We arrived safely back at Korea in the morning. Then we had our lunch sponsored by the company. Chaeng called congratulating me for we completed successfully the world tour. She also asked if we can meet later after her work and I agreed.
We went back to our dorm and rested for a while.
Ay 4 pm I started preparing. After taking a shower my phone rang and it was Manager unnie who said PDnim wants to talk to me now saying it's urgent. The driver is now waiting at the lobby. Of all the time why now? It'll be the first time me and Chaeng will meet again.
I hurriedly dressed up, took my things and went down to the lobby. Manager unnie was waiting for me at the entrance. She guided me up towards the meeting room.
I went in the meeting room and immediately saw PDnim who was standing by the board.
Me: PDnim, you called for me?
PDnim: Ah, Mina, yes. Will you please have a sit here.
He gestured the one on his right. I noticed someone was sitting at PDnim's left side whom I can't see for the back of his chair was facing me.
As I went nearer the man on the chair turned his chair. I was shocked seeing who it was.
Me: Grandpa?
Why was he here? And with PDnim? Oh no...
PDnim: I'll let you two talk.
As soon as the door closed I said:
Me: Grandpa, you did not...
Grandpa: You're not giving me a choice
Me: A choice? But I...
Grandpa: Don't lie. I know what happened in Paris.
This shocked me. How did he know that? Does this means...
Me: You still had me followed? Don't you trust...

Me: A what grandpa?
He looked at me with anger and so did I. He leaned back and took a deep breath and spoke.
Grandpa: We have an agreement Mina and what you're doing is unacceptable!
Me: Unacceptable? What is it exactly that I'm doing that's unacceptable? Maybe our perception of unacceptable are different.
He looked at me shocked probably with me talking back at him.
Grandpa: Is this what you have learned here? I knew it! this was a mistake! I told your father this is not how a Myoi should grow up. You were always the smart one but why chose this?
Me: Yes we had an agreement, an agreement that shouldn't have existed at all. We're at an era where everyone has the freedom to choose. You can't choose my future for me. Just for the love of preserving your precious company you're willing to give up your granddaughter's happiness. You're not protecting your family's legacy, you're only protecting your position. Protect your family's legacy? but this is how you treat your family. Your company is not your legacy, your family is. Now I wonder if I really have your blood on my veins.
Grandpa: How dare you to speak to me like that!
He suddenly stood up with his hand hitting the table.
I turned my back on him, trying to calm myself down. My blood is boiling, my heart's racing and I can feel the hotness of my face. I have never felt this much anger before.
I can hear Grandpa walking nearer.
Grandpa: You...
I took a deep breath and faced him. My intense looked might have stopped him from continuing.
Me: I did not broke our agreement. She's just a friend. So don't you dare touch her, my girls or this agency or you'll lose the heir of your precious company.
I bowed and walked out of the room. When I turned at the corner I stopped as I heard my phone kept ringing. It was Chaeng, and that's where the tears started flowing. I messaged her that I won't be able to make it, that something came up. Once I sent it, I had my back on the wall, slid to the floor and broke down. I then heard my name.
I looked up and saw PDnim. He held out his palm which I took and he helped me up. He guided me towards the nearest room and had me sit at the sofa. My tears kept flowing unable to stop. He went out and came back with a glass of water and tissue. He handed both to me which I took. He then sat by the couch and was silent for a while.
When I calmed down I drank the water and looked at him.
Me: PDnim...
PDnim: Mina. Let me tell you something. Your Grandfather talked to me earlier. He told me about your agreement. He was surprised when I told him I know about it already, specially that you told me about it before you signed with us.
He paused looking at me.
PDnim: He then threatened that if I don't take you away from a certain girl, he would destroy the group even the company.
I gasped with horror on what I'm hearing.
Me: No. He can't do that. PDnim.
He reached out and pat my arm.
PDnim: Shh.. Mina... Calm down.
How can he say I should calm down at times like this. Then I noticed how calm he is. Why though? Wasn't he bothered by what my grandpa said?
Me: But...
PDnim: I know how capable your grandfather is. But I won't let him hurt you, the girls and the company. I respect your agreement with him and it's a matter of family affairs.
He paused. Looking at me eagerly.
PDnim: You're smart Mina. You can do things your way without anyone dictating you what to do. I am deeply touched by how you fought your grandfather just to protect us.
Me: PDnim, you shouldn't take this calmly. I know my grandpa, he'll do anything just to have everything goes the way he wanted to.
PDnim: I know. But Mina, it is not your job to protect us. He can't do anything legally to us and we'll see to it that he won't go beyond what's legal.
He looked so sure that he can protect the girls and the company.
Me: I just don't want anyone to get involved with my problems.
PDnim: Ah. The classic Mina move. Always keeping it to herself and solving it alone.
I was taken aback.
PDnim: Forgive me for being too observant. I realize I have to be specially after your absence. The agency isn't just about making you girls work, we will take care of you girls too. You don't have to fight alone like you always do. You have your girls with you.
Does he mean what I think he means. He wants me to let the girls know.
Me: I do appreciate everything that you and the agency have done and have been doing for us. With the girls... I can't let them know. I can't let them be stressed out of this situation, specially that it might result to having their dreams shattered because of me.
He leaned his back to the chair and took a deep breath.
PDnim: You really are stubborn but I do get what you mean. We'll be working on this. For the meantime whatever your decision is, please let me know.
Me: I will. I'm really am sorry for this.
I then stood.
Me: I... I think I already took much of your time, I'll go now.
PDnim: I could always make time Mina. Come to me whenever you need me.
I nodded and turn about to leave the room.
PDnim: oh one more thing.
I stopped and turned to look at him.
PDnim: Say hi to Chaeyoung for me. I might be asking her help for my future house project.
I then went stiff. He did he knew that it was Chaeng? I forgot that he knew Chaeg even before I met her.
PDnim: I somewhat had a hunch, though it's your grandfather who confirmed it. I was a bit shocked but not that much.
I can feel my cheeks burning. So he knows about me and Chaeng
Me: PDnim, I...
PDnim: I don't really want to meddle with our artist's love life unless the artist are not being responsible enough to separate work from their personal interest. And you do know how people react to those type of relationships. But I personally have no problem with this. Specially I know Chaeyoung.
