Chapter 23
Peace Offering.
"Rere! Ayan na yung sundo mo!" I almost choke myself when mommy shouted. W-whut? My sundo? Who? Kian?!
Shems! Hindi pa me tapos kumain! Gosh! Nakakahiya if Kian will see me na puno ng food yung bibig ko. Hala..
I drunk all my orange juice and stoop up. As I stood up, I saw in my peripheral vision how Gray frowned. Nasa hapag pa rin kasi kaming apat while Daddy and Mommy were on the living room.
"Sundo? Hanep! May taga-hatid sundo na pala si Rere?" Gray asked in a shock tone.
"Yep!" Si del lang ang pumansin sa sinabi ni Gray. I was busy chewing my foods while Rios was on his phone.
"Kaya pala iba na ngayon 'yong kasabay ni Rios umuwi at pumaso- aray!"
Napatingin ako kay Gray na ngayon ay hindi maipinta ang mukha while Rios was throwing a glare on him. His phone was on the table na. Nakabaliktad nga lang.
"May sinasabi ka?" Rios asked in a serious tone. Uh-Ohh.
Mali ka ng ina-annoy, Gray. Hehe.
I chuckled kaya napatingin sa akin si Gray. He glared at me but I just shrugged it and smirked at him, teasingly.
"Ouchy ba?" I asked. Mas lalong tumalim ang tingin niya sa akin kaya I can't help it. Napahalakhak na lang ako sa emosyong mababasa sa face niya.
"That's bagay naman sa'yo. Bleh! :P" tumakbo ako palabas ng dinning room but Gray followed me kaya nagmukha kaming naghahabulan nong dumating na us sa living room.
Both of us gasped when we saw who is in the living room.
I should expect this! But nagulat pa rin me! I thought nasa labas si Kian. But no! Mommy invited him inside kaya naman kinabahan ako and nagulat!
Oh no! Gray was behind in me! Baka magalit siya!
"Uh? Pres! Ikaw pala yan!" Gray raised his right hand, sign that he recognized Kian. "Hindi ko ini-expect na nandito ka 'ah! Na-miss kita pres! Pa-kiss nga." Ngumiwi ako sa sinabi ni Gray.
W-What... What the fudgee barr?
Gray walked towards Kian while his hands were open wide. What is he planning to do? Is he insane? F-Fudgee barr?
Makakalapit na sana si Gray to him when Kian clear his throat before facing mommy and daddy who's now looking at Gray, shock. Yes, mommy and daddy! Gray is a psycho! Nakakahiya po siya! Eww!
"Uh.. Tita.. We'll keep going." Kian bowed his head a little. Lumapit siya sa akin at kinuha ang bag ko. He hold my hand and grabbed me. Is he mad? I don't know! But why am I upset na he saw me with Gray? He don't like me naman diba? I'm the one who confessed but ba't siya galit?
He was smiling while saying goodbye to everyone but I noticed that he didn't say goodbye to Gray!
Is he angry? Huhu..
Wala us ginawa. Promise.
He was caring my bag as we leave the house and here I am, silently praying na sana he's not angry kasi wala namang reason to be mad. Plus, he didn't warn me to stay away to that fudgee barr gray na annoying.
Ano ba yan..
Naguguluhan na ako sa kaniya, 'ah! Buti na lang like ko siya.
He opened the door for me kahit na he's cold and serious as dude! Hmp. I pouted and slid myself inside his car while thinking should I let this slide or explain myself.
Pero I don't need to explain my side cause in the first place, we didn't do anything atsaka that's simple!
Second, why siya galit?
Tumingin ako sa kaniya nang makapasok siya. His eyes were cold. Colder than usual and I mentally heard him gritting his teeth.
Galit talaga siyaaaa! What to doooo?!
Dahil sa kaba ay hindi me nagsalita. Nakatingin lang ako sa labas and when I realized na we're already heading to our school, Disappointment eats me.
We're... We're not going out for a.. breakfast like what he said..
I sighed. It's okay naman. I already eat diba? That's okay. I nodded to convince myself.
When we reach the University, he removed his seatbelt and lumabas na without glancing me. Ngumuso ako before removing my seatbelt, I was about to open the car's door nang bigla na lang niya itong binuksan.
I looked at him to see his reaction if hindi na siya galit pero... Ganun pa rin!
Mas lalong lumalim ang kunot ng noo niya. And fudgee barr... I'm starting to get annoyed na!
