Y/n's pov:
"Are you sure you're alright, Y/n?" Opera-san asked with much worry.
"Of course I am." I scratched the back of my head. "Singing just makes me nervous and before I knew it, I was walking back home." I said nervously and awkwardly laughed.
"Alright. Well if you need anything, make sure to ask me." He said assuredly.
I felt all warm and fuzzy inside. I smiled and came a bit closer and patted his head. "Thanks, Opera-san." It was quite a wholesome scene. Tints of pink formed on our cheeks.
"M." Opera-san replied shyly.
I went back to my room and thought about how I could beat that old geezer up. "Aha! I'll just use the classic 'betcha never had a girlfriend huh! hwahwahwa'." That's right...no...that's wrong. He looks like the type to ignore girls.
I sighed and slept it off.
I woke up the next morning to the sound of the horrendous alarm clock Iruma gave me. I got up and prepared myself. I walked out my room as Opera-san greets me. "Ohayo, Y/n."
"Ohayo, Opera-san!" I walked over to him and patted his head. And again, he looked down shyly.
"Have breakfast." He said.
"Oh! I don't eat breakfast. Tell Iruma not to wait for me." I said.
"Oh. I see." his ears drooped. I giggled and patted him again.
"Alright. Have a good day!" he said with a smile.
I waved at him, said my bye-byes to chair-demon because I was going ahead early. Then I took a long walk to Babyls.
I finally arrived at the front doors of the school. I walk inside and head to the faculty. I see Balam-sensei and greet him. "Balam-senseiiii!!" I waved.
"O-Ohayo, Y/n!" he waved back.
"So we're the only ones here, huh." I looked around.
"It's 4:30 in the morning. No one would be here that early." he said.
"So why are you here this early?" I asked.
"I slept here." he said shyly as he scratched the side of his head with his index finger. He then suggested we go to his room[where he does his research and stuff] and talk about humans.
He showed me around and told me his theories and stories about humans and whatnot. Even if he wears a mask, I could still see he's smiling a lot and having fun. We then sat down for tea. "Balam-sensei...I have something to tell you, but you cannot tell anyone." I said firmly.
"W-what is it."
I looked deep in his eyes. "I'm human."
His eyes widened in shock. He stayed silent for about 8 minutes and the first words that came out of his mouth were, "Could I touch you?" but when he realized what he said, he froze and his cheeks grew redder than tomatoes. Well, I kind of expected this because Iruma told me what it was like when he confessed too. "Sure!" I said with a smile. I pulled out my hand and placed it in front of him. He slowly placed his hand in front of mine and touched me. After he touched my hand, he squirmed out of pure excitement. It was cute. We both laughed and for a long while, we talked about humans and earth.
It was already 5:13 am. We hear a knock on the door. "Ehem!" a voice said. Balam-sensei opened the door. I greeted. "Ohayo, I'm Y/n L/n." and smiled.
Both Balam-sensei and the other teacher gave each other confused looks.
"OI brat! Can't believe you came back with that attitude." He said.
I couldn't believe the attitude of this person. "Oi...calm down Kalego-kun." Balam-sensei blocked me.
My eyebrows furrowed, "I didn't even do anything to you!" I said with my hands on my hips. I truly did not do anything. This guys is crazy.
He turned his back on me. "Hmph. Whatever." he said and went out and slammed the door.
I looked at Balam-sensei. "Who the hell even is that? Is he even a teacher?" I said.
Balam's pov:
Y/n kept complaining about Kalego-kun like it was their first encounter. I was silent and let her blabble about it for a few minutes because I didn't know what was going on. But come to think of it, when we met yesterday, chair-demon did say something about her having to go through unexplainable things...what could that mean? And looking at her, she doesn't seem to be faking it either.
I then explained to her about Kalego-kun's personality and what happened yesterday.
"Oh. I see." She said as she taps her chin with her finger.
"You don't remember?" I asked as I filled her empty cup with tea again.
She takes a sip, "That idiot. If I wasn't a human, I'd kill him." How intimidating.
"I don't mean to pry on your business but why don't you remember?" I asked.
"Well, a lot of traumatic things happened to me when I was young and the only thing I knew how to cope with it was through forgetting. And after a while, it somehow affected me psychologically and physically." She looks down at her tea with sad eyes. "Ther're a lot of empty spaces in my memory but oh well" She looks up to me and smiles, "I just live with it."
Amazing. Humans are so frail and weak but they sure do carry a lot on their shoulders. Fascinating.
"I'm surprised you're not huffing and puffing with anger right now." I giggled poked her fluffy cheek.
"yeah that's cause experiencing it and someone telling it are two different things. Since I don't remember how I felt yesterday, it doesn't put a big impact on me." she said.
I asked her more questions and then talked until the opening ceremony. After it was done, students went back to their classrooms and the abnormal class gathered around Y/n to ask her if she was okay. She just laughed it off and began to talk bad about Kalego.
Y/n's pov:
We all went back to the faculty and I began taking down notes and topics. Kalego-sensei didn't bother me at all until chair-demon assigned Kalego-sensei and I a task to solve together.
We were called to chair-demon's office.
"How are you two doing? Are you having fun here, Y/n?" Sullivan asked.
"I'm doing good but I don't like him." I pointed to Kalego-sensei.
He flinched, "I don't like you either."
"Alright alright! Anyway, the task I assigned you." He paused. "It's quite a troublesome one and I can solve it myself but Iruma-kun's having a small party at home and I can't miss it." he said while wiggling around like a happy grandpa.
Kalego-sensei crossed his arms and mumbled under his breath. "Tch. I bet you did this on purpose."
"I'll send you guys to Kalkasas Center." Sullivan said.
"N-Nani? But that's 5 hours away!" Kalego-sensei yelled in shock.
I looked over to Kalego-sensei, "Alright sensei!" I made a thumbs up. "Looks like it's just gonna be me, you and our last bit of sanity."
I could almost see Kalego-sensei's soul leave his body as he turns pale.
