"Well, we're gonna skip the guns today. Here." Bobby Says

Younger Bobby gives Young Dean and Elena a catcher's mitt.

"Here. Today... you're gonna throw a ball around, just like a regular snot-nosed little jerk." Bobby Says

"You want us to play catch, come on Elena barely catch a ball." Dean Says

"Why because I'm a girl, please I can catch way better than you." Elena Says

"Sure Elena." Dean Says

"I can to." Elena Says

Elena shoves Dean on the ground, Bobby hurries I've to them.

"Hey Hey, cut it out now what did I saw about hitting boys." Bobby Says

"But it's Dean." Elena Says

"So what, now you two are gonna cut it out and be nice to each other alright, now Dean and Elena apologize." Bobby Says

"I'm Sorry Elena." Dean Says

"I'm Sorry Dean." Elena Says

"Good now let's play." Bobby Says

Bobby tosses the ball at Dean, who catches it and throws it to Elena who throws it back to Bobby.

"You know, for a guy who'd rather break his wife's heart than give her a baby, you make a hell of a nanny and a dad." Rufus Says

"Shut up, Rufus. We need another door." Bobby Says

They look around and see a shed behind them.

"Let's go." Bobby Says

"Seriously, though, Bobby, how come –" Rufus Says

"Dog with a bone, Rufus." Bobby Says

"No, I really want to know, man – why no kids at first?" Rufus Asks

"Ain't that deep. Dad was a mean drunk. I figured I'd be just like him. And, hey, look – I was right. No sense passing on the legacy." Bobby Says

"Man, you're too hard on yourself. You're more of a cranky drunk. You do know that whatever you're trying to avoid with the eye rolls and the grump-a-lumping – that's exactly where you need to go." Rufus Says

"I ain't avoiding nothing." Bobby Says

"Yeah, sure." Rufus Says

"Get off my ass, Rufus." Bobby Says

"Hey, Bobby, I'm trying to help you here, okay? You want to get out of here, or you want to die." Rufus Says

"I'm trying. How am I supposed to know what I don't want me to know?" Bobby Says Then opens the shed doors.

BOBBY'S HOUSE

Mrs.Singer is serving dinner. Mr. Singer sits at the kitchen table reading a newspaper. The Young Boy, who we now know is Bobby, runs into the room and sits down at the table.

"Hey, look. The crown prince decided to drop by for a late bite." Mr.Singer Says

"Oh, he – he was just washing up. So, w-who would like to say grace?" Mrs.Singer Says

"Hell with grace. Pass me the biscuits." Mr.Singer

Young Bobby reaches for the biscuits and knocks over a glass of milk. The glass falls to the floor in slow motion and breaks.

"I'm sorry." Bobby Says

"What is the matter with you?" Mr.Singer Says

lI don't know. I'm sorry." Bobby Says

"You break everything you touch!" Mr.Singer Yells

Mrs.Singer is on her knees cleaning up the glass.
"Let's just have a nice supper."

"A nice supper?" Mr.Singer Says

"Mm-hmm." Mrs.Singer Says

Mr.Singer sweeps his plate onto the floor. "There's your nice supper." He drinks from a glass of whiskey. "I get no respect in this house."

Bobby and Rufus look at each other. Bobby slides the kitchen doors closed.

"What? Now, you can't tell me that wasn't gnarly enough to go spelunking in." Rufus Says

"That was any given Tuesday night. Believe me – it was nothing special." Bobby Says

"No, no, no. You're scared." Rufus Says

"No, I ain't. I just know we're in the wrong place, Rufus." Bobby Says

There is thunder and the ground shakes.

"You – Okay, Bobby, you don't have time. That sound was not the weather, and you know it. We can't keep bopping through your greatest hits forever. That reaper's gonna catch up. I mean, if there was some way to stop the damn thing... But it's a reaper, Bobby. You're screwed." Rufus Says

"I know what we're gonna do." Bobby Says

"What?" Rufus Says

"We're gonna stop the damn reaper." Bobby Says

HOSPITAL

"So, there's nothing else we can do?" Sam Asks

"I'm sorry we just have to wait. We'll see if the swelling goes down." Doctor Says

"How long?" Elena Asks

"It's hard to say in cases like this." Doctor Says

"Well, he's lasted this long. That's something, right?" Dean Says

"Well, yes. Listen – the bullet didn't shatter. Only one hemisphere of his brain was injured. These are all positive things. But...I don't want to give you false hope here. He's far from out of the woods. Most of the time, cases like this..." Doctor Says

"They die." Elena Says

"Right now it comes down to him. I'll keep you updated." Doctor Says

The Doctor leaves and a Man walks up behind Sam, Elena and Dean.

"Excuse me. Sorry to interrupt. Is one of you Robert Singer's next of kin?" He Asks

"Yes that would be me, I'm his daughter." Elena Says

HOSPITAL CORRIDOR

The Man is talking to Elena. "We know this is a stressful time."

