minutes. Now she was out cold on the japanese girl's back with her chin placed on her friend's shoulder.

A smile graced Mina's lips while staring at Y/n's face. Her scent was strong and pleasant, she liked it. She likes her...

A small blush colored her pale skin before she quickly looking away. As much as she wants to forget it, their kiss hasn't left her mind at all. When she's eating, in the shower, or just laying in bed─ whenever she's not focused, that exact scene pops up in her head.

She wants to kiss her again...

It seems she's fallen in love...

Was it because Y/n approached her when everyone else decided not to? Or maybe it was because of her carefree nature that Mina came to like, her annoying teasing, her voice, her habits, or maybe even the way she acts out of mischief?

Or maybe she just likes everything about her? Yeah, that's probably it...

Out of embarrassment, she decided to think of something else. It was a bit hard since the girl behind her kept groaning cutely, and suddenly squeezing her in a tight hug.

Soon enough, Mina had to wake her up when her grandparents' house came into view. Y/n showed her a picture before they left, so it wasn't hard to find it. "We're here"

Upon hearing about their arrival, she was immediately revived as she hopped off Mina's back. Y/n's eyes darted around the familiar backyard, a sense of euphoria surged within her while taking her glasses back. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah! A bit tired, but I'm completely fine"

Y/n responded with a nod then took her hand, dragging her to the sliding door where she knocked multiple times until an old man's voice entered their ears. "I hear ya, I hear ya! Quit knocking, how'd you even get back there?!" The door was eventually slid open, revealing Y/n's grandfather.

"Yo! How've you been, grandpa?" His granddaughter greeted in the most enthusiastic voice, making him freeze.

Why is she here─ he thought, looking behind them to check if her parents were here, as well. When he saw no one, he took his time to analyze what was going on.

The old man didn't know what to feel. Confusion? Shock? Annoyance for not informing him about their visit?

He decided to go for the first one. "Why are you here?─ actually no, scratch that... How are you here?"

"She flew us here" Y/n pointed at the girl beside her who immediately greeted him with a bow and a short introduction.

"What do you mean she flew you here?!" Now he chose to be shocked.

"What are you yelling on about over there!?" Another voice crashed in their conversation as Y/n's grandmother emerged from the kitchen, holding a spatula.

Her eyes widened when she saw an unexpected figure standing outside. "Granddaughter!" She exclaimed in shock before rushing to where they were, checking if it was really her beloved grandchild. "Y/n, what in the world are you doing here? Where are your parents? And who is that next to you, is it your girlfriend?!"

With a flustered look on her face, she ignored her grandma's questions and guided all of them to the living room where they can have a proper talk. "So, I know this may sound shocking─"

"The fact that you're here is already shocking, what more surprises do you have?" Her grandfather asked with a tired sigh. Y/n was the kind of girl who loved taking risks and getting into dangerous situations, and he suspects that whatever she did today was probably the most life-threatening thing she's done yet...

"This girl next to me is Mina, the weather reflects her emotions and she wants it to stop, so I brought her to you. As I said earlier, I had her fly us here using her power"

He was right...

"Y/N L/N, OH GOD! OF ALL THE THINGS YOU COULD HAVE DONE" He slumped on his seat, hand on his forehead while his wife laughed at both him and her granddaughter. "And you agreed to do it?!" He looked over to Mina with eyes of disbelief.

"We- Well, it was part of our deal. If I wanted to be cured then I have to fly us here, it was my payment for her assistance"

"Y/n!" He glared, making the said girl look away.

"Calm down, dear. Although what she asked for is ridiculous, she was only trying to help a friend" Y/n's grandmother chuckled, caressing her husband's back in attempt to ease his nerves.

Another sigh escaped his lips before he pushed himself up to a proper sitting position. "Why exactly would you bring her to me? Unlike you two, I'm an ordinary old man"

"My glasses" Y/n was the one answer. She took off her glasses and handed them to him. "After you found out about my power, you gave this to me so I don't accidentally create natural disasters. And when I let Mina borrow them, she was able to fly us here without any problems. I was wondering if you had anything that stops her powers completely"

For a moment, the room fell silent. Too silent for Y/n's liking. No one dared to speak or even react, this frightened Mina a bit─ what if they didn't have anything to give? What if they didn't want to help her?

What would be the point of traveling there? All her hard work would be for nothing...

Y/n's grandfather shifted his gaze to his wife, quietly asking for permission if he can finally tell their grandchild the truth. When she nodded, he sighed and told them to listen closely. "For starters, that was a lie..."

"What?..." The both of them asked in unison.

"Those are just your average glasses you see everywhere, their not even magical to begin with" Their jaw dropped at the revelation as Y/n jolted up in disbelief. "After we found out, I gave it to you because I thought it would calm you down whenever you're under pressure. Something to assure you that everything will be fine, I only said what I told you back then for that reason alone"

"So... All this time it was just me controlling myself and not the glasses?"

He nodded. "For Mina-chan's case, the glasses probably just boosted your confidence because of Y/n saying they're special. It was your willpower that brought you here, if you were able to fly here then controlling your power wouldn't be a problem. All you need is practice and determination"

Rather than feeling disappointed, Mina felt hope bubbling within her. If that's all she needs to do then she'll definitely achieve her goal at some point. "I'll do my best!" She beamed before bending forward to show her gratitude towards the elderly couple.

"And as an apology for my granddaughter's childish wishes, you're free to do anything you want with her. She's now obligated to help you, so make sure she's at least useful to have around"

Y/n flinched in surprise, she has no problems with helping Mina but the way he said it made it seem like she was being sold off. "Well... I can't say no now that my grandparents said so" She laughed awkwardly then proceeded to reach out for her glasses. "Oh, and before I forget..." Carefully placing them on her partner's face, Y/n smiled and patted her shoulders.

"You can keep them, you need it more than I do"

"I- Is it really okay?"

"I don't see a reason why it wouldn't be" She grinned as her grandmother got up and escorted them to a spare bedroom.

"You two must be tired, go rest up. I'll call you when dinner's ready"

-

Mina couldn't sleep...

Too many thoughts were running inside her mind. Thoughts that evoked a feeling of euphoria─ after finally processing everything she did today, she was awestruck by her own capabilities. She actually managed to fly Y/n and herself to Japan.

Another reason for her lack of drowsiness was the the person sleeping next to her. Y/n was too close, she could practically feel the warmth she was giving off and her hot breath was fanning Mina's reddening cheeks.

She turned to her side and began staring at Y/n's face. She found what she was doing quite creepy, but at the same time, she can't stop herself from admiring what was in front of her.

Y/n L/n, a girl who loves taking risks, jumping into dangerous situations, and letting her wild ideas run free─ never did she expect such a person would be the one to help her spread her wings.

She's glad, she's glad that it was her, she's glad that it's Y/n's hand she's holding right now. "I like you..."

"Who doesn't?" As soon as Y/n's eyes opened, the first thing she did was wink at the surprised Mina. "And since I'm so nice, I guess I'll admit that I like you too"

"Wha─ I thought you were asleep!"
