Sid's PoV
I just finished with my meeting and entered my cabin.
I called my assistant.
"What's the schedule after this Shruti" I asked her.
"Your schedule is clear sir, no meetings. You just have to sign some documents" She replied blushing.
Yaa blushing.
Don't ask me why, maybe she has a crush on me or something.
But she knows I have a girlfriend so ya whatever.
I was signing some documents and suddenly my gaze fell on my engagement ring.
( Didn't find better than this 😅)
I need to remove this ring before going to meet Shruti... otherwise she'll get angry.
And then I have to wear this again.
Not because I want to people..naah... because my mom threatened me to do so. 🤷🏻
Engagement, wedding everything happened in one week and that week changed my fucking life.
How I wish I could say NO to all those things dad said.
Flashback :
All of us were sitting at the dinner table enjoying dinner peacefully and casually talking.
It's the rule in the family no matter how much busy anyone is...you need to eat the dinner together. And I like it.
Who doesn't want to spend time with family.
"Sid , we need to talk to you about something" Mom said
"Yaa mumma , what is it" I replied
"Uhh..you need......you need to get married" She said
"Mumma....I know you want me to get married and give to grandchildren...but I am just 25 and trust me I'll marry Shurti...but I need to be more sure." I replied smiling.
"You are gonna marry Shurti" Karan asked.
"Yaa.... what's the problem in that." I replied shrugging.
"Didn't knew your taste was this bad but whatever, if you are marrying her...then good luck with you life dude" he said sadly
"What...." I was about to say something but mumma interrupted.
"Who told you, you are marrying her or anything. First listen to me "
"Yaa...sorry" I replied smiling sheepishly.
Mumma looked at papa and they had I don't know what conversation through their eyes and then dad spoke up.
" You will be getting married to my best friend's daughter" Dad said
To say I was shocked would be an understatement. How can they say that.
But wait...they could be joking right.
"Hahaha , nice joke papa" I replied smiling.
"Who said anything about it being a joke Siddharth" papa replied
Okk...he took my full name means he is damm serious. But what the fuck.
And did I mention anything about peaceful dinner. Well, forget that.
This dining table will now become a war zone.
Yaa yaa I know dramatic much but who said only karan has the right of being dramatic ( huffs angrily)

Coming backkk......
"Papa....wha...what are you even saying. You know I have a girlfriend right? " I asked him trying to control my anger.
"I do, but I can't do anything now" he said
"What do you mean my that" I asked now getting angry.
Dad stood up and left towards his study.
Now what the actual hell. I was talking to him about something and he left just like that.
I was about to speak something but then I saw dad coming out of his study with a paper in his hand.
Now what's this.
"Here" he said keeping the paper in front of me.
When I looked at it I realised it was not actually a paper it was grandfather's will.
"What does the will has to do with anything you said" I asked angrily
"Seems like you are not in a mood to read it. So, it states that you need to marry grandfather's best friend's granddaughter in order to claim all the property and the company we have." He replied
"What the actual....." I was stopped by my dad again.
" Better mind your tongue gentleman" he said
"When did this even happen dad and why am I not aware about this".
"Even I didn't knew that he wrote anything of this sort in his will. He has given it to his lawyer, who sent it to me a few days ago" dad said
Then the realisation dawned upon me. Grandfather died just a few years ago and all of his business and property were 70% owned by him as he transferred 30% of it to dad.
Not that he didn't want to but because dad was the one who refused.
It was decided that the whole property would be transferred to my name once I turn 25 and if I do not fulfill the conditions of the will then the property and the business will be handed over to my cousin's which I didn't want.
Of course who would want to give all these things to their cousin when they are the one who worked day and night for achieving this goal.
This company... Me , dad and grandfather we all have worked day and night to make this company top most in India and even outside India and when we have achieved this I cannot just give it to someone else.
You'll must be wondering why it's only me who is getting all of the property of grandfather and not Karan.
Well I was the one who worked in grandfather's company while Karan.... he owns his own company and brand and all of father's property would be transferred to him....that's why father will have only 30% of grandfather's property.
"Wait, but dad you said that I would need to marry your best friend's daughter and now you are saying that I need to marry grandfather's best friend granddaughter what is all this" I replied frustatedly.
"Well your grandfather's bestfriend's granddaughter happens to my best friend's daughter" dad replied.
" Great....just great" now I was both angry and frustrated.
" There would definately be some way to get out of this mess dad" I asked him hopefully.
" Ya, actually there is" dad said.
"Really...what ...pls tell me papa" I replied getting a bit happy.
"Your grandfather's will states that only if the girl says no to this marriage then it can stop" dad said
"Ohh ofcourse, once she knows I have a girlfriend....she will say no. Who would want to marry a man who is already committed" I said getting happy.
" You can try son. Anyways, we'll be going there tomorrow. Be on time" saying this dad left.
" I don't why, but I really want you to marry her Sid. Rest it's your decision" mom said and left as well.
This whole while Karan was really silent and that was surprising. He isn't the one to stay quiet at all and especially during all the drama. I was thinking about this and was about to ask him...when his phone ringed.
"Yaa...uh yaa I came to know about that" he said on the call
"Don't worry, I am coming. You too reach there" he said again and cut the call.
I was about to ask when he said.
"Uh..bhaii...I...I need to go. A friend needs me and yaa don't worry everything will be fine" he said smiling and left.
Okk what the hell just happened.
Karan called me bhai.
God...can this day get any more weird. Let's hope everything goes well tomorrow.