"Yeah, I know, Um No offense – you can skip the garnish. What, did his insurance lapse, or what?" Elena Asks

"We're sorry to ask, but, um, did your Father ever make his wishes known i-in regards to organ donation? Organs are only viable for a very limited window –" He Says

"Viable?" Elena Says

"We're just hoping some good can come of this tragic-" He Says

"Listen to me. I'm gonna say this once. He's not gonna die. It's one bullet. He's gonna be fine because he's always fine." Elena Says

"I apologize." He Says

"Why are you talking to me like he's gonna die, huh? I do my job! Do your jobs! Save him!" Elena Says

"Of course they're doing everything they can." He Says

Elena punches the glass covering a sign next to the Man's head, her knuckles are bleeding.

"Walk away from me. Now!" Elena Says

The Man walks away, Elena walks in the other direction and goes outside.

The sign outside the hospital reads "Hammonton Regional Hospital". Elena walks down the steps and shakes his hand. She sees a black car parked diagonally across two parking spaces directly in front of the hospital.

"Dick! I know you're in there come on out you dick" She pounds on the heavily tinted closed rear window almost breaking it. The window lowers, revealing Dick Roman. "What, did you come here to finish the job?" Dick smiles at her." Yeah? Well, come on. Right here, right now, out in the open, you and me, Dick Roman." Elena Says

Bystanders are using their mobile phones to record the confrontation.

"See? Deciding to jump a famous guy ain't all upside. You can kill me right now – you want to see it online." Elena Says

"Maybe you should go check on that father of yours. He can't be feeling too frisky right about now. I'm a very good shot." Dick Roman Says

Elena kicks the door, her eyes start to glow red.
"I'd wipe that dumb smile off your face you prick, We're coming for you, and not just to hurt you – to kill you. You understand me!" Elena Says

"Come on, Elena I can't be killed." Dick Says

"You're gonna wish you could, then." Elena Says

"That's some conviction. You'd really crush it on the motivational circuit." Dick Says

"You're either laughing because you're scared or you're laughing because you're stupid. I'll see you soon, Dick." Elena Says

BOBBY'S HOUSE

"It's in an old King James Bible." Rufus Says

Bobby takes a Bible from the bookshelf and leafs through it. The pages all appear to be blank.

"So, what exactly are we doing now, Bobby?" Rufus Asks

Bobby flips through some pages then puts the Bible down on a table. "Well, technically, you're correct. You can't stop a reaper, not permanently. Only their boss can do that, and we don't want him involved."
He takes out another book. "Ah. Now we're cooking with gas." Bobby puts the second Bible down on the table and opens it. The pages have been cut to hide a large cross.

"What is that?" Rufus Asks

Bobby picks up the cross. "Well, Sam and Dean have run up against these suckers a couple, three times. Picked up a few tricks – enough to slow them down a hair, at least."

"All right. Let's work some mojo." Rufus Says

HOSPITAL

Dean is getting a coffee from a machine. He walks over to Sam, who is still leaning on the wall outside BOBBY's room, Elena walks up to the boys.

"Hey What did that guy want?" Sam Asks

"Uh, nothing. Just some insurance mook. Dick Roman was out there." Elena Says

"What? What happened?" Dean Asks

"Nothing...For now. It was just a friggin' staring contest. That was about it." She Sighs "What's the update?" Elena Asks

"The swelling's down a little. They took him off sedation. Apparently, he – he started fighting his tube. So they pulled them out, and he's breathing on his own." Sam Says

"That's good, right? Is that good?" Elena Asks

"Yeah. Well, doctor said best-case scenario." Sam Says

"All right, so when they gonna take the bullet out?" Elena Says

"Elena, t-they're not even – they're not even gonna try that, not yet." Sam Says

"What does that mean?" Dean Says

"The word's "abrading," I think." Sam Says

"English." Dean Says

"Cutting out the dead brain tissue." Sam Says

A Man and Woman in the middle of a conversation stop near Sam, Elena and Dean.

"That's if the doctor even thinks it's worth the risk." Sam Says

Elena walks over to the door where Bobby is and watches him.

"Can I talk to you?" Sam Says

Sam and Dean walk away "What? Talk about what?"

"You know what." Sam Says

"No, we're not gonna have that conversation." Dean Says

"Well, we need to." Sam Says

"He's not gonna die." Dean Says

"He might." Sam Says

"Sam." Dean Says

"Dean, listen – we need to brace ourselves." Sam Says

"Why?" Dean Says

"Because it's real." Sam Says

"What do you want to do? You want to hug and – and say we made it through it when Dad died? We've been through enough." He looks over at Elena. "Hell Shes been through enough." Dean Says

Dean walks away, He pauses at the door and looks at Sam, then leaves. Sam sits down in a chair and presses on the palm he injured