At dahil naiinis na ako, Hindi ako lumabas. Huh! He's getting to my fudgee nerves na! Bahala siya jan! Sana he'll get tired standing jan!
Argg!
Wala naman us ginawa eh!
I raised my eyebrows at him when he look at me, confused. He creased his forehead. "What?" I asked.
"We're getting late. Lumabas kana." Even his voice were cold now! Hindi na siya mahinahon like dati! Wala nga kaming ginawa! Bat siya mad?!
"What's your problem ba?"
"C'mon, Reign. Lumabas kana. Hm?"
Now, ako na naman ang napakunot ang noo! His voice changed! Medjo huminahon na but.. I am irritated na! I don't care about his low voice!
My problem is.. Bakit siya galit?
"I don't have any problem. Now, mobe yourself cause you're late."
"What's your problem ba kasi! Kanina ka you!" I can't help it and raise my voice on him.
"Ang dali mong makalimot." He chuckled without humor. My forehead creased of what he said.
"What? I can't understand you. Can you direct to the point na? I'm late na diba?" I asked sarcastically. Kahit maaga pa naman! He's OA. SSG officer's time doesn't work on me!
Fudgee barr na tao!
"Huh-uh? I told you not to bother to eat breakfast right? But what did you do? You ate breakfast together with that assh*le!" I gasped loudly when I remembered. My lips parted and my eyes widened. His eyes narrowed and his lips reddened a bit. He sighed at my reaction.
Namulsa siya at malamig na tumingin sa akin. "I'll keep going. Pakisarado na lang yung sasakyan, don't bother to lock it. No one want to be grounded if they steal my car." He said before he turned his back at me and start walking out.
Oh.. em.. g! I forgot our breakfast date! Hala.. oh no!
What to doo? What to dooo?!
Hala!
Kaya pala siya angry sa akin! Not because of what he saw earlier but because I forgot what he said!
Gosh!
I SCANNED the whole area. Okay. It's maayos naman ang pagkakagawa. I looked at the simple picnic basket on a picnic mat.
Okay na this, right? This is my peace Offering to kian. To say na sorry kasi nakalimut ako.
"Ano? Okay na ito? Bakit mo kasi kinalimutan?" Tina asked.
Tina and Bella helped me to prepared these also, Gray..
Gray was now on SSG office. He'll try to convince Kian to come here at the Garden.
I hope ma-convince niya.. huhu. Sorry na, Kian.
"I.. I don't know.." I asnwered. I'm sweating bullets while waiting for Gray signal if he convinced Kian.
I really hope so..
"Hala! Nag-text na si Gray! Papunta na raw silaaa! Waaah! I'm excited!" Bella exclaimed.

"Talaga?!"
"Really?!"
Sabay na shout namin ni Tina thats made us giggled, even though na I'm nervous of what his reaction.
"Oo, sabi niya 'Ito na. Papunta na kami jan.' see? Kaya babye! Aalis na kami! Good luck, Pretty Conyo girl! Yiee! Inlove na siya!" Bella laughed as she pulled tina's hand.
They bid their goodbyes pero my attention was on kian arrival and reactions. Wooh! Don't be nervous! You can do this!
I was cheering myself when I heard someone's voice.
"What is this?"
"Ahh!" I shrieked. Gulat akong humarap sa pinanggalingan ng boses. "Kian?"
"Uh, what is this?" He asked again. Hindi ako makapagsalita, wala akong maisip na words to say. I glanced at Gray to ask some help but he just wave his hand at me.
'bye!' he mouthed.
Binalik ako ang tingin ko kay Kian. I automatically stepped back when he stepped forward. He raised his eyebrow at me na like his hinahamon me.
"Uh.. my.. my Peace O-Offering." I stuttered.
He bit his lower lip before letting it go and formed a playful smirk. "Your what?" He asked while stepping forward and syempre! I stepped backward kasi.. I'm nervouse! This is my first time doing these!
"My.. peace offering.." I mumbled. "I'm s-sorry if I.. If I forgot your.. invitation." His forehead creased.
"If you're sorry, stop stepping back." Tumango ako at kahit na gustong-gusto ko ng umatras ay di ko nagawa. Kada hakbang niya ay lumalakas ang kabog ng puso ko.
Oh gosh.
I closed my eyes when he's finally in front of me. I heard him sighed and next thing I know..
He embraced me!
"You're forgiven, sky."
